הוי שודד ואתה לא שדוד ובוגד ולא בגדו בו כהתמך שודד תושד כנלתך לבגד יבגדו בך
Οὐαὶ τοῖς ταλαιπωροῦσιν ὑμᾶς, ὑμᾶς δὲ οὐδεὶς ποιεῖ ταλαιπώρους, καὶ ὁ ἀθετῶν ὑμᾶς οὐκ ἀθετεῖ· ἁλώσονται οἱ ἀθετοῦντες καὶ παραδοθήσονται καὶ ὡς σὴς ἐπὶ ἱματίου οὕτως ἡττηθήσονται.
Woe to you who devastateⓘ while you yourself have not been devastated, who betrayⓘ while none has betrayed against you! When you have finished devastating you shall be devastated, when you have finished betraying they shall betray you.

יהוה חננו לך קוינו היה זרעם לבקרים אף ישועתנו בעת צרה
κύριε, ἐλέησον ἡμᾶς, ἐπὶ σοὶ γὰρ πεποίθαμεν· ἐγενήθη τὸ σπέρμα τῶν ἀπειθούντων εἰς ἀπώλειαν, ἡ δὲ σωτηρία ἡμῶν ἐν καιρῷ θλίψεως.
the Tetragrammatonⓘ, be gracious to usⓘ, in you we hope: be their arm every morningⓘ, yes, our salvationⓘ in the time of distress.

מקול המון נדדו עמים מרוממתך נפצו גוים
διὰ φωνὴν τοῦ φόβου σου ἐξέστησαν λαοὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ φόβου σου, καὶ διεσπάρησαν τὰ ἔθνη.
At the sound of the tumultⓘ the peoples flee; at your risingⓘ the nations (goyìm) are scattered.

ואסף שללכם אסף החסיל כמשק גבים שוקק בו
νῦν δὲ συναχθήσεται τὰ σκῦλα ὑμῶν μικροῦ καὶ μεγάλου· ὃν τρόπον ἐάν τις συναγάγῃ ἀκρίδας, οὕτως ἐμπαίξουσιν ὑμῖν.
And your spoilⓘ is gathered like the gathering of the caterpillarⓘ; men leap upon it as the swarming of locustsⓘ.

נשגב יהוה כי שכן מרום מלא ציון משפט וצדקה
ἅγιος ὁ θεὸς ὁ κατοικῶν ἐν ὑψηλοῖς, ἐνεπλήσθη Σιων κρίσεως καὶ δικαιοσύνης.
Exalted is the Tetragrammatonⓘ, for he dwells on high: he has filled Tziònⓘ with justice and righteousnessⓘ.

והיה אמונת עתיך חסן ישועת חכמת ודעת יראת יהוה היא אוצרו
ἐν νόμῳ παραδοθήσονται, ἐν θησαυροῖς ἡ σωτηρία ἡμῶν, ἐκεῖ σοφία καὶ ἐπιστήμη καὶ εὐσέβεια πρὸς τὸν κύριον· οὗτοί εἰσιν θησαυροὶ δικαιοσύνης.
And there shall be faithfulnessⓘ in your times, an abundance of salvations, wisdom and knowledge: the fear of the Tetragrammaton — this is his treasureⓘ.

הן אראלם צעקו חצה מלאכי שלום מר יבכיון
ἰδοὺ δὴ ἐν τῷ φόβῳ ὑμῶν αὐτοὶ φοβηθήσονται· οὓς ἐφοβεῖσθε, φοβηθήσονται ἀφ’ ὑμῶν· ἄγγελοι γὰρ ἀποσταλήσονται ἀξιοῦντες εἰρήνην πικρῶς κλαίοντες παρακαλοῦντες εἰρήνην.
Behold, their valiant onesⓘ cry out in the streets; the messengers of peaceⓘ weep bitterly.

נשמו מסלות שבת עבר ארח הפר ברית מאס ערים לא חשב אנוש
ἐρημωθήσονται γὰρ αἱ τούτων ὁδοί· πέπαυται ὁ φόβος τῶν ἐθνῶν, καὶ ἡ πρὸς τούτους διαθήκη αἴρεται, καὶ οὐ μὴ λογίσησθε αὐτοὺς ἀνθρώπους.
The highwaysⓘ are deserted, the wayfarer has ceased; he has broken the covenantⓘ, despised the cities, takes no account of man.

אבל אמללה ארץ החפיר לבנון קמל היה השרון כערבה ונער בשן וכרמל
ἐπένθησεν ἡ γῆ, ᾐσχύνθη ὁ Λίβανος, ἕλη ἐγένετο ὁ Σαρων· φανερὰ ἔσται ἡ Γαλιλαία καὶ ὁ Κάρμηλος.
The earth mourns, languishesⓘ; the Levanònⓘ is put to shame, it withers; Sharònⓘ is like the steppe; Bashàn and Karmèlⓘ shake off their leaves.

עתה אקום יאמר יהוה עתה ארומם עתה אנשא
νῦν ἀναστήσομαι, λέγει κύριος, νῦν δοξασθήσομαι, νῦν ὑψωθήσομαι·
«Now I will riseⓘ», says the Tetragrammatonⓘ, «now I will be lifted up, now I will be exalted:

תהרו חשש תלדו קש רוחכם אש תאכלכם
νῦν ὄψεσθε, νῦν αἰσθηθήσεσθε· ματαία ἔσται ἡ ἰσχὺς τοῦ πνεύματος ὑμῶν, πῦρ ὑμᾶς κατέδεται.
you conceive chaff, you give birth to stubbleⓘ; your own breathⓘ, a fire shall devour you.

והיו עמים משרפות שיד קוצים כסוחים באש יצתו
καὶ ἔσονται ἔθνη κατακεκαυμένα ὡς ἄκανθα ἐν ἀγρῷ ἐρριμμένη καὶ κατακεκαυμένη.
And the peoples shall be lime kilnsⓘ, thorns cut down, burned with fire».

שמעו רחוקים אשר עשיתי ודעו קרובים גברתי
ἀκούσονται οἱ πόρρωθεν ἃ ἐποίησα, γνώσονται οἱ ἐγγίζοντες τὴν ἰσχύν μου.
Hear, you who are far offⓘ, what I have done; acknowledge, you who are near, my mightⓘ!

פחדו בציון חטאים אחזה רעדה חנפים מי יגור לנו אש אוכלה מי יגור לנו מוקדי עולם
ἀπέστησαν οἱ ἐν Σιων ἄνομοι, λήμψεται τρόμος τοὺς ἀσεβεῖς· τίς ἀναγγελεῖ ὑμῖν ὅτι πῦρ καίεται; τίς ἀναγγελεῖ ὑμῖν τὸν τόπον τὸν αἰώνιον;
The sinnersⓘ in Tziòn are afraid, trembling has seized the godlessⓘ: «Who among us can dwell with devouring fireⓘ? Who among us can dwell with everlasting flamesⓘ?».

הלך צדקות ודבר מישרים מאס בבצע מעשקות נער כפיו מתמך בשחד אטם אזנו משמע דמים ועצם עיניו מראות ברע
πορευόμενος ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ, λαλῶν εὐθεῖαν ὁδόν, μισῶν ἀνομίαν καὶ ἀδικίαν καὶ τὰς χεῖρας ἀποσειόμενος ἀπὸ δώρων, βαρύνων τὰ ὦτα ἵνα μὴ ἀκούσῃ κρίσιν αἵματος, καμμύων τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς ἵνα μὴ ἴδῃ ἀδικίαν,
He who walks in righteousness and speaks uprightlyⓘ, who despises the gain of oppression, shakes his handsⓘ free of the bribe, stops his ear from hearing bloodthirsty sentencesⓘ and shuts his eyes from seeing evil:

הוא מרומים ישכן מצדות סלעים משגבו לחמו נתן מימיו נאמנים
οὗτος οἰκήσει ἐν ὑψηλῷ σπηλαίῳ πέτρας ἰσχυρᾶς· ἄρτος αὐτῷ δοθήσεται, καὶ τὸ ὕδωρ αὐτοῦ πιστόν.
he shall dwell on highⓘ; his refuge shall be the strongholds of the rocks, his bread shall be given to him, his waters shall be sureⓘ.
17
מלך ביפיו תחזינה עיניך תראינה ארץ מרחקים
βασιλέα μετὰ δόξης ὄψεσθε, καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ὑμῶν ὄψονται γῆν πόρρωθεν.
The King in his beautyⓘ your eyes shall see; they shall behold a land that stretches farⓘ.

לבך יהגה אימה איה ספר איה שקל איה ספר את המגדלים
ἡ ψυχὴ ὑμῶν μελετήσει φόβον· ποῦ εἰσιν οἱ γραμματικοί; ποῦ εἰσιν οἱ συμβουλεύοντες; ποῦ ἐστιν ὁ ἀριθμῶν τοὺς τρεφομένους
Your heart shall meditateⓘ: «Where is he who counted? Where is he who weighed the tribute? Where is he who counted the towersⓘ?».

את עם נועז לא תראה עם עמקי שפה משמוע נלעג לשון אין בינה
μικρὸν καὶ μέγαν λαόν; ᾧ οὐ συνεβουλεύσαντο οὐδὲ ᾔδει βαθύφωνον ὥστε μὴ ἀκοῦσαι λαὸς πεφαυλισμένος, καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν τῷ ἀκούοντι σύνεσις.
The arrogantⓘ people you shall see no more, that people of obscure lipⓘ, of barbarous speechⓘ, without discernment.

חזה ציון קרית מועדנו עיניך תראינה ירושלם נוה שאנן אהל בל יצען בל יסע יתדתיו לנצח וכל חבליו בל ינתקו
ἰδοὺ Σιων ἡ πόλις τὸ σωτήριον ἡμῶν· οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου ὄψονται Ιερουσαλημ, πόλις πλουσία, σκηναὶ αἳ οὐ μὴ σεισθῶσιν, οὐδὲ μὴ κινηθῶσιν οἱ πάσσαλοι τῆς σκηνῆς αὐτῆς εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα χρόνον, οὐδὲ τὰ σχοινία αὐτῆς οὐ μὴ διαρραγῶσιν.
Look upon Tziòn, city of our appointed feastsⓘ: your eyes shall see Yerushalàyim (Jerusalem), a tranquilⓘ habitation, a tent that shall not be movedⓘ, whose pegsⓘ shall never be pulled up, whose cords shall never be broken.

כי אם שם אדיר יהוה לנו מקום נהרים יארים רחבי ידים בל תלך בו אני שיט וצי אדיר לא יעברנו
ὅτι τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου μέγα ὑμῖν· τόπος ὑμῖν ἔσται, ποταμοὶ καὶ διώρυγες πλατεῖς καὶ εὐρύχωροι· οὐ πορεύσῃ ταύτην τὴν ὁδόν, οὐδὲ πορεύσεται πλοῖον ἐλαῦνον.
For there the Tetragrammatonⓘ majesticⓘ shall be for us a place of rivers, of broad channels, where no oared vesselⓘ shall pass, nor shall mighty galleyⓘ traverse it.

כי יהוה שפטנו יהוה מחקקנו יהוה מלכנו הוא יושיענו
ὁ γὰρ θεός μου μέγας ἐστίν, οὐ παρελεύσεταί με κύριος· κριτὴς ἡμῶν κύριος, ἄρχων ἡμῶν κύριος, βασιλεὺς ἡμῶν κύριος, οὗτος ἡμᾶς σώσει.
For the Tetragrammaton is our judge, the Tetragrammaton our lawgiver, the Tetragrammaton our kingⓘ: he will save usⓘ.

נטשו חבליך בל יחזקו כן תרנם בל פרשו נס אז חלק עד שלל מרבה פסחים בזזו בז
ἐρράγησαν τὰ σχοινία σου, ὅτι οὐκ ἐνίσχυσεν· ὁ ἱστός σου ἔκλινεν, οὐ χαλάσει τὰ ἱστία· οὐκ ἀρεῖ σημεῖον, ἕως οὗ παραδοθῇ εἰς προνομήν· τοίνυν πολλοὶ χωλοὶ προνομὴν ποιήσουσιν.
Your ropes hang slackⓘ, they cannot hold the mast firm, they cannot spread the sail; then is divided spoil in abundanceⓘ; even the lameⓘ seize plunder.

ובל יאמר שכן חליתי העם הישב בה נשא עון
καὶ οὐ μὴ εἴπῃ Κοπιῶ ὁ λαὸς ὁ ἐνοικῶν ἐν αὐτοῖς· ἀφέθη γὰρ αὐτοῖς ἡ ἁμαρτία.
And no inhabitant shall say, «I am sickⓘ»; to the people who dwell there iniquity is forgivenⓘ.
