ועשית מזבח מקטר קטרת עצי שטים תעשה אתו
Καὶ ποιήσεις θυσιαστήριον θυμιάματος ἐκ ξύλων ἀσήπτων· καὶ ποιήσεις αὐτὸ
You shall make an altar for burning incenseⓘ of acaciaⓘ wood: you shall make it.

אמה ארכו ואמה רחבו רבוע יהיה ואמתים קמתו ממנו קרנתיו
πήχεος τὸ μῆκος καὶ πήχεος τὸ εὖρος – τετράγωνον ἔσται – καὶ δύο πήχεων τὸ ὕψος· ἐξ αὐτοῦ ἔσται τὰ κέρατα αὐτοῦ.
A cubit in length and a cubit in width — it shall be squareⓘ — and two cubits its height; its hornsⓘ shall be of one piece with it, formed from the same materialⓘ.

וצפית אתו זהב טהור את גגו ואת קירתיו סביב ואת קרנתיו ועשית לו זר זהב סביב
καὶ καταχρυσώσεις αὐτὰ χρυσίῳ καθαρῷ, τὴν ἐσχάραν αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς τοίχους αὐτοῦ κύκλῳ καὶ τὰ κέρατα αὐτοῦ, καὶ ποιήσεις αὐτῷ στρεπτὴν στεφάνην χρυσῆν κύκλῳ.
You shall overlay it with pure goldⓘ: its top, its walls all around, and its horns; and you shall make for it a gold moldingⓘ all around.

ושתי טבעת זהב תעשה לו מתחת לזרו על שתי צלעתיו תעשה על שני צדיו והיה לבתים לבדים לשאת אתו בהמה
καὶ δύο δακτυλίους χρυσοῦς καθαροὺς ποιήσεις ὑπὸ τὴν στρεπτὴν στεφάνην αὐτοῦ, εἰς τὰ δύο κλίτη ποιήσεις ἐν τοῖς δυσὶ πλευροῖς· καὶ ἔσονται ψαλίδες ταῖς σκυτάλαις ὥστε αἴρειν αὐτὸ ἐν αὐταῖς.
Two ringsⓘ of gold you shall make for it beneath the molding, on its two sidesⓘ, on the two opposite sides, and they shall serve as housings for the poles to carry it with them.

ועשית את הבדים עצי שטים וצפית אתם זהב
καὶ ποιήσεις σκυτάλας ἐκ ξύλων ἀσήπτων καὶ καταχρυσώσεις αὐτὰς χρυσίῳ.
You shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.

ונתתה אתו לפני הפרכת אשר על ארן העדת לפני הכפרת אשר על העדת אשר אועד לך שמה
καὶ θήσεις αὐτὸ ἀπέναντι τοῦ καταπετάσματος τοῦ ὄντος ἐπὶ τῆς κιβωτοῦ τῶν μαρτυρίων, ἐν οἷς γνωσθήσομαί σοι ἐκεῖθεν.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——and you shall place it before the veilⓘ that is over the Ark of the Testimoniesⓘ, there where I will make myself known to you from there.—— Masoretic (MT) ——You shall place it before the veilⓘ that is over the Ark of the Testimonyⓘ, before the mercy seatⓘ that is over the Testimony, where I will meet with you.

והקטיר עליו אהרן קטרת סמים בבקר בבקר בהיטיבו את הנרת יקטירנה
καὶ θυμιάσει ἐπ’ αὐτοῦ Ααρων θυμίαμα σύνθετον λεπτόν· τὸ πρωῒ πρωί, ὅταν ἐπισκευάζῃ τοὺς λύχνους, θυμιάσει ἐπ’ αὐτοῦ,
Aharònⓘ shall burn upon it aromatic incenseⓘ every morning: when he tendsⓘ the lamps, he shall burn it;

ובהעלת אהרן את הנרת בין הערבים יקטירנה קטרת תמיד לפני יהוה לדרתיכם
καὶ ὅταν ἐξάπτῃ Ααρων τοὺς λύχνους ὀψέ, θυμιάσει ἐπ’ αὐτοῦ· θυμίαμα ἐνδελεχισμοῦ διὰ παντὸς ἔναντι κυρίου εἰς γενεὰς αὐτῶν.
and when Aharòn lights the lamps at twilightⓘ, he shall burn it: a perpetualⓘ incense before the Tetragrammatonⓘ throughout your generations.

לא תעלו עליו קטרת זרה ועלה ומנחה ונסך לא תסכו עליו
καὶ οὐκ ἀνοίσεις ἐπ’ αὐτοῦ θυμίαμα ἕτερον, κάρπωμα, θυσίαν· καὶ σπονδὴν οὐ σπείσεις ἐπ’ αὐτοῦ.
You shall not offer upon it strange incenseⓘ, nor burnt offering, nor grain offeringⓘ, nor shall you pour a libation upon it.

וכפר אהרן על קרנתיו אחת בשנה מדם חטאת הכפרים אחת בשנה יכפר עליו לדרתיכם קדש קדשים הוא ליהוה
καὶ ἐξιλάσεται ἐπ’ αὐτὸ Ααρων ἐπὶ τῶν κεράτων αὐτοῦ ἅπαξ τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ· ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος τοῦ καθαρισμοῦ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν τοῦ ἐξιλασμοῦ ἅπαξ τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ καθαριεῖ αὐτὸ εἰς τὰς γενεὰς αὐτῶν· ἅγιον τῶν ἁγίων ἐστὶν κυρίῳ
Aharòn shall make atonementⓘ upon its horns once a year: with the blood of the sin offeringⓘ of atonements, once a year, he shall make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most holyⓘ to the Tetragrammaton.

וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר
Καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων
The Tetragrammaton spoke to Moshehⓘ, saying:

כי תשא את ראש בני ישראל לפקדיהם ונתנו איש כפר נפשו ליהוה בפקד אתם ולא יהיה בהם נגף בפקד אתם
Ἐὰν λάβῃς τὸν συλλογισμὸν τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἐν τῇ ἐπισκοπῇ αὐτῶν, καὶ δώσουσιν ἕκαστος λύτρα τῆς ψυχῆς αὐτοῦ τῷ κυρίῳ, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἐν αὐτοῖς πτῶσις ἐν τῇ ἐπισκοπῇ αὐτῶν.
When you take the censusⓘ of the children of Israel according to their registers, each shall give to the Tetragrammaton the ransom of his own lifeⓘ, so that there be no plagueⓘ among them when you count them.

זה יתנו כל העבר על הפקדים מחצית השקל בשקל הקדש עשרים גרה השקל מחצית השקל תרומה ליהוה
καὶ τοῦτό ἐστιν ὃ δώσουσιν ὅσοι ἂν παραπορεύωνται τὴν ἐπίσκεψιν· τὸ ἥμισυ τοῦ διδράχμου, ὅ ἐστιν κατὰ τὸ δίδραχμον τὸ ἅγιον· εἴκοσι ὀβολοὶ τὸ δίδραχμον, τὸ δὲ ἥμισυ τοῦ διδράχμου εἰσφορὰ κυρίῳ.
This shall they give, all who pass into the reckoning: half a shekelⓘ according to the sanctuary shekel — the shekel is twenty gerah — half a shekel as a heave offeringⓘ to the Tetragrammaton.

כל העבר על הפקדים מבן עשרים שנה ומעלה יתן תרומת יהוה
πᾶς ὁ παραπορευόμενος εἰς τὴν ἐπίσκεψιν ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω δώσουσιν τὴν εἰσφορὰν κυρίῳ.
Everyone who passes into the reckoning, from twenty years old and upward, shall give the offering of the Tetragrammaton.

העשיר לא ירבה והדל לא ימעיט ממחצית השקל לתת את תרומת יהוה לכפר על נפשתיכם
ὁ πλουτῶν οὐ προσθήσει καὶ ὁ πενόμενος οὐκ ἐλαττονήσει ἀπὸ τοῦ ἡμίσους τοῦ διδράχμου ἐν τῷ διδόναι τὴν εἰσφορὰν κυρίῳ ἐξιλάσασθαι περὶ τῶν ψυχῶν ὑμῶν.
The rich shall not give more and the poor shall not give less than half a shekelⓘ, in giving the offering of the Tetragrammaton to make atonementⓘ upon your livesⓘ.

ולקחת את כסף הכפרים מאת בני ישראל ונתת אתו על עבדת אהל מועד והיה לבני ישראל לזכרון לפני יהוה לכפר על נפשתיכם
καὶ λήμψῃ τὸ ἀργύριον τῆς εἰσφορᾶς παρὰ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ δώσεις αὐτὸ εἰς κάτεργον τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ ἔσται τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ μνημόσυνον ἔναντι κυρίου ἐξιλάσασθαι περὶ τῶν ψυχῶν ὑμῶν.
You shall take the silver of the atonements from the children of Israel and assign it to the serviceⓘ of the Tent of Meetingⓘ, and it shall be for the children of Israel a memorialⓘ before the Tetragrammaton to make atonement upon your lives.

וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר
Καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων
The Tetragrammaton spoke to Mosheh, saying:
18
ועשית כיור נחשת וכנו נחשת לרחצה ונתת אתו בין אהל מועד ובין המזבח ונתת שמה מים
Ποίησον λουτῆρα χαλκοῦν καὶ βάσιν αὐτῷ χαλκῆν ὥστε νίπτεσθαι· καὶ θήσεις αὐτὸν ἀνὰ μέσον τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ ἐκχεεῖς εἰς αὐτὸν ὕδωρ,
You shall make a basinⓘ of bronzeⓘ, with its bronze base, for washing; you shall place it between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it;
19
ורחצו אהרן ובניו ממנו את ידיהם ואת רגליהם
καὶ νίψεται Ααρων καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ ἐξ αὐτοῦ τὰς χεῖρας καὶ τοὺς πόδας ὕδατι.
Aharòn and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet in it.
20
בבאם אל אהל מועד ירחצו מים ולא ימתו או בגשתם אל המזבח לשרת להקטיר אשה ליהוה
ὅταν εἰσπορεύωνται εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου, νίψονται ὕδατι καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀποθάνωσιν· ἢ ὅταν προσπορεύωνται πρὸς τὸ θυσιαστήριον λειτουργεῖν καὶ ἀναφέρειν τὰ ὁλοκαυτώματα κυρίῳ,
When they enter the Tent of Meeting they shall wash with water, so that they do not dieⓘ; or when they approach the altar to ministerⓘ, to burn a fire offering to the Tetragrammaton,

ורחצו ידיהם ורגליהם ולא ימתו והיתה להם חק עולם לו ולזרעו לדרתם
νίψονται τὰς χεῖρας καὶ τοὺς πόδας ὕδατι· ὅταν εἰσπορεύωνται εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου, νίψονται ὕδατι, ἵνα μὴ ἀποθάνωσιν· καὶ ἔσται αὐτοῖς νόμιμον αἰώνιον, αὐτῷ καὶ ταῖς γενεαῖς αὐτοῦ μετ’ αὐτόν.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——they shall wash their hands and their feet with water; when they enter the tent of the testimony, they shall wash with waterⓘ, so that they do not die; and it shall be for them a perpetual lawⓘ, for him and for his generations after him.—— Masoretic (MT) ——they shall wash their hands and their feet and shall not die; it shall be for them a perpetualⓘ statute, for him and for his offspring, throughout their generations.

וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר
Καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων
The Tetragrammaton spoke to Mosheh, saying:
23
ואתה קח לך בשמים ראש מר דרור חמש מאות וקנמן בשם מחציתו חמשים ומאתים וקנה בשם חמשים ומאתים
Καὶ σὺ λαβὲ ἡδύσματα, τὸ ἄνθος σμύρνης ἐκλεκτῆς πεντακοσίους σίκλους καὶ κινναμώμου εὐώδους τὸ ἥμισυ τούτου διακοσίους πεντήκοντα καὶ καλάμου εὐώδους διακοσίους πεντήκοντα
As for you, take for yourself choiceⓘ spices: pure myrrhⓘ five hundred, aromatic cinnamon half that, two hundred fifty, and aromatic caneⓘ two hundred fifty,
24
וקדה חמש מאות בשקל הקדש ושמן זית הין
καὶ ἴρεως πεντακοσίους σίκλους τοῦ ἁγίου καὶ ἔλαιον ἐξ ἐλαίων ιν
cassiaⓘ five hundred according to the sanctuary shekel, and a hinⓘ of olive oil;
25
ועשית אתו שמן משחת קדש רקח מרקחת מעשה רקח שמן משחת קדש יהיה
καὶ ποιήσεις αὐτὸ ἔλαιον χρῖσμα ἅγιον, μύρον μυρεψικὸν τέχνῃ μυρεψοῦ· ἔλαιον χρῖσμα ἅγιον ἔσται.
you shall make of it a holy anointing oilⓘ, an ointmentⓘ compounded with the perfumer's art: it shall be a holy anointing oil.
26
ומשחת בו את אהל מועד ואת ארון העדת
καὶ χρίσεις ἐξ αὐτοῦ τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ τὴν κιβωτὸν τοῦ μαρτυρίου
With it you shall anoint the Tent of Meeting and the Ark of the Testimony,
27
ואת השלחן ואת כל כליו ואת המנרה ואת כליה ואת מזבח הקטרת
καὶ τὴν λυχνίαν καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς καὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τοῦ θυμιάματος
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——and the lampstandⓘ with all its furnishings and the altar of incenseⓘ,—— Masoretic (MT) ——the tableⓘ with all its furnishings, the lampstandⓘ with its furnishings and the altar of incense,
28
ואת מזבח העלה ואת כל כליו ואת הכיר ואת כנו
καὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τῶν ὁλοκαυτωμάτων καὶ πάντα αὐτοῦ τὰ σκεύη καὶ τὴν τράπεζαν καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς καὶ τὸν λουτῆρα καὶ τὴν βάσιν αὐτοῦ
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——and the altar of burnt offeringsⓘ with all its furnishings, and the tableⓘ with all its furnishings, and the basin with its base.—— Masoretic (MT) ——the altar of burnt offeringⓘ with all its furnishings, and the basin with its base.
29
וקדשת אתם והיו קדש קדשים כל הנגע בהם יקדש
καὶ ἁγιάσεις αὐτά, καὶ ἔσται ἅγια τῶν ἁγίων· πᾶς ὁ ἁπτόμενος αὐτῶν ἁγιασθήσεται.
You shall consecrateⓘ them and they shall be most holy: whoever touches them shall be made holy.
30
ואת אהרן ואת בניו תמשח וקדשת אתם לכהן לי
καὶ Ααρων καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ χρίσεις καὶ ἁγιάσεις αὐτοὺς ἱερατεύειν μοι.
You shall anoint Aharòn and his sons and consecrate them that they may serve me as priestsⓘ.
31
ואל בני ישראל תדבר לאמר שמן משחת קדש יהיה זה לי לדרתיכם
καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ λαλήσεις λέγων Ἔλαιον ἄλειμμα χρίσεως ἅγιον ἔσται τοῦτο ὑμῖν εἰς τὰς γενεὰς ὑμῶν.
To the children of Israel you shall speak thus: This shall be for me a holy anointing oil throughout your generations.
32
על בשר אדם לא ייסך ובמתכנתו לא תעשו כמהו קדש הוא קדש יהיה לכם
ἐπὶ σάρκα ἀνθρώπου οὐ χρισθήσεται, καὶ κατὰ τὴν σύνθεσιν ταύτην οὐ ποιήσετε ὑμῖν ἑαυτοῖς ὡσαύτως· ἅγιόν ἐστιν καὶ ἁγίασμα ἔσται ὑμῖν.
Upon the body of a man it shall not be poured, and according to its compositionⓘ you shall not make one like it: it is holyⓘ, it shall be holy to you.
33
איש אשר ירקח כמהו ואשר יתן ממנו על זר ונכרת מעמיו
ὃς ἂν ποιήσῃ ὡσαύτως, καὶ ὃς ἂν δῷ ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ ἀλλογενεῖ, ἐξολεθρευθήσεται ἐκ τοῦ λαοῦ αὐτοῦ. –
The man who compounds one like it or who gives any of it to a strangerⓘ shall be cut offⓘ from his people.
34
ויאמר יהוה אל משה קח לך סמים נטף ושחלת וחלבנה סמים ולבנה זכה בד בבד יהיה
καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Λαβὲ σεαυτῷ ἡδύσματα, στακτήν, ὄνυχα, χαλβάνην ἡδυσμοῦ καὶ λίβανον διαφανῆ, ἴσον ἴσῳ ἔσται·
The Tetragrammaton saidⓘ to Mosheh: Take for yourself spices: stacteⓘ, onychaⓘ, galbanumⓘ aromatic, and pure frankincense: let them be in equal parts.
35
ועשית אתה קטרת רקח מעשה רוקח ממלח טהור קדש
καὶ ποιήσουσιν ἐν αὐτῷ θυμίαμα, μυρεψικὸν ἔργον μυρεψοῦ, μεμιγμένον, καθαρόν, ἔργον ἅγιον.
You shall make of it an incense, a perfume compounded with the perfumer's art, saltedⓘ, pure, holy;
36
ושחקת ממנה הדק ונתתה ממנה לפני העדת באהל מועד אשר אועד לך שמה קדש קדשים תהיה לכם
καὶ συγκόψεις ἐκ τούτων λεπτὸν καὶ θήσεις ἀπέναντι τῶν μαρτυρίων ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου, ὅθεν γνωσθήσομαί σοι ἐκεῖθεν· ἅγιον τῶν ἁγίων ἔσται ὑμῖν.
you shall pulverize some of it finely and place it before the Testimonyⓘ in the Tent of Meeting, where I will meet with you: it shall be most holy to you.
37
והקטרת אשר תעשה במתכנתה לא תעשו לכם קדש תהיה לך ליהוה
θυμίαμα κατὰ τὴν σύνθεσιν ταύτην οὐ ποιήσετε ὑμῖν αὐτοῖς· ἁγίασμα ἔσται ὑμῖν κυρίῳ·
The incense that you shall make according to this composition you shall not make for yourselves: it shall be for you holy, to the Tetragrammatonⓘ.
38
איש אשר יעשה כמוה להריח בה ונכרת מעמיו
ὃς ἂν ποιήσῃ ὡσαύτως ὥστε ὀσφραίνεσθαι ἐν αὐτῷ, ἀπολεῖται ἐκ τοῦ λαοῦ αὐτοῦ.
The man who makes one like it to smell its fragranceⓘ shall be cut off from his people.
