וידבר אלהים את כל הדברים האלה לאמר
Καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πάντας τοὺς λόγους τούτους λέγων
And ⓘ spoke all these ⓘ:

אנכי יהוה אלהיך אשר הוצאתיך מארץ מצרים מבית עבדים
Ἐγώ εἰμι κύριος ὁ θεός σου, ὅστις ἐξήγαγόν σε ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου ἐξ οἴκου δουλείας.
«ⓘ the Tetragrammaton your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of a ⓘ.

לא יהיה לך אלהים אחרים על פני
οὐκ ἔσονταί σοι θεοὶ ἕτεροι πλὴν ἐμοῦ. –
You shall have no other gods ⓘ.
4
לא תעשה לך פסל וכל תמונה אשר בשמים ממעל ואשר בארץ מתחת ואשר במים מתחת לארץ
οὐ ποιήσεις σεαυτῷ εἴδωλον οὐδὲ παντὸς ὁμοίωμα, ὅσα ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ ἄνω καὶ ὅσα ἐν τῇ γῇ κάτω καὶ ὅσα ἐν τοῖς ὕδασιν ὑποκάτω τῆς γῆς.
You shall not make for yourself any ⓘ or ⓘ of anything that is in the heavens above, on the earth below, or in the waters under the earth.

לא תשתחוה להם ולא תעבדם כי אנכי יהוה אלהיך אל קנא פקד עון אבת על בנים על שלשים ועל רבעים לשנאי
οὐ προσκυνήσεις αὐτοῖς οὐδὲ μὴ λατρεύσῃς αὐτοῖς· ἐγὼ γάρ εἰμι κύριος ὁ θεός σου, θεὸς ζηλωτὴς ἀποδιδοὺς ἁμαρτίας πατέρων ἐπὶ τέκνα ἕως τρίτης καὶ τετάρτης γενεᾶς τοῖς μισοῦσίν με
You shall not bow down to them nor serve them; I am the Tetragrammaton your God, ⓘ, who punishes the guilt of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

ועשה חסד לאלפים לאהבי ולשמרי מצותי
καὶ ποιῶν ἔλεος εἰς χιλιάδας τοῖς ἀγαπῶσίν με καὶ τοῖς φυλάσσουσιν τὰ προστάγματά μου. –
and who shows ⓘ to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my ⓘ.

לא תשא את שם יהוה אלהיך לשוא כי לא ינקה יהוה את אשר ישא את שמו לשוא
οὐ λήμψῃ τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου ἐπὶ ματαίῳ· οὐ γὰρ μὴ καθαρίσῃ κύριος τὸν λαμβάνοντα τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ ματαίῳ. –
You shall not take the Name of the Tetragrammaton your God ⓘ, for the Tetragrammaton will not hold guiltless one who takes his Name in vain.

זכור את יום השבת לקדשו
μνήσθητι τὴν ἡμέραν τῶν σαββάτων ἁγιάζειν αὐτήν.
ⓘ the sabbath day to ⓘ.

ששת ימים תעבד ועשית כל מלאכתך
ἓξ ἡμέρας ἐργᾷ καὶ ποιήσεις πάντα τὰ ἔργα σου·
Six days you shall labor and do all your work;

ויום השביעי שבת ליהוה אלהיך לא תעשה כל מלאכה אתה ובנך ובתך עבדך ואמתך ובהמתך וגרך אשר בשעריך
τῇ δὲ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ σάββατα κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σου· οὐ ποιήσεις ἐν αὐτῇ πᾶν ἔργον, σὺ καὶ ὁ υἱός σου καὶ ἡ θυγάτηρ σου, ὁ παῖς σου καὶ ἡ παιδίσκη σου, ὁ βοῦς σου καὶ τὸ ὑποζύγιόν σου καὶ πᾶν κτῆνός σου καὶ ὁ προσήλυτος ὁ παροικῶν ἐν σοί.
but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Tetragrammaton your God: you shall do no work, you, your son and your daughter, your manservant and your maidservant, your cattle and the ⓘ who is within your gates.

כי ששת ימים עשה יהוה את השמים ואת הארץ את הים ואת כל אשר בם וינח ביום השביעי על כן ברך יהוה את יום השבת ויקדשהו
ἐν γὰρ ἓξ ἡμέραις ἐποίησεν κύριος τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ κατέπαυσεν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ· διὰ τοῦτο εὐλόγησεν κύριος τὴν ἡμέραν τὴν ἑβδόμην καὶ ἡγίασεν αὐτήν. –
For in six days the Tetragrammaton made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them, and ⓘ on the seventh day; therefore the Tetragrammaton blessed the sabbath day and hallowed it.

כבד את אביך ואת אמך למען יארכון ימיך על האדמה אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך
τίμα τὸν πατέρα σου καὶ τὴν μητέρα, ἵνα εὖ σοι γένηται, καὶ ἵνα μακροχρόνιος γένῃ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς τῆς ἀγαθῆς, ἧς κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι. –
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——ⓘ, ⓘ and that you may be ⓘ upon the ⓘ that the Tetragrammaton your God gives you.—— Masoretic (MT) ——ⓘ, ⓘ and that your days may be long upon the ⓘ that the Tetragrammaton your God gives you.

לא תענה ברעך עד שקר
οὐ ψευδομαρτυρήσεις κατὰ τοῦ πλησίον σου μαρτυρίαν ψευδῆ. –
You shall not bear ⓘ witness against your neighbor.
17
לא תחמד בית רעך לא תחמד אשת רעך ועבדו ואמתו ושורו וחמרו וכל אשר לרעך
οὐκ ἐπιθυμήσεις τὴν γυναῖκα τοῦ πλησίον σου. οὐκ ἐπιθυμήσεις τὴν οἰκίαν τοῦ πλησίον σου οὔτε τὸν ἀγρὸν αὐτοῦ οὔτε τὸν παῖδα αὐτοῦ οὔτε τὴν παιδίσκην αὐτοῦ οὔτε τοῦ βοὸς αὐτοῦ οὔτε τοῦ ὑποζυγίου αὐτοῦ οὔτε παντὸς κτήνους αὐτοῦ οὔτε ὅσα τῷ πλησίον σού ἐστιν.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——You shall not ⓘ your neighbor's wife. ⓘ of your neighbor, nor his ⓘ, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ⓘ, nor any head of his cattle, nor anything that belongs to your neighbor.—— Masoretic (MT) ——You shall not ⓘ your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ⓘ, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything of your neighbor's».

וכל העם ראים את הקולת ואת הלפידם ואת קול השפר ואת ההר עשן וירא העם וינעו ויעמדו מרחק
Καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἑώρα τὴν φωνὴν καὶ τὰς λαμπάδας καὶ τὴν φωνὴν τῆς σάλπιγγος καὶ τὸ ὄρος τὸ καπνίζον· φοβηθέντες δὲ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἔστησαν μακρόθεν.
And all the people ⓘ, the flames, the sound of the ⓘ, and the smoking mountain; and, terrified, the people ⓘ and stood far off.

ויאמרו אל משה דבר אתה עמנו ונשמעה ואל ידבר עמנו אלהים פן נמות
καὶ εἶπαν πρὸς Μωυσῆν Λάλησον σὺ ἡμῖν, καὶ μὴ λαλείτω πρὸς ἡμᾶς ὁ θεός, μήποτε ἀποθάνωμεν.
And they said to Moses: «Speak you to us and we will listen, but let not ⓘ speak to us, lest we die».

ויאמר משה אל העם אל תיראו כי לבעבור נסות אתכם בא האלהים ובעבור תהיה יראתו על פניכם לבלתי תחטאו
καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς Μωϋσῆς Θαρσεῖτε· ἕνεκεν γὰρ τοῦ πειράσαι ὑμᾶς παρεγενήθη ὁ θεὸς πρὸς ὑμᾶς, ὅπως ἂν γένηται ὁ φόβος αὐτοῦ ἐν ὑμῖν, ἵνα μὴ ἁμαρτάνητε.
And Moses said to them: «ⓘ; God has come to ⓘ and so that the fear of him may be upon you, that you may not sin».

ויעמד העם מרחק ומשה נגש אל הערפל אשר שם האלהים
εἱστήκει δὲ ὁ λαὸς μακρόθεν, Μωϋσῆς δὲ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸν γνόφον, οὗ ἦν ὁ θεός.
And the people stood far off, while Moses drew near to the ⓘ where God was.
22
ויאמר יהוה אל משה כה תאמר אל בני ישראל אתם ראיתם כי מן השמים דברתי עמכם
Εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Τάδε ἐρεῖς τῷ οἴκῳ Ιακωβ καὶ ἀναγγελεῖς τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ Ὑμεῖς ἑωράκατε ὅτι ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ λελάληκα πρὸς ὑμᾶς·
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And the Tetragrammaton said to Moses: «Thus you shall say to the ⓘ and ⓘ to the children of Israel: You have seen that ⓘ I have spoken to you;—— Masoretic (MT) ——And the Tetragrammaton said to Moses: «Thus you shall say to the ⓘ and announce to the children of Israel: You have seen that ⓘ I have spoken with you;

לא תעשון אתי אלהי כסף ואלהי זהב לא תעשו לכם
οὐ ποιήσετε ἑαυτοῖς θεοὺς ἀργυροῦς καὶ θεοὺς χρυσοῦς οὐ ποιήσετε ὑμῖν αὐτοῖς.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——You shall not make for yourselves ⓘ nor gods of gold: you shall not make them ⓘ.—— Masoretic (MT) ——you shall not make ⓘ gods of silver nor gods of gold, you shall not make them for yourselves.

מזבח אדמה תעשה לי וזבחת עליו את עלתיך ואת שלמיך את צאנך ואת בקרך בכל המקום אשר אזכיר את שמי אבוא אליך וברכתיך
θυσιαστήριον ἐκ γῆς ποιήσετέ μοι καὶ θύσετε ἐπ’ αὐτοῦ τὰ ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ τὰ σωτήρια ὑμῶν, τὰ πρόβατα καὶ τοὺς μόσχους ὑμῶν ἐν παντὶ τόπῳ, οὗ ἐὰν ἐπονομάσω τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐκεῖ, καὶ ἥξω πρὸς σὲ καὶ εὐλογήσω σε.
You shall make me an ⓘ and shall offer upon it your ⓘ and your ⓘ, the sheep and the oxen, in every place where I will cause my Name to be remembered; I will come to you and bless you.
25
ואם מזבח אבנים תעשה לי לא תבנה אתהן גזית כי חרבך הנפת עליה ותחללה
ἐὰν δὲ θυσιαστήριον ἐκ λίθων ποιῇς μοι, οὐκ οἰκοδομήσεις αὐτοὺς τμητούς· τὸ γὰρ ἐγχειρίδιόν σου ἐπιβέβληκας ἐπ’ αὐτούς, καὶ μεμίανται.
And if you make me an altar of stones, you shall not build them hewn with iron: by raising upon them ⓘ you would profane them.
26
ולא תעלה במעלת על מזבחי אשר לא תגלה ערותך עליו
οὐκ ἀναβήσῃ ἐν ἀναβαθμίσιν ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριόν μου, ὅπως ἂν μὴ ἀποκαλύψῃς τὴν ἀσχημοσύνην σου ἐπ’ αὐτοῦ.
Nor shall you go up by steps to my altar, that your ⓘ be not uncovered upon it».
