ויכלו השמים והארץ וכל צבאם
Καὶ συνετελέσθησαν ὁ οὐρανὸς καὶ ἡ γῆ καὶ πᾶς ὁ κόσμος αὐτῶν.
And ⓘ the heavens and the earth and all their ⓘ.

ויכל אלהים ביום השביעי מלאכתו אשר עשה וישבת ביום השביעי מכל מלאכתו אשר עשה
καὶ συνετέλεσεν ὁ θεὸς ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἕκτῃ τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ, ἃ ἐποίησεν, καὶ κατέπαυσεν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἔργων αὐτοῦ, ὧν ἐποίησεν.

ויברך אלהים את יום השביעי ויקדש אתו כי בו שבת מכל מלאכתו אשר ברא אלהים לעשות
καὶ ηὐλόγησεν ὁ θεὸς τὴν ἡμέραν τὴν ἑβδόμην καὶ ἡγίασεν αὐτήν, ὅτι ἐν αὐτῇ κατέπαυσεν ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἔργων αὐτοῦ, ὧν ἤρξατο ὁ θεὸς ποιῆσαι.

אלה תולדות השמים והארץ בהבראם ביום עשות יהוה אלהים ארץ ושמים
Αὕτη ἡ βίβλος γενέσεως οὐρανοῦ καὶ γῆς, ὅτε ἐγένετο, ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐποίησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν
These are the ⓘ of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day when the ⓘ God made the heavens and the earth,

וכל שיח השדה טרם יהיה בארץ וכל עשב השדה טרם יצמח כי לא המטיר יהוה אלהים על הארץ ואדם אין לעבד את האדמה
καὶ πᾶν χλωρὸν ἀγροῦ πρὸ τοῦ γενέσθαι ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ πάντα χόρτον ἀγροῦ πρὸ τοῦ ἀνατεῖλαι· οὐ γὰρ ἔβρεξεν ὁ θεὸς ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν, καὶ ἄνθρωπος οὐκ ἦν ἐργάζεσθαι τὴν γῆν,
and every ⓘ before it was on the earth and every herb of the field before it sprang up; the ⓘ God had not made it rain upon the earth, and there was no man to till the ground.

ואד יעלה מן הארץ והשקה את כל פני האדמה
πηγὴ δὲ ἀνέβαινεν ἐκ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐπότιζεν πᾶν τὸ πρόσωπον τῆς γῆς.
And ⓘ rose from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.

וייצר יהוה אלהים את האדם עפר מן האדמה ויפח באפיו נשמת חיים ויהי האדם לנפש חיה
καὶ ἔπλασεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν ἄνθρωπον χοῦν ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐνεφύσησεν εἰς τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ πνοὴν ζωῆς, καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ ἄνθρωπος εἰς ψυχὴν ζῶσαν.
And ⓘ the ⓘ God the man, ⓘ, and ⓘ into his nostrils a ⓘ, and the man became a ⓘ.

ויטע יהוה אלהים גן בעדן מקדם וישם שם את האדם אשר יצר
Καὶ ἐφύτευσεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς παράδεισον ἐν Εδεμ κατὰ ἀνατολὰς καὶ ἔθετο ἐκεῖ τὸν ἄνθρωπον, ὃν ἔπλασεν.
And the ⓘ God planted a ⓘ in Eden to the east and there he set the man whom he had formed.

ויצמח יהוה אלהים מן האדמה כל עץ נחמד למראה וטוב למאכל ועץ החיים בתוך הגן ועץ הדעת טוב ורע
καὶ ἐξανέτειλεν ὁ θεὸς ἔτι ἐκ τῆς γῆς πᾶν ξύλον ὡραῖον εἰς ὅρασιν καὶ καλὸν εἰς βρῶσιν καὶ τὸ ξύλον τῆς ζωῆς ἐν μέσῳ τῷ παραδείσῳ καὶ τὸ ξύλον τοῦ εἰδέναι γνωστὸν καλοῦ καὶ πονηροῦ.
And the ⓘ God made to sprout from the earth every tree desirable to the sight and good for food, and the ⓘ in the midst of the garden and the ⓘ.

ונהר יצא מעדן להשקות את הגן ומשם יפרד והיה לארבעה ראשים
ποταμὸς δὲ ἐκπορεύεται ἐξ Εδεμ ποτίζειν τὸν παράδεισον· ἐκεῖθεν ἀφορίζεται εἰς τέσσαρας ἀρχάς.
And a river went out from Eden to water the garden; from there it divided and became ⓘ.

שם האחד פישון הוא הסבב את כל ארץ החוילה אשר שם הזהב
ὄνομα τῷ ἑνὶ Φισων· οὗτος ὁ κυκλῶν πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν Ευιλατ, ἐκεῖ οὗ ἐστιν τὸ χρυσίον·
The name of the first is ⓘ: this one encircles the whole land of ⓘ, there where the gold is.

וזהב הארץ ההוא טוב שם הבדלח ואבן השהם
τὸ δὲ χρυσίον τῆς γῆς ἐκείνης καλόν· καὶ ἐκεῖ ἐστιν ὁ ἄνθραξ καὶ ὁ λίθος ὁ πράσινος.
And the gold of that land is good; there is the ⓘ and the ⓘ.

ושם הנהר השני גיחון הוא הסובב את כל ארץ כוש
καὶ ὄνομα τῷ ποταμῷ τῷ δευτέρῳ Γηων· οὗτος ὁ κυκλῶν πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν Αἰθιοπίας.
And the name of the second river is ⓘ: this one encircles the whole land of ⓘ.

ושם הנהר השלישי חדקל הוא ההלך קדמת אשור והנהר הרביעי הוא פרת
καὶ ὁ ποταμὸς ὁ τρίτος Τίγρις· οὗτος ὁ πορευόμενος κατέναντι Ἀσσυρίων. ὁ δὲ ποταμὸς ὁ τέταρτος, οὗτος Εὐφράτης.
And the third river is the ⓘ: this one flows ⓘ. And the fourth river is the ⓘ.

ויקח יהוה אלהים את האדם וינחהו בגן עדן לעבדה ולשמרה
Καὶ ἔλαβεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς τὸν ἄνθρωπον, ὃν ἔπλασεν, καὶ ἔθετο αὐτὸν ἐν τῷ παραδείσῳ ἐργάζεσθαι αὐτὸν καὶ φυλάσσειν.
And the ⓘ God took the man and set him in the garden of Eden to ⓘ.

ויצו יהוה אלהים על האדם לאמר מכל עץ הגן אכל תאכל
καὶ ἐνετείλατο κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῷ Αδαμ λέγων Ἀπὸ παντὸς ξύλου τοῦ ἐν τῷ παραδείσῳ βρώσει φάγῃ,
And the ⓘ God ⓘ ⓘ saying: «From every tree that is in the garden you shall eat freely;
17
ומעץ הדעת טוב ורע לא תאכל ממנו כי ביום אכלך ממנו מות תמות
ἀπὸ δὲ τοῦ ξύλου τοῦ γινώσκειν καλὸν καὶ πονηρόν, οὐ φάγεσθε ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ· ᾗ δ’ ἂν ἡμέρᾳ φάγητε ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ, θανάτῳ ἀποθανεῖσθε.
but from the tree of the knowing of good and evil ⓘ; in the day in which you eat of it, ⓘ».

ויאמר יהוה אלהים לא טוב היות האדם לבדו אעשה לו עזר כנגדו
Καὶ εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεός Οὐ καλὸν εἶναι τὸν ἄνθρωπον μόνον· ποιήσωμεν αὐτῷ βοηθὸν κατ’ αὐτόν.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And the ⓘ God said: «It is not good that the man be alone; ⓘ».—— Masoretic (MT) ——And the ⓘ God said: «It is not good that the man be alone; ⓘ».

ויצר יהוה אלהים מן האדמה כל חית השדה ואת כל עוף השמים ויבא אל האדם לראות מה יקרא לו וכל אשר יקרא לו האדם נפש חיה הוא שמו
καὶ ἔπλασεν ὁ θεὸς ἔτι ἐκ τῆς γῆς πάντα τὰ θηρία τοῦ ἀγροῦ καὶ πάντα τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἤγαγεν αὐτὰ πρὸς τὸν Αδαμ ἰδεῖν, τί καλέσει αὐτά, καὶ πᾶν, ὃ ἐὰν ἐκάλεσεν αὐτὸ Αδαμ ψυχὴν ζῶσαν, τοῦτο ὄνομα αὐτοῦ.
And the ⓘ God formed from the earth all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the heavens and brought them ⓘ to see what he would call them, and whatever Adam called every living soul, that is its name.

ויקרא האדם שמות לכל הבהמה ולעוף השמים ולכל חית השדה ולאדם לא מצא עזר כנגדו
Καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Αδαμ ὀνόματα πᾶσιν τοῖς κτήνεσιν καὶ πᾶσι τοῖς πετεινοῖς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ πᾶσι τοῖς θηρίοις τοῦ ἀγροῦ, τῷ δὲ Αδαμ οὐχ εὑρέθη βοηθὸς ὅμοιος αὐτῷ. –
And Adam gave names to all the cattle and all the birds of the heavens and all the beasts of the field; but for Adam there was not found a ⓘ.

ויפל יהוה אלהים תרדמה על האדם ויישן ויקח אחת מצלעתיו ויסגר בשר תחתנה
καὶ ἐπέβαλεν ὁ θεὸς ἔκστασιν ἐπὶ τὸν Αδαμ, καὶ ὕπνωσεν· καὶ ἔλαβεν μίαν τῶν πλευρῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀνεπλήρωσεν σάρκα ἀντ αὐτῆς.
And the ⓘ God caused a ⓘ to fall upon Adam, and he slept; and he took one of his ⓘ and ⓘ the flesh in its place.
22
ויבן יהוה אלהים את הצלע אשר לקח מן האדם לאשה ויבאה אל האדם
καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς τὴν πλευράν, ἣν ἔλαβεν ἀπὸ τοῦ Αδαμ, εἰς γυναῖκα καὶ ἤγαγεν αὐτὴν πρὸς τὸν Αδαμ.
And the ⓘ God ⓘ the side that he had taken from Adam into a woman and brought her to Adam.

ויאמר האדם זאת הפעם עצם מעצמי ובשר מבשרי לזאת יקרא אשה כי מאיש לקחה זאת
καὶ εἶπεν Αδαμ Τοῦτο νῦν ὀστοῦν ἐκ τῶν ὀστέων μου καὶ σὰρξ ἐκ τῆς σαρκός μου· αὕτη κληθήσεται γυνή, ὅτι ἐκ τοῦ ἀνδρὸς αὐτῆς ἐλήμφθη αὕτη.
And Adam said: «This now is ⓘ; she shall be called ⓘ, because from her ⓘ she was taken».
24
על כן יעזב איש את אביו ואת אמו ודבק באשתו והיו לבשר אחד
ἕνεκεν τούτου καταλείψει ἄνθρωπος τὸν πατέρα αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ καὶ προσκολληθήσεται πρὸς τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔσονται οἱ δύο εἰς σάρκα μίαν.
Therefore ⓘ his father and his mother and ⓘ to his woman, and ⓘ.
25
ויהיו שניהם ערומים האדם ואשתו ולא יתבששו
καὶ ἦσαν οἱ δύο γυμνοί, ὅ τε Αδαμ καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ, καὶ οὐκ ᾐσχύνοντο.
And the two were ⓘ, Adam and his woman, and ⓘ.
