ויאמר יהוה אל משה עתה תראה אשר אעשה לפרעה כי ביד חזקה ישלחם וביד חזקה יגרשם מארצו
καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Ἤδη ὄψει ἃ ποιήσω τῷ Φαραω· ἐν γὰρ χειρὶ κραταιᾷ ἐξαποστελεῖ αὐτοὺς καὶ ἐν βραχίονι ὑψηλῷ ἐκβαλεῖ αὐτοὺς ἐκ τῆς γῆς αὐτοῦ.
And the Tetragrammatonⓘ said to Moshèh: «Now you shall see what I will do to Par'òh: with a mighty handⓘ he will send them away, and with a mighty handⓘ he will drive them out of his land».

וידבר אלהים אל משה ויאמר אליו אני יהוה
Ἐλάλησεν δὲ ὁ θεὸς πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτόν Ἐγὼ κύριος·
And Godⓘ spoke to Moshèh and said to him: «I am the Tetragrammatonⓘ».

וארא אל אברהם אל יצחק ואל יעקב באל שדי ושמי יהוה לא נודעתי להם
καὶ ὤφθην πρὸς Αβρααμ καὶ Ισαακ καὶ Ιακωβ, θεὸς ὢν αὐτῶν, καὶ τὸ ὄνομά μου κύριος οὐκ ἐδήλωσα αὐτοῖς·
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And I appeared to Avrahàm, to Yitzhàq and to Yaaqòv, being I their Godⓘ; but my name Tetragrammatonⓘ I did not make manifestⓘ to them.—— Masoretic (MT) ——«And I appeared to Avrahàm, to Yitzhàq and to Yaaqòv as El Shaddàiⓘ, but my nameⓘ Tetragrammatonⓘ I did not make knownⓘ to them».

וגם הקמתי את בריתי אתם לתת להם את ארץ כנען את ארץ מגריהם אשר גרו בה
καὶ ἔστησα τὴν διαθήκην μου πρὸς αὐτοὺς ὥστε δοῦναι αὐτοῖς τὴν γῆν τῶν Χαναναίων, τὴν γῆν, ἣν παρῳκήκασιν, ἐν ᾗ καὶ παρῴκησαν ἐπ’ αὐτῆς.
«And I also established my covenantⓘ with them, to give them the land of Kena'an, the land of their sojourningsⓘ, where they sojourned».

וגם אני שמעתי את נאקת בני ישראל אשר מצרים מעבדים אתם ואזכר את בריתי
καὶ ἐγὼ εἰσήκουσα τὸν στεναγμὸν τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ, ὃν οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι καταδουλοῦνται αὐτούς, καὶ ἐμνήσθην τῆς διαθήκης ὑμῶν.
«And I also have heard the groaningⓘ of the children of Yisra'el, whom Mitzràyim enslaves, and I have rememberedⓘ my covenant».

לכן אמר לבני ישראל אני יהוה והוצאתי אתכם מתחת סבלת מצרים והצלתי אתכם מעבדתם וגאלתי אתכם בזרוע נטויה ובשפטים גדלים
βάδιζε εἰπὸν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ λέγων Ἐγὼ κύριος καὶ ἐξάξω ὑμᾶς ἀπὸ τῆς δυναστείας τῶν Αἰγυπτίων καὶ ῥύσομαι ὑμᾶς ἐκ τῆς δουλείας καὶ λυτρώσομαι ὑμᾶς ἐν βραχίονι ὑψηλῷ καὶ κρίσει μεγάλῃ
«Therefore say to the children of Yisra'el: I am the Tetragrammatonⓘ, and I will bringⓘ you out from under the burdensⓘ of Mitzràyim, and I will deliverⓘ you from their 'avodàh, and I will redeemⓘ you with an outstretched armⓘ and with great judgmentsⓘ».

ולקחתי אתכם לי לעם והייתי לכם לאלהים וידעתם כי אני יהוה אלהיכם המוציא אתכם מתחת סבלות מצרים
καὶ λήμψομαι ἐμαυτῷ ὑμᾶς λαὸν ἐμοὶ καὶ ἔσομαι ὑμῶν θεός, καὶ γνώσεσθε ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν ὁ ἐξαγαγὼν ὑμᾶς ἐκ τῆς καταδυναστείας τῶν Αἰγυπτίων,
«And I will takeⓘ you as my people and I will be your Godⓘ; and you shall knowⓘ that I am the Tetragrammatonⓘ your God, the one who brings you out from under the burdens of Mitzràyim».

והבאתי אתכם אל הארץ אשר נשאתי את ידי לתת אתה לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב ונתתי אתה לכם מורשה אני יהוה
καὶ εἰσάξω ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν γῆν, εἰς ἣν ἐξέτεινα τὴν χεῖρά μου δοῦναι αὐτὴν τῷ Αβρααμ καὶ Ισαακ καὶ Ιακωβ, καὶ δώσω ὑμῖν αὐτὴν ἐν κλήρῳ· ἐγὼ κύριος.
«And I will leadⓘ you into the land that I lifted up my handⓘ to give to Avrahàm, to Yitzhàq and to Yaaqòv, and I will give it to you as a possessionⓘ. I am the Tetragrammatonⓘ».

וידבר משה כן אל בני ישראל ולא שמעו אל משה מקצר רוח ומעבדה קשה
ἐλάλησεν δὲ Μωϋσῆς οὕτως τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ, καὶ οὐκ εἰσήκουσαν Μωυσῇ ἀπὸ τῆς ὀλιγοψυχίας καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν ἔργων τῶν σκληρῶν.
And Moshèh spoke thus to the children of Yisra'el, but they did not listen to Moshèh because of shortness of breathⓘ and because of the harsh bondageⓘ.

וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר
Εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων
And the Tetragrammatonⓘ spoke to Moshèh saying:

בא דבר אל פרעה מלך מצרים וישלח את בני ישראל מארצו
Εἴσελθε λάλησον Φαραω βασιλεῖ Αἰγύπτου, ἵνα ἐξαποστείλῃ τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐκ τῆς γῆς αὐτοῦ.
«Go in, speak to Par'òh king of Mitzràyim, that he may send away the children of Yisra'el from his land».

וידבר משה לפני יהוה לאמר הן בני ישראל לא שמעו אלי ואיך ישמעני פרעה ואני ערל שפתים
ἐλάλησεν δὲ Μωϋσῆς ἔναντι κυρίου λέγων Ἰδοὺ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ οὐκ εἰσήκουσάν μου, καὶ πῶς εἰσακούσεταί μου Φαραω; ἐγὼ δὲ ἄλογός εἰμι.
And Moshèh spoke beforeⓘ the Tetragrammatonⓘ saying: «Behold, the children of Yisra'el have not listened to me; how then shall Par'òh listen to me? And I am uncircumcised of lipsⓘ».

וידבר יהוה אל משה ואל אהרן ויצום אל בני ישראל ואל פרעה מלך מצרים להוציא את בני ישראל מארץ מצרים
εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων καὶ συνέταξεν αὐτοῖς πρὸς Φαραω βασιλέα Αἰγύπτου ὥστε ἐξαποστεῖλαι τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου.
And the Tetragrammatonⓘ spoke to Moshèh and to Aharòn and gave them commandsⓘ concerning the children of Yisra'el and concerning Par'òh king of Mitzràyim, to bring the children of Yisra'el out of the land of Mitzràyim.

אלה ראשי בית אבתם בני ראובן בכר ישראל חנוך ופלוא חצרון וכרמי אלה משפחת ראובן
Καὶ οὗτοι ἀρχηγοὶ οἴκων πατριῶν αὐτῶν. υἱοὶ Ρουβην πρωτοτόκου Ισραηλ· Ενωχ καὶ Φαλλους, Ασρων καὶ Χαρμι· αὕτη ἡ συγγένεια Ρουβην.
These are the headsⓘ of their paternal families. Sons of Re'uvèn, firstbornⓘ of Yisra'el: Chanòkh and Pallù, Chetzròn and Kharmì. These are the familiesⓘ of Re'uvèn.

ובני שמעון ימואל וימין ואהד ויכין וצחר ושאול בן הכנענית אלה משפחת שמעון
καὶ υἱοὶ Συμεων· Ιεμουηλ καὶ Ιαμιν καὶ Αωδ καὶ Ιαχιν καὶ Σααρ καὶ Σαουλ ὁ ἐκ τῆς Φοινίσσης· αὗται αἱ πατριαὶ τῶν υἱῶν Συμεων.
And sons of Shim'òn: Yemu'èl and Yamìn and Ohàd and Yakhìn and Tzòchar and Sha'ùl, son of the Kena'anìtⓘ. These are the mishpechòt of Shim'òn.

ואלה שמות בני לוי לתלדתם גרשון וקהת ומררי ושני חיי לוי שבע ושלשים ומאת שנה
καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν υἱῶν Λευι κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν· Γεδσων, Κααθ καὶ Μεραρι· καὶ τὰ ἔτη τῆς ζωῆς Λευι ἑκατὸν τριάκοντα ἑπτά.
And these are the namesⓘ of the sons of Levì according to their generationsⓘ: Ghershòn and Qehàt and Merarì; and the years of the life of Levì: one hundred thirty-seven yearsⓘ.

בני גרשון לבני ושמעי למשפחתם
καὶ οὗτοι υἱοὶ Γεδσων· Λοβενι καὶ Σεμει, οἶκοι πατριᾶς αὐτῶν.
Sons of Ghershòn: Livnì and Shim'ì, according to their mishpechòt.
18
ובני קהת עמרם ויצהר וחברון ועזיאל ושני חיי קהת שלש ושלשים ומאת שנה
καὶ υἱοὶ Κααθ· Αμβραμ καὶ Ισσααρ, Χεβρων καὶ Οζιηλ· καὶ τὰ ἔτη τῆς ζωῆς Κααθ ἑκατὸν τριάκοντα ἔτη.
And sons of Qehàt: 'Amràm and Yitzehàr and Chevròn and 'Uzzièl; and the years of the life of Qehàt: one hundred thirty-three yearsⓘ.

ובני מררי מחלי ומושי אלה משפחת הלוי לתלדתם
καὶ υἱοὶ Μεραρι· Μοολι καὶ Ομουσι. οὗτοι οἶκοι πατριῶν Λευι κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν.
And sons of Merarì: Machlì and Mushì. These are the mishpechòt of the Levites according to their toldòt.

ויקח עמרם את יוכבד דדתו לו לאשה ותלד לו את אהרן ואת משה ושני חיי עמרם שבע ושלשים ומאת שנה
καὶ ἔλαβεν Αμβραμ τὴν Ιωχαβεδ θυγατέρα τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ ἑαυτῷ εἰς γυναῖκα, καὶ ἐγέννησεν αὐτῷ τόν τε Ααρων καὶ Μωυσῆν καὶ Μαριαμ τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτῶν· τὰ δὲ ἔτη τῆς ζωῆς Αμβραμ ἑκατὸν τριάκοντα δύο ἔτη.

ובני יצהר קרח ונפג וזכרי
καὶ υἱοὶ Ισσααρ· Κορε καὶ Ναφεκ καὶ Ζεχρι.
And sons of Yitzhàr: Qòrach and Nèfeg and Zikhrì.

ובני עזיאל מישאל ואלצפן וסתרי
καὶ υἱοὶ Οζιηλ· Ελισαφαν καὶ Σετρι.
And sons of 'Uzzièl: Mishaèl and Eltzafàn and Sitrì.

ויקח אהרן את אלישבע בת עמינדב אחות נחשון לו לאשה ותלד לו את נדב ואת אביהוא את אלעזר ואת איתמר
ἔλαβεν δὲ Ααρων τὴν Ελισαβεθ θυγατέρα Αμιναδαβ ἀδελφὴν Ναασσων αὐτῷ γυναῖκα, καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τόν τε Ναδαβ καὶ Αβιουδ καὶ Ελεαζαρ καὶ Ιθαμαρ.
And Aharòn took as wife Elishèvaⓘ daughter of 'Amminadàv, sister of Nachshòn, and she bore him Nadàv and Avihù, El'azàr and Itamàr.

ובני קרח אסיר ואלקנה ואביאסף אלה משפחת הקרחי
υἱοὶ δὲ Κορε· Ασιρ καὶ Ελκανα καὶ Αβιασαφ· αὗται αἱ γενέσεις Κορε.
And sons of Qòrach: Assìr and Elqanàh and Aviasàf. These are the mishpechòt of the Qorachitesⓘ.

ואלעזר בן אהרן לקח לו מבנות פוטיאל לו לאשה ותלד לו את פינחס אלה ראשי אבות הלוים למשפחתם
καὶ Ελεαζαρ ὁ τοῦ Ααρων ἔλαβεν τῶν θυγατέρων Φουτιηλ αὐτῷ γυναῖκα, καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τὸν Φινεες. αὗται αἱ ἀρχαὶ πατριᾶς Λευιτῶν κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν.
And El'azàr son of Aharòn took as wife one of the daughters of Puti'èl, and she bore him Pinechàsⓘ. These are the heads of the fathersⓘ of the Levites according to their mishpechòt.

הוא אהרן ומשה אשר אמר יהוה להם הוציאו את בני ישראל מארץ מצרים על צבאתם
οὗτος Ααρων καὶ Μωϋσῆς, οἷς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ θεὸς ἐξαγαγεῖν τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν·
These are Aharòn and Moshèh — named here in reverse orderⓘ —, to whom the Tetragrammatonⓘ said: «Bring the children of Yisra'el out of the land of Mitzràyim according to their hostsⓘ».

הם המדברים אל פרעה מלך מצרים להוציא את בני ישראל ממצרים הוא משה ואהרן
οὗτοί εἰσιν οἱ διαλεγόμενοι πρὸς Φαραω βασιλέα Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἐξήγαγον τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐξ Αἰγύπτου· αὐτὸς Ααρων καὶ Μωϋσῆς.
They are the ones who spoke to Par'òh king of Mitzràyim to bring the children of Yisra'el out of Mitzràyim: this Moshèh and Aharòn.

ויהי ביום דבר יהוה אל משה בארץ מצרים
Ἧι ἡμέρᾳ ἐλάλησεν κύριος Μωυσῇ ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ,
And it was on the dayⓘ on which the Tetragrammatonⓘ spoke to Moshèh in the land of Mitzràyim,

וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר אני יהוה דבר אל פרעה מלך מצרים את כל אשר אני דבר אליך
καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων Ἐγὼ κύριος· λάλησον πρὸς Φαραω βασιλέα Αἰγύπτου ὅσα ἐγὼ λέγω πρὸς σέ.
that the Tetragrammatonⓘ spoke to Moshèh saying: «I am the Tetragrammatonⓘ. Speak to Par'òh king of Mitzràyim all that I tell you».

ויאמר משה לפני יהוה הן אני ערל שפתים ואיך ישמע אלי פרעה
καὶ εἶπεν Μωϋσῆς ἐναντίον κυρίου Ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἰσχνόφωνός εἰμι, καὶ πῶς εἰσακούσεταί μου Φαραω;
And Moshèh said beforeⓘ the Tetragrammatonⓘ: «Behold, I am uncircumcised of lipsⓘ; how then shall Par'òh listen to me?».
