ויאמר יהוה לנח בא אתה וכל ביתך אל התבה כי אתך ראיתי צדיק לפני בדור הזה
Καὶ εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς πρὸς Νωε Εἴσελθε σὺ καὶ πᾶς ὁ οἶκός σου εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν, ὅτι σὲ εἶδον δίκαιον ἐναντίον μου ἐν τῇ γενεᾷ ταύτῃ.
And the Tetragrammatonⓘ said to Nòachⓘ: «Enter youⓘ and all your house into the tevàhⓘ, for you have I seen tzaddìqⓘ before me in this generation».

מכל הבהמה הטהורה תקח לך שבעה שבעה איש ואשתו ומן הבהמה אשר לא טהרה הוא שנים איש ואשתו
ἀπὸ δὲ τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν καθαρῶν εἰσάγαγε πρὸς σὲ ἑπτὰ ἑπτά, ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ, ἀπὸ δὲ τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν μὴ καθαρῶν δύο δύο, ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ,
Of all the cleanⓘ cattle take for yourself seven sevenⓘ, a man and his wifeⓘ; of the cattle that is not clean, two, a man and his wife.

גם מעוף השמים שבעה שבעה זכר ונקבה לחיות זרע על פני כל הארץ
καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν πετεινῶν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ τῶν καθαρῶν ἑπτὰ ἑπτά, ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ, καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν πετεινῶν τῶν μὴ καθαρῶν δύο δύο, ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ, διαθρέψαι σπέρμα ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν.

כי לימים עוד שבעה אנכי ממטיר על הארץ ארבעים יום וארבעים לילה ומחיתי את כל היקום אשר עשיתי מעל פני האדמה
ἔτι γὰρ ἡμερῶν ἑπτὰ ἐγὼ ἐπάγω ὑετὸν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας καὶ ἐξαλείψω πᾶσαν τὴν ἐξανάστασιν, ἣν ἐποίησα, ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς γῆς.
For yet seven daysⓘ and Iⓘ will make it rain upon the earth forty days and forty nightsⓘ; and I will blot outⓘ every yequmⓘ that I have made from the face of the adamàhⓘ.

ויעש נח ככל אשר צוהו יהוה
καὶ ἐποίησεν Νωε πάντα, ὅσα ἐνετείλατο αὐτῷ κύριος ὁ θεός.
And Nòach did according to all that the Tetragrammatonⓘ had commanded him.
6
ונח בן שש מאות שנה והמבול היה מים על הארץ
Νωε δὲ ἦν ἐτῶν ἑξακοσίων, καὶ ὁ κατακλυσμὸς ἐγένετο ὕδατος ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς.
And Nòach was a son of six hundred yearsⓘ when the mabbùlⓘ of waters was upon the earth.

ויבא נח ובניו ואשתו ונשי בניו אתו אל התבה מפני מי המבול
εἰσῆλθεν δὲ Νωε καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ μετ’ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν κιβωτὸν διὰ τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ κατακλυσμοῦ.
And Nòach entered, and his sons and his wife and the wives of his sons with him, into the tevàh, before the waters of the mabbùlⓘ.

מן הבהמה הטהורה ומן הבהמה אשר איננה טהרה ומן העוף וכל אשר רמש על האדמה
καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν πετεινῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν καθαρῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν μὴ καθαρῶν καὶ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἑρπετῶν τῶν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
Of the cleanⓘ cattle and of the cattle that is not clean, and of the bird and of all that creptⓘ upon the soil —

שנים שנים באו אל נח אל התבה זכר ונקבה כאשר צוה אלהים את נח
δύο δύο εἰσῆλθον πρὸς Νωε εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν, ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ, καθὰ ἐνετείλατο αὐτῷ ὁ θεός.
two by two they came to Nòach into the tevàh, male and female, as Elohìm had commandedⓘ Nòach.

ויהי לשבעת הימים ומי המבול היו על הארץ
καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τὰς ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας καὶ τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ κατακλυσμοῦ ἐγένετο ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς.
And it came to pass, after the seven daysⓘ, that the waters of the mabbùl were upon the earth.

בשנת שש מאות שנה לחיי נח בחדש השני בשבעה עשר יום לחדש ביום הזה נבקעו כל מעינת תהום רבה וארבת השמים נפתחו
ἐν τῷ ἑξακοσιοστῷ ἔτει ἐν τῇ ζωῇ τοῦ Νωε, τοῦ δευτέρου μηνός, ἑβδόμῃ καὶ εἰκάδι τοῦ μηνός, τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ ἐρράγησαν πᾶσαι αἱ πηγαὶ τῆς ἀβύσσου, καὶ οἱ καταρράκται τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἠνεῴχθησαν,
In the six hundredth year of the life of Nòachⓘ, in the secondⓘ month, on the seventeenth day of the monthⓘ — on that very day — were burst openⓘ all the fountains of the great deepⓘ and the windows of the heavensⓘ were opened.

ויהי הגשם על הארץ ארבעים יום וארבעים לילה
καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ ὑετὸς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας.
And the rain — ghèshemⓘ — was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

בעצם היום הזה בא נח ושם וחם ויפת בני נח ואשת נח ושלשת נשי בניו אתם אל התבה
ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ εἰσῆλθεν Νωε, Σημ, Χαμ, Ιαφεθ, υἱοὶ Νωε, καὶ ἡ γυνὴ Νωε καὶ αἱ τρεῖς γυναῖκες τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ μετ’ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν.
On that very dayⓘ Nòach entered, and Shèm and Chàm and Yèfetⓘ, sons of Nòach, and the wife of Nòach and the three wives of his sons with them, into the tevàh.

המה וכל החיה למינה וכל הבהמה למינה וכל הרמש הרמש על הארץ למינהו וכל העוף למינהו כל צפור כל כנף
καὶ πάντα τὰ θηρία κατὰ γένος καὶ πάντα τὰ κτήνη κατὰ γένος καὶ πᾶν ἑρπετὸν κινούμενον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς κατὰ γένος καὶ πᾶν πετεινὸν κατὰ γένος
They and every chayyàhⓘ according to its kindⓘ, every behemàh according to its kind, and every rèmeshⓘ that creeps creeping upon the earth according to its kind, and every bird according to its kind — every bird, every wing.

ויבאו אל נח אל התבה שנים שנים מכל הבשר אשר בו רוח חיים
εἰσῆλθον πρὸς Νωε εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν, δύο δύο ἀπὸ πάσης σαρκός, ἐν ᾧ ἐστιν πνεῦμα ζωῆς.
And they came to Nòach into the tevàh two by two of every basàrⓘ in which there was rùach chayyìmⓘ.

והבאים זכר ונקבה מכל בשר באו כאשר צוה אתו אלהים ויסגר יהוה בעדו
καὶ τὰ εἰσπορευόμενα ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ ἀπὸ πάσης σαρκὸς εἰσῆλθεν, καθὰ ἐνετείλατο ὁ θεὸς τῷ Νωε. καὶ ἔκλεισεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἔξωθεν αὐτοῦ τὴν κιβωτόν.
And those that came — male and female of every basàr — entered as Elohìmⓘ had commanded him; and the Tetragrammaton shut behind himⓘ — God himself set the seal.

ויהי המבול ארבעים יום על הארץ וירבו המים וישאו את התבה ותרם מעל הארץ
Καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ κατακλυσμὸς τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, καὶ ἐπληθύνθη τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ ἐπῆρεν τὴν κιβωτόν, καὶ ὑψώθη ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And the cataclysmⓘ came to pass for forty days and forty nightsⓘ upon the earth, and the water multipliedⓘ and lifted up the arkⓘ, and it was raisedⓘ from the earth.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And the mabbùl was forty days and forty nightsⓘ upon the earth; the waters grewⓘ and lifted up the tevàh, and it roseⓘ from the earth.

ויגברו המים וירבו מאד על הארץ ותלך התבה על פני המים
καὶ ἐπεκράτει τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ ἐπληθύνετο σφόδρα ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, καὶ ἐπεφέρετο ἡ κιβωτὸς ἐπάνω τοῦ ὕδατος.
The waters prevailedⓘ and grew greatly upon the earth, and the tevàh sailedⓘ upon the face of the waters.

והמים גברו מאד מאד על הארץ ויכסו כל ההרים הגבהים אשר תחת כל השמים
τὸ δὲ ὕδωρ ἐπεκράτει σφόδρα σφοδρῶς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐπεκάλυψεν πάντα τὰ ὄρη τὰ ὑψηλά, ἃ ἦν ὑποκάτω τοῦ οὐρανοῦ·
The waters prevailed very much, very muchⓘ upon the earth and covered all the high mountains that were under all the heaven.
20
חמש עשרה אמה מלמעלה גברו המים ויכסו ההרים
δέκα πέντε πήχεις ἐπάνω ὑψώθη τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ ἐπεκάλυψεν πάντα τὰ ὄρη τὰ ὑψηλά.
Fifteen cubitsⓘ upward did the waters prevailⓘ, and they covered the mountains.

ויגוע כל בשר הרמש על הארץ בעוף ובבהמה ובחיה ובכל השרץ השרץ על הארץ וכל האדם
καὶ ἀπέθανεν πᾶσα σὰρξ κινουμένη ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς τῶν πετεινῶν καὶ τῶν κτηνῶν καὶ τῶν θηρίων καὶ πᾶν ἑρπετὸν κινούμενον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ πᾶς ἄνθρωπος.
And expiredⓘ every basàr that crept upon the earth — among the bird, among the domestic animal, among the wild beastⓘ and among all the shèretzⓘ that swarmed upon the earth, and every man.

כל אשר נשמת רוח חיים באפיו מכל אשר בחרבה מתו
καὶ πάντα, ὅσα ἔχει πνοὴν ζωῆς, καὶ πᾶς, ὃς ἦν ἐπὶ τῆς ξηρᾶς, ἀπέθανεν.
All in which there was nishmat rùach chayyìmⓘ in its nostrils — of all that was on the charabàhⓘ — died.

וימח את כל היקום אשר על פני האדמה מאדם עד בהמה עד רמש ועד עוף השמים וימחו מן הארץ וישאר אך נח ואשר אתו בתבה
καὶ ἐξήλειψεν πᾶν τὸ ἀνάστημα, ὃ ἦν ἐπὶ προσώπου πάσης τῆς γῆς, ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπου ἕως κτήνους καὶ ἑρπετῶν καὶ τῶν πετεινῶν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, καὶ ἐξηλείφθησαν ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς· καὶ κατελείφθη μόνος Νωε καὶ οἱ μετ’ αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ κιβωτῷ.
And he blotted outⓘ every yequm that was upon the face of the adamàh — from the man to the domestic animal to the reptileⓘ to the bird of the heavens; they were blotted out from the earth. And there remained only Nòachⓘ and what was with him in the tevàh.
24
ויגברו המים על הארץ חמשים ומאת יום
καὶ ὑψώθη τὸ ὕδωρ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἡμέρας ἑκατὸν πεντήκοντα.
The waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty daysⓘ.
