כקדח אש המסים מים תבעה אש להודיע שמך לצריך מפניך גוים ירגזו
ὡς κηρὸς ἀπὸ πυρὸς τήκεται. καὶ κατακαύσει πῦρ τοὺς ὑπεναντίους, καὶ φανερὸν ἔσται τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου ἐν τοῖς ὑπεναντίοις· ἀπὸ προσώπου σου ἔθνη ταραχθήσονται.
Like fireⓘ that kindles brushwood, like fire that makes water boil, to make your Nameⓘ known to your adversaries: before you the nationsⓘ would tremble.

בעשותך נוראות לא נקוה ירדת מפניך הרים נזלו
ὅταν ποιῇς τὰ ἔνδοξα, τρόμος λήμψεται ἀπὸ σοῦ ὄρη.
When you did awesome deedsⓘ that we did not expect, you came down: before you the mountains flowed downⓘ.

ומעולם לא שמעו לא האזינו עין לא ראתה אלהים זולתך יעשה למחכה לו
ἀπὸ τοῦ αἰῶνος οὐκ ἠκούσαμεν οὐδὲ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ἡμῶν εἶδον θεὸν πλὴν σοῦ καὶ τὰ ἔργα σου, ἃ ποιήσεις τοῖς ὑπομένουσιν ἔλεον.
From of old no one has heard, no ear has perceived, eye has not seenⓘ a God besides you who acts for those who wait for himⓘ.

פגעת את שש ועשה צדק בדרכיך יזכרוך הן אתה קצפת ונחטא בהם עולם ונושע
συναντήσεται γὰρ τοῖς ποιοῦσιν τὸ δίκαιον, καὶ τῶν ὁδῶν σου μνησθήσονται. ἰδοὺ σὺ ὠργίσθης, καὶ ἡμεῖς ἡμάρτομεν· διὰ τοῦτο ἐπλανήθημεν.
You come to meet those who rejoice and practise righteousnessⓘ, who remember you in your ways. Behold, you were angryⓘ because we sinned: in them [we have been] from of old — and shall we be saved?

ונהי כטמא כלנו וכבגד עדים כל צדקתינו ונבל כעלה כלנו ועוננו כרוח ישאנו
καὶ ἐγενήθημεν ὡς ἀκάθαρτοι πάντες ἡμεῖς, ὡς ῥάκος ἀποκαθημένης πᾶσα ἡ δικαιοσύνη ἡμῶν· καὶ ἐξερρύημεν ὡς φύλλα διὰ τὰς ἀνομίας ἡμῶν, οὕτως ἄνεμος οἴσει ἡμᾶς.
We have all become like one who is uncleanⓘ, and all our righteousness like a filthy garmentⓘ; we all wither like a leaf, and our iniquities carry us away like the windⓘ.

ואין קורא בשמך מתעורר להחזיק בך כי הסתרת פניך ממנו ותמוגנו ביד עוננו
καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ ἐπικαλούμενος τὸ ὄνομά σου καὶ ὁ μνησθεὶς ἀντιλαβέσθαι σου· ὅτι ἀπέστρεψας τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἀφ’ ἡμῶν καὶ παρέδωκας ἡμᾶς διὰ τὰς ἁμαρτίας ἡμῶν. –
There is no one who calls upon your Nameⓘ, who stirs himself to take hold of you; for you have hidden your faceⓘ from us and have dissolved us in the hand of our iniquities.

ועתה יהוה אבינו אתה אנחנו החמר ואתה יצרנו ומעשה ידך כלנו
καὶ νῦν, κύριε, πατὴρ ἡμῶν σύ, ἡμεῖς δὲ πηλὸς ἔργον τῶν χειρῶν σου πάντες·
But now, the Tetragrammatonⓘ, you are our Fatherⓘ: we are the clayⓘ, and you the potterⓘ, the work of your hand are we all.

אל תקצף יהוה עד מאד ואל לעד תזכר עון הן הבט נא עמך כלנו
μὴ ὀργίζου ἡμῖν σφόδρα καὶ μὴ ἐν καιρῷ μνησθῇς ἁμαρτιῶν ἡμῶν. καὶ νῦν ἐπίβλεψον, ὅτι λαός σου πάντες ἡμεῖς.
Be not exceedingly angry, the Tetragrammaton, and do not remember iniquity foreverⓘ; behold, look: we are all your people.

ערי קדשך היו מדבר ציון מדבר היתה ירושלם שממה
πόλις τοῦ ἁγίου σου ἐγενήθη ἔρημος, Σιων ὡς ἔρημος ἐγενήθη, Ιερουσαλημ εἰς κατάραν.
Your holy cities have become a wildernessⓘ, Zionⓘ has become a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.

בית קדשנו ותפארתנו אשר הללוך אבתינו היה לשרפת אש וכל מחמדינו היה לחרבה
ὁ οἶκος, τὸ ἅγιον ἡμῶν, καὶ ἡ δόξα, ἣν ηὐλόγησαν οἱ πατέρες ἡμῶν, ἐγενήθη πυρίκαυστος, καὶ πάντα τὰ ἔνδοξα συνέπεσεν.
The house of our holiness and our glory, where they praised youⓘ, our fathers, has become a prey to fire, and everything we loved has been laid in ruins.

העל אלה תתאפק יהוה תחשה ותעננו עד מאד
καὶ ἐπὶ πᾶσι τούτοις ἀνέσχου, κύριε, καὶ ἐσιώπησας καὶ ἐταπείνωσας ἡμᾶς σφόδρα.
In the face of all this will you restrain yourselfⓘ, the Tetragrammaton? Will you keep silent and afflict us exceedingly?
