וירא העם כי בשש משה לרדת מן ההר ויקהל העם על אהרן ויאמרו אליו קום עשה לנו אלהים אשר ילכו לפנינו כי זה משה האיש אשר העלנו מארץ מצרים לא ידענו מה היה לו
Καὶ ἰδὼν ὁ λαὸς ὅτι κεχρόνικεν Μωϋσῆς καταβῆναι ἐκ τοῦ ὄρους, συνέστη ὁ λαὸς ἐπὶ Ααρων καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ Ἀνάστηθι καὶ ποίησον ἡμῖν θεούς, οἳ προπορεύσονται ἡμῶν· ὁ γὰρ Μωϋσῆς οὗτος ὁ ἄνθρωπος, ὃς ἐξήγαγεν ἡμᾶς ἐξ Αἰγύπτου, οὐκ οἴδαμεν, τί γέγονεν αὐτῷ.
And the people saw that Moshè delayed to come down from the mountain, and the people gathered against Aharòn and said to him: «Arise, make us a deityⓘ that may go before us, for this Moshè, the man who brought us up from the land of Mitzràyim, we do not know what has become of himⓘ».

ויאמר אלהם אהרן פרקו נזמי הזהב אשר באזני נשיכם בניכם ובנתיכם והביאו אלי
καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς Ααρων Περιέλεσθε τὰ ἐνώτια τὰ χρυσᾶ τὰ ἐν τοῖς ὠσὶν τῶν γυναικῶν ὑμῶν καὶ θυγατέρων καὶ ἐνέγκατε πρός με.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And Aaron says to them: «Take off the golden ringsⓘ that are on the ears of your wives and your daughtersⓘ and bring them to me».—— Masoretic (MT) ——And Aharòn said to them: «Tear off the golden ringsⓘ that are on the ears of your wives, your sons and your daughters, and bring them to me».

ויתפרקו כל העם את נזמי הזהב אשר באזניהם ויביאו אל אהרן
καὶ περιείλαντο πᾶς ὁ λαὸς τὰ ἐνώτια τὰ χρυσᾶ τὰ ἐν τοῖς ὠσὶν αὐτῶν καὶ ἤνεγκαν πρὸς Ααρων.
And all the people tore off the golden rings that were on their ears and brought them to Aharòn.

ויקח מידם ויצר אתו בחרט ויעשהו עגל מסכה ויאמרו אלה אלהיך ישראל אשר העלוך מארץ מצרים
καὶ ἐδέξατο ἐκ τῶν χειρῶν αὐτῶν καὶ ἔπλασεν αὐτὰ ἐν τῇ γραφίδι καὶ ἐποίησεν αὐτὰ μόσχον χωνευτὸν καὶ εἶπεν Οὗτοι οἱ θεοί σου, Ισραηλ, οἵτινες ἀνεβίβασάν σε ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου.
And he took them from their hand and fashioned it with the graving toolⓘ and made of it a calf of molten metalⓘ, and they said: «These are your elohìm, Israèl, who brought you up from the land of Mitzràyimⓘ».

וירא אהרן ויבן מזבח לפניו ויקרא אהרן ויאמר חג ליהוה מחר
καὶ ἰδὼν Ααρων ᾠκοδόμησεν θυσιαστήριον κατέναντι αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐκήρυξεν Ααρων λέγων Ἑορτὴ τοῦ κυρίου αὔριον.
And Aharòn saw and built an altar before it; and Aharòn proclaimed and said: «Tomorrow a feast to the Tetragrammatonⓘ».

וישכימו ממחרת ויעלו עלת ויגשו שלמים וישב העם לאכל ושתו ויקמו לצחק
καὶ ὀρθρίσας τῇ ἐπαύριον ἀνεβίβασεν ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ προσήνεγκεν θυσίαν σωτηρίου, καὶ ἐκάθισεν ὁ λαὸς φαγεῖν καὶ πιεῖν καὶ ἀνέστησαν παίζειν.
And they rose early the next day and offered up burnt offeringsⓘ and presented peace offeringsⓘ; and the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to make merryⓘ».

וידבר יהוה אל משה לך רד כי שחת עמך אשר העלית מארץ מצרים
Καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων Βάδιζε τὸ τάχος ἐντεῦθεν κατάβηθι· ἠνόμησεν γὰρ ὁ λαός σου, οὓς ἐξήγαγες ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου·
And the Tetragrammatonⓘ spoke to Moshè: «Go, go down, for your peopleⓘ that you brought up from the land of Mitzràyim has become corrupt.

סרו מהר מן הדרך אשר צויתם עשו להם עגל מסכה וישתחוו לו ויזבחו לו ויאמרו אלה אלהיך ישראל אשר העלוך מארץ מצרים
παρέβησαν ταχὺ ἐκ τῆς ὁδοῦ, ἧς ἐνετείλω αὐτοῖς· ἐποίησαν ἑαυτοῖς μόσχον καὶ προσκεκυνήκασιν αὐτῷ καὶ τεθύκασιν αὐτῷ καὶ εἶπαν Οὗτοι οἱ θεοί σου, Ισραηλ, οἵτινες ἀνεβίβασάν σε ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου.
They have turned asideⓘ quickly from the way that I had commanded them: they have made themselves a calf of molten metal and have bowed down to it and sacrificed to it and have said: These are your elohìm, Israèl, who brought you up from the land of Mitzràyim».
