משא גיא חזיון מה לך אפוא כי עלית כלך לגגות
Τὸ ῥῆμα τῆς φάραγγος Σιων. Τί ἐγένετό σοι νῦν, ὅτι ἀνέβητε πάντες εἰς δώματα
Oracle of the Valley of Vision Valley of Visionⓘ. What has happened to you now, that you have all gone up on the rooftops rooftopsⓘ?

תשאות מלאה עיר הומיה קריה עליזה חלליך לא חללי חרב ולא מתי מלחמה
μάταια; ἐνεπλήσθη ἡ πόλις βοώντων· οἱ τραυματίαι σου οὐ τραυματίαι μαχαίρας, οὐδὲ οἱ νεκροί σου νεκροὶ πολέμου.
City full of tumult, city in uproar, exultant town! Your slain slainⓘ are not slain with the sword, nor are your dead fallen in battle.

כל קציניך נדדו יחד מקשת אסרו כל נמצאיך אסרו יחדו מרחוק ברחו
πάντες οἱ ἄρχοντές σου πεφεύγασιν, καὶ οἱ ἁλόντες σκληρῶς δεδεμένοι εἰσίν, καὶ οἱ ἰσχύοντες ἐν σοὶ πόρρω πεφεύγασιν.
All your rulers have fled together, captured without a bow captured without a bowⓘ; all who were found among you were bound together, having fled far away.

על כן אמרתי שעו מני אמרר בבכי אל תאיצו לנחמני על שד בת עמי
διὰ τοῦτο εἶπα Ἄφετέ με πικρῶς κλαύσομαι, μὴ κατισχύσητε παρακαλεῖν με ἐπὶ τὸ σύντριμμα τῆς θυγατρὸς τοῦ γένους μου.
Therefore I said: Look away from me Look away from meⓘ, I will weep bitterly I will weep bitterlyⓘ; do not press me to comfort me for the ruin of the daughter of my people daughter of my peopleⓘ.

כי יום מהומה ומבוסה ומבוכה לאדני יהוה צבאות בגיא חזיון מקרקר קר ושוע אל ההר
ὅτι ἡμέρα ταραχῆς καὶ ἀπωλείας καὶ καταπατήματος καὶ πλάνησις παρὰ κυρίου σαβαωθ ἐν φάραγγι Σιων· πλανῶνται ἀπὸ μικροῦ ἕως μεγάλου, πλανῶνται ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη.
For it is a day of tumult, trampling and confusion tumult, trampling and confusionⓘ from the Lord, the Tetragrammaton of hosts Tetragrammaton of hostsⓘ, in the Valley of Vision: the walls are battered down the walls are battered downⓘ, and there is a cry toward the mountain.

ועילם נשא אשפה ברכב אדם פרשים וקיר ערה מגן
οἱ δὲ Αιλαμῖται ἔλαβον φαρέτρας, ἀναβάται ἄνθρωποι ἐφ’ ἵπποις καὶ συναγωγὴ παρατάξεως.
ʿElàm ʿElàmⓘ has taken up the quiver, with chariots of men and horsemen, and Qir Qirⓘ has uncovered the shield.

ויהי מבחר עמקיך מלאו רכב והפרשים שת שתו השערה
καὶ ἔσονται αἱ ἐκλεκταὶ φάραγγές σου πλησθήσονται ἁρμάτων, οἱ δὲ ἱππεῖς ἐμφράξουσι τὰς πύλας σου·
And it came to pass that your choicest valleys were filled with chariots, and the horsemen took their positions at the gates at the gatesⓘ.

ויגל את מסך יהודה ותבט ביום ההוא אל נשק בית היער
καὶ ἀνακαλύψουσιν τὰς πύλας Ιουδα καὶ ἐμβλέψονται τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ εἰς τοὺς ἐκλεκτοὺς οἴκους τῆς πόλεως
The veil veilⓘ of Judah was removed, and on that day you looked to the arsenal of the House of the Forest House of the Forestⓘ.

ואת בקיעי עיר דוד ראיתם כי רבו ותקבצו את מי הברכה התחתונה
καὶ ἀνακαλύψουσιν τὰ κρυπτὰ τῶν οἴκων τῆς ἄκρας Δαυιδ. καὶ εἴδοσαν ὅτι πλείους εἰσὶν καὶ ὅτι ἀπέστρεψαν τὸ ὕδωρ τῆς ἀρχαίας κολυμβήθρας εἰς τὴν πόλιν
And you saw that the breaches breachesⓘ of the City of David were many, and you collected the waters of the lower pool lower poolⓘ.

ואת בתי ירושלם ספרתם ותתצו הבתים לבצר החומה
καὶ ὅτι καθείλοσαν τοὺς οἴκους Ιερουσαλημ εἰς ὀχύρωμα τοῦ τείχους τῇ πόλει.
And you counted the houses of Jerusalem and tore down houses to fortify the walls,

ומקוה עשיתם בין החמתים למי הברכה הישנה ולא הבטתם אל עשיה ויצרה מרחוק לא ראיתם
καὶ ἐποιήσατε ἑαυτοῖς ὕδωρ ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν δύο τειχέων ἐσώτερον τῆς κολυμβήθρας τῆς ἀρχαίας καὶ οὐκ ἐνεβλέψατε εἰς τὸν ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς ποιήσαντα αὐτὴν καὶ τὸν κτίσαντα αὐτὴν οὐκ εἴδετε.
and you made a reservoir between the two walls for the waters of the old pool old poolⓘ; but you did not look to Him who made it, nor did you see Him who shaped it long ago Him who shaped itⓘ.

ויקרא אדני יהוה צבאות ביום ההוא לבכי ולמספד ולקרחה ולחגר שק
καὶ ἐκάλεσεν κύριος σαβαωθ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ κλαυθμὸν καὶ κοπετὸν καὶ ξύρησιν καὶ ζῶσιν σάκκων,
On that day the Lord, the Tetragrammaton of hosts, called for weeping and lamentation, for shaving the head shaving the headⓘ and for girding on sackcloth sackclothⓘ.

והנה ששון ושמחה הרג בקר ושחט צאן אכל בשר ושתות יין אכול ושתו כי מחר נמות
αὐτοὶ δὲ ἐποιήσαντο εὐφροσύνην καὶ ἀγαλλίαμα σφάζοντες μόσχους καὶ θύοντες πρόβατα ὥστε φαγεῖν κρέα καὶ πιεῖν οἶνον λέγοντες Φάγωμεν καὶ πίωμεν, αὔριον γὰρ ἀποθνῄσκομεν.
And behold, instead there was gladness and joy, slaughtering oxen and killing sheep, eating flesh and drinking wine: «Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!» Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we dieⓘ.

ונגלה באזני יהוה צבאות אם יכפר העון הזה לכם עד תמתון אמר אדני יהוה צבאות
καὶ ἀνακεκαλυμμένα ταῦτά ἐστιν ἐν τοῖς ὠσὶν κυρίου σαβαωθ, ὅτι οὐκ ἀφεθήσεται ὑμῖν αὕτη ἡ ἁμαρτία, ἕως ἂν ἀποθάνητε.
And it was revealed in my ears by the Tetragrammaton of hosts: «This iniquity shall not be atoned for shall not be atoned forⓘ until you die», says the Lord, the Tetragrammaton of hosts.

כה אמר אדני יהוה צבאות לך בא אל הסכן הזה על שבנא אשר על הבית
Τάδε λέγει κύριος σαβαωθ Πορεύου εἰς τὸ παστοφόριον πρὸς Σομναν τὸν ταμίαν καὶ εἰπὸν αὐτῷ
Thus says the Lord, the Tetragrammaton of hosts: Go to that steward stewardⓘ, to Shevnà who is in charge of the household, and say to him:

מה לך פה ומי לך פה כי חצבת לך פה קבר חצבי מרום קברו חקקי בסלע משכן לו
Τί σὺ ὧδε καὶ τί σοί ἐστιν ὧδε, ὅτι ἐλατόμησας σεαυτῷ ὧδε μνημεῖον καὶ ἐποίησας σεαυτῷ ἐν ὑψηλῷ μνημεῖον καὶ ἔγραψας σεαυτῷ ἐν πέτρᾳ σκηνήν;
What do you have here, and whom do you have here, that you have hewn a tomb for yourself here? You who hew your tomb on high, who carve a dwelling for yourself in the rock!

הנה יהוה מטלטלך טלטלה גבר ועטך עטה
ἰδοὺ δὴ κύριος σαβαωθ ἐκβαλεῖ καὶ ἐκτρίψει ἄνδρα καὶ ἀφελεῖ τὴν στολήν σου
Behold, the Tetragrammaton is about to hurl you away, with a mighty throw, O man with a mighty throwⓘ, and will seize you tightly;

צנוף יצנפך צנפה כדור אל ארץ רחבת ידים שמה תמות ושמה מרכבות כבודך קלון בית אדניך
καὶ τὸν στέφανόν σου τὸν ἔνδοξον καὶ ῥίψει σε εἰς χώραν μεγάλην καὶ ἀμέτρητον, καὶ ἐκεῖ ἀποθανῇ· καὶ θήσει τὸ ἅρμα σου τὸ καλὸν εἰς ἀτιμίαν καὶ τὸν οἶκον τοῦ ἄρχοντός σου εἰς καταπάτημα,
he will roll you up like a ball, hurl you like a sphere roll you up like a ball, hurl you like a sphereⓘ into a broad and spacious land. There you will die, there the chariots of your glory will come to an end, you disgrace of your lord's lord'sⓘ house.

והדפתיך ממצבך וממעמדך יהרסך
καὶ ἀφαιρεθήσῃ ἐκ τῆς οἰκονομίας σου καὶ ἐκ τῆς στάσεώς σου.
I will thrust you from your office officeⓘ, and from your station I will pull you down.
20
והיה ביום ההוא וקראתי לעבדי לאליקים בן חלקיהו
καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ καλέσω τὸν παῖδά μου Ελιακιμ τὸν τοῦ Χελκιου
On that day I will call my servant servantⓘ Elyaqìm son of Chilqiyàhu,

והלבשתיו כתנתך ואבנטך אחזקנו וממשלתך אתן בידו והיה לאב ליושב ירושלם ולבית יהודה
καὶ ἐνδύσω αὐτὸν τὴν στολήν σου καὶ τὸν στέφανόν σου δώσω αὐτῷ καὶ τὸ κράτος καὶ τὴν οἰκονομίαν σου δώσω εἰς τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔσται ὡς πατὴρ τοῖς ἐνοικοῦσιν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ τοῖς ἐνοικοῦσιν ἐν Ιουδα.
and I will clothe him with your robe and bind your sash on him, and will commit your authority to his hand; and he shall be like a father like a fatherⓘ to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah.
22
ונתתי מפתח בית דוד על שכמו ופתח ואין סגר וסגר ואין פתח
καὶ δώσω τὴν δόξαν Δαυιδ αὐτῷ, καὶ ἄρξει, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ ἀντιλέγων.
And I will place on his shoulder the key of the house of David the key of the house of Davidⓘ: he shall open and no one shall shut, he shall shut and no one shall open.
23
ותקעתיו יתד במקום נאמן והיה לכסא כבוד לבית אביו
καὶ στήσω αὐτὸν ἄρχοντα ἐν τόπῳ πιστῷ, καὶ ἔσται εἰς θρόνον δόξης τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ.
And I will fasten him like a peg pegⓘ in a sure place, and he will become a throne of glory for the house of his father.
24
ותלו עליו כל כבוד בית אביו הצאצאים והצפעות כל כלי הקטן מכלי האגנות ועד כל כלי הנבלים
καὶ ἔσται πεποιθὼς ἐπ’ αὐτὸν πᾶς ἔνδοξος ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ μικροῦ ἕως μεγάλου καὶ ἔσονται ἐπικρεμάμενοι αὐτῷ.
And they will hang on him all the weight of his father's house, the offspring and the shoots, every small vessel, from the bowls to every jar from the bowls to every jarⓘ.
25
ביום ההוא נאם יהוה צבאות תמוש היתד התקועה במקום נאמן ונגדעה ונפלה ונכרת המשא אשר עליה כי יהוה דבר
ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ – τάδε λέγει κύριος σαβαωθ – κινηθήσεται ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὁ ἐστηριγμένος ἐν τόπῳ πιστῷ καὶ πεσεῖται, καὶ ἀφαιρεθήσεται ἡ δόξα ἡ ἐπ’ αὐτόν, ὅτι κύριος ἐλάλησεν.
On that day — oracle of the Tetragrammaton of hosts — the peg fastened in a sure place will give way, it will be cut down and fall, and the burden hanging on it will fall: for the Tetragrammaton has spoken.
