כי יהיה ריב בין אנשים ונגשו אל המשפט ושפטום והצדיקו את הצדיק והרשיעו את הרשע
Ἐὰν δὲ γένηται ἀντιλογία ἀνὰ μέσον ἀνθρώπων καὶ προσέλθωσιν εἰς κρίσιν καὶ κρίνωσιν καὶ δικαιώσωσιν τὸν δίκαιον καὶ καταγνῶσιν τοῦ ἀσεβοῦς,
When there is a disputeⓘ between men, and they come to judgmentⓘ, and they judge them, declaring the righteous righteous and the wicked wickedⓘ.

והיה אם בן הכות הרשע והפילו השפט והכהו לפניו כדי רשעתו במספר
καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν ἄξιος ᾖ πληγῶν ὁ ἀσεβῶν, καὶ καθιεῖς αὐτὸν ἔναντι τῶν κριτῶν καὶ μαστιγώσουσιν αὐτὸν ἐναντίον αὐτῶν κατὰ τὴν ἀσέβειαν αὐτοῦ ἀριθμῷ.
And it shall be that, if the wicked man has deserved the lashesⓘ, the judge shall make him lie down on the groundⓘ and he shall be beaten in his presence, according to the measure of his guilt, by numberⓘ.

ארבעים יכנו לא יסיף פן יסיף להכתו על אלה מכה רבה ונקלה אחיך לעיניך
τεσσαράκοντα μαστιγώσουσιν αὐτόν, οὐ προσθήσουσιν· ἐὰν δὲ προσθῶσιν μαστιγῶσαι αὐτὸν ὑπὲρ ταύτας τὰς πληγὰς πλείους, ἀσχημονήσει ὁ ἀδελφός σου ἐναντίον σου.
Fortyⓘ blows he shall give him, he shall not addⓘ: for, were he to add, striking him beyond these blows with an abundant beating, your brother would be degradedⓘ in your eyes.

לא תחסם שור בדישו
Οὐ φιμώσεις βοῦν ἀλοῶντα.
You shall not muzzle the oxⓘ.

כי ישבו אחים יחדו ומת אחד מהם ובן אין לו לא תהיה אשת המת החוצה לאיש זר יבמה יבא עליה ולקחה לו לאשה ויבמה
Ἐὰν δὲ κατοικῶσιν ἀδελφοὶ ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ καὶ ἀποθάνῃ εἷς ἐξ αὐτῶν, σπέρμα δὲ μὴ ᾖ αὐτῷ, οὐκ ἔσται ἡ γυνὴ τοῦ τεθνηκότος ἔξω ἀνδρὶ μὴ ἐγγίζοντι· ὁ ἀδελφὸς τοῦ ἀνδρὸς αὐτῆς εἰσελεύσεται πρὸς αὐτὴν καὶ λήμψεται αὐτὴν ἑαυτῷ γυναῖκα καὶ συνοικήσει αὐτῇ.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——If then brothers dwell together and one of them dies without having seed ⓘ, the wife of the deceased shall not go out, to a man not-near ⓘ: her husband's brother shall come in to her, take her to himself as wife and dwell with her.—— Masoretic (MT) ——When brothers dwell togetherⓘ, and one of them dies having no sonⓘ, the wife of the dead man shall not be given outside to a strangerⓘ: her brother-in-law / levirⓘ shall come to her, take her as wife and perform toward her the duty of the levirateⓘ.

והיה הבכור אשר תלד יקום על שם אחיו המת ולא ימחה שמו מישראל
καὶ ἔσται τὸ παιδίον, ὃ ἐὰν τέκῃ, κατασταθήσεται ἐκ τοῦ ὀνόματος τοῦ τετελευτηκότος, καὶ οὐκ ἐξαλειφθήσεται τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐξ Ισραηλ.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And it shall be: the child ⓘ that she bears shall be set to perpetuate the name of the dead man, and his name shall not be blotted out from Israèl.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And it shall come to pass that the firstbornⓘ whom she bears shall rise upon the name of the dead brotherⓘ, that his name be not blotted out from Israelⓘ.

ואם לא יחפץ האיש לקחת את יבמתו ועלתה יבמתו השערה אל הזקנים ואמרה מאין יבמי להקים לאחיו שם בישראל לא אבה יבמי
ἐὰν δὲ μὴ βούληται ὁ ἄνθρωπος λαβεῖν τὴν γυναῖκα τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἀναβήσεται ἡ γυνὴ ἐπὶ τὴν πύλην ἐπὶ τὴν γερουσίαν καὶ ἐρεῖ Οὐ θέλει ὁ ἀδελφὸς τοῦ ἀνδρός μου ἀναστῆσαι τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ ἐν Ισραηλ, οὐκ ἠθέλησεν ὁ ἀδελφὸς τοῦ ἀνδρός μου.
And if the man does not delightⓘ to take his sister-in-law, the sister-in-law shall go up to the gateⓘ, to the eldersⓘ, and shall say: «My brother-in-law refusesⓘ to raise up to his brother a name in Israel, he has not been willing to perform toward me the duty of the levirate».

וקראו לו זקני עירו ודברו אליו ועמד ואמר לא חפצתי לקחתה
καὶ καλέσουσιν αὐτὸν ἡ γερουσία τῆς πόλεως αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐροῦσιν αὐτῷ, καὶ στὰς εἴπῃ Οὐ βούλομαι λαβεῖν αὐτήν,
And the elders of his city shall call him and speak to him; and he, standing, shall say: I do not delight to take herⓘ.

ונגשה יבמתו אליו לעיני הזקנים וחלצה נעלו מעל רגלו וירקה בפניו וענתה ואמרה ככה יעשה לאיש אשר לא יבנה את בית אחיו
καὶ προσελθοῦσα ἡ γυνὴ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ ἔναντι τῆς γερουσίας καὶ ὑπολύσει τὸ ὑπόδημα αὐτοῦ τὸ ἓν ἀπὸ τοῦ ποδὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐμπτύσεται εἰς τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀποκριθεῖσα ἐρεῖ Οὕτως ποιήσουσιν τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ, ὃς οὐκ οἰκοδομήσει τὸν οἶκον τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ·
And his sister-in-law shall draw near to him, before the eyes of the elders, and shall draw off his sandalⓘ from his foot, spit in his faceⓘ, and shall answer and say: «Thus shall it be done to the manⓘ who will not build up his brother's houseⓘ».

ונקרא שמו בישראל בית חלוץ הנעל
καὶ κληθήσεται τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐν Ισραηλ Οἶκος τοῦ ὑπολυθέντος τὸ ὑπόδημα.
And his name shall be called in Israel: «The house of the unshodⓘ».

כי ינצו אנשים יחדו איש ואחיו וקרבה אשת האחד להציל את אישה מיד מכהו ושלחה ידה והחזיקה במבשיו
Ἐὰν δὲ μάχωνται ἄνθρωποι ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό, ἄνθρωπος μετὰ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ, καὶ προσέλθῃ γυνὴ ἑνὸς αὐτῶν ἐξελέσθαι τὸν ἄνδρα αὐτῆς ἐκ χειρὸς τοῦ τύπτοντος αὐτὸν καὶ ἐκτείνασα τὴν χεῖρα ἐπιλάβηται τῶν διδύμων αὐτοῦ,
When men striveⓘ together, a man and his brother, and the wife of the one draws near to deliver her husbandⓘ from the hand of the one who strikes him, and stretches out her hand and seizes him by the shameful partsⓘ.

וקצתה את כפה לא תחוס עינך
ἀποκόψεις τὴν χεῖρα αὐτῆς· οὐ φείσεται ὁ ὀφθαλμός σου ἐπ’ αὐτῇ.
You shall cut off her handⓘ: your eye shall have no pityⓘ.
13
לא יהיה לך בכיסך אבן ואבן גדולה וקטנה
Οὐκ ἔσται ἐν τῷ μαρσίππῳ σου στάθμιον καὶ στάθμιον, μέγα ἢ μικρόν·
You shall not have in your bagⓘ weight and weightⓘ, a large one and a small oneⓘ.

לא יהיה לך בביתך איפה ואיפה גדולה וקטנה
οὐκ ἔσται ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ σου μέτρον καὶ μέτρον, μέγα ἢ μικρόν·
You shall not have in your house ephah and ephahⓘ, a large one and a small one.

אבן שלמה וצדק יהיה לך איפה שלמה וצדק יהיה לך למען יאריכו ימיך על האדמה אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך
στάθμιον ἀληθινὸν καὶ δίκαιον ἔσται σοι, καὶ μέτρον ἀληθινὸν καὶ δίκαιον ἔσται σοι, ἵνα πολυήμερος γένῃ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ἧς κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι ἐν κλήρῳ·
A whole and just weightⓘ you shall have, a whole and just ephah you shall have, that your days may be prolongedⓘ upon the soilⓘ that the Tetragrammaton your Godⓘ gives you.

כי תועבת יהוה אלהיך כל עשה אלה כל עשה עול
ὅτι βδέλυγμα κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σου πᾶς ποιῶν ταῦτα, πᾶς ποιῶν ἄδικον.
For an abomination to the Tetragrammatonⓘ your God is whoever does these thingsⓘ, whoever commits injusticeⓘ.

זכור את אשר עשה לך עמלק בדרך בצאתכם ממצרים
Μνήσθητι ὅσα ἐποίησέν σοι Αμαληκ ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἐκπορευομένου σου ἐξ Αἰγύπτου,
Rememberⓘ what Amalèqⓘ did to you along the way, when you came out of Egyptⓘ.

אשר קרך בדרך ויזנב בך כל הנחשלים אחריך ואתה עיף ויגע ולא ירא אלהים
πῶς ἀντέστη σοι ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ καὶ ἔκοψέν σου τὴν οὐραγίαν, τοὺς κοπιῶντας ὀπίσω σου, σὺ δὲ ἐπείνας καὶ ἐκοπίας, καὶ οὐκ ἐφοβήθη τὸν θεόν·
He who met you on the wayⓘ and struck at the rearⓘ all the feeble onesⓘ behind you, while you were weary and faintⓘ; and he did not fear Godⓘ.

והיה בהניח יהוה אלהיך לך מכל איביך מסביב בארץ אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך נחלה לרשתה תמחה את זכר עמלק מתחת השמים לא תשכח
καὶ ἔσται ἡνίκα ἐὰν καταπαύσῃ σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἐχθρῶν σου τῶν κύκλῳ σου ἐν τῇ γῇ, ᾗ κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι ἐν κλήρῳ κατακληρονομῆσαι, ἐξαλείψεις τὸ ὄνομα Αμαληκ ἐκ τῆς ὑπὸ τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐπιλάθῃ.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And it shall be: when the Tetragrammaton your God has given you rest from all your enemies round about, in the land that the Tetragrammaton your God gives you as your lot to inherit it ⓘ, **you shall blot out the name of Amalèk ⓘ** from under heaven — and do not forget.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And it shall come to pass, when the Tetragrammatonⓘ your God gives you rest from all your enemiesⓘ, in the land that the Tetragrammaton your God gives you as an inheritance to possess itⓘ, you shall blot out the memory of Amalèqⓘ from under the heavensⓘ: do not forgetⓘ.
