ואל משה אמר עלה אל יהוה אתה ואהרן נדב ואביהוא ושבעים מזקני ישראל והשתחויתם מרחק
Καὶ Μωυσῇ εἶπεν Ἀνάβηθι πρὸς κύριον σὺ καὶ Ααρων καὶ Ναδαβ καὶ Αβιουδ καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα τῶν πρεσβυτέρων Ισραηλ, καὶ προσκυνήσουσιν μακρόθεν τῷ κυρίῳ·
And to Moshè he said: «Go up toward the Tetragrammatonⓘ, you and Aharòn, Nadàv and Avihù and seventy of the eldersⓘ of Israèl, and you shall bow down from afarⓘ».

ונגש משה לבדו אל יהוה והם לא יגשו והעם לא יעלו עמו
καὶ ἐγγιεῖ Μωϋσῆς μόνος πρὸς τὸν θεόν, αὐτοὶ δὲ οὐκ ἐγγιοῦσιν· ὁ δὲ λαὸς οὐ συναναβήσεται μετ’ αὐτῶν.
And let Moshè alone draw near toward the Tetragrammatonⓘ, but let them not draw near, and let the people not go up with him.

ויבא משה ויספר לעם את כל דברי יהוה ואת כל המשפטים ויען כל העם קול אחד ויאמרו כל הדברים אשר דבר יהוה נעשה
εἰσῆλθεν δὲ Μωϋσῆς καὶ διηγήσατο τῷ λαῷ πάντα τὰ ῥήματα τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα· ἀπεκρίθη δὲ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς φωνῇ μιᾷ λέγοντες Πάντας τοὺς λόγους, οὓς ἐλάλησεν κύριος, ποιήσομεν καὶ ἀκουσόμεθα.
And Moshè came and recounted to the people all the words of the Tetragrammatonⓘ and all the mishpatìmⓘ; and all the people answered with one single voiceⓘ and said: «All the words that the Tetragrammatonⓘ has spoken we will doⓘ».

ויכתב משה את כל דברי יהוה וישכם בבקר ויבן מזבח תחת ההר ושתים עשרה מצבה לשנים עשר שבטי ישראל
καὶ ἔγραψεν Μωϋσῆς πάντα τὰ ῥήματα κυρίου. ὀρθρίσας δὲ Μωϋσῆς τὸ πρωῒ ᾠκοδόμησεν θυσιαστήριον ὑπὸ τὸ ὄρος καὶ δώδεκα λίθους εἰς τὰς δώδεκα φυλὰς τοῦ Ισραηλ·
And Moshè wrote all the words of the Tetragrammatonⓘ; and he rose early in the morning and built an altarⓘ at the foot of the mountain and twelve matzevòtⓘ for the twelve tribes of Israèl.

וישלח את נערי בני ישראל ויעלו עלת ויזבחו זבחים שלמים ליהוה פרים
καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν τοὺς νεανίσκους τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ, καὶ ἀνήνεγκαν ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ ἔθυσαν θυσίαν σωτηρίου τῷ θεῷ μοσχάρια.
And he sent the young men of the children of Israèl, and they offered up burnt offeringsⓘ and sacrificed shelamìmⓘ to the Tetragrammatonⓘ, bullsⓘ.

ויקח משה חצי הדם וישם באגנת וחצי הדם זרק על המזבח
λαβὼν δὲ Μωϋσῆς τὸ ἥμισυ τοῦ αἵματος ἐνέχεεν εἰς κρατῆρας, τὸ δὲ ἥμισυ τοῦ αἵματος προσέχεεν πρὸς τὸ θυσιαστήριον.
And Moshè took half of the blood and put it in the basinsⓘ, and half of the blood he sprinkledⓘ upon the altar.

ויקח ספר הברית ויקרא באזני העם ויאמרו כל אשר דבר יהוה נעשה ונשמע
καὶ λαβὼν τὸ βιβλίον τῆς διαθήκης ἀνέγνω εἰς τὰ ὦτα τοῦ λαοῦ, καὶ εἶπαν Πάντα, ὅσα ἐλάλησεν κύριος, ποιήσομεν καὶ ἀκουσόμεθα.
And he took the Sèfer ha-Berìtⓘ and read it in the ears of the people, and they said: «All that the Tetragrammatonⓘ has spoken we will do and we will hearⓘ».

ויקח משה את הדם ויזרק על העם ויאמר הנה דם הברית אשר כרת יהוה עמכם על כל הדברים האלה
λαβὼν δὲ Μωϋσῆς τὸ αἷμα κατεσκέδασεν τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ εἶπεν Ἰδοὺ τὸ αἷμα τῆς διαθήκης, ἧς διέθετο κύριος πρὸς ὑμᾶς περὶ πάντων τῶν λόγων τούτων.
And Moshè took the blood and sprinkled it upon the people and said: «Behold the blood of the covenantⓘ that the Tetragrammatonⓘ has cutⓘ with you concerning all these words».

ויעל משה ואהרן נדב ואביהוא ושבעים מזקני ישראל
Καὶ ἀνέβη Μωϋσῆς καὶ Ααρων καὶ Ναδαβ καὶ Αβιουδ καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα τῆς γερουσίας Ισραηλ
And Moshè went up, and Aharòn, Nadàv and Avihù and seventy of the eldersⓘ of Israèl,

ויראו את אלהי ישראל ותחת רגליו כמעשה לבנת הספיר וכעצם השמים לטהר
καὶ εἶδον τὸν τόπον, οὗ εἱστήκει ἐκεῖ ὁ θεὸς τοῦ Ισραηλ· καὶ τὰ ὑπὸ τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ ὡσεὶ ἔργον πλίνθου σαπφείρου καὶ ὥσπερ εἶδος στερεώματος τοῦ οὐρανοῦ τῇ καθαριότητι.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——and they saw the placeⓘ where there stood the God of Israèlⓘ; and that which was under his feet was like a work of slab of sapphireⓘ, and like the appearance of the firmamentⓘ of heaven for clearness.—— Masoretic (MT) ——and they saw the God of Israèlⓘ; and under his feetⓘ like a work of slab of sapphireⓘ, clear and pure, and like the very substance of the heavens for clearness.

ואל אצילי בני ישראל לא שלח ידו ויחזו את האלהים ויאכלו וישתו
καὶ τῶν ἐπιλέκτων τοῦ Ισραηλ οὐ διεφώνησεν οὐδὲ εἷς· καὶ ὤφθησαν ἐν τῷ τόπῳ τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ἔφαγον καὶ ἔπιον.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And of the chosen onesⓘ of Israèl not even one failedⓘ; and they appearedⓘ in the place of Godⓘ, and they ate and drank.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And upon the notablesⓘ of the children of Israèl he did not stretch out his handⓘ; and they beheld Godⓘ, and they ate and drankⓘ.

ויאמר יהוה אל משה עלה אלי ההרה והיה שם ואתנה לך את לחת האבן והתורה והמצוה אשר כתבתי להורתם
καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Ἀνάβηθι πρός με εἰς τὸ ὄρος καὶ ἴσθι ἐκεῖ· καὶ δώσω σοι τὰ πυξία τὰ λίθινα, τὸν νόμον καὶ τὰς ἐντολάς, ἃς ἔγραψα νομοθετῆσαι αὐτοῖς.
And the Tetragrammatonⓘ said to Moshè: «Go up to me on the mountain and stay there, and I will give you the tablets of stoneⓘ, the toràh and the mitzwàhⓘ that I have written to instruct them».

ויקם משה ויהושע משרתו ויעל משה אל הר האלהים
καὶ ἀναστὰς Μωϋσῆς καὶ Ἰησοῦς ὁ παρεστηκὼς αὐτῷ ἀνέβησαν εἰς τὸ ὄρος τοῦ θεοῦ·
And Moshè rose up and Yehoshùaⓘ his attendantⓘ, and Moshè went up to the mountain of God.

ואל הזקנים אמר שבו לנו בזה עד אשר נשוב אליכם והנה אהרן וחור עמכם מי בעל דברים יגש אלהם
καὶ τοῖς πρεσβυτέροις εἶπαν Ἡσυχάζετε αὐτοῦ, ἕως ἀναστρέψωμεν πρὸς ὑμᾶς· καὶ ἰδοὺ Ααρων καὶ Ωρ μεθ’ ὑμῶν· ἐάν τινι συμβῇ κρίσις, προσπορευέσθωσαν αὐτοῖς.
And to the elders he said: «Stay here for us until we return to you; and behold Aharòn and Churⓘ are with you: whoever has a disputeⓘ let him draw near to them».

ויעל משה אל ההר ויכס הענן את ההר
καὶ ἀνέβη Μωϋσῆς καὶ Ἰησοῦς εἰς τὸ ὄρος, καὶ ἐκάλυψεν ἡ νεφέλη τὸ ὄρος.
And Moshè went up to the mountain, and the cloudⓘ covered the mountain.

וישכן כבוד יהוה על הר סיני ויכסהו הענן ששת ימים ויקרא אל משה ביום השביעי מתוך הענן
καὶ κατέβη ἡ δόξα τοῦ θεοῦ ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος τὸ Σινα, καὶ ἐκάλυψεν αὐτὸ ἡ νεφέλη ἓξ ἡμέρας· καὶ ἐκάλεσεν κύριος τὸν Μωυσῆν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ ἐκ μέσου τῆς νεφέλης.
And the kavòdⓘ of the Tetragrammatonⓘ dwelt upon mount Sinài, and the cloud covered it six daysⓘ; and he called Moshè on the seventh day from the midst of the cloud.

ומראה כבוד יהוה כאש אכלת בראש ההר לעיני בני ישראל
τὸ δὲ εἶδος τῆς δόξης κυρίου ὡσεὶ πῦρ φλέγον ἐπὶ τῆς κορυφῆς τοῦ ὄρους ἐναντίον τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ.
And the appearance of the kavòd of the Tetragrammatonⓘ was like devouring fireⓘ on the top of the mountain, in the eyes of the children of Israèl.

ויבא משה בתוך הענן ויעל אל ההר ויהי משה בהר ארבעים יום וארבעים לילה
καὶ εἰσῆλθεν Μωϋσῆς εἰς τὸ μέσον τῆς νεφέλης καὶ ἀνέβη εἰς τὸ ὄρος καὶ ἦν ἐκεῖ ἐν τῷ ὄρει τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας.
And Moshè came within the cloud and went up to the mountain; and Moshè was on the mountain forty days and forty nightsⓘ.
