ואלה תולדת בני נח שם חם ויפת ויולדו להם בנים אחר המבול
Αὗται δὲ αἱ γενέσεις τῶν υἱῶν Νωε, Σημ, Χαμ, Ιαφεθ, καὶ ἐγενήθησαν αὐτοῖς υἱοὶ μετὰ τὸν κατακλυσμόν.
These are the toldòtⓘ of the sons of Nòachⓘ: Shèm, Chàm and Yàfet. And sons were born to them after the mabbùlⓘ.

בני יפת גמר ומגוג ומדי ויון ותבל ומשך ותירס
Υἱοὶ Ιαφεθ· Γαμερ καὶ Μαγωγ καὶ Μαδαι καὶ Ιωυαν καὶ Ελισα καὶ Θοβελ καὶ Μοσοχ καὶ Θιρας.

ובני גמר אשכנז וריפת ותגרמה
καὶ υἱοὶ Γαμερ· Ασχαναζ καὶ Ριφαθ καὶ Θοργαμα.
And sons of Gòmer: Ashkenàzⓘ and Rifàt and Togarmàh.

ובני יון אלישה ותרשיש כתים ודדנים
καὶ υἱοὶ Ιωυαν· Ελισα καὶ Θαρσις, Κίτιοι, Ῥόδιοι.
And sons of Yavàn: Elishàh and Tareshìsh, Kittìmⓘ and Dodanìmⓘ.

מאלה נפרדו איי הגוים בארצתם איש ללשנו למשפחתם בגויהם
ἐκ τούτων ἀφωρίσθησαν νῆσοι τῶν ἐθνῶν ἐν τῇ γῇ αὐτῶν, ἕκαστος κατὰ γλῶσσαν ἐν ταῖς φυλαῖς αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν αὐτῶν.
From these were separatedⓘ the isles of the nationsⓘ in their lands, each according to his tongue (לְשֹׁנוֹ, leshonò), according to their families, in their nations.

ובני חם כוש ומצרים ופוט וכנען
Υἱοὶ δὲ Χαμ· Χους καὶ Μεσραιμ, Φουδ καὶ Χανααν.
And sons of Chàm: Kùshⓘ and Mitsraìmⓘ and Pùtⓘ and Kenàan.

ובני כוש סבא וחוילה וסבתה ורעמה וסבתכא ובני רעמה שבא ודדן
υἱοὶ δὲ Χους· Σαβα καὶ Ευιλα καὶ Σαβαθα καὶ Ρεγμα καὶ Σαβακαθα. υἱοὶ δὲ Ρεγμα· Σαβα καὶ Δαδαν.
And sons of Kùsh: Sevà and Chavìlah and Savtàh and Raàmahⓘ and Savtekhàh; and sons of Raàmah: Shevà and Dedàn.

וכוש ילד את נמרד הוא החל להיות גבר בארץ
Χους δὲ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Νεβρωδ. οὗτος ἤρξατο εἶναι γίγας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς·
And Kùsh begot Nimròdⓘ: he beganⓘ to be ghibbòrⓘ on the earth.

הוא היה גבר ציד לפני יהוה על כן יאמר כנמרד גבור ציד לפני יהוה
οὗτος ἦν γίγας κυνηγὸς ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ· διὰ τοῦτο ἐροῦσιν Ὡς Νεβρωδ γίγας κυνηγὸς ἐναντίον κυρίου.
He was a ghibbòr tzayyàd (גִּבֹּר צַיָּד, mighty hunter) before the Tetragrammatonⓘ — his Godⓘ. Therefore it is said in the proverb: «Like Nimròd, a ghibbòr tzayyàd before the Tetragrammaton».

ותהי ראשית ממלכתו בבל וארך ואכד וכלנה בארץ שנער
καὶ ἐγένετο ἀρχὴ τῆς βασιλείας αὐτοῦ Βαβυλὼν καὶ Ορεχ καὶ Αρχαδ καὶ Χαλαννη ἐν τῇ γῇ Σεννααρ.
And the beginning of his mamlakhàhⓘ was Bavèlⓘ and Erekh (the ancient Uruk) and Akkàd and Kalhnèh in the land of Shinàrⓘ.

מן הארץ ההוא יצא אשור ויבן את נינוה ואת רחבת עיר ואת כלח
ἐκ τῆς γῆς ἐκείνης ἐξῆλθεν Ασσουρ καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν τὴν Νινευη καὶ τὴν Ροωβωθ πόλιν καὶ τὴν Χαλαχ
From that land went out Ashshùrⓘ and built Ninvèhⓘ and Rechovòt-Irⓘ and Kèlach,

ואת רסן בין נינוה ובין כלח הוא העיר הגדלה
καὶ τὴν Δασεμ ἀνὰ μέσον Νινευη καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον Χαλαχ· αὕτη ἡ πόλις ἡ μεγάλη. –
and Resènⓘ between Ninvèh and Kèlach: it is the great cityⓘ.

ומצרים ילד את לודים ואת ענמים ואת להבים ואת נפתחים
καὶ Μεσραιμ ἐγέννησεν τοὺς Λουδιιμ καὶ τοὺς Ενεμετιιμ καὶ τοὺς Λαβιιμ καὶ τοὺς Νεφθαλιιμ
And Mitsraìmⓘ begot the Ludìmⓘ and the Anamìmⓘ and the Lehavìm and the Naftuchìmⓘ,

ואת פתרסים ואת כסלחים אשר יצאו משם פלשתים ואת כפתרים
καὶ τοὺς Πατροσωνιιμ καὶ τοὺς Χασλωνιιμ, ὅθεν ἐξῆλθεν ἐκεῖθεν Φυλιστιιμ, καὶ τοὺς Καφθοριιμ. –
and the Patrusìm and the Kasluchìmⓘ, from whom went out the Pelishtìmⓘ, and the Kaftorimⓘ.

וכנען ילד את צידן בכרו ואת חת
Χανααν δὲ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σιδῶνα πρωτότοκον καὶ τὸν Χετταῖον
And Kenàan begot Tsidònⓘ his bekhoròⓘ and Chètⓘ.
16
ואת היבוסי ואת האמרי ואת הגרגשי
καὶ τὸν Ιεβουσαῖον καὶ τὸν Αμορραῖον καὶ τὸν Γεργεσαῖον
And the Yevusìⓘ and the Emorìⓘ and the Girgashìⓘ,
17
ואת החוי ואת הערקי ואת הסיני
καὶ τὸν Ευαῖον καὶ τὸν Αρουκαῖον καὶ τὸν Ασενναῖον
and the Chivvìⓘ and the Arqìⓘ and the Sinì,
18
ואת הארודי ואת הצמרי ואת החמתי ואחר נפצו משפחות הכנעני
καὶ τὸν Ἀράδιον καὶ τὸν Σαμαραῖον καὶ τὸν Αμαθι. καὶ μετὰ τοῦτο διεσπάρησαν αἱ φυλαὶ τῶν Χαναναίων,
and the Arvadìⓘ and the Tsemarìⓘ and the Chamatì; and afterward these were dispersedⓘ the families of the Kenaanim.

ויהי גבול הכנעני מצידן באכה גררה עד עזה באכה סדמה ועמרה ואדמה וצבים עד לשע
καὶ ἐγένοντο τὰ ὅρια τῶν Χαναναίων ἀπὸ Σιδῶνος ἕως ἐλθεῖν εἰς Γεραρα καὶ Γάζαν, ἕως ἐλθεῖν Σοδομων καὶ Γομορρας, Αδαμα καὶ Σεβωιμ, ἕως Λασα. –
And the border of the Kenaanim went from Tsidòn toward Gheràrⓘ as far as Azzàhⓘ, toward Sedòm and Amòrah and Admàh and Tsevoyìmⓘ as far as Làshaⓘ.

אלה בני חם למשפחתם ללשנתם בארצתם בגויהם
οὗτοι υἱοὶ Χαμ ἐν ταῖς φυλαῖς αὐτῶν κατὰ γλώσσας αὐτῶν ἐν ταῖς χώραις αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν αὐτῶν.
These are the sons of Chàm according to their families, according to their tongues (לִשְׁנֹתָם, leshonotàm), in their lands, in their nations.
21
ולשם ילד גם הוא אבי כל בני עבר אחי יפת הגדול
Καὶ τῷ Σημ ἐγενήθη καὶ αὐτῷ, πατρὶ πάντων τῶν υἱῶν Εβερ, ἀδελφῷ Ιαφεθ τοῦ μείζονος.
And to Shèmⓘ were born he alsoⓘ: he was the **father of all the sons of Ever**ⓘ — the **brother of Yàfet ha-gadòl**ⓘ.

בני שם עילם ואשור וארפכשד ולוד וארם
υἱοὶ Σημ· Αιλαμ καὶ Ασσουρ καὶ Αρφαξαδ καὶ Λουδ καὶ Αραμ καὶ Καιναν.

ובני ארם עוץ וחול וגתר ומש
καὶ υἱοὶ Αραμ· Ως καὶ Ουλ καὶ Γαθερ καὶ Μοσοχ.
And sons of Aràm: Ùtsⓘ and Chùlⓘ and Gèter and Màshⓘ.

וארפכשד ילד את שלח ושלח ילד את עבר
καὶ Αρφαξαδ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Καιναν, καὶ Καιναν ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σαλα, Σαλα δὲ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Εβερ.

ולעבר ילד שני בנים שם האחד פלג כי בימיו נפלגה הארץ ושם אחיו יקטן
καὶ τῷ Εβερ ἐγενήθησαν δύο υἱοί· ὄνομα τῷ ἑνὶ Φαλεκ, ὅτι ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις αὐτοῦ διεμερίσθη ἡ γῆ, καὶ ὄνομα τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτοῦ Ιεκταν.
And to Èver were born two sonsⓘ: the name of the one was Pèlegⓘ, **because in his days was divided**ⓘ the earth — and the name of his brother was Yoqtàn**.

ויקטן ילד את אלמודד ואת שלף ואת חצרמות ואת ירח
Ιεκταν δὲ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ελμωδαδ καὶ τὸν Σαλεφ καὶ Ασαρμωθ καὶ Ιαραχ
And Yoqtàn begot Almodàd and Shèlef and Chatsarmavetⓘ and Yèrachⓘ,
27
ואת הדורם ואת אוזל ואת דקלה
καὶ Οδορρα καὶ Αιζηλ καὶ Δεκλα
and Hadoràm and Uzàl and Diqàlah,
28
ואת עובל ואת אבימאל ואת שבא
καὶ Αβιμεηλ καὶ Σαβευ

ואת אופר ואת חוילה ואת יובב כל אלה בני יקטן
καὶ Ουφιρ καὶ Ευιλα καὶ Ιωβαβ. πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ιεκταν.
and Ofìrⓘ and Chavìlah and Yovàvⓘ: all these were sons of Yoqtàn.
30
ויהי מושבם ממשא באכה ספרה הר הקדם
καὶ ἐγένετο ἡ κατοίκησις αὐτῶν ἀπὸ Μασση ἕως ἐλθεῖν εἰς Σωφηρα, ὄρος ἀνατολῶν.
And their moshàvⓘ was from Mèshaⓘ toward Sefàrⓘ, the mountain of the eastⓘ.
31
אלה בני שם למשפחתם ללשנתם בארצתם לגויהם
οὗτοι υἱοὶ Σημ ἐν ταῖς φυλαῖς αὐτῶν κατὰ γλώσσας αὐτῶν ἐν ταῖς χώραις αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν αὐτῶν.
These are the sons of Shèm according to their families, according to their tongues (לִשְׁנֹתָם), in their lands, in their nations.
32
אלה משפחת בני נח לתולדתם בגויהם ומאלה נפרדו הגוים בארץ אחר המבול
Αὗται αἱ φυλαὶ υἱῶν Νωε κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν κατὰ τὰ ἔθνη αὐτῶν· ἀπὸ τούτων διεσπάρησαν νῆσοι τῶν ἐθνῶν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς μετὰ τὸν κατακλυσμόν.
These are the mishpechòtⓘ of the sons of Nòach according to their toldòtⓘ, in their nations; and from these were separatedⓘ the isles of the nationsⓘ on the earth after the mabbùl.
