ויאמר יהוה אל משה בא אל פרעה ודברת אליו כה אמר יהוה אלהי העברים שלח את עמי ויעבדני
Εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Εἴσελθε πρὸς Φαραω καὶ ἐρεῖς αὐτῷ Τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν Εβραίων Ἐξαπόστειλον τὸν λαόν μου, ἵνα μοι λατρεύσωσιν·
The ⓘ said to Moshèh: «Go to Par'òh and say to him: Thus has the Tetragrammaton, ⓘ of the ⓘ, said: ⓘ my people, ⓘ.

כי אם מאן אתה לשלח ועודך מחזיק בם
εἰ μὲν οὖν μὴ βούλει ἐξαποστεῖλαι τὸν λαόν μου, ἀλλ’ ἔτι ἐγκρατεῖς αὐτοῦ,
For if you ⓘ to let them go, and still ⓘ,

הנה יד יהוה הויה במקנך אשר בשדה בסוסים בחמרים בגמלים בבקר ובצאן דבר כבד מאד
ἰδοὺ χεὶρ κυρίου ἐπέσται ἐν τοῖς κτήνεσίν σου τοῖς ἐν τοῖς πεδίοις, ἔν τε τοῖς ἵπποις καὶ ἐν τοῖς ὑποζυγίοις καὶ ταῖς καμήλοις καὶ βουσὶν καὶ προβάτοις, θάνατος μέγας σφόδρα.
behold: the ⓘ will be upon your ⓘ that is in the field — on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the oxen and on the sheep — ⓘ.

והפלה יהוה בין מקנה ישראל ובין מקנה מצרים ולא ימות מכל לבני ישראל דבר
καὶ παραδοξάσω ἐγὼ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν Αἰγυπτίων καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ· οὐ τελευτήσει ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν τοῦ Ισραηλ υἱῶν ῥητόν.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And I will ⓘ ⓘ the distinction between the livestock of the Egyptians and the livestock of the children of Israel: of all that belongs to the children of Israel ⓘ will perish.—— Masoretic (MT) ——The Tetragrammaton ⓘ between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt: ⓘ of all that belongs to the children of Israel will die».

וישם יהוה מועד לאמר מחר יעשה יהוה הדבר הזה בארץ
καὶ ἔδωκεν ὁ θεὸς ὅρον λέγων Ἐν τῇ αὔριον ποιήσει κύριος τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς.
The ⓘ fixed a ⓘ saying: «Tomorrow the Tetragrammaton will do this thing in the land».

ויעש יהוה את הדבר הזה ממחרת וימת כל מקנה מצרים וממקנה בני ישראל לא מת אחד
καὶ ἐποίησεν κύριος τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο τῇ ἐπαύριον, καὶ ἐτελεύτησεν πάντα τὰ κτήνη τῶν Αἰγυπτίων, ἀπὸ δὲ τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ οὐκ ἐτελεύτησεν οὐδέν.
The Tetragrammaton did this thing on the next day: ⓘ died, but of the livestock of the children of Israel ⓘ died.

וישלח פרעה והנה לא מת ממקנה ישראל עד אחד ויכבד לב פרעה ולא שלח את העם
ἰδὼν δὲ Φαραω ὅτι οὐκ ἐτελεύτησεν ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ οὐδέν, ἐβαρύνθη ἡ καρδία Φαραω, καὶ οὐκ ἐξαπέστειλεν τὸν λαόν.
Par'òh sent to see — and behold, of the livestock of Israel ⓘ had died. But ⓘ and he did not let the people go.

ויאמר יהוה אל משה ואל אהרן קחו לכם מלא חפניכם פיח כבשן וזרקו משה השמימה לעיני פרעה
Εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων λέγων Λάβετε ὑμεῖς πλήρεις τὰς χεῖρας αἰθάλης καμιναίας, καὶ πασάτω Μωϋσῆς εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν ἐναντίον Φαραω καὶ ἐναντίον τῶν θεραπόντων αὐτοῦ,
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——Then the Tetragrammaton said to Moysès and to Aaròn: «Take by the handful ⓘ, and let Moysès scatter it ⓘ before the Faraòn ⓘ.—— Masoretic (MT) ——The Tetragrammaton said to Moshèh and to Aharòn: «Take by the full ⓘ ⓘ, and let Moshèh scatter it ⓘ before the eyes of Par'òh.

והיה לאבק על כל ארץ מצרים והיה על האדם ועל הבהמה לשחין פרח אבעבעת בכל ארץ מצרים
καὶ γενηθήτω κονιορτὸς ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν Αἰγύπτου, καὶ ἔσται ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀνθρώπους καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ τετράποδα ἕλκη, φλυκτίδες ἀναζέουσαι, ἔν τε τοῖς ἀνθρώποις καὶ ἐν τοῖς τετράποσιν καὶ ἐν πάσῃ γῇ Αἰγύπτου.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And let it become ⓘ over all the land of Egypt, and there will be upon men and upon the quadrupeds ⓘ, ⓘ».—— Masoretic (MT) ——It will become ⓘ over all the land of Egypt, and it will be upon men and upon the animals ⓘ in all the land of Egypt».

ויקחו את פיח הכבשן ויעמדו לפני פרעה ויזרק אתו משה השמימה ויהי שחין אבעבעת פרח באדם ובבהמה
καὶ ἔλαβεν τὴν αἰθάλην τῆς καμιναίας ἐναντίον Φαραω καὶ ἔπασεν αὐτὴν Μωϋσῆς εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν, καὶ ἐγένετο ἕλκη, φλυκτίδες ἀναζέουσαι, ἐν τοῖς ἀνθρώποις καὶ ἐν τοῖς τετράποσιν.
They took the soot of the furnace and stood before Par'òh; Moshèh scattered it toward the heavens, and it became an ulcer of blossoming blisters upon men and upon the animals.

ולא יכלו החרטמים לעמד לפני משה מפני השחין כי היה השחין בחרטמם ובכל מצרים
καὶ οὐκ ἠδύναντο οἱ φαρμακοὶ στῆναι ἐναντίον Μωυσῆ διὰ τὰ ἕλκη· ἐγένετο γὰρ τὰ ἕλκη ἐν τοῖς φαρμακοῖς καὶ ἐν πάσῃ γῇ Αἰγύπτου.
The ⓘ could not ⓘ before Moshèh because of the ulcers, for the ulcers were ⓘ and upon all Egypt.

ויחזק יהוה את לב פרעה ולא שמע אלהם כאשר דבר יהוה אל משה
ἐσκλήρυνεν δὲ κύριος τὴν καρδίαν Φαραω, καὶ οὐκ εἰσήκουσεν αὐτῶν, καθὰ συνέταξεν κύριος.
The Tetragrammaton ⓘ the heart of Par'òh, and he did not listen to them, as the Tetragrammaton had spoken to Moshèh.

ויאמר יהוה אל משה השכם בבקר והתיצב לפני פרעה ואמרת אליו כה אמר יהוה אלהי העברים שלח את עמי ויעבדני
Εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Ὄρθρισον τὸ πρωῒ καὶ στῆθι ἐναντίον Φαραω καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτόν Τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν Εβραίων Ἐξαπόστειλον τὸν λαόν μου, ἵνα λατρεύσωσίν μοι.
The Tetragrammaton said to Moshèh: «ⓘ and station yourself before Par'òh and say to him: Thus has the Tetragrammaton, ⓘ of the 'Ivrìm, said: let go my people, that they may serve me.

כי בפעם הזאת אני שלח את כל מגפתי אל לבך ובעבדיך ובעמך בעבור תדע כי אין כמני בכל הארץ
ἐν τῷ γὰρ νῦν καιρῷ ἐγὼ ἐξαποστέλλω πάντα τὰ συναντήματά μου εἰς τὴν καρδίαν σου καὶ τῶν θεραπόντων σου καὶ τοῦ λαοῦ σου, ἵν εἰδῇς ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ὡς ἐγὼ ἄλλος ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ.
For ⓘ I am sending ⓘ against your heart and against your servants and against your people, ⓘ that ⓘ in all the earth.

כי עתה שלחתי את ידי ואך אותך ואת עמך בדבר ותכחד מן הארץ
νῦν γὰρ ἀποστείλας τὴν χεῖρα πατάξω σε καὶ τὸν λαόν σου θανάτῳ, καὶ ἐκτριβήσῃ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς·
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——For now, ⓘ, ⓘ you and your people ⓘ, and you will be ⓘ from the earth.—— Masoretic (MT) ——For now I would have stretched out my hand and ⓘ you and your people with ⓘ, and you ⓘ from the earth.

ואולם בעבור זאת העמדתיך בעבור הראתך את כחי ולמען ספר שמי בכל הארץ
καὶ ἕνεκεν τούτου διετηρήθης, ἵνα ἐνδείξωμαι ἐν σοὶ τὴν ἰσχύν μου, καὶ ὅπως διαγγελῇ τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And for this very reason ⓘ, that I may ⓘ in you my ⓘ, and that my name may be ⓘ in all the earth.—— Masoretic (MT) ——But ⓘ ⓘ, to ⓘ my ⓘ and that my ⓘ may be recounted in all the earth.

עודך מסתולל בעמי לבלתי שלחם
ἔτι οὖν σὺ ἐμποιῇ τοῦ λαοῦ μου τοῦ μὴ ἐξαποστεῖλαι αὐτούς.
You still ⓘ against my people, refusing to let them go.
18
הנני ממטיר כעת מחר ברד כבד מאד אשר לא היה כמהו במצרים למן היום הוסדה ועד עתה
ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ὕω ταύτην τὴν ὥραν αὔριον χάλαζαν πολλὴν σφόδρα, ἥτις τοιαύτη οὐ γέγονεν ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ ἀφ’ ἧς ἡμέρας ἔκτισται ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης.
Behold, I will make ⓘ rain down ⓘ tomorrow, such as has never been in Egypt ⓘ until this day.

ועתה שלח העז את מקנך ואת כל אשר לך בשדה כל האדם והבהמה אשר ימצא בשדה ולא יאסף הביתה וירד עלהם הברד ומתו
νῦν οὖν κατάσπευσον συναγαγεῖν τὰ κτήνη σου καὶ ὅσα σοί ἐστιν ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ· πάντες γὰρ οἱ ἄνθρωποι καὶ τὰ κτήνη, ὅσα ἂν εὑρεθῇ ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ καὶ μὴ εἰσέλθῃ εἰς οἰκίαν, πέσῃ δὲ ἐπ’ αὐτὰ ἡ χάλαζα, τελευτήσει.
Now ⓘ your livestock and all that you have in the field; every man and every animal that is found in the field and is not ⓘ into the house, upon them the hail will come down and they will die.

הירא את דבר יהוה מעבדי פרעה הניס את עבדיו ואת מקנהו אל הבתים
ὁ φοβούμενος τὸ ῥῆμα κυρίου τῶν θεραπόντων Φαραω συνήγαγεν τὰ κτήνη αὐτοῦ εἰς τοὺς οἴκους·
Whoever ⓘ the word of the Tetragrammaton among the servants of Par'òh ⓘ his servants and his livestock into the houses;
21
ואשר לא שם לבו אל דבר יהוה ויעזב את עבדיו ואת מקנהו בשדה
ὃς δὲ μὴ προσέσχεν τῇ διανοίᾳ εἰς τὸ ῥῆμα κυρίου, ἀφῆκεν τὰ κτήνη ἐν τοῖς πεδίοις. –
but whoever ⓘ to the word of the Tetragrammaton abandoned his servants and his livestock in the field.
22
ויאמר יהוה אל משה נטה את ידך על השמים ויהי ברד בכל ארץ מצרים על האדם ועל הבהמה ועל כל עשב השדה בארץ מצרים
εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Ἔκτεινον τὴν χεῖρά σου εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν, καὶ ἔσται χάλαζα ἐπὶ πᾶσαν γῆν Αἰγύπτου, ἐπί τε τοὺς ἀνθρώπους καὶ τὰ κτήνη καὶ ἐπὶ πᾶσαν βοτάνην τὴν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς.
The Tetragrammaton said to Moshèh: «Stretch out your hand toward the heavens, and there will be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon men and upon the animals and upon ⓘ in the land of Egypt».

ויט משה את מטהו על השמים ויהוה נתן קלת וברד ותהלך אש ארצה וימטר יהוה ברד על ארץ מצרים
ἐξέτεινεν δὲ Μωϋσῆς τὴν χεῖρα εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν, καὶ κύριος ἔδωκεν φωνὰς καὶ χάλαζαν, καὶ διέτρεχεν τὸ πῦρ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, καὶ ἔβρεξεν κύριος χάλαζαν ἐπὶ πᾶσαν γῆν Αἰγύπτου.
Moshèh stretched out his ⓘ toward the heavens, and the Tetragrammaton gave ⓘ and hail; ⓘ, and the Tetragrammaton made hail rain down upon the land of Egypt.

ויהי ברד ואש מתלקחת בתוך הברד כבד מאד אשר לא היה כמהו בכל ארץ מצרים מאז היתה לגוי
ἦν δὲ ἡ χάλαζα καὶ τὸ πῦρ φλογίζον ἐν τῇ χαλάζῃ· ἡ δὲ χάλαζα πολλὴ σφόδρα σφόδρα, ἥτις τοιαύτη οὐ γέγονεν ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ ἀφ’ οὗ γεγένηται ἐπ’ αὐτῆς ἔθνος.
There was hail and ⓘ, very heavy, such as there had never been in all the land of Egypt ⓘ.
25
ויך הברד בכל ארץ מצרים את כל אשר בשדה מאדם ועד בהמה ואת כל עשב השדה הכה הברד ואת כל עץ השדה שבר
ἐπάταξεν δὲ ἡ χάλαζα ἐν πάσῃ γῇ Αἰγύπτου ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπου ἕως κτήνους, καὶ πᾶσαν βοτάνην τὴν ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ ἐπάταξεν ἡ χάλαζα, καὶ πάντα τὰ ξύλα τὰ ἐν τοῖς πεδίοις συνέτριψεν ἡ χάλαζα·
The hail ⓘ in all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, ⓘ; the hail beat down all the herb of the field and ⓘ all the trees of the field.
26
רק בארץ גשן אשר שם בני ישראל לא היה ברד
πλὴν ἐν γῇ Γεσεμ, οὗ ἦσαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ, οὐκ ἐγένετο ἡ χάλαζα.
Only in the land of ⓘ, where the children of Israel were, there was no hail.
27
וישלח פרעה ויקרא למשה ולאהרן ויאמר אלהם חטאתי הפעם יהוה הצדיק ואני ועמי הרשעים
ἀποστείλας δὲ Φαραω ἐκάλεσεν Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ἡμάρτηκα τὸ νῦν· ὁ κύριος δίκαιος, ἐγὼ δὲ καὶ ὁ λαός μου ἀσεβεῖς.
Par'òh sent to summon Moshèh and Aharòn and said to them: «ⓘ! The Tetragrammaton is ⓘ, and I and my people are ⓘ.

העתירו אל יהוה ורב מהית קלת אלהים וברד ואשלחה אתכם ולא תספון לעמד
εὔξασθε οὖν περὶ ἐμοῦ πρὸς κύριον, καὶ παυσάσθω τοῦ γενηθῆναι φωνὰς θεοῦ καὶ χάλαζαν καὶ πῦρ· καὶ ἐξαποστελῶ ὑμᾶς, καὶ οὐκέτι προσθήσεσθε μένειν.
ⓘ with the Tetragrammaton: let it suffice of these ⓘ and of this hail; and I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer».

ויאמר אליו משה כצאתי את העיר אפרש את כפי אל יהוה הקלות יחדלון והברד לא יהיה עוד למען תדע כי ליהוה הארץ
εἶπεν δὲ αὐτῷ Μωϋσῆς Ὡς ἂν ἐξέλθω τὴν πόλιν, ἐκπετάσω τὰς χεῖράς μου πρὸς κύριον, καὶ αἱ φωναὶ παύσονται, καὶ ἡ χάλαζα καὶ ὁ ὑετὸς οὐκ ἔσται ἔτι· ἵνα γνῷς ὅτι τοῦ κυρίου ἡ γῆ.
Moshèh said to him: «ⓘ ⓘ toward the Tetragrammaton: the thunders will cease and the hail will be no more, ⓘ that ⓘ.
30
ואתה ועבדיך ידעתי כי טרם תיראון מפני יהוה אלהים
καὶ σὺ καὶ οἱ θεράποντές σου ἐπίσταμαι ὅτι οὐδέπω πεφόβησθε τὸν κύριον.
But as for you and your servants, ⓘ that you will not yet fear before the ⓘ».
31
והפשתה והשערה נכתה כי השערה אביב והפשתה גבעל
τὸ δὲ λίνον καὶ ἡ κριθὴ ἐπλήγη· ἡ γὰρ κριθὴ παρεστηκυῖα, τὸ δὲ λίνον σπερματίζον.
The ⓘ and the ⓘ were struck, for the barley was ⓘ and the flax ⓘ;
32
והחטה והכסמת לא נכו כי אפילת הנה
ὁ δὲ πυρὸς καὶ ἡ ὀλύρα οὐκ ἐπλήγη· ὄψιμα γὰρ ἦν.
the ⓘ and the ⓘ were not struck, because ⓘ.
33
ויצא משה מעם פרעה את העיר ויפרש כפיו אל יהוה ויחדלו הקלות והברד ומטר לא נתך ארצה
ἐξῆλθεν δὲ Μωϋσῆς ἀπὸ Φαραω ἐκτὸς τῆς πόλεως καὶ ἐξεπέτασεν τὰς χεῖρας πρὸς κύριον, καὶ αἱ φωναὶ ἐπαύσαντο καὶ ἡ χάλαζα, καὶ ὁ ὑετὸς οὐκ ἔσταξεν ἔτι ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν.
Moshèh went out ⓘ out of the city and stretched out his hands toward the Tetragrammaton; the thunders and the hail ceased, and the rain ⓘ.
34
וירא פרעה כי חדל המטר והברד והקלת ויסף לחטא ויכבד לבו הוא ועבדיו
ἰδὼν δὲ Φαραω ὅτι πέπαυται ὁ ὑετὸς καὶ ἡ χάλαζα καὶ αἱ φωναί, προσέθετο τοῦ ἁμαρτάνειν καὶ ἐβάρυνεν αὐτοῦ τὴν καρδίαν καὶ τῶν θεραπόντων αὐτοῦ.
Par'òh saw that the ⓘ, the hail and the thunders had ceased: ⓘ and ⓘ, he and his servants.
35
ויחזק לב פרעה ולא שלח את בני ישראל כאשר דבר יהוה ביד משה
καὶ ἐσκληρύνθη ἡ καρδία Φαραω, καὶ οὐκ ἐξαπέστειλεν τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ, καθάπερ ἐλάλησεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ.
The heart of Par'òh ⓘ, and he did not let the children of Israel go, as the Tetragrammaton had spoken ⓘ.
