ויאמר יהוה אל משה בא אל פרעה כי אני הכבדתי את לבו ואת לב עבדיו למען שתי אתתי אלה בקרבו
Εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων Εἴσελθε πρὸς Φαραω· ἐγὼ γὰρ ἐσκλήρυνα αὐτοῦ τὴν καρδίαν καὶ τῶν θεραπόντων αὐτοῦ, ἵνα ἑξῆς ἐπέλθῃ τὰ σημεῖα ταῦτα ἐπ’ αὐτούς·
And the ⓘ said to Moshèh: «Go to Pharaoh, for ⓘ his heart and the heart of his servants, so that I may set ⓘ in his midst;

ולמען תספר באזני בנך ובן בנך את אשר התעללתי במצרים ואת אתתי אשר שמתי בם וידעתם כי אני יהוה
ὅπως διηγήσησθε εἰς τὰ ὦτα τῶν τέκνων ὑμῶν καὶ τοῖς τέκνοις τῶν τέκνων ὑμῶν ὅσα ἐμπέπαιχα τοῖς Αἰγυπτίοις, καὶ τὰ σημεῖά μου, ἃ ἐποίησα ἐν αὐτοῖς, καὶ γνώσεσθε ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος.
and so that you may ⓘ in the ears of your son and of your son's son how ⓘ of the Egyptians, and my signs which I have set among them; and you shall know that I am the ⓘ».

ויבא משה ואהרן אל פרעה ויאמרו אליו כה אמר יהוה אלהי העברים עד מתי מאנת לענת מפני שלח עמי ויעבדני
εἰσῆλθεν δὲ Μωϋσῆς καὶ Ααρων ἐναντίον Φαραω καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ Τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν Εβραίων Ἕως τίνος οὐ βούλει ἐντραπῆναί με; ἐξαπόστειλον τὸν λαόν μου, ἵνα λατρεύσωσίν μοι.
Moshèh and Aharòn came to Pharaoh and said to him: «Thus has said the ⓘ, God of the ⓘ: how long have you refused to ⓘ before me? Send my people that they may serve me.

כי אם מאן אתה לשלח את עמי הנני מביא מחר ארבה בגבלך
ἐὰν δὲ μὴ θέλῃς σὺ ἐξαποστεῖλαι τὸν λαόν μου, ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπάγω ταύτην τὴν ὥραν αὔριον ἀκρίδα πολλὴν ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ὅριά σου,
For if you refuse to send my people, behold, tomorrow I bring ⓘ into your territory,

וכסה את עין הארץ ולא יוכל לראת את הארץ ואכל את יתר הפלטה הנשארת לכם מן הברד ואכל את כל העץ הצמח לכם מן השדה
καὶ καλύψει τὴν ὄψιν τῆς γῆς, καὶ οὐ δυνήσῃ κατιδεῖν τὴν γῆν, καὶ κατέδεται πᾶν τὸ περισσὸν τῆς γῆς τὸ καταλειφθέν, ὃ κατέλιπεν ὑμῖν ἡ χάλαζα, καὶ κατέδεται πᾶν ξύλον τὸ φυόμενον ὑμῖν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς·
and it shall cover ⓘ of the land so that one cannot see the land; and it shall eat the remnant of the ⓘ, what remains to you from the hail, and it shall eat every tree that grows for you in the field.

ומלאו בתיך ובתי כל עבדיך ובתי כל מצרים אשר לא ראו אבתיך ואבות אבתיך מיום היותם על האדמה עד היום הזה ויפן ויצא מעם פרעה
καὶ πλησθήσονταί σου αἱ οἰκίαι καὶ αἱ οἰκίαι τῶν θεραπόντων σου καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ οἰκίαι ἐν πάσῃ γῇ τῶν Αἰγυπτίων, ἃ οὐδέποτε ἑωράκασιν οἱ πατέρες σου οὐδὲ οἱ πρόπαπποι αὐτῶν ἀφ’ ἧς ἡμέρας γεγόνασιν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης. καὶ ἐκκλίνας Μωϋσῆς ἐξῆλθεν ἀπὸ Φαραω.
And your houses shall be filled, and the houses of all your servants, and the houses of all Egypt, such as your fathers ⓘ have not seen from the day of their being upon the earth until this day». And he turned and went out from the presence of Pharaoh.

ויאמרו עבדי פרעה אליו עד מתי יהיה זה לנו למוקש שלח את האנשים ויעבדו את יהוה אלהיהם הטרם תדע כי אבדה מצרים
καὶ λέγουσιν οἱ θεράποντες Φαραω πρὸς αὐτόν Ἕως τίνος ἔσται τοῦτο ἡμῖν σκῶλον; ἐξαπόστειλον τοὺς ἀνθρώπους, ὅπως λατρεύσωσιν τῷ θεῷ αὐτῶν· ἢ εἰδέναι βούλει ὅτι ἀπόλωλεν Αἴγυπτος;
The servants of Pharaoh said to him: «How long shall this man be for us a ⓘ? Send these men that they may serve the ⓘ their God. Do you not yet know that Egypt is lost?».

ויושב את משה ואת אהרן אל פרעה ויאמר אלהם לכו עבדו את יהוה אלהיכם מי ומי ההלכים
καὶ ἀπέστρεψαν τόν τε Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων πρὸς Φαραω, καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Πορεύεσθε καὶ λατρεύσατε τῷ θεῷ ὑμῶν· τίνες δὲ καὶ τίνες εἰσὶν οἱ πορευόμενοι;
Moshèh and Aharòn were brought back to Pharaoh, and he said to them: «Go, serve the ⓘ your God. Who and who are those who shall go?».

ויאמר משה בנערינו ובזקנינו נלך בבנינו ובבנותנו בצאננו ובבקרנו נלך כי חג יהוה לנו
καὶ λέγει Μωϋσῆς Σὺν τοῖς νεανίσκοις καὶ πρεσβυτέροις πορευσόμεθα, σὺν τοῖς υἱοῖς καὶ θυγατράσιν καὶ προβάτοις καὶ βουσὶν ἡμῶν· ἔστιν γὰρ ἑορτὴ κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν.
Moshèh said: «With our young and with our elders we shall go; with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our cattle we shall go, for the ⓘ of the ⓘ is for us».

ויאמר אלהם יהי כן יהוה עמכם כאשר אשלח אתכם ואת טפכם ראו כי רעה נגד פניכם
καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς Ἔστω οὕτως, κύριος μεθ’ ὑμῶν· καθότι ἀποστέλλω ὑμᾶς, μὴ καὶ τὴν ἀποσκευὴν ὑμῶν; ἴδετε ὅτι πονηρία πρόκειται ὑμῖν.
He said to them: «So be the ⓘ with you, as I will send you off, you with your little ones! Look: evil is before your face!

לא כן לכו נא הגברים ועבדו את יהוה כי אתה אתם מבקשים ויגרש אתם מאת פני פרעה
μὴ οὕτως· πορευέσθωσαν δὲ οἱ ἄνδρες, καὶ λατρεύσατε τῷ θεῷ· τοῦτο γὰρ αὐτοὶ ζητεῖτε. ἐξέβαλον δὲ αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ προσώπου Φαραω. –
It shall not be so: let the men go and serve the ⓘ, for that is what you seek». And he ⓘ from the presence of Pharaoh.

ויאמר יהוה אל משה נטה ידך על ארץ מצרים בארבה ויעל על ארץ מצרים ויאכל את כל עשב הארץ את כל אשר השאיר הברד
εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Ἔκτεινον τὴν χεῖρα ἐπὶ γῆν Αἰγύπτου, καὶ ἀναβήτω ἀκρὶς ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ κατέδεται πᾶσαν βοτάνην τῆς γῆς καὶ πάντα τὸν καρπὸν τῶν ξύλων, ὃν ὑπελίπετο ἡ χάλαζα.
The ⓘ said to Moshèh: «ⓘ your hand over the land of Egypt for the arbèh, that it may come up over the land of Egypt and eat every herb of the land, all that the hail has left».

ויט משה את מטהו על ארץ מצרים ויהוה נהג רוח קדים בארץ כל היום ההוא וכל הלילה הבקר היה ורוח הקדים נשא את הארבה
καὶ ἐπῆρεν Μωϋσῆς τὴν ῥάβδον εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν, καὶ κύριος ἐπήγαγεν ἄνεμον νότον ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν ἐκείνην καὶ ὅλην τὴν νύκτα· τὸ πρωῒ ἐγενήθη, καὶ ὁ ἄνεμος ὁ νότος ἀνέλαβεν τὴν ἀκρίδα
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And Moshèh ⓘ, and the ⓘ brought a ⓘ over the land for all that day and all the night; the morning came, and the south wind ⓘ the locust.—— Masoretic (MT) ——Moshèh stretched out his staff over the land of Egypt, and the ⓘ ⓘ an ⓘ over the land for all that day and all that night; when it was morning, the east wind ⓘ the arbèh.

ויעל הארבה על כל ארץ מצרים וינח בכל גבול מצרים כבד מאד לפניו לא היה כן ארבה כמהו ואחריו לא יהיה כן
καὶ ἀνήγαγεν αὐτὴν ἐπὶ πᾶσαν γῆν Αἰγύπτου, καὶ κατέπαυσεν ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ὅρια Αἰγύπτου πολλὴ σφόδρα· προτέρα αὐτῆς οὐ γέγονεν τοιαύτη ἀκρὶς καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα οὐκ ἔσται οὕτως.
The arbèh came up over all the land of Egypt and ⓘ throughout all the territory of Egypt, ⓘ: before this there had not been an arbèh like it, and after it there shall not be such.

ויכס את עין כל הארץ ותחשך הארץ ויאכל את כל עשב הארץ ואת כל פרי העץ אשר הותיר הברד ולא נותר כל ירק בעץ ובעשב השדה בכל ארץ מצרים
καὶ ἐκάλυψεν τὴν ὄψιν τῆς γῆς, καὶ ἐφθάρη ἡ γῆ· καὶ κατέφαγεν πᾶσαν βοτάνην τῆς γῆς καὶ πάντα τὸν καρπὸν τῶν ξύλων, ὃς ὑπελείφθη ἀπὸ τῆς χαλάζης· οὐχ ὑπελείφθη χλωρὸν οὐδὲν ἐν τοῖς ξύλοις καὶ ἐν πάσῃ βοτάνῃ τοῦ πεδίου ἐν πάσῃ γῇ Αἰγύπτου.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And it covered the face of all the land, and ⓘ; and it devoured every herb of the land and every fruit of the trees which the hail had left, and nothing green remained, neither on the trees nor among any herb of the plain, in all the land of Egypt.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And it covered the eye of all the land, and the land was darkened; and it ate every herb of the land and every fruit of the tree that the hail had left, and ⓘ on the trees nor in the herb of the field in all the land of Egypt.

וימהר פרעה לקרא למשה ולאהרן ויאמר חטאתי ליהוה אלהיכם ולכם
κατέσπευδεν δὲ Φαραω καλέσαι Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων λέγων Ἡμάρτηκα ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν καὶ εἰς ὑμᾶς·
Pharaoh hastened to call Moshèh and Aharòn and said: «ⓘ against the ⓘ your God and against you.
17
ועתה שא נא חטאתי אך הפעם והעתירו ליהוה אלהיכם ויסר מעלי רק את המות הזה
προσδέξασθε οὖν μου τὴν ἁμαρτίαν ἔτι νῦν καὶ προσεύξασθε πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεὸν ὑμῶν, καὶ περιελέτω ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ τὸν θάνατον τοῦτον.
And now ⓘ, I pray you, my sin only this once, and ⓘ to the ⓘ your God, that he may remove from me only this death».

ויצא מעם פרעה ויעתר אל יהוה
ἐξῆλθεν δὲ Μωϋσῆς ἀπὸ Φαραω καὶ ηὔξατο πρὸς τὸν θεόν.
He went out from the presence of Pharaoh and ⓘ to the ⓘ.
19
ויהפך יהוה רוח ים חזק מאד וישא את הארבה ויתקעהו ימה סוף לא נשאר ארבה אחד בכל גבול מצרים
καὶ μετέβαλεν κύριος ἄνεμον ἀπὸ θαλάσσης σφοδρόν, καὶ ἀνέλαβεν τὴν ἀκρίδα καὶ ἐνέβαλεν αὐτὴν εἰς τὴν ἐρυθρὰν θάλασσαν, καὶ οὐχ ὑπελείφθη ἀκρὶς μία ἐν πάσῃ γῇ Αἰγύπτου.
The ⓘ ⓘ a ⓘ very strong, and it lifted the arbèh and ⓘ it into the ⓘ; not a single arbèh remained in all the territory of Egypt.
20
ויחזק יהוה את לב פרעה ולא שלח את בני ישראל
καὶ ἐσκλήρυνεν κύριος τὴν καρδίαν Φαραω, καὶ οὐκ ἐξαπέστειλεν τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ.
The ⓘ ⓘ the heart of Pharaoh, and he did not send the children of Israel.
21
ויאמר יהוה אל משה נטה ידך על השמים ויהי חשך על ארץ מצרים וימש חשך
Εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Ἔκτεινον τὴν χεῖρά σου εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν, καὶ γενηθήτω σκότος ἐπὶ γῆν Αἰγύπτου, ψηλαφητὸν σκότος.
The ⓘ said to Moshèh: «Stretch out your hand toward the heavens, that there may be ⓘ over the land of Egypt, ⓘ».

ויט משה את ידו על השמים ויהי חשך אפלה בכל ארץ מצרים שלשת ימים
ἐξέτεινεν δὲ Μωϋσῆς τὴν χεῖρα εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν, καὶ ἐγένετο σκότος γνόφος θύελλα ἐπὶ πᾶσαν γῆν Αἰγύπτου τρεῖς ἡμέρας,
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——Moshèh ⓘ, and there was ⓘ over all the land of Egypt for three days.—— Masoretic (MT) ——Moshèh stretched out his hand toward the heavens, and there was ⓘ in all the land of Egypt for ⓘ.

לא ראו איש את אחיו ולא קמו איש מתחתיו שלשת ימים ולכל בני ישראל היה אור במושבתם
καὶ οὐκ εἶδεν οὐδεὶς τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ τρεῖς ἡμέρας, καὶ οὐκ ἐξανέστη οὐδεὶς ἐκ τῆς κοίτης αὐτοῦ τρεῖς ἡμέρας· πᾶσι δὲ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ἦν φῶς ἐν πᾶσιν, οἷς κατεγίνοντο.
No one saw his brother, nor did anyone rise from his place for three days; but for all the children of Israel there was ⓘ in their ⓘ.
24
ויקרא פרעה אל משה ויאמר לכו עבדו את יהוה רק צאנכם ובקרכם יצג גם טפכם ילך עמכם
καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Φαραω Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων λέγων Βαδίζετε, λατρεύσατε κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ὑμῶν· πλὴν τῶν προβάτων καὶ τῶν βοῶν ὑπολίπεσθε· καὶ ἡ ἀποσκευὴ ὑμῶν ἀποτρεχέτω μεθ’ ὑμῶν.
Pharaoh called Moshèh and said: «Go, serve the ⓘ; only let your sheep and your cattle ⓘ; even your little ones shall go with you».
25
ויאמר משה גם אתה תתן בידנו זבחים ועלות ועשינו ליהוה אלהינו
καὶ εἶπεν Μωϋσῆς Ἀλλὰ καὶ σὺ δώσεις ἡμῖν ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ θυσίας, ἃ ποιήσομεν κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν,
Moshèh said: «You too must put into our hands ⓘ and ⓘ, and we shall offer them to the ⓘ our God.
26
וגם מקננו ילך עמנו לא תשאר פרסה כי ממנו נקח לעבד את יהוה אלהינו ואנחנו לא נדע מה נעבד את יהוה עד באנו שמה
καὶ τὰ κτήνη ἡμῶν πορεύσεται μεθ’ ἡμῶν, καὶ οὐχ ὑπολειψόμεθα ὁπλήν· ἀπ’ αὐτῶν γὰρ λημψόμεθα λατρεῦσαι κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν· ἡμεῖς δὲ οὐκ οἴδαμεν, τί λατρεύσωμεν κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν, ἕως τοῦ ἐλθεῖν ἡμᾶς ἐκεῖ.
And our ⓘ too shall go with us: ⓘ; from it we shall take to serve the ⓘ our God, and we ourselves do not know with what we shall serve the ⓘ until we arrive there».
27
ויחזק יהוה את לב פרעה ולא אבה לשלחם
ἐσκλήρυνεν δὲ κύριος τὴν καρδίαν Φαραω, καὶ οὐκ ἐβουλήθη ἐξαποστεῖλαι αὐτούς.
The ⓘ made hard the heart of Pharaoh, and he ⓘ send them.
28
ויאמר לו פרעה לך מעלי השמר לך אל תסף ראות פני כי ביום ראתך פני תמות
καὶ λέγει Φαραω Ἄπελθε ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ, πρόσεχε σεαυτῷ ἔτι προσθεῖναι ἰδεῖν μου τὸ πρόσωπον· ᾗ δ’ ἂν ἡμέρᾳ ὀφθῇς μοι, ἀποθανῇ.
Pharaoh said to him: «Go away from me! Take heed to yourself: do not add to see my face again, for on the day in which ⓘ».
29
ויאמר משה כן דברת לא אסף עוד ראות פניך
λέγει δὲ Μωϋσῆς Εἴρηκας· οὐκέτι ὀφθήσομαί σοι εἰς πρόσωπον.
Moshèh said: «ⓘ: I shall add no more to see your face».
