Do Not Fear, I Have Redeemed You

ועתה כה אמר יהוה בראך יעקב ויצרך ישראל אל תירא כי גאלתיך קראתי בשמך לי אתה
Καὶ νῦν οὕτως λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὁ ποιήσας σε, Ιακωβ, ὁ πλάσας σε, Ισραηλ Μὴ φοβοῦ, ὅτι ἐλυτρωσάμην σε· ἐκάλεσά σε τὸ ὄνομά σου, ἐμὸς εἶ σύ.
And now, thus says the Tetragrammaton, he who ⓘ, O Jacob, he who ⓘ, O Israel: ⓘ, for ⓘ; I have called you by your name, you are mine.

כי תעבר במים אתך אני ובנהרות לא ישטפוך כי תלך במו אש לא תכוה ולהבה לא תבער בך
καὶ ἐὰν διαβαίνῃς δι’ ὕδατος, μετὰ σοῦ εἰμι, καὶ ποταμοὶ οὐ συγκλύσουσίν σε· καὶ ἐὰν διέλθῃς διὰ πυρός, οὐ μὴ κατακαυθῇς, φλὸξ οὐ κατακαύσει σε.
When you pass through ⓘ, I will be with you, and the rivers shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through ⓘ you shall not be scorched, and the flame shall not burn you.

כי אני יהוה אלהיך קדוש ישראל מושיעך נתתי כפרך מצרים כוש וסבא תחתיך
ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεός σου ὁ ἅγιος Ισραηλ ὁ σῴζων σε· ἐποίησά σου ἄλλαγμα Αἴγυπτον καὶ Αἰθιοπίαν καὶ Σοήνην ὑπὲρ σοῦ.
For I am the Tetragrammaton, your God, ⓘ, your saviour; I have given as ⓘ Egypt, ⓘ in your place.

מאשר יקרת בעיני נכבדת ואני אהבתיך ואתן אדם תחתיך ולאמים תחת נפשך
ἀφ’ οὗ ἔντιμος ἐγένου ἐναντίον μου, ἐδοξάσθης, κἀγώ σε ἠγάπησα· καὶ δώσω ἀνθρώπους πολλοὺς ὑπὲρ σοῦ καὶ ἄρχοντας ὑπὲρ τῆς κεφαλῆς σου.
Because you are ⓘ in my eyes, you are honoured, and I have loved you; therefore I will give ⓘ and peoples in exchange for your life.

אל תירא כי אתך אני ממזרח אביא זרעך וממערב אקבצך
μὴ φοβοῦ, ὅτι μετὰ σοῦ εἰμι· ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν ἄξω τὸ σπέρμα σου καὶ ἀπὸ δυσμῶν συνάξω σε.
Do not fear, for I am with you; ⓘ I will bring your offspring and ⓘ I will gather you.

אמר לצפון תני ולתימן אל תכלאי הביאי בני מרחוק ובנותי מקצה הארץ
ἐρῶ τῷ βορρᾷ Ἄγε, καὶ τῷ λιβί Μὴ κώλυε· ἄγε τοὺς υἱούς μου ἀπὸ γῆς πόρρωθεν καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας μου ἀπ’ ἄκρων τῆς γῆς,
I will say to the ⓘ: Give them up! and to the south: Do not hold back! Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth,

כל הנקרא בשמי ולכבודי בראתיו יצרתיו אף עשיתיו
πάντας ὅσοι ἐπικέκληνται τῷ ὀνόματί μου. ἐν γὰρ τῇ δόξῃ μου κατεσκεύασα αὐτὸν καὶ ἔπλασα καὶ ἐποίησα αὐτόν·
everyone who is ⓘ, whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed and indeed made.

הוציא עם עור ועינים יש וחרשים ואזנים למו
καὶ ἐξήγαγον λαὸν τυφλόν, καὶ ὀφθαλμοί εἰσιν ὡσαύτως τυφλοί, καὶ κωφοὶ τὰ ὦτα ἔχοντες.
Bring out a ⓘ, who yet have eyes, and the deaf who yet have ears.

כל הגוים נקבצו יחדו ויאספו לאמים מי בהם יגיד זאת וראשנות ישמיענו יתנו עדיהם ויצדקו וישמעו ויאמרו אמת
πάντα τὰ ἔθνη συνήχθησαν ἅμα, καὶ συναχθήσονται ἄρχοντες ἐξ αὐτῶν· τίς ἀναγγελεῖ ταῦτα; ἢ τὰ ἐξ ἀρχῆς τίς ἀναγγελεῖ ὑμῖν; ἀγαγέτωσαν τοὺς μάρτυρας αὐτῶν καὶ δικαιωθήτωσαν καὶ εἰπάτωσαν ἀληθῆ.
All the ⓘ are gathered together and the peoples assemble: who among them can ⓘ and make us hear the former things? Let them bring their ⓘ that they may be justified, and let it be heard and said: It is true.

אתם עדי נאם יהוה ועבדי אשר בחרתי למען תדעו ותאמינו לי ותבינו כי אני הוא לפני לא נוצר אל ואחרי לא יהיה
γένεσθέ μοι μάρτυρες, κἀγὼ μάρτυς, λέγει κύριος ὁ θεός, καὶ ὁ παῖς, ὃν ἐξελεξάμην, ἵνα γνῶτε καὶ πιστεύσητε καὶ συνῆτε ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι, ἔμπροσθέν μου οὐκ ἐγένετο ἄλλος θεὸς καὶ μετ’ ἐμὲ οὐκ ἔσται·
You are my ⓘ, oracle of the Tetragrammaton, and ⓘ whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe in me and understand ⓘ: before me no god was formed and after me there shall be none.

אנכי אנכי יהוה ואין מבלעדי מושיע
ἐγὼ ὁ θεός, καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν πάρεξ ἐμοῦ σῴζων.
I, I am the Tetragrammaton, and ⓘ.
12
אנכי הגדתי והושעתי והשמעתי ואין בכם זר ואתם עדי נאם יהוה ואני אל
ἀνήγγειλα καὶ ἔσωσα, ὠνείδισα καὶ οὐκ ἦν ἐν ὑμῖν ἀλλότριος· ὑμεῖς ἐμοὶ μάρτυρες κἀγὼ μάρτυς, λέγει κύριος ὁ θεός.
I announced and I saved and I made it heard, and there was no ⓘ among you; and you are my witnesses, oracle of the Tetragrammaton, and I am God.

גם מיום אני הוא ואין מידי מציל אפעל ומי ישיבנה
ἔτι ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ ἐκ τῶν χειρῶν μου ἐξαιρούμενος· ποιήσω, καὶ τίς ἀποστρέψει αὐτό;
Even from of old I am he, and ⓘ: I act, and who can reverse it?

כה אמר יהוה גאלכם קדוש ישראל למענכם שלחתי בבלה והורדתי בריחים כלם וכשדים באניות רנתם
Οὕτως λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὁ λυτρούμενος ὑμᾶς ὁ ἅγιος Ισραηλ Ἕνεκεν ὑμῶν ἀποστελῶ εἰς Βαβυλῶνα καὶ ἐπεγερῶ πάντας φεύγοντας, καὶ Χαλδαῖοι ἐν πλοίοις δεθήσονται.
Thus says the Tetragrammaton, your ⓘ, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to ⓘ and I will bring down all their ⓘ, and the Chaldeans in their ships of joyful shouting.

אני יהוה קדושכם בורא ישראל מלככם
ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὁ ἅγιος ὑμῶν ὁ καταδείξας Ισραηλ βασιλέα ὑμῶν.
I am the Tetragrammaton, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your ⓘ.

כה אמר יהוה הנותן בים דרך ובמים עזים נתיבה
οὕτως λέγει κύριος ὁ διδοὺς ὁδὸν ἐν θαλάσσῃ καὶ ἐν ὕδατι ἰσχυρῷ τρίβον
Thus says the Tetragrammaton, ⓘ and a path in the mighty waters,

המוציא רכב וסוס חיל ועזוז יחדו ישכבו בל יקומו דעכו כפשתה כבו
ὁ ἐξαγαγὼν ἅρματα καὶ ἵππον καὶ ὄχλον ἰσχυρόν, ἀλλὰ ἐκοιμήθησαν καὶ οὐκ ἀναστήσονται, ἐσβέσθησαν ὡς λίνον ἐσβεσμένον
who brings out chariot and horse, army and might together: ⓘ, they are extinguished, spent ⓘ.

אל תזכרו ראשנות וקדמניות אל תתבננו
Μὴ μνημονεύετε τὰ πρῶτα καὶ τὰ ἀρχαῖα μὴ συλλογίζεσθε.
ⓘ and do not consider the things of old.
19
הנני עשה חדשה עתה תצמח הלוא תדעוה אף אשים במדבר דרך בישמון נהרות
ἰδοὺ ποιῶ καινὰ ἃ νῦν ἀνατελεῖ, καὶ γνώσεσθε αὐτά· καὶ ποιήσω ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ὁδὸν καὶ ἐν τῇ ἀνύδρῳ ποταμούς.
Behold, I am doing ⓘ: it is already springing forth, do you not perceive it? Yes, I will make ⓘ and rivers in the wasteland.

תכבדני חית השדה תנים ובנות יענה כי נתתי במדבר מים נהרות בישימן להשקות עמי בחירי
εὐλογήσει με τὰ θηρία τοῦ ἀγροῦ, σειρῆνες καὶ θυγατέρες στρουθῶν, ὅτι ἔδωκα ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ὕδωρ καὶ ποταμοὺς ἐν τῇ ἀνύδρῳ ποτίσαι τὸ γένος μου τὸ ἐκλεκτόν,
The wild beasts will honour me, the ⓘ and the ostriches, because I will have given water in the wilderness, rivers in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my ⓘ.

עם זו יצרתי לי תהלתי יספרו
λαόν μου, ὃν περιεποιησάμην τὰς ἀρετάς μου διηγεῖσθαι.
The people whom I have ⓘ will declare my ⓘ.
22
ולא אתי קראת יעקב כי יגעת בי ישראל
οὐ νῦν ἐκάλεσά σε, Ιακωβ, οὐδὲ κοπιᾶσαί σε ἐποίησα, Ισραηλ·
Yet you have not called upon me, O Jacob, ⓘ, O Israel.

לא הביאת לי שה עלתיך וזבחיך לא כבדתני לא העבדתיך במנחה ולא הוגעתיך בלבונה
οὐκ ἐμοὶ πρόβατα τῆς ὁλοκαρπώσεώς σου, οὐδὲ ἐν ταῖς θυσίαις σου ἐδόξασάς με, οὐδὲ ἔγκοπον ἐποίησά σε ἐν λιβάνῳ,
You have not brought me ⓘ and with your sacrifices you have not honoured me; I have not burdened you with offerings nor wearied you with ⓘ.
24
לא קנית לי בכסף קנה וחלב זבחיך לא הרויתני אך העבדתני בחטאותיך הוגעתני בעונתיך
οὐδὲ ἐκτήσω μοι ἀργυρίου θυμίαμα, οὐδὲ τὸ στέαρ τῶν θυσιῶν σου ἐπεθύμησα, ἀλλὰ ἐν ταῖς ἁμαρτίαις σου καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἀδικίαις σου προέστην σου.
You have not bought for me with money the ⓘ, nor have you satisfied me with the fat of your sacrifices; rather you have burdened me with your ⓘ, you have wearied me with your iniquities.
25
אנכי אנכי הוא מחה פשעיך למעני וחטאתיך לא אזכר
ἐγώ εἰμι ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ἐξαλείφων τὰς ἀνομίας σου καὶ οὐ μὴ μνησθήσομαι.
I, I am ⓘ your transgressions for my own sake, and I will remember your sins no more.

הזכירני נשפטה יחד ספר אתה למען תצדק
σὺ δὲ μνήσθητι καὶ κριθῶμεν· λέγε σὺ τὰς ἀνομίας σου πρῶτος, ἵνα δικαιωθῇς.
ⓘ; set forth your case, that you may be justified.
27
אביך הראשון חטא ומליציך פשעו בי
οἱ πατέρες ὑμῶν πρῶτοι καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες αὐτῶν ἠνόμησαν εἰς ἐμέ,
Your first ⓘ sinned, and your ⓘ rebelled against me.
28
ואחלל שרי קדש ואתנה לחרם יעקב וישראל לגדופים
καὶ ἐμίαναν οἱ ἄρχοντες τὰ ἅγιά μου, καὶ ἔδωκα ἀπολέσαι Ιακωβ καὶ Ισραηλ εἰς ὀνειδισμόν.
Therefore I have profaned the ⓘ, I have devoted Jacob to destruction and Israel to reproach.
