בשנת מות המלך עזיהו ואראה את אדני ישב על כסא רם ונשא ושוליו מלאים את ההיכל
Καὶ ἐγένετο τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ, οὗ ἀπέθανεν Οζιας ὁ βασιλεύς, εἶδον τὸν κύριον καθήμενον ἐπὶ θρόνου ὑψηλοῦ καὶ ἐπηρμένου, καὶ πλήρης ὁ οἶκος τῆς δόξης αὐτοῦ.
In the year that King Uzziyàhu died, I saw the Lordⓘ seated on a throne high and exaltedⓘ, and the train of his robe filled the Hekhàlⓘ.

שרפים עמדים ממעל לו שש כנפים שש כנפים לאחד בשתים יכסה פניו ובשתים יכסה רגליו ובשתים יעופף
καὶ σεραφιν εἱστήκεισαν κύκλῳ αὐτοῦ, ἓξ πτέρυγες τῷ ἑνὶ καὶ ἓξ πτέρυγες τῷ ἑνί, καὶ ταῖς μὲν δυσὶν κατεκάλυπτον τὸ πρόσωπον καὶ ταῖς δυσὶν κατεκάλυπτον τοὺς πόδας καὶ ταῖς δυσὶν ἐπέταντο.
Serafìmⓘ were standing above himⓘ: six wings, six wings for eachⓘ; with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, with two he flew.

וקרא זה אל זה ואמר קדוש קדוש קדוש יהוה צבאות מלא כל הארץ כבודו
καὶ ἐκέκραγον ἕτερος πρὸς τὸν ἕτερον καὶ ἔλεγον Ἅγιος ἅγιος ἅγιος κύριος σαβαωθ, πλήρης πᾶσα ἡ γῆ τῆς δόξης αὐτοῦ.
And one cried to another: Qadòsh, qadòsh, qadòshⓘ — Holy, Holy, Holy — the Tetragrammaton Tzevaòtⓘ; the whole earth is full of his gloryⓘ.

וינעו אמות הספים מקול הקורא והבית ימלא עשן
καὶ ἐπήρθη τὸ ὑπέρθυρον ἀπὸ τῆς φωνῆς, ἧς ἐκέκραγον, καὶ ὁ οἶκος ἐπλήσθη καπνοῦ.
The doorpostsⓘ shook at the voice of the one who cried, and the House was filled with smokeⓘ.

ואמר אוי לי כי נדמיתי כי איש טמא שפתים אנכי ובתוך עם טמא שפתים אנכי יושב כי את המלך יהוה צבאות ראו עיני
καὶ εἶπα Ὦ τάλας ἐγώ, ὅτι κατανένυγμαι, ὅτι ἄνθρωπος ὢν καὶ ἀκάθαρτα χείλη ἔχων ἐν μέσῳ λαοῦ ἀκάθαρτα χείλη ἔχοντος ἐγὼ οἰκῶ καὶ τὸν βασιλέα κύριον σαβαωθ εἶδον τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς μου.
And I said: Woe to me, I am lost! For I am a man of unclean lipsⓘ, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; yet my eyes have seen the King, the Tetragrammaton Tzevaòt.

ויעף אלי אחד מן השרפים ובידו רצפה במלקחים לקח מעל המזבח
καὶ ἀπεστάλη πρός με ἓν τῶν σεραφιν, καὶ ἐν τῇ χειρὶ εἶχεν ἄνθρακα, ὃν τῇ λαβίδι ἔλαβεν ἀπὸ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου,
Then flewⓘ toward me one of the serafìm, holding in his hand a glowing coalⓘ, taken from the altarⓘ.

ויגע על פי ויאמר הנה נגע זה על שפתיך וסר עונך וחטאתך תכפר
καὶ ἥψατο τοῦ στόματός μου καὶ εἶπεν Ἰδοὺ ἥψατο τοῦτο τῶν χειλέων σου καὶ ἀφελεῖ τὰς ἀνομίας σου καὶ τὰς ἁμαρτίας σου περικαθαριεῖ.
He touched my mouth and said: Behold, this has touched your lips: your guilt is removedⓘ and your sinⓘ is atoned for.

ואשמע את קול אדני אמר את מי אשלח ומי ילך לנו ואמר הנני שלחני
καὶ ἤκουσα τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου λέγοντος Τίνα ἀποστείλω, καὶ τίς πορεύσεται πρὸς τὸν λαὸν τοῦτον; καὶ εἶπα Ἰδού εἰμι ἐγώ· ἀπόστειλόν με.
And I heard the voice of Adonàiⓘ saying: Whom shall I send, and who will go for usⓘ? And I said: Here I amⓘ, send me — shelachèniⓘ.

ויאמר לך ואמרת לעם הזה שמעו שמוע ואל תבינו וראו ראו ואל תדעו
καὶ εἶπεν Πορεύθητι καὶ εἰπὸν τῷ λαῷ τούτῳ Ἀκοῇ ἀκούσετε καὶ οὐ μὴ συνῆτε καὶ βλέποντες βλέψετε καὶ οὐ μὴ ἴδητε·
And he said: Go and say to this people: Hear, yes, but do not understand; look, yes, but do not perceiveⓘ.

השמן לב העם הזה ואזניו הכבד ועיניו השע פן יראה בעיניו ובאזניו ישמע ולבבו יבין ושב ורפא לו
ἐπαχύνθη γὰρ ἡ καρδία τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου, καὶ τοῖς ὠσὶν αὐτῶν βαρέως ἤκουσαν καὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτῶν ἐκάμμυσαν, μήποτε ἴδωσιν τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς καὶ τοῖς ὠσὶν ἀκούσωσιν καὶ τῇ καρδίᾳ συνῶσιν καὶ ἐπιστρέψωσιν καὶ ἰάσομαι αὐτούς.
Make insensibleⓘ the heart of this people, stop up their ears, blindⓘ their eyes, lest they see, or hear, or understand with their heart, or turnⓘ and be healed.

ואמר עד מתי אדני ויאמר עד אשר אם שאו ערים מאין יושב ובתים מאין אדם והאדמה תשאה שממה
καὶ εἶπα Ἕως πότε, κύριε; καὶ εἶπεν Ἕως ἂν ἐρημωθῶσιν πόλεις παρὰ τὸ μὴ κατοικεῖσθαι καὶ οἶκοι παρὰ τὸ μὴ εἶναι ἀνθρώπους καὶ ἡ γῆ καταλειφθήσεται ἔρημος.
And I said: How long, Adonàiⓘ? And he said: Until cities are devastatedⓘ, houses without people, and the land reduced to shemamàhⓘ.

ורחק יהוה את האדם ורבה העזובה בקרב הארץ
καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα μακρυνεῖ ὁ θεὸς τοὺς ἀνθρώπους, καὶ οἱ καταλειφθέντες πληθυνθήσονται ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς·
and the Tetragrammatonⓘ has removed people far away, and great is the abandonmentⓘ in the midst of the land.

ועוד בה עשריה ושבה והיתה לבער כאלה וכאלון אשר בשלכת מצבת בם זרע קדש מצבתה
καὶ ἔτι ἐπ’ αὐτῆς ἔστιν τὸ ἐπιδέκατον, καὶ πάλιν ἔσται εἰς προνομὴν ὡς τερέβινθος καὶ ὡς βάλανος ὅταν ἐκπέσῃ ἀπὸ τῆς θήκης αὐτῆς.
And though a tenthⓘ remains in it, it too will be burned again, like the terebinth and the oakⓘ which, when felled, preserve the living stump: holy seedⓘ is that stump.
