אם במחתרת ימצא הגנב והכה ומת אין לו דמים
ἐὰν δὲ ἐν τῷ διορύγματι εὑρεθῇ ὁ κλέπτης καὶ πληγεὶς ἀποθάνῃ, οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτῷ φόνος·
If the ⓘ is caught in the ⓘ and is struck and dies, there is no ⓘ for him.

אם זרחה השמש עליו דמים לו שלם ישלם אם אין לו ונמכר בגנבתו
ἐὰν δὲ ἀνατείλῃ ὁ ἥλιος ἐπ’ αὐτῷ, ἔνοχός ἐστιν, ἀνταποθανεῖται. ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ὑπάρχῃ αὐτῷ, πραθήτω ἀντὶ τοῦ κλέμματος.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——But if the sun has already risen upon him, he is ⓘ: he ⓘ. And if he has nothing of his own, let him be ⓘ in exchange for the theft.—— Masoretic (MT) ——But if the sun has already risen upon him, there is blood, there is bloodguilt: let the thief ⓘ; if he has nothing with which to pay, let him be ⓘ for his theft.

אם המצא תמצא בידו הגנבה משור עד חמור עד שה חיים שנים ישלם
ἐὰν δὲ καταλημφθῇ, καὶ εὑρεθῇ ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ τὸ κλέμμα ἀπό τε ὄνου ἕως προβάτου ζῶντα, διπλᾶ αὐτὰ ἀποτείσει. –
If the ⓘ is found alive in his hand — from ox to donkey to sheep — he ⓘ.

כי יבער איש שדה או כרם ושלח את בעירה בעירו ובער בשדה אחר מיטב שדהו ומיטב כרמו ישלם
ἐὰν δὲ καταβοσκήσῃ τις ἀγρὸν ἢ ἀμπελῶνα καὶ ἀφῇ τὸ κτῆνος αὐτοῦ καταβοσκῆσαι ἀγρὸν ἕτερον, ἀποτείσει ἐκ τοῦ ἀγροῦ αὐτοῦ κατὰ τὸ γένημα αὐτοῦ· ἐὰν δὲ πάντα τὸν ἀγρὸν καταβοσκήσῃ, τὰ βέλτιστα τοῦ ἀγροῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰ βέλτιστα τοῦ ἀμπελῶνος αὐτοῦ ἀποτείσει. –
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——If someone grazes a field or a vineyard and lets his ⓘ loose to graze another's field, he ⓘ; ⓘ, he shall make restitution from the ⓘ of his field and the best of his vineyard.—— Masoretic (MT) ——If someone grazes a field or a vineyard and lets his ⓘ loose to graze in another's field, he shall make restitution with the ⓘ of his field and the best of his vineyard.

כי תצא אש ומצאה קצים ונאכל גדיש או הקמה או השדה שלם ישלם המבער את הבערה
ἐὰν δὲ ἐξελθὸν πῦρ εὕρῃ ἀκάνθας καὶ προσεμπρήσῃ ἅλωνα ἢ στάχυς ἢ πεδίον, ἀποτείσει ὁ τὸ πῦρ ἐκκαύσας. –
If a ⓘ breaks out and finds ⓘ, and consumes the ⓘ or the standing grain or the field, the one who kindled the blaze ⓘ.

כי יתן איש אל רעהו כסף או כלים לשמר וגנב מבית האיש אם ימצא הגנב ישלם שנים
ἐὰν δέ τις δῷ τῷ πλησίον ἀργύριον ἢ σκεύη φυλάξαι, καὶ κλαπῇ ἐκ τῆς οἰκίας τοῦ ἀνθρώπου, ἐὰν εὑρεθῇ ὁ κλέψας, ἀποτείσει διπλοῦν·
If someone gives his neighbor silver or ⓘ in ⓘ, and they are stolen from that man's house, if the thief is found he shall make double restitution;

אם לא ימצא הגנב ונקרב בעל הבית אל האלהים אם לא שלח ידו במלאכת רעהו
ἐὰν δὲ μὴ εὑρεθῇ ὁ κλέψας, προσελεύσεται ὁ κύριος τῆς οἰκίας ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ὀμεῖται ἦ μὴν μὴ αὐτὸς πεπονηρεῦσθαι ἐφ’ ὅλης τῆς παρακαταθήκης τοῦ πλησίον.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——But if the thief is not found, the master of the house shall come ⓘ and ⓘ that he himself did not act wrongfully against the whole deposit of his neighbor.—— Masoretic (MT) ——if the thief is not found, let the master of the house come ⓘ to swear that he has not laid his hand on his neighbor's property.

על כל דבר פשע על שור על חמור על שה על שלמה על כל אבדה אשר יאמר כי הוא זה עד האלהים יבא דבר שניהם אשר ירשיען אלהים ישלם שנים לרעהו
κατὰ πᾶν ῥητὸν ἀδίκημα περί τε μόσχου καὶ ὑποζυγίου καὶ προβάτου καὶ ἱματίου καὶ πάσης ἀπωλείας τῆς ἐγκαλουμένης, ὅ τι οὖν ἂν ᾖ, ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ ἐλεύσεται ἡ κρίσις ἀμφοτέρων, καὶ ὁ ἁλοὺς διὰ τοῦ θεοῦ ἀποτείσει διπλοῦν τῷ πλησίον. –
In every case of ⓘ — ox, donkey, sheep, garment, anything lost of which one says «this is it» — let the dispute of the two come ⓘ: the one whom the judges ⓘ shall make double restitution to his neighbor.

כי יתן איש אל רעהו חמור או שור או שה וכל בהמה לשמר ומת או נשבר או נשבה אין ראה
ἐὰν δέ τις δῷ τῷ πλησίον ὑποζύγιον ἢ μόσχον ἢ πρόβατον ἢ πᾶν κτῆνος φυλάξαι, καὶ συντριβῇ ἢ τελευτήσῃ ἢ αἰχμάλωτον γένηται, καὶ μηδεὶς γνῷ,
If someone gives his neighbor a donkey, ox, sheep, or any beast in safekeeping, and the beast dies or is injured or is ⓘ with no ⓘ,

שבעת יהוה תהיה בין שניהם אם לא שלח ידו במלאכת רעהו ולקח בעליו ולא ישלם
ὅρκος ἔσται τοῦ θεοῦ ἀνὰ μέσον ἀμφοτέρων ἦ μὴν μὴ αὐτὸν πεπονηρεῦσθαι καθ’ ὅλης τῆς παρακαταθήκης τοῦ πλησίον· καὶ οὕτως προσδέξεται ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ, καὶ οὐκ ἀποτείσει.
the ⓘ shall stand between the two, that the keeper has not laid his hand on his neighbor's property; let the owner accept it, and the keeper shall not make restitution.

ואם גנב יגנב מעמו ישלם לבעליו
ἐὰν δὲ κλαπῇ παρ’ αὐτοῦ, ἀποτείσει τῷ κυρίῳ.
But if the beast was indeed ⓘ from him, let him make restitution to the owner.
12
אם טרף יטרף יבאהו עד הטרפה לא ישלם
ἐὰν δὲ θηριάλωτον γένηται, ἄξει αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὴν θήραν καὶ οὐκ ἀποτείσει. –
If the beast was ⓘ, let him bring it as ⓘ: he shall not make restitution for what was torn.

וכי ישאל איש מעם רעהו ונשבר או מת בעליו אין עמו שלם ישלם
ἐὰν δὲ αἰτήσῃ τις παρὰ τοῦ πλησίον, καὶ συντριβῇ ἢ ἀποθάνῃ ἢ αἰχμάλωτον γένηται, ὁ δὲ κύριος μὴ ᾖ μετ’ αὐτοῦ, ἀποτείσει·
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——If someone borrows on ⓘ from his neighbor, and the beast ⓘ, and the owner is not with it, he shall make restitution.—— Masoretic (MT) ——If someone borrows on ⓘ from his neighbor, and the beast is injured or dies while the owner is not with it, let him make restitution, he shall make restitution;

אם בעליו עמו לא ישלם אם שכיר הוא בא בשכרו
ἐὰν δὲ ὁ κύριος ᾖ μετ’ αὐτοῦ, οὐκ ἀποτείσει· ἐὰν δὲ μισθωτὸς ᾖ, ἔσται αὐτῷ ἀντὶ τοῦ μισθοῦ αὐτοῦ.
but if the owner is with it, let him not make restitution; if it was on ⓘ, the loss is covered by ⓘ.

וכי יפתה איש בתולה אשר לא ארשה ושכב עמה מהר ימהרנה לו לאשה
Ἐὰν δὲ ἀπατήσῃ τις παρθένον ἀμνήστευτον καὶ κοιμηθῇ μετ’ αὐτῆς, φερνῇ φερνιεῖ αὐτὴν αὐτῷ γυναῖκα.
If someone ⓘ a ⓘ not betrothed and lies with her, paying he shall pay her the ⓘ and shall take her as wife.

אם מאן ימאן אביה לתתה לו כסף ישקל כמהר הבתולת
ἐὰν δὲ ἀνανεύων ἀνανεύσῃ καὶ μὴ βούληται ὁ πατὴρ αὐτῆς δοῦναι αὐτὴν αὐτῷ γυναῖκα, ἀργύριον ἀποτείσει τῷ πατρὶ καθ’ ὅσον ἐστὶν ἡ φερνὴ τῶν παρθένων. –
If her father ⓘ to give her to him, he shall weigh out ⓘ according to the mòhar of virgins.

מכשפה לא תחיה
φαρμακοὺς οὐ περιποιήσετε. –
The ⓘ you shall not let live.
18
כל שכב עם בהמה מות יומת
πᾶν κοιμώμενον μετὰ κτήνους, θανάτῳ ἀποκτενεῖτε αὐτούς. –
Whoever ⓘ shall be ⓘ.
19
זבח לאלהים יחרם בלתי ליהוה לבדו
ὁ θυσιάζων θεοῖς θανάτῳ ὀλεθρευθήσεται πλὴν κυρίῳ μόνῳ.
Whoever ⓘ shall be devoted to ⓘ, if not to the ⓘ alone.
20
וגר לא תונה ולא תלחצנו כי גרים הייתם בארץ מצרים
Καὶ προσήλυτον οὐ κακώσετε οὐδὲ μὴ θλίψητε αὐτόν· ἦτε γὰρ προσήλυτοι ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ. –
And the ⓘ you shall not mistreat nor oppress, for ⓘ you were in the land ⓘ.
21
כל אלמנה ויתום לא תענון
πᾶσαν χήραν καὶ ὀρφανὸν οὐ κακώσετε·
Any ⓘ and orphan you shall not ⓘ.
22
אם ענה תענה אתו כי אם צעק יצעק אלי שמע אשמע צעקתו
ἐὰν δὲ κακίᾳ κακώσητε αὐτοὺς καὶ κεκράξαντες καταβοήσωσι πρός με, ἀκοῇ εἰσακούσομαι τῆς φωνῆς αὐτῶν
If you indeed ⓘ, and he ⓘ to me, I will ⓘ his cry,
23
וחרה אפי והרגתי אתכם בחרב והיו נשיכם אלמנות ובניכם יתמים
καὶ ὀργισθήσομαι θυμῷ καὶ ἀποκτενῶ ὑμᾶς μαχαίρᾳ, καὶ ἔσονται αἱ γυναῖκες ὑμῶν χῆραι καὶ τὰ παιδία ὑμῶν ὀρφανά. –
and ⓘ and I will kill you with the ⓘ, and your wives shall be widows and your children orphans.
24
אם כסף תלוה את עמי את העני עמך לא תהיה לו כנשה לא תשימון עליו נשך
ἐὰν δὲ ἀργύριον ἐκδανείσῃς τῷ ἀδελφῷ τῷ πενιχρῷ παρὰ σοί, οὐκ ἔσῃ αὐτὸν κατεπείγων, οὐκ ἐπιθήσεις αὐτῷ τόκον.
If you ⓘ to my people, to the ⓘ among you, you shall not be to him like an ⓘ: you shall not impose ⓘ on him.
25
אם חבל תחבל שלמת רעך עד בא השמש תשיבנו לו
ἐὰν δὲ ἐνεχύρασμα ἐνεχυράσῃς τὸ ἱμάτιον τοῦ πλησίον, πρὸ δυσμῶν ἡλίου ἀποδώσεις αὐτῷ·
If you take in ⓘ the ⓘ of your neighbor, before the ⓘ you shall return it to him,
26
כי הוא כסותה כסותו לבדה הוא שמלתו לערו במה ישכב והיה כי יצעק אלי ושמעתי כי חנון אני
ἔστιν γὰρ τοῦτο περιβόλαιον αὐτοῦ, μόνον τοῦτο τὸ ἱμάτιον ἀσχημοσύνης αὐτοῦ· ἐν τίνι κοιμηθήσεται; ἐὰν οὖν καταβοήσῃ πρός με, εἰσακούσομαι αὐτοῦ· ἐλεήμων γάρ εἰμι. –
for it is his only ⓘ, it is the garment of his skin: in what shall he ⓘ? And if he cries out to me, I will ⓘ, for ⓘ am I.
27
אלהים לא תקלל ונשיא בעמך לא תאר
θεοὺς οὐ κακολογήσεις καὶ ἄρχοντας τοῦ λαοῦ σου οὐ κακῶς ἐρεῖς. –
ⓘ, and a ⓘ of your people you shall not curse.
28
מלאתך ודמעך לא תאחר בכור בניך תתן לי
ἀπαρχὰς ἅλωνος καὶ ληνοῦ σου οὐ καθυστερήσεις· τὰ πρωτότοκα τῶν υἱῶν σου δώσεις ἐμοί.
Your ⓘ you shall not delay to offer; the ⓘ you shall give to me.
29
כן תעשה לשרך לצאנך שבעת ימים יהיה עם אמו ביום השמיני תתנו לי
οὕτως ποιήσεις τὸν μόσχον σου καὶ τὸ πρόβατόν σου καὶ τὸ ὑποζύγιόν σου· ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας ἔσται ὑπὸ τὴν μητέρα, τῇ δὲ ὀγδόῃ ἡμέρᾳ ἀποδώσεις μοι αὐτό. –
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——So you shall do with your ⓘ and with your sheep and ⓘ: seven days it shall stay under its mother, but ⓘ you shall give it to me.—— Masoretic (MT) ——So you shall do with your ox and with your ⓘ: seven days it shall stay with its mother, on the eighth ⓘ you shall give it to me.
30
ואנשי קדש תהיון לי ובשר בשדה טרפה לא תאכלו לכלב תשלכון אתו
καὶ ἄνδρες ἅγιοι ἔσεσθέ μοι. καὶ κρέας θηριάλωτον οὐκ ἔδεσθε, τῷ κυνὶ ἀπορρίψατε αὐτό.
And ⓘ you shall be to me: ⓘ flesh you shall not eat, you shall throw it to the dog."}
