ועתה ישראל שמע אל החקים ואל המשפטים אשר אנכי מלמד אתכם לעשות למען תחיו ובאתם וירשתם את הארץ אשר יהוה אלהי אבתיכם נתן לכם
Καὶ νῦν, Ισραηλ, ἄκουε τῶν δικαιωμάτων καὶ τῶν κριμάτων, ὅσα ἐγὼ διδάσκω ὑμᾶς σήμερον ποιεῖν, ἵνα ζῆτε καὶ πολυπλασιασθῆτε καὶ εἰσελθόντες κληρονομήσητε τὴν γῆν, ἣν κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν δίδωσιν ὑμῖν.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And now, Israel, hear the statutes and the judgments that I teach you today to put into practice, that ⓘ you may live and be multiplied, and entering may inherit the land that the Tetragrammaton, God of your fathers, gives you.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And ⓘ, Israel, ⓘ the ⓘ and the ⓘ that I ⓘ you to put into practice, that ⓘ and may enter and take ⓘ of the land that the Tetragrammaton, God of your fathers, gives you.

לא תספו על הדבר אשר אנכי מצוה אתכם ולא תגרעו ממנו לשמר את מצות יהוה אלהיכם אשר אנכי מצוה אתכם
οὐ προσθήσετε πρὸς τὸ ῥῆμα, ὃ ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαι ὑμῖν, καὶ οὐκ ἀφελεῖτε ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ· φυλάσσεσθε τὰς ἐντολὰς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν, ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαι ὑμῖν σήμερον.
You shall not ⓘ to the word that I command you, and you shall not ⓘ from it, to ⓘ the commandments of the Tetragrammaton, your God, which I command you.

עיניכם הראת את אשר עשה יהוה בבעל פעור כי כל האיש אשר הלך אחרי בעל פעור השמידו יהוה אלהיך מקרבך
οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ὑμῶν ἑωράκασιν πάντα, ὅσα ἐποίησεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν τῷ Βεελφεγωρ, ὅτι πᾶς ἄνθρωπος, ὅστις ἐπορεύθη ὀπίσω Βεελφεγωρ, ἐξέτριψεν αὐτὸν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν ἐξ ὑμῶν·
Your ⓘ what the Tetragrammaton did at ⓘ: for every man who went ⓘ, the Tetragrammaton your God ⓘ him from your midst.

ואתם הדבקים ביהוה אלהיכם חיים כלכם היום
ὑμεῖς δὲ οἱ προσκείμενοι κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ὑμῶν ζῆτε πάντες ἐν τῇ σήμερον.
But you, who ⓘ to the Tetragrammaton your God, are ⓘ today.

ראה למדתי אתכם חקים ומשפטים כאשר צוני יהוה אלהי לעשות כן בקרב הארץ אשר אתם באים שמה לרשתה
ἴδετε δέδειχα ὑμῖν δικαιώματα καὶ κρίσεις, καθὰ ἐνετείλατό μοι κύριος, ποιῆσαι οὕτως ἐν τῇ γῇ, εἰς ἣν ὑμεῖς εἰσπορεύεσθε ἐκεῖ κληρονομεῖν αὐτήν·
ⓘ, I have taught you statutes and judgments, ⓘ, the Tetragrammaton my God, that you may do so in the midst of the land where you are entering to take ⓘ.

ושמרתם ועשיתם כי הוא חכמתכם ובינתכם לעיני העמים אשר ישמעון את כל החקים האלה ואמרו רק עם חכם ונבון הגוי הגדול הזה
καὶ φυλάξεσθε καὶ ποιήσετε, ὅτι αὕτη ἡ σοφία ὑμῶν καὶ ἡ σύνεσις ἐναντίον πάντων τῶν ἐθνῶν, ὅσοι ἐὰν ἀκούσωσιν πάντα τὰ δικαιώματα ταῦτα καὶ ἐροῦσιν Ἰδοὺ λαὸς σοφὸς καὶ ἐπιστήμων τὸ ἔθνος τὸ μέγα τοῦτο.
You shall therefore keep them and put them into practice, for ⓘ ⓘ, who, on hearing all these statutes, will say: «Truly a ⓘ people is this great ⓘ!».

כי מי גוי גדול אשר לו אלהים קרבים אליו כיהוה אלהינו בכל קראנו אליו
ὅτι ποῖον ἔθνος μέγα, ᾧ ἐστιν αὐτῷ θεὸς ἐγγίζων αὐτοῖς ὡς κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν ἐν πᾶσιν, οἷς ἐὰν αὐτὸν ἐπικαλεσώμεθα;
For what great nation has ⓘ like the Tetragrammaton our God, whenever we call upon him?

ומי גוי גדול אשר לו חקים ומשפטים צדיקם ככל התורה הזאת אשר אנכי נתן לפניכם היום
καὶ ποῖον ἔθνος μέγα, ᾧ ἐστιν αὐτῷ δικαιώματα καὶ κρίματα δίκαια κατὰ πάντα τὸν νόμον τοῦτον, ὃν ἐγὼ δίδωμι ἐνώπιον ὑμῶν σήμερον;
And what great nation has statutes and judgments so ⓘ as all this ⓘ that I set before you today?

רק השמר לך ושמר נפשך מאד פן תשכח את הדברים אשר ראו עיניך ופן יסורו מלבבך כל ימי חייך והודעתם לבניך ולבני בניך
πρόσεχε σεαυτῷ καὶ φύλαξον τὴν ψυχήν σου σφόδρα, μὴ ἐπιλάθῃ πάντας τοὺς λόγους, οὓς ἑωράκασιν οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου· καὶ μὴ ἀποστήτωσαν ἀπὸ τῆς καρδίας σου πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ζωῆς σου, καὶ συμβιβάσεις τοὺς υἱούς σου καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς τῶν υἱῶν σου
Only ⓘ, ⓘ the things that your eyes saw, and lest they ⓘ all the days of your life; and you shall make them known to your children and to your children's children.

יום אשר עמדת לפני יהוה אלהיך בחרב באמר יהוה אלי הקהל לי את העם ואשמעם את דברי אשר ילמדון ליראה אתי כל הימים אשר הם חיים על האדמה ואת בניהם ילמדון
ἡμέραν, ἣν ἔστητε ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν ἐν Χωρηβ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῆς ἐκκλησίας, ὅτε εἶπεν κύριος πρός με Ἐκκλησίασον πρός με τὸν λαόν, καὶ ἀκουσάτωσαν τὰ ῥήματά μου, ὅπως μάθωσιν φοβεῖσθαί με πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας, ἃς αὐτοὶ ζῶσιν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτῶν διδάξωσιν.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——the day on which you stood before the Tetragrammaton your God at Chōrēb, ⓘ on the day of the assembly, when the Tetragrammaton said to me: «Gather the people to me, and let them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days they live upon the earth, and may teach them to their children».—— Masoretic (MT) ——The day on which you stood before the Tetragrammaton your God at ⓘ, when the Tetragrammaton said to me: ⓘ, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to ⓘ all the days that they live upon the ⓘ, and they shall instruct their children.

ותקרבון ותעמדון תחת ההר וההר בער באש עד לב השמים חשך ענן וערפל
καὶ προσήλθετε καὶ ἔστητε ὑπὸ τὸ ὄρος, καὶ τὸ ὄρος ἐκαίετο πυρὶ ἕως τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, σκότος, γνόφος, θύελλα, φωνὴ μεγάλη.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And you drew near and stood at the foot of the mountain, and the mountain burned with fire up to the sky: darkness, gloom, ⓘ tempest, a great voice.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And you drew near and stood ⓘ, and the mountain ⓘ: ⓘ.

וידבר יהוה אליכם מתוך האש קול דברים אתם שמעים ותמונה אינכם ראים זולתי קול
καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐκ μέσου τοῦ πυρός· φωνὴν ῥημάτων ὑμεῖς ἠκούσατε καὶ ὁμοίωμα οὐκ εἴδετε, ἀλλ’ ἢ φωνήν·
And the Tetragrammaton spoke to you ⓘ: ⓘ you heard, but ⓘ you did not see, only a voice.

ויגד לכם את בריתו אשר צוה אתכם לעשות עשרת הדברים ויכתבם על שני לחות אבנים
καὶ ἀνήγγειλεν ὑμῖν τὴν διαθήκην αὐτοῦ, ἣν ἐνετείλατο ὑμῖν ποιεῖν, τὰ δέκα ῥήματα, καὶ ἔγραψεν αὐτὰ ἐπὶ δύο πλάκας λιθίνας.
And he ⓘ to you his ⓘ, which he commanded you to put into practice: the ⓘ; and he wrote them on ⓘ.

ואתי צוה יהוה בעת ההוא ללמד אתכם חקים ומשפטים לעשתכם אתם בארץ אשר אתם עברים שמה לרשתה
καὶ ἐμοὶ ἐνετείλατο κύριος ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ διδάξαι ὑμᾶς δικαιώματα καὶ κρίσεις ποιεῖν αὐτὰ ὑμᾶς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, εἰς ἣν ὑμεῖς εἰσπορεύεσθε ἐκεῖ κληρονομεῖν αὐτήν.
And to me the Tetragrammaton commanded at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that you may put them into practice in the land where you ⓘ to take possession of it.
15
ונשמרתם מאד לנפשתיכם כי לא ראיתם כל תמונה ביום דבר יהוה אליכם בחרב מתוך האש
καὶ φυλάξεσθε σφόδρα τὰς ψυχὰς ὑμῶν, ὅτι οὐκ εἴδετε ὁμοίωμα ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ, ᾗ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐν Χωρηβ ἐν τῷ ὄρει ἐκ μέσου τοῦ πυρός.
ⓘ concerning your ⓘ, for you saw no ⓘ on the day the Tetragrammaton spoke to you at Horèv from the midst of the fire;

פן תשחתון ועשיתם לכם פסל תמונת כל סמל תבנית זכר או נקבה
μὴ ἀνομήσητε καὶ ποιήσητε ὑμῖν ἑαυτοῖς γλυπτὸν ὁμοίωμα, πᾶσαν εἰκόνα, ὁμοίωμα ἀρσενικοῦ ἢ θηλυκοῦ,
lest you ⓘ and make yourselves a ⓘ, ⓘ, ⓘ,
17
תבנית כל בהמה אשר בארץ תבנית כל צפור כנף אשר תעוף בשמים
ὁμοίωμα παντὸς κτήνους τῶν ὄντων ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ὁμοίωμα παντὸς ὀρνέου πτερωτοῦ, ὃ πέταται ὑπὸ τὸν οὐρανόν,
the image of any ⓘ that is on the earth, the image of any ⓘ that flies in the heavens,
18
תבנית כל רמש באדמה תבנית כל דגה אשר במים מתחת לארץ
ὁμοίωμα παντὸς ἑρπετοῦ, ὃ ἕρπει ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ὁμοίωμα παντὸς ἰχθύος, ὅσα ἐστὶν ἐν τοῖς ὕδασιν ὑποκάτω τῆς γῆς.
the image of any ⓘ on the soil, the image of any ⓘ that is in the waters under the earth.

ופן תשא עיניך השמימה וראית את השמש ואת הירח ואת הכוכבים כל צבא השמים ונדחת והשתחוית להם ועבדתם אשר חלק יהוה אלהיך אתם לכל העמים תחת כל השמים
καὶ μὴ ἀναβλέψας εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ ἰδὼν τὸν ἥλιον καὶ τὴν σελήνην καὶ τοὺς ἀστέρας καὶ πάντα τὸν κόσμον τοῦ οὐρανοῦ πλανηθεὶς προσκυνήσῃς αὐτοῖς καὶ λατρεύσῃς αὐτοῖς, ἃ ἀπένειμεν κύριος ὁ θεός σου αὐτὰ πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν τοῖς ὑποκάτω τοῦ οὐρανοῦ.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——and lest, lifting up your eyes to heaven and seeing the sun, the moon, the stars, and all the ornament of heaven, ⓘ led astray you bow down to them and worship them — things that the Tetragrammaton your God has apportioned to all the peoples under heaven.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And lest you ⓘ toward the heavens and, seeing the sun and the moon and the stars, ⓘ, you be ⓘ and bow down before them and serve them, things that the Tetragrammaton your God has ⓘ to all the peoples under all the heavens.

ואתכם לקח יהוה ויוצא אתכם מכור הברזל ממצרים להיות לו לעם נחלה כיום הזה
ὑμᾶς δὲ ἔλαβεν ὁ θεὸς καὶ ἐξήγαγεν ὑμᾶς ἐκ τῆς καμίνου τῆς σιδηρᾶς ἐξ Αἰγύπτου εἶναι αὐτῷ λαὸν ἔγκληρον ὡς ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ.
But you the Tetragrammaton took and brought out from the ⓘ, from Egypt, to be for him a ⓘ, as on this day.

ויהוה התאנף בי על דבריכם וישבע לבלתי עברי את הירדן ולבלתי בא אל הארץ הטובה אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך נחלה
καὶ κύριος ἐθυμώθη μοι περὶ τῶν λεγομένων ὑφ’ ὑμῶν καὶ ὤμοσεν ἵνα μὴ διαβῶ τὸν Ιορδάνην τοῦτον καὶ ἵνα μὴ εἰσέλθω εἰς τὴν γῆν, ἣν κύριος ὁ θεὸς δίδωσίν σοι ἐν κλήρῳ·
And the Tetragrammaton was ⓘ against me ⓘ and swore that I would not cross the ⓘ and would not enter the good land that the Tetragrammaton your God gives you as an inheritance.

כי אנכי מת בארץ הזאת אינני עבר את הירדן ואתם עברים וירשתם את הארץ הטובה הזאת
ἐγὼ γὰρ ἀποθνῄσκω ἐν τῇ γῇ ταύτῃ καὶ οὐ διαβαίνω τὸν Ιορδάνην τοῦτον, ὑμεῖς δὲ διαβαίνετε καὶ κληρονομήσετε τὴν γῆν τὴν ἀγαθὴν ταύτην.
For I ⓘ in this land, I do not cross the Jordan; but you cross over and shall take possession of this good land.

השמרו לכם פן תשכחו את ברית יהוה אלהיכם אשר כרת עמכם ועשיתם לכם פסל תמונת כל אשר צוך יהוה אלהיך
προσέχετε ὑμεῖς, μὴ ἐπιλάθησθε τὴν διαθήκην κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν, ἣν διέθετο πρὸς ὑμᾶς, καὶ ποιήσητε ὑμῖν ἑαυτοῖς γλυπτὸν ὁμοίωμα πάντων, ὧν συνέταξεν κύριος ὁ θεός σου·
ⓘ lest you forget the ⓘ of the Tetragrammaton your God, which he ⓘ with you, and lest you make yourselves a carved idol, the image of anything that the Tetragrammaton your God has forbidden you.

כי יהוה אלהיך אש אכלה הוא אל קנא
ὅτι κύριος ὁ θεός σου πῦρ καταναλίσκον ἐστίν, θεὸς ζηλωτής.
For the Tetragrammaton your God is a ⓘ, a ⓘ.
25
כי תוליד בנים ובני בנים ונושנתם בארץ והשחתם ועשיתם פסל תמונת כל ועשיתם הרע בעיני יהוה אלהיך להכעיסו
Ἐὰν δὲ γεννήσῃς υἱοὺς καὶ υἱοὺς τῶν υἱῶν σου καὶ χρονίσητε ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἀνομήσητε καὶ ποιήσητε γλυπτὸν ὁμοίωμα παντὸς καὶ ποιήσητε τὰ πονηρὰ ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν παροργίσαι αὐτόν,
When you ⓘ and ⓘ in the land, and you corrupt yourselves and make a carved idol, the image of anything, and do ⓘ in the eyes of the Tetragrammaton your God ⓘ,

העידתי בכם היום את השמים ואת הארץ כי אבד תאבדון מהר מעל הארץ אשר אתם עברים את הירדן שמה לרשתה לא תאריכן ימים עליה כי השמד תשמדון
διαμαρτύρομαι ὑμῖν σήμερον τόν τε οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν ὅτι ἀπωλείᾳ ἀπολεῖσθε ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς, εἰς ἣν ὑμεῖς διαβαίνετε τὸν Ιορδάνην ἐκεῖ κληρονομῆσαι αὐτήν· οὐχὶ πολυχρονιεῖτε ἡμέρας ἐπ’ αὐτῆς, ἀλλ’ ἢ ἐκτριβῇ ἐκτριβήσεσθε.
I ⓘ today the heavens and the earth, that you ⓘ quickly from the land where you cross the Jordan to take possession of it; you shall not ⓘ upon it, but you will be ⓘ.
27
והפיץ יהוה אתכם בעמים ונשארתם מתי מספר בגוים אשר ינהג יהוה אתכם שמה
καὶ διασπερεῖ κύριος ὑμᾶς ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν καὶ καταλειφθήσεσθε ὀλίγοι ἀριθμῷ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, εἰς οὓς εἰσάξει κύριος ὑμᾶς ἐκεῖ.
And the Tetragrammaton will ⓘ you among the peoples, and you ⓘ among the nations where the Tetragrammaton will lead you.
28
ועבדתם שם אלהים מעשה ידי אדם עץ ואבן אשר לא יראון ולא ישמעון ולא יאכלון ולא יריחן
καὶ λατρεύσετε ἐκεῖ θεοῖς ἑτέροις, ἔργοις χειρῶν ἀνθρώπων, ξύλοις καὶ λίθοις, οἳ οὐκ ὄψονται οὐδὲ μὴ ἀκούσωσιν οὔτε μὴ φάγωσιν οὔτε μὴ ὀσφρανθῶσιν.
And there you will serve ⓘ, the work of human hands, ⓘ, which do not see, do not hear, do not ⓘ.

ובקשתם משם את יהוה אלהיך ומצאת כי תדרשנו בכל לבבך ובכל נפשך
καὶ ζητήσετε ἐκεῖ κύριον τὸν θεὸν ὑμῶν καὶ εὑρήσετε, ὅταν ἐκζητήσητε αὐτὸν ἐξ ὅλης τῆς καρδίας σου καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τῆς ψυχῆς σου ἐν τῇ θλίψει σου·
And from there you will ⓘ the Tetragrammaton your God, and you will find him if you ⓘ with all your ⓘ.
30
בצר לך ומצאוך כל הדברים האלה באחרית הימים ושבת עד יהוה אלהיך ושמעת בקלו
καὶ εὑρήσουσίν σε πάντες οἱ λόγοι οὗτοι ἐπ’ ἐσχάτῳ τῶν ἡμερῶν, καὶ ἐπιστραφήσῃ πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεόν σου καὶ εἰσακούσῃ τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ·
ⓘ, when all these things have overtaken you, ⓘ, ⓘ your God and will hear his voice.
31
כי אל רחום יהוה אלהיך לא ירפך ולא ישחיתך ולא ישכח את ברית אבתיך אשר נשבע להם
ὅτι θεὸς οἰκτίρμων κύριος ὁ θεός σου, οὐκ ἐγκαταλείψει σε οὐδὲ μὴ ἐκτρίψει σε, οὐκ ἐπιλήσεται τὴν διαθήκην τῶν πατέρων σου, ἣν ὤμοσεν αὐτοῖς.
For a ⓘ is the Tetragrammaton your God: he will not ⓘ nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he ⓘ.

כי שאל נא לימים ראשנים אשר היו לפניך למן היום אשר ברא אלהים אדם על הארץ ולמקצה השמים ועד קצה השמים הנהיה כדבר הגדול הזה או הנשמע כמהו
ἐπερωτήσατε ἡμέρας προτέρας τὰς γενομένας προτέρας σου ἀπὸ τῆς ἡμέρας, ἧς ἔκτισεν ὁ θεὸς ἄνθρωπον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, καὶ ἐπὶ τὸ ἄκρον τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἕως ἄκρου τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, εἰ γέγονεν κατὰ τὸ ῥῆμα τὸ μέγα τοῦτο, εἰ ἤκουσται τοιοῦτο·
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——Inquire of the days ⓘ that were before you, from the day on which God created man upon the earth, and from one end of heaven to the end of heaven: whether so great a thing has ever come to pass, whether anything like it has ever been heard;—— Masoretic (MT) ——For ⓘ that were before you, from the day on which God ⓘ upon the earth, and from one end of the heavens to the other end of the heavens: was there ever ⓘ, or was anything like it ever heard?

השמע עם קול אלהים מדבר מתוך האש כאשר שמעת אתה ויחי
εἰ ἀκήκοεν ἔθνος φωνὴν θεοῦ ζῶντος λαλοῦντος ἐκ μέσου τοῦ πυρός, ὃν τρόπον ἀκήκοας σὺ καὶ ἔζησας·
ⓘ speaking from the midst of the fire, as you have heard it, ⓘ?
34
או הנסה אלהים לבוא לקחת לו גוי מקרב גוי במסת באתת ובמופתים ובמלחמה וביד חזקה ובזרוע נטויה ובמוראים גדלים ככל אשר עשה לכם יהוה אלהיכם במצרים לעיניך
εἰ ἐπείρασεν ὁ θεὸς εἰσελθὼν λαβεῖν ἑαυτῷ ἔθνος ἐκ μέσου ἔθνους ἐν πειρασμῷ καὶ ἐν σημείοις καὶ ἐν τέρασιν καὶ ἐν πολέμῳ καὶ ἐν χειρὶ κραταιᾷ καὶ ἐν βραχίονι ὑψηλῷ καὶ ἐν ὁράμασιν μεγάλοις κατὰ πάντα, ὅσα ἐποίησεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ ἐνώπιόν σου βλέποντος·
Or ⓘ to come to take for himself a nation ⓘ with ⓘ, with ⓘ, with war and with ⓘ and with ⓘ, according to all that the Tetragrammaton your God did for you in Egypt, before your eyes?
35
אתה הראת לדעת כי יהוה הוא האלהים אין עוד מלבדו
ὥστε εἰδῆσαί σε ὅτι κύριος ὁ θεός σου, οὗτος θεός ἐστιν, καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ἔτι πλὴν αὐτοῦ.
To you it was ⓘ that the Tetragrammaton is God: ⓘ.

מן השמים השמיעך את קלו ליסרך ועל הארץ הראך את אשו הגדולה ודבריו שמעת מתוך האש
ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἀκουστὴ ἐγένετο ἡ φωνὴ αὐτοῦ παιδεῦσαί σε, καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἔδειξέν σοι τὸ πῦρ αὐτοῦ τὸ μέγα, καὶ τὰ ῥήματα αὐτοῦ ἤκουσας ἐκ μέσου τοῦ πυρός.
From the heavens he made you hear his voice to ⓘ, and on the earth he showed you his ⓘ, and his words you heard from the midst of the fire.

ותחת כי אהב את אבתיך ויבחר בזרעו אחריו ויוצאך בפניו בכחו הגדל ממצרים
διὰ τὸ ἀγαπῆσαι αὐτὸν τοὺς πατέρας σου καὶ ἐξελέξατο τὸ σπέρμα αὐτῶν μετ’ αὐτοὺς ὑμᾶς καὶ ἐξήγαγέν σε αὐτὸς ἐν τῇ ἰσχύι αὐτοῦ τῇ μεγάλῃ ἐξ Αἰγύπτου
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——because he loved your fathers and chose ⓘ their offspring after them, you, and brought you out himself in his great power from Aigyptos,—— Masoretic (MT) ——And ⓘ, ⓘ after him, and brought you out ⓘ, with his great power, from Egypt,

להוריש גוים גדלים ועצמים ממך מפניך להביאך לתת לך את ארצם נחלה כיום הזה
ἐξολεθρεῦσαι ἔθνη μεγάλα καὶ ἰσχυρότερά σου πρὸ προσώπου σου εἰσαγαγεῖν σε δοῦναί σοι τὴν γῆν αὐτῶν κληρονομεῖν, καθὼς ἔχεις σήμερον.
to ⓘ before you nations greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land as an ⓘ, as on this day.
39
וידעת היום והשבת אל לבבך כי יהוה הוא האלהים בשמים ממעל ועל הארץ מתחת אין עוד
καὶ γνώσῃ σήμερον καὶ ἐπιστραφήσῃ τῇ διανοίᾳ ὅτι κύριος ὁ θεός σου, οὗτος θεὸς ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ ἄνω καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς κάτω, καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ἔτι πλὴν αὐτοῦ·
ⓘ and ⓘ that the Tetragrammaton is God ⓘ: there is no other.
40
ושמרת את חקיו ואת מצותיו אשר אנכי מצוך היום אשר ייטב לך ולבניך אחריך ולמען תאריך ימים על האדמה אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך כל הימים
καὶ φυλάξῃ τὰ δικαιώματα αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ, ὅσας ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον, ἵνα εὖ σοι γένηται καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς σου μετὰ σέ, ὅπως μακροήμεροι γένησθε ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ἧς κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας.
And you shall keep his statutes and his commandments that I command you today, that ⓘ and with your children after you, and that you may ⓘ upon the land that the Tetragrammaton your God gives you forever.

אז יבדיל משה שלש ערים בעבר הירדן מזרחה שמש
Τότε ἀφώρισεν Μωϋσῆς τρεῖς πόλεις πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν ἡλίου
ⓘ Mosheh ⓘ three cities ⓘ, toward the ⓘ,

לנס שמה רוצח אשר ירצח את רעהו בבלי דעת והוא לא שנא לו מתמול שלשום ונס אל אחת מן הערים האל וחי
φυγεῖν ἐκεῖ τὸν φονευτήν, ὃς ἂν φονεύσῃ τὸν πλησίον οὐκ εἰδὼς καὶ οὗτος οὐ μισῶν αὐτὸν πρὸ τῆς ἐχθὲς καὶ τρίτης, καὶ καταφεύξεται εἰς μίαν τῶν πόλεων τούτων καὶ ζήσεται·
so that ⓘ who had killed his neighbor ⓘ and without hating him ⓘ; he shall flee to one of these cities and ⓘ:
43
את בצר במדבר בארץ המישר לראובני ואת ראמת בגלעד לגדי ואת גולן בבשן למנשי
τὴν Βοσορ ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ἐν τῇ γῇ τῇ πεδινῇ τῷ Ρουβην καὶ τὴν Ραμωθ ἐν Γαλααδ τῷ Γαδδι καὶ τὴν Γαυλων ἐν Βασαν τῷ Μανασση.
ⓘ in the wilderness, in the land of the plain, for the ⓘ; and ⓘ in Gilead for the ⓘ; and ⓘ in Bashan for the ⓘ.

וזאת התורה אשר שם משה לפני בני ישראל
Οὗτος ὁ νόμος, ὃν παρέθετο Μωϋσῆς ἐνώπιον υἱῶν Ισραηλ·
And this is the ⓘ that Mosheh set before the children of Israel.
45
אלה העדת והחקים והמשפטים אשר דבר משה אל בני ישראל בצאתם ממצרים
ταῦτα τὰ μαρτύρια καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα καὶ τὰ κρίματα, ὅσα ἐλάλησεν Μωϋσῆς τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ἐξελθόντων αὐτῶν ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου
These are the ⓘ, the statutes and the judgments that Mosheh proclaimed to the children of Israel ⓘ,

בעבר הירדן בגיא מול בית פעור בארץ סיחן מלך האמרי אשר יושב בחשבון אשר הכה משה ובני ישראל בצאתם ממצרים
ἐν τῷ πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου ἐν φάραγγι ἐγγὺς οἴκου Φογωρ ἐν γῇ Σηων βασιλέως τῶν Αμορραίων, ὃς κατῴκει ἐν Εσεβων, οὓς ἐπάταξεν Μωϋσῆς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἐξελθόντων αὐτῶν ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου
beyond the Jordan, in the ⓘ opposite ⓘ, in the land of ⓘ king of the ⓘ who dwelt in ⓘ, whom Mosheh and the children of Israel struck down at their going out from Egypt;
47
ויירשו את ארצו ואת ארץ עוג מלך הבשן שני מלכי האמרי אשר בעבר הירדן מזרח שמש
καὶ ἐκληρονόμησαν τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν γῆν Ωγ βασιλέως τῆς Βασαν, δύο βασιλέων τῶν Αμορραίων, οἳ ἦσαν πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου κατ’ ἀνατολὰς ἡλίου,
and they took possession of his land and the land of ⓘ king of Bashan, the two Amorite kings who were beyond the Jordan, toward the rising of the sun:
48
מערער אשר על שפת נחל ארנן ועד הר שיאן הוא חרמון
ἀπὸ Αροηρ, ἥ ἐστιν ἐπὶ τοῦ χείλους χειμάρρου Αρνων, καὶ ἐπὶ τοῦ ὄρους τοῦ Σηων, ὅ ἐστιν Αερμων,
from ⓘ, which is on the ⓘ, as far as Mount ⓘ,

וכל הערבה עבר הירדן מזרחה ועד ים הערבה תחת אשדת הפסגה
πᾶσαν τὴν Αραβα πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου κατ’ ἀνατολὰς ἡλίου ὑπὸ Ασηδωθ τὴν λαξευτήν.
and all the ⓘ beyond the Jordan, to the east, as far as the ⓘ, ⓘ.
