ויברך אלהים את נח ואת בניו ויאמר להם פרו ורבו ומלאו את הארץ
Καὶ ηὐλόγησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν Νωε καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Αὐξάνεσθε καὶ πληθύνεσθε καὶ πληρώσατε τὴν γῆν καὶ κατακυριεύσατε αὐτῆς.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And Godⓘ blessed Noahⓘ and his sons and said to them: Increase and multiply and fill the earth and subdue itⓘ.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And Godⓘ blessed Nōaḥⓘ and his sons and said to them: Increase and multiply and fill the earth and have dominion over itⓘ.

ומוראכם וחתכם יהיה על כל חית הארץ ועל כל עוף השמים בכל אשר תרמש האדמה ובכל דגי הים בידכם נתנו
καὶ ὁ τρόμος ὑμῶν καὶ ὁ φόβος ἔσται ἐπὶ πᾶσιν τοῖς θηρίοις τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ὄρνεα τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ κινούμενα ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς ἰχθύας τῆς θαλάσσης· ὑπὸ χεῖρας ὑμῖν δέδωκα.
The reverential fear of youⓘ and the dread of youⓘ shall be upon every beast of the earth, upon every bird of the heavens, upon everything that creeps upon the adamahⓘ and upon all the fish of the sea: into your hands they are delivered.

כל רמש אשר הוא חי לכם יהיה לאכלה כירק עשב נתתי לכם את כל
καὶ πᾶν ἑρπετόν, ὅ ἐστιν ζῶν, ὑμῖν ἔσται εἰς βρῶσιν· ὡς λάχανα χόρτου δέδωκα ὑμῖν τὰ πάντα.
Every creature that creeps and that is alive shall be food for you: as the green herbⓘ I have given you all things.

אך בשר בנפשו דמו לא תאכלו
πλὴν κρέας ἐν αἵματι ψυχῆς οὐ φάγεσθε·
Only flesh with its life-breathⓘ, its bloodⓘ, you shall not eat.
5
ואך את דמכם לנפשתיכם אדרש מיד כל חיה אדרשנו ומיד האדם מיד איש אחיו אדרש את נפש האדם
καὶ γὰρ τὸ ὑμέτερον αἷμα τῶν ψυχῶν ὑμῶν ἐκζητήσω, ἐκ χειρὸς πάντων τῶν θηρίων ἐκζητήσω αὐτὸ καὶ ἐκ χειρὸς ἀνθρώπου ἀδελφοῦ ἐκζητήσω τὴν ψυχὴν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου.
And for your blood, for your lives-breathⓘ, I will require an accounting: from the hand of every beast I will exact it, and from the hand of man — from the hand of each one toward his brotherⓘ — I will exact the life of man.

שפך דם האדם באדם דמו ישפך כי בצלם אלהים עשה את האדם
ὁ ἐκχέων αἷμα ἀνθρώπου ἀντὶ τοῦ αἵματος αὐτοῦ ἐκχυθήσεται, ὅτι ἐν εἰκόνι θεοῦ ἐποίησα τὸν ἄνθρωπον.
Whoever sheds the blood of manⓘ, by the hand of manⓘ his blood shall be shed; for in the image of Godⓘ he made man.

ואתם פרו ורבו שרצו בארץ ורבו בה
ὑμεῖς δὲ αὐξάνεσθε καὶ πληθύνεσθε καὶ πληρώσατε τὴν γῆν καὶ πληθύνεσθε ἐπ’ αὐτῆς.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——And you, increase and multiply and fill the earthⓘ and multiply upon itⓘ.—— Masoretic (MT) ——And you, increase and multiply, swarm upon the earth and multiply in it and fill the earthⓘ.

ויאמר אלהים אל נח ואל בניו אתו לאמר
Καὶ εἶπεν ὁ θεὸς τῷ Νωε καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ μετ’ αὐτοῦ λέγων
And God said to Nōaḥ and to his sons with himⓘ:
9
ואני הנני מקים את בריתי אתכם ואת זרעכם אחריכם
Ἐγὼ ἰδοὺ ἀνίστημι τὴν διαθήκην μου ὑμῖν καὶ τῷ σπέρματι ὑμῶν μεθ’ ὑμᾶς
«Behold, I establish my covenantⓘ with you and with your offspringⓘ after you,

ואת כל נפש החיה אשר אתכם בעוף בבהמה ובכל חית הארץ אתכם מכל יצאי התבה לכל חית הארץ
καὶ πάσῃ ψυχῇ τῇ ζώσῃ μεθ’ ὑμῶν ἀπὸ ὀρνέων καὶ ἀπὸ κτηνῶν καὶ πᾶσι τοῖς θηρίοις τῆς γῆς, ὅσα μεθ’ ὑμῶν, ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἐξελθόντων ἐκ τῆς κιβωτοῦ.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——and with every living soulⓘ that is with you: from the birds, from the cattle, and with all the beasts of the earth, as many as are with you, from all those that came out of the arkⓘ.—— Masoretic (MT) ——and with every living beingⓘ that is with you: birds, cattle, and every animal of the earth with you — from all those that came out of the ark — with every animal of the earth.

והקמתי את בריתי אתכם ולא יכרת כל בשר עוד ממי המבול ולא יהיה עוד מבול לשחת הארץ
καὶ στήσω τὴν διαθήκην μου πρὸς ὑμᾶς, καὶ οὐκ ἀποθανεῖται πᾶσα σὰρξ ἔτι ἀπὸ τοῦ ὕδατος τοῦ κατακλυσμοῦ, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἔτι κατακλυσμὸς ὕδατος τοῦ καταφθεῖραι πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν. –
I will establish my covenant with you: no longer shall all flesh be cut offⓘ by the waters of the floodⓘ, nor shall there be a flood again to destroy the earth.

ויאמר אלהים זאת אות הברית אשר אני נתן ביני וביניכם ובין כל נפש חיה אשר אתכם לדרת עולם
καὶ εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς πρὸς Νωε Τοῦτο τὸ σημεῖον τῆς διαθήκης, ὃ ἐγὼ δίδωμι ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμοῦ καὶ ὑμῶν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον πάσης ψυχῆς ζώσης, ἥ ἐστιν μεθ’ ὑμῶν, εἰς γενεὰς αἰωνίους·
And Godⓘ said: «This is the sign of the covenantⓘ that I set between me and you and every living being that is with you, for all generations foreverⓘ:

את קשתי נתתי בענן והיתה לאות ברית ביני ובין הארץ
τὸ τόξον μου τίθημι ἐν τῇ νεφέλῃ, καὶ ἔσται εἰς σημεῖον διαθήκης ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμοῦ καὶ τῆς γῆς.
my bowⓘ I setⓘ in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of covenant between me and the earth.
14
והיה בענני ענן על הארץ ונראתה הקשת בענן
καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῷ συννεφεῖν με νεφέλας ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ὀφθήσεται τὸ τόξον μου ἐν τῇ νεφέλῃ,
And when I gather clouds over the earth, my bow shall appearⓘ in the cloud.
15
וזכרתי את בריתי אשר ביני וביניכם ובין כל נפש חיה בכל בשר ולא יהיה עוד המים למבול לשחת כל בשר
καὶ μνησθήσομαι τῆς διαθήκης μου, ἥ ἐστιν ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμοῦ καὶ ὑμῶν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον πάσης ψυχῆς ζώσης ἐν πάσῃ σαρκί, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἔτι τὸ ὕδωρ εἰς κατακλυσμὸν ὥστε ἐξαλεῖψαι πᾶσαν σάρκα.
I will remember my covenant which is between me and you and every living being in all flesh, and the waters shall no longer become a flood to destroy all flesh.

והיתה הקשת בענן וראיתיה לזכר ברית עולם בין אלהים ובין כל נפש חיה בכל בשר אשר על הארץ
καὶ ἔσται τὸ τόξον μου ἐν τῇ νεφέλῃ, καὶ ὄψομαι τοῦ μνησθῆναι διαθήκην αἰώνιον ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμοῦ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον πάσης ψυχῆς ζώσης ἐν πάσῃ σαρκί, ἥ ἐστιν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς.
The bow shall be in the cloud and I will look upon it to remember the eternal covenant between Godⓘ and every living being in all flesh that is upon the earth.
17
ויאמר אלהים אל נח זאת אות הברית אשר הקמתי ביני ובין כל בשר אשר על הארץ
καὶ εἶπεν ὁ θεὸς τῷ Νωε Τοῦτο τὸ σημεῖον τῆς διαθήκης, ἧς διεθέμην ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμοῦ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον πάσης σαρκός, ἥ ἐστιν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς.
And God said to Nōaḥ: «This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.»

ויהיו בני נח היצאים מן התבה שם וחם ויפת וחם הוא אבי כנען
Ἦσαν δὲ οἱ υἱοὶ Νωε οἱ ἐξελθόντες ἐκ τῆς κιβωτοῦ Σημ, Χαμ, Ιαφεθ· Χαμ ἦν πατὴρ Χανααν.
The sons of Nōaḥ who came out of the ark were Shemⓘ, Chamⓘ and Yèfetⓘ; and Cham was the father of Kenàʿanⓘ.

שלשה אלה בני נח ומאלה נפצה כל הארץ
τρεῖς οὗτοί εἰσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Νωε· ἀπὸ τούτων διεσπάρησαν ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν.
These three are the sons of Nōaḥ; and from them was dispersedⓘ the whole earth.
20
ויחל נח איש האדמה ויטע כרם
Καὶ ἤρξατο Νωε ἄνθρωπος γεωργὸς γῆς καὶ ἐφύτευσεν ἀμπελῶνα.
And Nōaḥ, a man of the adamahⓘ a tiller of the groundⓘ, began and planted a vineyard.
21
וישת מן היין וישכר ויתגל בתוך אהלה
καὶ ἔπιεν ἐκ τοῦ οἴνου καὶ ἐμεθύσθη καὶ ἐγυμνώθη ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ.
He drank of the wine, became drunk, and uncovered himself inside his tentⓘ.
22
וירא חם אבי כנען את ערות אביו ויגד לשני אחיו בחוץ
καὶ εἶδεν Χαμ ὁ πατὴρ Χανααν τὴν γύμνωσιν τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐξελθὼν ἀνήγγειλεν τοῖς δυσὶν ἀδελφοῖς αὐτοῦ ἔξω.
And Cham, the father of Kenàʿan, saw the nakedness of his father and going outⓘ told it to his two brothers outside.

ויקח שם ויפת את השמלה וישימו על שכם שניהם וילכו אחרנית ויכסו את ערות אביהם ופניהם אחרנית וערות אביהם לא ראו
καὶ λαβόντες Σημ καὶ Ιαφεθ τὸ ἱμάτιον ἐπέθεντο ἐπὶ τὰ δύο νῶτα αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ὀπισθοφανῶς καὶ συνεκάλυψαν τὴν γύμνωσιν τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν, καὶ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτῶν ὀπισθοφανές, καὶ τὴν γύμνωσιν τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν οὐκ εἶδον.
Then Shem and Yèfet took the cloak, placed it both upon their shouldersⓘ, walked backward and covered the nakedness of their father — with their faces turned backward — and they did not see the nakedness of their father.
24
וייקץ נח מיינו וידע את אשר עשה לו בנו הקטן
ἐξένηψεν δὲ Νωε ἀπὸ τοῦ οἴνου καὶ ἔγνω ὅσα ἐποίησεν αὐτῷ ὁ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ὁ νεώτερος,
Nōaḥ awoke from the wine and knew what his youngest sonⓘ had done to him.
25
ויאמר ארור כנען עבד עבדים יהיה לאחיו
καὶ εἶπεν Ἐπικατάρατος Χανααν· παῖς οἰκέτης ἔσται τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς αὐτοῦ.
And he said: «Cursed be Kenàʿanⓘ — a servant of servants shall he be to his brothers.»
26
ויאמר ברוך יהוה אלהי שם ויהי כנען עבד למו
καὶ εἶπεν Εὐλογητὸς κύριος ὁ θεὸς τοῦ Σημ, καὶ ἔσται Χανααν παῖς αὐτοῦ.
And he said: «Blessed be the Tetragrammatonⓘ, the God of Shem; and may Kenàʿan be his servant.»
27
יפת אלהים ליפת וישכן באהלי שם ויהי כנען עבד למו
πλατύναι ὁ θεὸς τῷ Ιαφεθ καὶ κατοικησάτω ἐν τοῖς οἴκοις τοῦ Σημ, καὶ γενηθήτω Χανααν παῖς αὐτῶν.
May God enlarge Yèfetⓘ and may he dwell in the tents of Shemⓘ; and may Kenàʿan be their servant.
28
ויחי נח אחר המבול שלש מאות שנה וחמשים שנה
Ἔζησεν δὲ Νωε μετὰ τὸν κατακλυσμὸν τριακόσια πεντήκοντα ἔτη.
Nōaḥ lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.
29
ויהיו כל ימי נח תשע מאות שנה וחמשים שנה וימת
καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Νωε ἐννακόσια πεντήκοντα ἔτη, καὶ ἀπέθανεν.
All the days of Nōaḥ were nine hundred and fifty years, and he died.
