וזאת המצוה החקים והמשפטים אשר צוה יהוה אלהיכם ללמד אתכם לעשות בארץ אשר אתם עברים שמה לרשתה
Καὶ αὗται αἱ ἐντολαὶ καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα καὶ τὰ κρίματα, ὅσα ἐνετείλατο κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν διδάξαι ὑμᾶς ποιεῖν οὕτως ἐν τῇ γῇ, εἰς ἣν ὑμεῖς εἰσπορεύεσθε ἐκεῖ κληρονομῆσαι αὐτήν,
And this is the commandmentⓘ, the statutes and the ordinancesⓘ that the Tetragrammaton your God has commanded to teach you, that you may put them into practice in the land toward which you are crossing overⓘ to take possession of it.

למען תירא את יהוה אלהיך לשמר את כל חקתיו ומצותיו אשר אנכי מצוך אתה ובנך ובן בנך כל ימי חייך ולמען יארכן ימיך
ἵνα φοβῆσθε κύριον τὸν θεὸν ὑμῶν φυλάσσεσθαι πάντα τὰ δικαιώματα αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ, ὅσας ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον, σὺ καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν υἱῶν σου πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ζωῆς σου, ἵνα μακροημερεύσητε.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——that you may fear the Tetragrammaton your God, keeping all his ordinances and his commandments, as many as I command you todayⓘ, you and your children and your children's children, all the days of your life, that you may be long-lived.—— Masoretic (MT) ——That you may fear the Tetragrammatonⓘ your God, keeping all his statutes and his commandments that I command you, you, and your son, and your son's sonⓘ, all the days of your life, that your days may be prolongedⓘ.

ושמעת ישראל ושמרת לעשות אשר ייטב לך ואשר תרבון מאד כאשר דבר יהוה אלהי אבתיך לך ארץ זבת חלב ודבש
καὶ ἄκουσον, Ισραηλ, καὶ φύλαξαι ποιεῖν, ὅπως εὖ σοι ᾖ καὶ ἵνα πληθυνθῆτε σφόδρα, καθάπερ ἐλάλησεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων σου δοῦναί σοι γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι.
Hear, therefore, O Israelⓘ, and take care to put into practice, that it may be well with youⓘ and that you may multiply greatly, as the Tetragrammaton, the God of your fathers, has said: a land flowing with milk and honeyⓘ.

שמ ישראל יהוה אלהינו יהוה אח
Καὶ ταῦτα τὰ δικαιώματα καὶ τὰ κρίματα, ὅσα ἐνετείλατο κύριος τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ἐξελθόντων αὐτῶν ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου Ἄκουε, Ισραηλ· κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν κύριος εἷς ἐστιν·
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And these are the ordinances and the judgments that the Tetragrammaton commanded to the children of Israel in the wildernessⓘ, when they had come out of the land of Egypt: Hear, O Israel: the Tetragrammaton our God is one Tetragrammaton — the Shemà, Israel's confession of the divine oneness;—— Masoretic (MT) ——Hear, O Israelⓘ: the Tetragrammaton is our God, the Tetragrammaton is Oneⓘ.

ואהבת את יהוה אלהיך בכל לבבך ובכל נפשך ובכל מאדך
καὶ ἀγαπήσεις κύριον τὸν θεόν σου ἐξ ὅλης τῆς καρδίας σου καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τῆς ψυχῆς σου καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τῆς δυνάμεώς σου.
And you shall love the Tetragrammatonⓘ your God with all your heartⓘ, with all your soulⓘ and with all your strengthⓘ.

והיו הדברים האלה אשר אנכי מצוך היום על לבבך
καὶ ἔσται τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα, ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον, ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ σου καὶ ἐν τῇ ψυχῇ σου·
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And these words that I command you today shall be in your heart and in your soulⓘ;—— Masoretic (MT) ——And these wordsⓘ, which I command you today, shall be upon your heartⓘ.

ושננתם לבניך ודברת בם בשבתך בביתך ובלכתך בדרך ובשכבך ובקומך
καὶ προβιβάσεις αὐτὰ τοὺς υἱούς σου καὶ λαλήσεις ἐν αὐτοῖς καθήμενος ἐν οἴκῳ καὶ πορευόμενος ἐν ὁδῷ καὶ κοιταζόμενος καὶ διανιστάμενος·
And you shall repeat them, drilling them inⓘ to your children, and you shall speak of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise upⓘ.

וקשרתם לאות על ידך והיו לטטפת בין עיניך
καὶ ἀφάψεις αὐτὰ εἰς σημεῖον ἐπὶ τῆς χειρός σου, καὶ ἔσται ἀσάλευτον πρὸ ὀφθαλμῶν σου·
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——and you shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and it shall be immovableⓘ before your eyes;—— Masoretic (MT) ——And you shall bind them as a signⓘ upon your hand, and they shall be as frontletsⓘ between your eyes.

וכתבתם על מזוזת ביתך ובשעריך
καὶ γράψετε αὐτὰ ἐπὶ τὰς φλιὰς τῶν οἰκιῶν ὑμῶν καὶ τῶν πυλῶν ὑμῶν.
And you shall write them on the doorpostsⓘ of your house and on your gates.

והיה כי יביאך יהוה אלהיך אל הארץ אשר נשבע לאבתיך לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב לתת לך ערים גדלת וטבת אשר לא בנית
Καὶ ἔσται ὅταν εἰσαγάγῃ σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου εἰς τὴν γῆν, ἣν ὤμοσεν τοῖς πατράσιν σου τῷ Αβρααμ καὶ Ισαακ καὶ Ιακωβ δοῦναί σοι, πόλεις μεγάλας καὶ καλάς, ἃς οὐκ ᾠκοδόμησας,
And it shall come to pass, when the Tetragrammaton your God has brought you inⓘ into the land that he swore to your fathersⓘ, to Avrahàm, to Yitzchàq and to Yaʿaqòv, to give you great and good cities that you did not build,

ובתים מלאים כל טוב אשר לא מלאת וברת חצובים אשר לא חצבת כרמים וזיתים אשר לא נטעת ואכלת ושבעת
οἰκίας πλήρεις πάντων ἀγαθῶν, ἃς οὐκ ἐνέπλησας, λάκκους λελατομημένους, οὓς οὐκ ἐξελατόμησας, ἀμπελῶνας καὶ ἐλαιῶνας, οὓς οὐ κατεφύτευσας, καὶ φαγὼν καὶ ἐμπλησθεὶς
and houses full of every good thing that you did not fill, and hewn cisternsⓘ that you did not dig, vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant; and you shall eat and be satisfiedⓘ.

השמר לך פן תשכח את יהוה אשר הוציאך מארץ מצרים מבית עבדים
πρόσεχε σεαυτῷ, μὴ ἐπιλάθῃ κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου τοῦ ἐξαγαγόντος σε ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου ἐξ οἴκου δουλείας.
Take good heedⓘ that you do not forget the Tetragrammaton, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondageⓘ.

את יהוה אלהיך תירא ואתו תעבד ובשמו תשבע
κύριον τὸν θεόν σου φοβηθήσῃ καὶ αὐτῷ λατρεύσεις καὶ πρὸς αὐτὸν κολληθήσῃ καὶ τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ ὀμῇ.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——The Tetragrammaton your God you shall fear and him alone you shall serve in worship and to him you shall cleaveⓘ and by his Name alone you shall swear.—— Masoretic (MT) ——The Tetragrammaton your God you shall fearⓘ, and him you shall serveⓘ, and by his Name you shall swearⓘ.

לא תלכון אחרי אלהים אחרים מאלהי העמים אשר סביבותיכם
οὐ πορεύσεσθε ὀπίσω θεῶν ἑτέρων ἀπὸ τῶν θεῶν τῶν ἐθνῶν τῶν περικύκλῳ ὑμῶν,
You shall not go after foreign godsⓘ, among the gods of the peoples who are around you.
15
כי אל קנא יהוה אלהיך בקרבך פן יחרה אף יהוה אלהיך בך והשמידך מעל פני האדמה
ὅτι θεὸς ζηλωτὴς κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐν σοί, μὴ ὀργισθεὶς θυμωθῇ κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐν σοὶ καὶ ἐξολεθρεύσῃ σε ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς γῆς.
For a jealous Godⓘ is the Tetragrammaton your God in your midstⓘ, lest the anger blaze upⓘ of the Tetragrammaton your God against you and he destroy youⓘ from the face of the ground.
16
לא תנסו את יהוה אלהיכם כאשר נסיתם במסה
Οὐκ ἐκπειράσεις κύριον τὸν θεόν σου, ὃν τρόπον ἐξεπειράσασθε ἐν τῷ Πειρασμῷ.
You shall not put to the testⓘ the Tetragrammaton your God, as you put him to the test at Massàhⓘ.
17
שמור תשמרון את מצות יהוה אלהיכם ועדתיו וחקיו אשר צוך
φυλάσσων φυλάξῃ τὰς ἐντολὰς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου, τὰ μαρτύρια καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα, ὅσα ἐνετείλατό σοι·
Keeping you shall keepⓘ the commandments of the Tetragrammaton your God, his testimonies and his statutesⓘ that he has commanded you.
18
ועשית הישר והטוב בעיני יהוה למען ייטב לך ובאת וירשת את הארץ הטבה אשר נשבע יהוה לאבתיך
καὶ ποιήσεις τὸ ἀρεστὸν καὶ τὸ καλὸν ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν, ἵνα εὖ σοι γένηται καὶ εἰσέλθῃς καὶ κληρονομήσῃς τὴν γῆν τὴν ἀγαθήν, ἣν ὤμοσεν κύριος τοῖς πατράσιν ὑμῶν
And you shall do what is right and goodⓘ in the eyes of the Tetragrammaton, that it may be well with you, and you shall enter and take possession of the good land that the Tetragrammaton swore to your fathers,

להדף את כל איביך מפניך כאשר דבר יהוה
ἐκδιῶξαι πάντας τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου πρὸ προσώπου σου, καθὰ ἐλάλησεν.
thrusting outⓘ all your enemies before you, as the Tetragrammaton has said.
20
כי ישאלך בנך מחר לאמר מה העדת והחקים והמשפטים אשר צוה יהוה אלהינו אתכם
Καὶ ἔσται ὅταν ἐρωτήσῃ σε ὁ υἱός σου αὔριον λέγων Τί ἐστιν τὰ μαρτύρια καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα καὶ τὰ κρίματα, ὅσα ἐνετείλατο κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν ἡμῖν;
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And when tomorrow your son asks you, saying: «What are these testimonies and these ordinances and these judgments that the Tetragrammaton our God has commanded usⓘ?» — the son's question, the root of the haggadàh of Pesach ——— Masoretic (MT) ——When your son asks youⓘ tomorrowⓘ, saying: «What are the testimonies, the statutes and the ordinances that the Tetragrammaton our God has commanded you?»,

ואמרת לבנך עבדים היינו לפרעה במצרים ויוציאנו יהוה ממצרים ביד חזקה
καὶ ἐρεῖς τῷ υἱῷ σου Οἰκέται ἦμεν τῷ Φαραω ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ, καὶ ἐξήγαγεν ἡμᾶς κύριος ἐκεῖθεν ἐν χειρὶ κραταιᾷ καὶ ἐν βραχίονι ὑψηλῷ.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——then you shall say to your son: «We were slaves of Pharaoh in the land of Egypt, and the Tetragrammaton brought us out of there with a strong hand and with an uplifted armⓘ».—— Masoretic (MT) ——then you shall say to your son: Slaves we were of Pharaohⓘ in Egypt, and the Tetragrammaton brought us out of Egypt with a strong handⓘ.

ויתן יהוה אותת ומפתים גדלים ורעים במצרים בפרעה ובכל ביתו לעינינו
καὶ ἔδωκεν κύριος σημεῖα καὶ τέρατα μεγάλα καὶ πονηρὰ ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ ἐν Φαραω καὶ ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ ἐνώπιον ἡμῶν·
And the Tetragrammaton set signs and wondersⓘ great and grievousⓘ in Egypt, against Pharaoh and against all his house, before our eyesⓘ.

ואותנו הוציא משם למען הביא אתנו לתת לנו את הארץ אשר נשבע לאבתינו
καὶ ἡμᾶς ἐξήγαγεν ἐκεῖθεν, ἵνα εἰσαγάγῃ ἡμᾶς δοῦναι ἡμῖν τὴν γῆν ταύτην, ἣν ὤμοσεν δοῦναι τοῖς πατράσιν ἡμῶν.
And us he brought out of thereⓘ to lead us in and give us the land that he had sworn to our fathers.
24
ויצונו יהוה לעשות את כל החקים האלה ליראה את יהוה אלהינו לטוב לנו כל הימים לחיתנו כהיום הזה
καὶ ἐνετείλατο ἡμῖν κύριος ποιεῖν πάντα τὰ δικαιώματα ταῦτα φοβεῖσθαι κύριον τὸν θεὸν ἡμῶν, ἵνα εὖ ᾖ ἡμῖν πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας, ἵνα ζῶμεν ὥσπερ καὶ σήμερον.
And the Tetragrammaton commanded us to put into practice all these statutes, to fear the Tetragrammatonⓘ our God, for our goodⓘ, all the days, to keep us aliveⓘ as it is today.
25
וצדקה תהיה לנו כי נשמר לעשות את כל המצוה הזאת לפני יהוה אלהינו כאשר צונו
καὶ ἐλεημοσύνη ἔσται ἡμῖν, ἐὰν φυλασσώμεθα ποιεῖν πάσας τὰς ἐντολὰς ταύτας ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν, καθὰ ἐνετείλατο ἡμῖν κύριος.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And it shall be mercyⓘ for us, if we take care to put into practice all these commandments before the Tetragrammaton our God, as the Tetragrammaton has commanded us.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And righteousness shall be for usⓘ, if we keep to put into practice all this commandment before the Tetragrammatonⓘ our God, as he has commanded us.
