כי יכרית יהוה אלהיך את הגוים אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך את ארצם וירשתם וישבת בעריהם ובבתיהם
Ἐὰν δὲ ἀφανίσῃ κύριος ὁ θεός σου τὰ ἔθνη, ἃ ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι τὴν γῆν αὐτῶν, καὶ κατακληρονομήσητε αὐτοὺς καὶ κατοικήσητε ἐν ταῖς πόλεσιν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν τοῖς οἴκοις αὐτῶν,
When the Tetragrammaton, your God, has ⓘ the nations whose land the Tetragrammaton, your God, gives you, and you have ⓘ of them and dwell in their cities and in their houses,

שלוש ערים תבדיל לך בתוך ארצך אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך לרשתה
τρεῖς πόλεις διαστελεῖς σεαυτῷ ἐν μέσῳ τῆς γῆς σου, ἧς κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι.
you shall ⓘ three cities in the midst of your land that the Tetragrammaton, your God, gives you to take possession of it.

תכין לך הדרך ושלשת את גבול ארצך אשר ינחילך יהוה אלהיך והיה לנוס שמה כל רצח
στόχασαί σοι τὴν ὁδὸν καὶ τριμεριεῖς τὰ ὅρια τῆς γῆς σου, ἣν καταμερίζει σοι κύριος ὁ θεός σου, καὶ ἔσται καταφυγὴ ἐκεῖ παντὶ φονευτῇ.
You shall ⓘ and ⓘ the territory of your land that the Tetragrammaton, your God, gives you as an inheritance: and it shall be so that there every ⓘ may ⓘ there.

וזה דבר הרצח אשר ינוס שמה וחי אשר יכה את רעהו בבלי דעת והוא לא שנא לו מתמל שלשם
τοῦτο δὲ ἔσται τὸ πρόσταγμα τοῦ φονευτοῦ, ὃς ἂν φύγῃ ἐκεῖ καὶ ζήσεται· ὃς ἂν πατάξῃ τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ ἀκουσίως καὶ οὗτος οὐ μισῶν αὐτὸν πρὸ τῆς ἐχθὲς καὶ πρὸ τῆς τρίτης,
And this is the case of the slayer who may take refuge there and ⓘ: whoever strikes his neighbor ⓘ, not having been his ⓘ ⓘ.

ואשר יבא את רעהו ביער לחטב עצים ונדחה ידו בגרזן לכרת העץ ונשל הברזל מן העץ ומצא את רעהו ומת הוא ינוס אל אחת הערים האלה וחי
καὶ ὃς ἂν εἰσέλθῃ μετὰ τοῦ πλησίον εἰς τὸν δρυμὸν συναγαγεῖν ξύλα, καὶ ἐκκρουσθῇ ἡ χεὶρ αὐτοῦ τῇ ἀξίνῃ κόπτοντος τὸ ξύλον, καὶ ἐκπεσὸν τὸ σιδήριον ἀπὸ τοῦ ξύλου τύχῃ τοῦ πλησίον, καὶ ἀποθάνῃ, οὗτος καταφεύξεται εἰς μίαν τῶν πόλεων τούτων καὶ ζήσεται,
As when a man goes with his neighbor into the ⓘ to cut wood, and his hand ⓘ with the ⓘ to fell the tree, and ⓘ from the wood and reaches his neighbor, and he dies: this man shall flee to one of these cities and live,

פן ירדף גאל הדם אחרי הרצח כי יחם לבבו והשיגו כי ירבה הדרך והכהו נפש ולו אין משפט מות כי לא שנא הוא לו מתמול שלשום
ἵνα μὴ διώξας ὁ ἀγχιστεύων τοῦ αἵματος ὀπίσω τοῦ φονεύσαντος, ὅτι παρατεθέρμανται τῇ καρδίᾳ, καὶ καταλάβῃ αὐτόν, ἐὰν μακροτέρα ᾖ ἡ ὁδός, καὶ πατάξῃ αὐτοῦ τὴν ψυχήν, καὶ ἀποθάνῃ, καὶ τούτῳ οὐκ ἔστιν κρίσις θανάτου, ὅτι οὐ μισῶν ἦν αὐτὸν πρὸ τῆς ἐχθὲς καὶ πρὸ τῆς τρίτης.
lest the ⓘ pursue the slayer while his ⓘ and overtake him, because the way is long, and strike him to ⓘ, whereas to him no ⓘ is due, since he was not his enemy yesterday nor the day before.

על כן אנכי מצוך לאמר שלש ערים תבדיל לך
διὰ τοῦτο ἐγώ σοι ἐντέλλομαι τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο λέγων Τρεῖς πόλεις διαστελεῖς σεαυτῷ·
Therefore I ⓘ you, saying: three cities you shall set apart for yourself.

ואם ירחיב יהוה אלהיך את גבלך כאשר נשבע לאבתיך ונתן לך את כל הארץ אשר דבר לתת לאבתיך
ἐὰν δὲ ἐμπλατύνῃ κύριος ὁ θεός σου τὰ ὅριά σου, ὃν τρόπον ὤμοσεν τοῖς πατράσιν σου, καὶ δῷ σοι κύριος πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν, ἣν εἶπεν δοῦναι τοῖς πατράσιν σου,
And when the Tetragrammaton, your God, ⓘ your territory, as he ⓘ, and gives you all the land that he ⓘ to your fathers,

כי תשמר את כל המצוה הזאת לעשתה אשר אנכי מצוך היום לאהבה את יהוה אלהיך וללכת בדרכיו כל הימים ויספת לך עוד שלש ערים על השלש האלה
ἐὰν ἀκούσῃς ποιεῖν πάσας τὰς ἐντολὰς ταύτας, ἃς ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον, ἀγαπᾶν κύριον τὸν θεόν σου, πορεύεσθαι ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτοῦ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας, καὶ προσθήσεις σεαυτῷ ἔτι τρεῖς πόλεις πρὸς τὰς τρεῖς ταύτας,
if you keep all this ⓘ to put it into practice — that which I command you today, to ⓘ the Tetragrammaton, your God, and to ⓘ all the days — then you shall add for yourself yet three more cities beyond these three,

ולא ישפך דם נקי בקרב ארצך אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך נחלה והיה עליך דמים
καὶ οὐκ ἐκχυθήσεται αἷμα ἀναίτιον ἐν τῇ γῇ σου, ᾗ κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι ἐν κλήρῳ, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἐν σοὶ αἵματι ἔνοχος. –
so that no ⓘ in the midst of your land that the Tetragrammaton, your God, gives you as an ⓘ, and that there be not upon you ⓘ.

וכי יהיה איש שנא לרעהו וארב לו וקם עליו והכהו נפש ומת ונס אל אחת הערים האל
ἐὰν δὲ γένηται ἄνθρωπος μισῶν τὸν πλησίον καὶ ἐνεδρεύσῃ αὐτὸν καὶ ἐπαναστῇ ἐπ’ αὐτὸν καὶ πατάξῃ αὐτοῦ ψυχήν, καὶ ἀπεθάνῃ, καὶ φύγῃ εἰς μίαν τῶν πόλεων τούτων,
But when there is a man who ⓘ and ⓘ, and ⓘ and strikes him in the life, and he dies, and then flees to one of these cities,

ושלחו זקני עירו ולקחו אתו משם ונתנו אתו ביד גאל הדם ומת
καὶ ἀποστελοῦσιν ἡ γερουσία τῆς πόλεως αὐτοῦ καὶ λήμψονται αὐτὸν ἐκεῖθεν καὶ παραδώσουσιν αὐτὸν εἰς χεῖρας τῷ ἀγχιστεύοντι τοῦ αἵματος, καὶ ἀποθανεῖται·
then the ⓘ shall ⓘ and ⓘ from there and ⓘ to the avenger of blood, and he shall die.

לא תחוס עינך עליו ובערת דם הנקי מישראל וטוב לך
οὐ φείσεται ὁ ὀφθαλμός σου ἐπ’ αὐτῷ, καὶ καθαριεῖς τὸ αἷμα τὸ ἀναίτιον ἐξ Ισραηλ, καὶ εὖ σοι ἔσται.
ⓘ him: thus you shall ⓘ the innocent blood from ⓘ, and it shall be ⓘ with you.

לא תסיג גבול רעך אשר גבלו ראשנים בנחלתך אשר תנחל בארץ אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך לרשתה
Οὐ μετακινήσεις ὅρια τοῦ πλησίον σου, ἃ ἔστησαν οἱ πατέρες σου ἐν τῇ κληρονομίᾳ σου, ᾗ κατεκληρονομήθης ἐν τῇ γῇ, ᾗ κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι ἐν κλήρῳ.
ⓘ the ⓘ of your neighbor, which the ⓘ have set in your inheritance, which you shall receive in the land that the Tetragrammaton, your God, gives you to take possession of it.
15
לא יקום עד אחד באיש לכל עון ולכל חטאת בכל חטא אשר יחטא על פי שני עדים או על פי שלשה עדים יקום דבר
Οὐκ ἐμμενεῖ μάρτυς εἷς μαρτυρῆσαι κατὰ ἀνθρώπου κατὰ πᾶσαν ἀδικίαν καὶ κατὰ πᾶν ἁμάρτημα καὶ κατὰ πᾶσαν ἁμαρτίαν, ἣν ἂν ἁμάρτῃ· ἐπὶ στόματος δύο μαρτύρων καὶ ἐπὶ στόματος τριῶν μαρτύρων σταθήσεται πᾶν ῥῆμα.
ⓘ a single witness against a man for any ⓘ or ⓘ, for any ⓘ that may be committed: ⓘ of two witnesses or upon the mouth of three witnesses ⓘ.

כי יקום עד חמס באיש לענות בו סרה
ἐὰν δὲ καταστῇ μάρτυς ἄδικος κατὰ ἀνθρώπου καταλέγων αὐτοῦ ἀσέβειαν,
When an ⓘ rises up against a man to ⓘ,
17
ועמדו שני האנשים אשר להם הריב לפני יהוה לפני הכהנים והשפטים אשר יהיו בימים ההם
καὶ στήσονται οἱ δύο ἄνθρωποι, οἷς ἐστιν αὐτοῖς ἡ ἀντιλογία, ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ ἔναντι τῶν ἱερέων καὶ ἔναντι τῶν κριτῶν, οἳ ἐὰν ὦσιν ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις,
then the ⓘ who have the ⓘ shall stand ⓘ, before the ⓘ and the ⓘ who shall be in those days.
18
ודרשו השפטים היטב והנה עד שקר העד שקר ענה באחיו
καὶ ἐξετάσωσιν οἱ κριταὶ ἀκριβῶς, καὶ ἰδοὺ μάρτυς ἄδικος ἐμαρτύρησεν ἄδικα, ἀντέστη κατὰ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ,
And the judges shall ⓘ ⓘ, and behold: if the witness is a ⓘ who ⓘ against his ⓘ,
19
ועשיתם לו כאשר זמם לעשות לאחיו ובערת הרע מקרבך
καὶ ποιήσετε αὐτῷ ὃν τρόπον ἐπονηρεύσατο ποιῆσαι κατὰ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐξαρεῖς τὸν πονηρὸν ἐξ ὑμῶν αὐτῶν.
you shall ⓘ to do to his brother: thus you shall ⓘ from your midst.
20
והנשארים ישמעו ויראו ולא יספו לעשות עוד כדבר הרע הזה בקרבך
καὶ οἱ ἐπίλοιποι ἀκούσαντες φοβηθήσονται καὶ οὐ προσθήσουσιν ἔτι ποιῆσαι κατὰ τὸ ῥῆμα τὸ πονηρὸν τοῦτο ἐν ὑμῖν.
And ⓘ shall hear and ⓘ, and they shall not again do in your midst according to this ⓘ.
21
ולא תחוס עינך נפש בנפש עין בעין שן בשן יד ביד רגל ברגל
οὐ φείσεται ὁ ὀφθαλμός σου ἐπ’ αὐτῷ· ψυχὴν ἀντὶ ψυχῆς, ὀφθαλμὸν ἀντὶ ὀφθαλμοῦ, ὀδόντα ἀντὶ ὀδόντος, χεῖρα ἀντὶ χειρός, πόδα ἀντὶ ποδός.
