אשירה נא לידידי שירת דודי לכרמו כרם היה לידידי בקרן בן שמן
Ἄισω δὴ τῷ ἠγαπημένῳ ᾆσμα τοῦ ἀγαπητοῦ τῷ ἀμπελῶνί μου. ἀμπελὼν ἐγενήθη τῷ ἠγαπημένῳ ἐν κέρατι ἐν τόπῳ πίονι.
I will now sing for my ⓘ the song of my love for his ⓘ. A vineyard my beloved had on ⓘ.

ויעזקהו ויסקלהו ויטעהו שרק ויבן מגדל בתוכו וגם יקב חצב בו ויקו לעשות ענבים ויעש באשים
καὶ φραγμὸν περιέθηκα καὶ ἐχαράκωσα καὶ ἐφύτευσα ἄμπελον σωρηχ καὶ ᾠκοδόμησα πύργον ἐν μέσῳ αὐτοῦ καὶ προλήνιον ὤρυξα ἐν αὐτῷ· καὶ ἔμεινα τοῦ ποιῆσαι σταφυλήν, ἐποίησεν δὲ ἀκάνθας.
He dug it up and ⓘ and planted it with a ⓘ, built a ⓘ in its midst and also hewed out a ⓘ in it; and he waited for it to yield grapes, but it yielded ⓘ.

ועתה יושב ירושלם ואיש יהודה שפטו נא ביני ובין כרמי
καὶ νῦν, ἄνθρωπος τοῦ Ιουδα καὶ οἱ ἐνοικοῦντες ἐν Ιερουσαλημ, κρίνατε ἐν ἐμοὶ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τοῦ ἀμπελῶνός μου.
And now, inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, ⓘ between me and my vineyard.

מה לעשות עוד לכרמי ולא עשיתי בו מדוע קויתי לעשות ענבים ויעש באשים
τί ποιήσω ἔτι τῷ ἀμπελῶνί μου καὶ οὐκ ἐποίησα αὐτῷ; διότι ἔμεινα τοῦ ποιῆσαι σταφυλήν, ἐποίησεν δὲ ἀκάνθας.
What more was there to do for my vineyard that I have not done? Why did I wait for it to yield grapes, and it yielded wild berries?

ועתה אודיעה נא אתכם את אשר אני עשה לכרמי הסר משוכתו והיה לבער פרץ גדרו והיה למרמס
νῦν δὲ ἀναγγελῶ ὑμῖν τί ποιήσω τῷ ἀμπελῶνί μου· ἀφελῶ τὸν φραγμὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔσται εἰς διαρπαγήν, καὶ καθελῶ τὸν τοῖχον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔσται εἰς καταπάτημα,
And now I will tell you what I am about to do to my vineyard: I will remove its ⓘ, and it shall be given over to devastation; I will break down its wall, and it shall be trampled down;

ואשיתהו בתה לא יזמר ולא יעדר ועלה שמיר ושית ועל העבים אצוה מהמטיר עליו מטר
καὶ ἀνήσω τὸν ἀμπελῶνά μου καὶ οὐ μὴ τμηθῇ οὐδὲ μὴ σκαφῇ, καὶ ἀναβήσεται εἰς αὐτὸν ὡς εἰς χέρσον ἄκανθα· καὶ ταῖς νεφέλαις ἐντελοῦμαι τοῦ μὴ βρέξαι εἰς αὐτὸν ὑετόν.
I will make it a ⓘ: it shall not be pruned or hoed, and ⓘ shall come up; and to the clouds I shall ⓘ that they rain no rain upon it.

כי כרם יהוה צבאות בית ישראל ואיש יהודה נטע שעשועיו ויקו למשפט והנה משפח לצדקה והנה צעקה
ὁ γὰρ ἀμπελὼν κυρίου σαβαωθ οἶκος τοῦ Ισραηλ ἐστίν καὶ ἄνθρωπος τοῦ Ιουδα νεόφυτον ἠγαπημένον· ἔμεινα τοῦ ποιῆσαι κρίσιν, ἐποίησεν δὲ ἀνομίαν καὶ οὐ δικαιοσύνην ἀλλὰ κραυγήν.
For the vineyard of the ⓘ is the ⓘ, and the men of Judah are his beloved planting; he waited for ⓘ, and behold, bloodshed; he waited for ⓘ, and behold, a cry.

הוי מגיעי בית בבית שדה בשדה יקריבו עד אפס מקום והושבתם לבדכם בקרב הארץ
Οὐαὶ οἱ συνάπτοντες οἰκίαν πρὸς οἰκίαν καὶ ἀγρὸν πρὸς ἀγρὸν ἐγγίζοντες, ἵνα τοῦ πλησίον ἀφέλωνταί τι· μὴ οἰκήσετε μόνοι ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς;
ⓘ to those who join house to house, who add field to field, until there is no more room, and you are made to dwell alone in the midst of the land!

באזני יהוה צבאות אם לא בתים רבים לשמה יהיו גדלים וטובים מאין יושב
ἠκούσθη γὰρ εἰς τὰ ὦτα κυρίου σαβαωθ ταῦτα· ἐὰν γὰρ γένωνται οἰκίαι πολλαί, εἰς ἔρημον ἔσονται μεγάλαι καὶ καλαί, καὶ οὐκ ἔσονται οἱ ἐνοικοῦντες ἐν αὐταῖς.
In my ears the ⓘ has sworn: many houses shall become desolate, great and beautiful, without inhabitant;

כי עשרת צמדי כרם יעשו בת אחת וזרע חמר יעשה איפה
οὗ γὰρ ἐργῶνται δέκα ζεύγη βοῶν, ποιήσει κεράμιον ἕν, καὶ ὁ σπείρων ἀρτάβας ἓξ ποιήσει μέτρα τρία. –
for ⓘ shall yield only one ⓘ, and a ⓘ of seed shall yield only an ⓘ.

הוי משכימי בבקר שכר ירדפו מאחרי בנשף יין ידליקם
οὐαὶ οἱ ἐγειρόμενοι τὸ πρωῒ καὶ τὸ σικερα διώκοντες, οἱ μένοντες τὸ ὀψέ· ὁ γὰρ οἶνος αὐτοὺς συγκαύσει.
ⓘ to those who rise early in the morning to pursue ⓘ, and tarry late into the evening while wine inflames them;

והיה כנור ונבל תף וחליל ויין משתיהם ואת פעל יהוה לא יביטו ומעשה ידיו לא ראו
μετὰ γὰρ κιθάρας καὶ ψαλτηρίου καὶ τυμπάνων καὶ αὐλῶν τὸν οἶνον πίνουσιν, τὰ δὲ ἔργα κυρίου οὐκ ἐμβλέπουσιν καὶ τὰ ἔργα τῶν χειρῶν αὐτοῦ οὐ κατανοοῦσιν.
and lyre and harp, tambourine and flute and wine are at their feasts, but the ⓘ they do not regard, and the work of his hands they do not see.

לכן גלה עמי מבלי דעת וכבודו מתי רעב והמונו צחה צמא
τοίνυν αἰχμάλωτος ὁ λαός μου ἐγενήθη διὰ τὸ μὴ εἰδέναι αὐτοὺς τὸν κύριον, καὶ πλῆθος ἐγενήθη νεκρῶν διὰ λιμὸν καὶ δίψαν ὕδατος.
Therefore my people go into exile ⓘ; their nobles die of hunger, and their multitude is parched with thirst.

לכן הרחיבה שאול נפשה ופערה פיה לבלי חק וירד הדרה והמונה ושאונה ועלז בה
καὶ ἐπλάτυνεν ὁ ᾅδης τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ διήνοιξεν τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ τοῦ μὴ διαλιπεῖν, καὶ καταβήσονται οἱ ἔνδοξοι καὶ οἱ μεγάλοι καὶ οἱ πλούσιοι καὶ οἱ λοιμοὶ αὐτῆς.
Therefore ⓘ has enlarged its throat and opened its mouth without measure; and into it descend the splendour of Zion and her tumult and her din and he who exulted in her.
15
וישח אדם וישפל איש ועיני גבהים תשפלנה
καὶ ταπεινωθήσεται ἄνθρωπος, καὶ ἀτιμασθήσεται ἀνήρ, καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ οἱ μετέωροι ταπεινωθήσονται·
Mankind is bowed down and each person is humbled, and the eyes of the ⓘ are brought low;

ויגבה יהוה צבאות במשפט והאל הקדוש נקדש בצדקה
καὶ ὑψωθήσεται κύριος σαβαωθ ἐν κρίματι, καὶ ὁ θεὸς ὁ ἅγιος δοξασθήσεται ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ.
but the ⓘ is exalted in ⓘ, and the ⓘ shows himself holy in righteousness (tzedaqàh).
17
ורעו כבשים כדברם וחרבות מחים גרים יאכלו
καὶ βοσκηθήσονται οἱ διηρπασμένοι ὡς ταῦροι, καὶ τὰς ἐρήμους τῶν ἀπειλημμένων ἄρνες φάγονται. –
And lambs shall graze as in their pasture, and ⓘ shall be eaten by strangers.

הוי משכי העון בחבלי השוא וכעבות העגלה חטאה
οὐαὶ οἱ ἐπισπώμενοι τὰς ἁμαρτίας ὡς σχοινίῳ μακρῷ καὶ ὡς ζυγοῦ ἱμάντι δαμάλεως τὰς ἀνομίας,
ⓘ to those who drag iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as with cart ropes,

האמרים ימהר יחישה מעשהו למען נראה ותקרב ותבואה עצת קדוש ישראל ונדעה
οἱ λέγοντες Τὸ τάχος ἐγγισάτω ἃ ποιήσει, ἵνα ἴδωμεν, καὶ ἐλθάτω ἡ βουλὴ τοῦ ἁγίου Ισραηλ, ἵνα γνῶμεν. –
to those who say: «Let him hurry, let him hasten his work so that we may see it; let the plan of the ⓘ draw near and come, so that we may know it!».

הוי האמרים לרע טוב ולטוב רע שמים חשך לאור ואור לחשך שמים מר למתוק ומתוק למר
οὐαὶ οἱ λέγοντες τὸ πονηρὸν καλὸν καὶ τὸ καλὸν πονηρόν, οἱ τιθέντες τὸ σκότος φῶς καὶ τὸ φῶς σκότος, οἱ τιθέντες τὸ πικρὸν γλυκὺ καὶ τὸ γλυκὺ πικρόν. –
ⓘ to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

הוי חכמים בעיניהם ונגד פניהם נבנים
οὐαὶ οἱ συνετοὶ ἐν ἑαυτοῖς καὶ ἐνώπιον ἑαυτῶν ἐπιστήμονες. –
ⓘ to those who are wise in their own eyes and shrewd in their own sight!
22
הוי גבורים לשתות יין ואנשי חיל למסך שכר
οὐαὶ οἱ ἰσχύοντες ὑμῶν οἱ τὸν οἶνον πίνοντες καὶ οἱ δυνάσται οἱ κεραννύντες τὸ σικερα,
ⓘ to those who are heroes at drinking wine and valiant men at mixing strong drink,
23
מצדיקי רשע עקב שחד וצדקת צדיקים יסירו ממנו
οἱ δικαιοῦντες τὸν ἀσεβῆ ἕνεκεν δώρων καὶ τὸ δίκαιον τοῦ δικαίου αἴροντες.
who ⓘ for a bribe (shòchad), and deprive the innocent of his right!
24
לכן כאכל קש לשון אש וחשש להבה ירפה שרשם כמק יהיה ופרחם כאבק יעלה כי מאסו את תורת יהוה צבאות ואת אמרת קדוש ישראל נאצו
διὰ τοῦτο ὃν τρόπον καυθήσεται καλάμη ὑπὸ ἄνθρακος πυρὸς καὶ συγκαυθήσεται ὑπὸ φλογὸς ἀνειμένης, ἡ ῥίζα αὐτῶν ὡς χνοῦς ἔσται, καὶ τὸ ἄνθος αὐτῶν ὡς κονιορτὸς ἀναβήσεται· οὐ γὰρ ἠθέλησαν τὸν νόμον κυρίου σαβαωθ, ἀλλὰ τὸ λόγιον τοῦ ἁγίου Ισραηλ παρώξυναν.
Therefore, as the tongue of fire devours the stubble and dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their ⓘ shall become like rottenness and their blossom blow away like dust; because they have rejected the ⓘ and have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

על כן חרה אף יהוה בעמו ויט ידו עליו ויכהו וירגזו ההרים ותהי נבלתם כסוחה בקרב חוצות בכל זאת לא שב אפו ועוד ידו נטויה
καὶ ἐθυμώθη ὀργῇ κύριος σαβαωθ ἐπὶ τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐπέβαλεν τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς καὶ ἐπάταξεν αὐτούς, καὶ παρωξύνθη τὰ ὄρη, καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ θνησιμαῖα αὐτῶν ὡς κοπρία ἐν μέσῳ ὁδοῦ. καὶ ἐν πᾶσι τούτοις οὐκ ἀπεστράφη ὁ θυμός, ἀλλ’ ἔτι ἡ χεὶρ ὑψηλή.
Therefore the anger of the ⓘ is kindled against his people: he stretches out his hand against them and strikes them, and the mountains tremble, and their corpses are like ⓘ in the midst of the streets. With all this his anger has not turned away, and his ⓘ.

ונשא נס לגוים מרחוק ושרק לו מקצה הארץ והנה מהרה קל יבוא
τοιγαροῦν ἀρεῖ σύσσημον ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν τοῖς μακρὰν καὶ συριεῖ αὐτοῖς ἀπ’ ἄκρου τῆς γῆς, καὶ ἰδοὺ ταχὺ κούφως ἔρχονται·
He raises a ⓘ for distant nations and whistles for them from the ends of the earth; and behold, they come swiftly, lightly;
27
אין עיף ואין כושל בו לא ינום ולא יישן ולא נפתח אזור חלציו ולא נתק שרוך נעליו
οὐ πεινάσουσιν οὐδὲ κοπιάσουσιν οὐδὲ νυστάξουσιν οὐδὲ κοιμηθήσονται οὐδὲ λύσουσιν τὰς ζώνας αὐτῶν ἀπὸ τῆς ὀσφύος αὐτῶν, οὐδὲ μὴ ῥαγῶσιν οἱ ἱμάντες τῶν ὑποδημάτων αὐτῶν·
none of them is weary or stumbles, none slumbers or sleeps; the belt of their waist is not loosened, nor the strap of their sandals broken.

אשר חציו שנונים וכל קשתתיו דרכות פרסות סוסיו כצר נחשבו וגלגליו כסופה
ὧν τὰ βέλη ὀξεῖά ἐστιν καὶ τὰ τόξα αὐτῶν ἐντεταμένα, οἱ πόδες τῶν ἵππων αὐτῶν ὡς στερεὰ πέτρα ἐλογίσθησαν, οἱ τροχοὶ τῶν ἁρμάτων αὐτῶν ὡς καταιγίς·
Their arrows are sharpened and all their bows bent; the hooves of their horses are reckoned like ⓘ, and the wheels of their chariots like a ⓘ.

שאגה לו כלביא ושאג ישאג ככפירים וינהם ויאחז טרף ויפליט ואין מציל
ὁρμῶσιν ὡς λέοντες καὶ παρέστηκαν ὡς σκύμνος λέοντος· καὶ ἐπιλήμψεται καὶ βοήσει ὡς θηρίου καὶ ἐκβαλεῖ, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ ῥυόμενος αὐτούς.
Their roaring is like that of the ⓘ, they roar like young lions; they growl and seize the prey, carry it off, and none can rescue it.
30
וינהם עליו ביום ההוא כנהמת ים ונבט לארץ והנה חשך צר ואור חשך בעריפיה
καὶ βοήσει δι’ αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ὡς φωνὴ θαλάσσης κυμαινούσης· καὶ ἐμβλέψονται εἰς τὴν γῆν, καὶ ἰδοὺ σκότος σκληρὸν ἐν τῇ ἀπορίᾳ αὐτῶν.
In that day they shall roar over it like the roaring of the sea; and if one looks to the land, behold, darkness and distress, and the light is darkened ⓘ.
