ויזכר אלהים את נח ואת כל החיה ואת כל הבהמה אשר אתו בתבה ויעבר אלהים רוח על הארץ וישכו המים
Καὶ ἐμνήσθη ὁ θεὸς τοῦ Νωε καὶ πάντων τῶν θηρίων καὶ πάντων τῶν κτηνῶν καὶ πάντων τῶν πετεινῶν καὶ πάντων τῶν ἑρπετῶν, ὅσα ἦν μετ’ αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ κιβωτῷ, καὶ ἐπήγαγεν ὁ θεὸς πνεῦμα ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν, καὶ ἐκόπασεν τὸ ὕδωρ,
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And God rememberedⓘ Noach and all the wild beasts and all the cattle and all the birds and all the creeping thingsⓘ that were with him in the ark; and God brought a breath-windⓘ upon the earth, and the water subsidedⓘ.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And God rememberedⓘ Noach and every living thingⓘ and every beast that were with him in the ark; and God caused a breath-wind to passⓘ upon the earth, and the waters were stilledⓘ.

ויסכרו מעינת תהום וארבת השמים ויכלא הגשם מן השמים
καὶ ἐπεκαλύφθησαν αἱ πηγαὶ τῆς ἀβύσσου καὶ οἱ καταρράκται τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, καὶ συνεσχέθη ὁ ὑετὸς ἀπὸ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ.
And the fountains of the primordial abyss were closedⓘ and the floodgates of the heavensⓘ, and the rain from the heavens was restrained.

וישבו המים מעל הארץ הלוך ושוב ויחסרו המים מקצה חמשים ומאת יום
καὶ ἐνεδίδου τὸ ὕδωρ πορευόμενον ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς, ἐνεδίδου καὶ ἠλαττονοῦτο τὸ ὕδωρ μετὰ πεντήκοντα καὶ ἑκατὸν ἡμέρας.
And the waters receded from the earth, going and returning in continuous motionⓘ; and the waters abated after a hundred and fifty daysⓘ.

ותנח התבה בחדש השביעי בשבעה עשר יום לחדש על הרי אררט
καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἡ κιβωτὸς ἐν μηνὶ τῷ ἑβδόμῳ, ἑβδόμῃ καὶ εἰκάδι τοῦ μηνός, ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη τὰ Αραρατ.
And the ark came to rest, in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the monthⓘ, upon the mountains of Araràtⓘ.

והמים היו הלוך וחסור עד החדש העשירי בעשירי באחד לחדש נראו ראשי ההרים
τὸ δὲ ὕδωρ πορευόμενον ἠλαττονοῦτο ἕως τοῦ δεκάτου μηνός· ἐν δὲ τῷ ἑνδεκάτῳ μηνί, τῇ πρώτῃ τοῦ μηνός, ὤφθησαν αἱ κεφαλαὶ τῶν ὀρέων. –
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And the water kept on diminishing until the tenth monthⓘ; but in the eleventh monthⓘ, on the first day of the month, there were seenⓘ the tops of the mountains.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And the waters went on decreasing progressively until the tenth monthⓘ; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains appeared.

ויהי מקץ ארבעים יום ויפתח נח את חלון התבה אשר עשה
καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας ἠνέῳξεν Νωε τὴν θυρίδα τῆς κιβωτοῦ, ἣν ἐποίησεν,
And it came to pass after forty days that Noach opened the window of the arkⓘ which he had made.

וישלח את הערב ויצא יצוא ושוב עד יבשת המים מעל הארץ
καὶ ἀπέστειλεν τὸν κόρακα τοῦ ἰδεῖν εἰ κεκόπακεν τὸ ὕδωρ· καὶ ἐξελθὼν οὐχ ὑπέστρεψεν ἕως τοῦ ξηρανθῆναι τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And he sent forth the ravenⓘ to see whether the water had subsidedⓘ; and having gone out it did not returnⓘ, until the water had dried upⓘ from the earth.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And he sent forth the ravenⓘ; this went out, going and returning incessantly, until the waters dried upⓘ from the surface of the earth.

וישלח את היונה מאתו לראות הקלו המים מעל פני האדמה
καὶ ἀπέστειλεν τὴν περιστερὰν ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ ἰδεῖν εἰ κεκόπακεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς γῆς·
And he sent from himself the doveⓘ to see whether the waters had abated from the face of the groundⓘ.

ולא מצאה היונה מנוח לכף רגלה ותשב אליו אל התבה כי מים על פני כל הארץ וישלח ידו ויקחה ויבא אתה אליו אל התבה
καὶ οὐχ εὑροῦσα ἡ περιστερὰ ἀνάπαυσιν τοῖς ποσὶν αὐτῆς ὑπέστρεψεν πρὸς αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν, ὅτι ὕδωρ ἦν ἐπὶ παντὶ προσώπῳ πάσης τῆς γῆς, καὶ ἐκτείνας τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἔλαβεν αὐτὴν καὶ εἰσήγαγεν αὐτὴν πρὸς ἑαυτὸν εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν.
But the dove found not a place of rest for the sole of its footⓘ and returned to him into the ark, for water still covered the whole face of the earth; and he stretched out his handⓘ, took it and brought it in to himself into the ark.

ויחל עוד שבעת ימים אחרים ויסף שלח את היונה מן התבה
καὶ ἐπισχὼν ἔτι ἡμέρας ἑπτὰ ἑτέρας πάλιν ἐξαπέστειλεν τὴν περιστερὰν ἐκ τῆς κιβωτοῦ·
And he waited yet another seven daysⓘ and again he sent the dove forth from the ark.

ותבא אליו היונה לעת ערב והנה עלה זית טרף בפיה וידע נח כי קלו המים מעל הארץ
καὶ ἀνέστρεψεν πρὸς αὐτὸν ἡ περιστερὰ τὸ πρὸς ἑσπέραν καὶ εἶχεν φύλλον ἐλαίας κάρφος ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτῆς, καὶ ἔγνω Νωε ὅτι κεκόπακεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς.
And the dove returned to him at the time of eveningⓘ, and behold in its beak a freshly plucked olive leafⓘ; and Noach knew that the waters had abated from the surface of the earth.

וייחל עוד שבעת ימים אחרים וישלח את היונה ולא יספה שוב אליו עוד
καὶ ἐπισχὼν ἔτι ἡμέρας ἑπτὰ ἑτέρας πάλιν ἐξαπέστειλεν τὴν περιστεράν, καὶ οὐ προσέθετο τοῦ ἐπιστρέψαι πρὸς αὐτὸν ἔτι. –
And he waited yet another seven days and sent forth the dove, and it returned to him no moreⓘ.

ויהי באחת ושש מאות שנה בראשון באחד לחדש חרבו המים מעל הארץ ויסר נח את מכסה התבה וירא והנה חרבו פני האדמה
καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἑνὶ καὶ ἑξακοσιοστῷ ἔτει ἐν τῇ ζωῇ τοῦ Νωε, τοῦ πρώτου μηνός, μιᾷ τοῦ μηνός, ἐξέλιπεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς· καὶ ἀπεκάλυψεν Νωε τὴν στέγην τῆς κιβωτοῦ, ἣν ἐποίησεν, καὶ εἶδεν ὅτι ἐξέλιπεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς γῆς.
And it came to pass in the six hundred and first yearⓘ, in the first month, on the first day of the month, that the waters were dried up from the earth; and Noach removed the covering of the arkⓘ and looked out, and behold the face of the groundⓘ had dried up.

ובחדש השני בשבעה ועשרים יום לחדש יבשה הארץ
ἐν δὲ τῷ μηνὶ τῷ δευτέρῳ, ἑβδόμῃ καὶ εἰκάδι τοῦ μηνός, ἐξηράνθη ἡ γῆ.
And in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the monthⓘ, the earth was completely dry.

וידבר אלהים אל נח לאמר
Καὶ εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῷ Νωε λέγων
And God spokeⓘ to Noach saying:
16
צא מן התבה אתה ואשתך ובניך ונשי בניך אתך
Ἔξελθε ἐκ τῆς κιβωτοῦ, σὺ καὶ ἡ γυνή σου καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες τῶν υἱῶν σου μετὰ σοῦ
«Go forth from the ark, you, your wife, your sons and the wives of your sonsⓘ together with you;
17
כל החיה אשר אתך מכל בשר בעוף ובבהמה ובכל הרמש הרמש על הארץ הוצא היצא אתך ושרצו בארץ ופרו ורבו על הארץ
καὶ πάντα τὰ θηρία, ὅσα ἐστὶν μετὰ σοῦ, καὶ πᾶσα σὰρξ ἀπὸ πετεινῶν ἕως κτηνῶν, καὶ πᾶν ἑρπετὸν κινούμενον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἐξάγαγε μετὰ σεαυτοῦ· καὶ αὐξάνεσθε καὶ πληθύνεσθε ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς.
every living thing that is with you, of all fleshⓘ — birds, beasts and every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth — bring forth with youⓘ: let them swarm upon the earth, be fruitful and multiplyⓘ upon the face of the earth».

ויצא נח ובניו ואשתו ונשי בניו אתו
καὶ ἐξῆλθεν Νωε καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ μετ’ αὐτοῦ,
And Noach went forth together with his sons, his wife and the wives of his sons.
19
כל החיה כל הרמש וכל העוף כל רומש על הארץ למשפחתיהם יצאו מן התבה
καὶ πάντα τὰ θηρία καὶ πάντα τὰ κτήνη καὶ πᾶν πετεινὸν καὶ πᾶν ἑρπετὸν κινούμενον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς κατὰ γένος αὐτῶν ἐξήλθοσαν ἐκ τῆς κιβωτοῦ.
And every living thing, every creeping thing, every bird, all that moves upon the earth, according to their familiesⓘ, went forth from the ark.
20
ויבן נח מזבח ליהוה ויקח מכל הבהמה הטהורה ומכל העוף הטהר ויעל עלת במזבח
καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν Νωε θυσιαστήριον τῷ θεῷ καὶ ἔλαβεν ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν καθαρῶν καὶ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν πετεινῶν τῶν καθαρῶν καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν ὁλοκαρπώσεις ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον.
And Noach built an altar to the Tetragrammatonⓘ, took of every clean beast and of every clean bird and offered up holocaustsⓘ upon the altar.

וירח יהוה את ריח הניחח ויאמר יהוה אל לבו לא אסף לקלל עוד את האדמה בעבור האדם כי יצר לב האדם רע מנעריו ולא אסף עוד להכות את כל חי כאשר עשיתי
καὶ ὠσφράνθη κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας, καὶ εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς διανοηθείς Οὐ προσθήσω ἔτι τοῦ καταράσασθαι τὴν γῆν διὰ τὰ ἔργα τῶν ἀνθρώπων, ὅτι ἔγκειται ἡ διάνοια τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐπιμελῶς ἐπὶ τὰ πονηρὰ ἐκ νεότητος· οὐ προσθήσω οὖν ἔτι πατάξαι πᾶσαν σάρκα ζῶσαν, καθὼς ἐποίησα.
And the Tetragrammaton smelled the pleasing odorⓘ, and the Tetragrammaton said in his heart: «I will not again curse the ground because of man, for the inclination of the heart of man is turned toward evil from his youthⓘ; and I will not again smite every living thing as I have done.

עד כל ימי הארץ זרע וקציר וקר וחם וקיץ וחרף ויום ולילה לא ישבתו
πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς γῆς σπέρμα καὶ θερισμός, ψῦχος καὶ καῦμα, θέρος καὶ ἔαρ ἡμέραν καὶ νύκτα οὐ καταπαύσουσιν.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——All the days of the earthⓘ, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and springⓘ, day and night shall not ceaseⓘ.—— Masoretic (MT) ——For all the days that the earth shall endure, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night shall never ceaseⓘ».
