ויהי אחר הדברים האלה חטאו משקה מלך מצרים והאפה לאדניהם למלך מצרים
Ἐγένετο δὲ μετὰ τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα ἥμαρτεν ὁ ἀρχιοινοχόος τοῦ βασιλέως Αἰγύπτου καὶ ὁ ἀρχισιτοποιὸς τῷ κυρίῳ αὐτῶν βασιλεῖ Αἰγύπτου.
And it came to pass after these thingsⓘ that the mashqèhⓘ of the king of Egypt and the bakerⓘ sinned against their lord, the king of Egypt.

ויקצף פרעה על שני סריסיו על שר המשקים ועל שר האופים
καὶ ὠργίσθη Φαραω ἐπὶ τοῖς δυσὶν εὐνούχοις αὐτοῦ, ἐπὶ τῷ ἀρχιοινοχόῳ καὶ ἐπὶ τῷ ἀρχισιτοποιῷ,
Parʿòh was angry against his two sarìsìmⓘ: against the sar ha-mashqìm (chief of the cupbearers) and against the sar ha-ofìm (chief of the bakers).

ויתן אתם במשמר בית שר הטבחים אל בית הסהר מקום אשר יוסף אסור שם
καὶ ἔθετο αὐτοὺς ἐν φυλακῇ παρὰ τῷ δεσμοφύλακι εἰς τὸ δεσμωτήριον, εἰς τὸν τόπον, οὗ Ιωσηφ ἀπῆκτο ἐκεῖ.
He put them in custody in the mishmàrⓘ of the house of the sar ha-tabbachìmⓘ, in the bèt ha-sòhar (the prison-house), in the place where Yosèf was boundⓘ.

ויפקד שר הטבחים את יוסף אתם וישרת אתם ויהיו ימים במשמר
καὶ συνέστησεν ὁ ἀρχιδεσμώτης τῷ Ιωσηφ αὐτούς, καὶ παρέστη αὐτοῖς· ἦσαν δὲ ἡμέρας ἐν τῇ φυλακῇ. –
The sar ha-tabbachìmⓘ assigned Yosèf to the service of those men — vayifqòdⓘ — and he attended them; and days passedⓘ in custody.

ויחלמו חלום שניהם איש חלמו בלילה אחד איש כפתרון חלמו המשקה והאפה אשר למלך מצרים אשר אסורים בבית הסהר
καὶ εἶδον ἀμφότεροι ἐνύπνιον, ἑκάτερος ἐνύπνιον, ἐν μιᾷ νυκτὶ ὅρασις τοῦ ἐνυπνίου αὐτοῦ, ὁ ἀρχιοινοχόος καὶ ὁ ἀρχισιτοποιός, οἳ ἦσαν τῷ βασιλεῖ Αἰγύπτου, οἱ ὄντες ἐν τῷ δεσμωτηρίῳ.
And they dreamed a dream, both of them — vayachalmu chalòmⓘ — each his own dream in the same night, each according to the interpretation of his dreamⓘ: the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were prisoners in the bèt ha-sòhar.

ויבא אליהם יוסף בבקר וירא אתם והנם זעפים
εἰσῆλθεν δὲ πρὸς αὐτοὺς Ιωσηφ τὸ πρωῒ καὶ εἶδεν αὐτούς, καὶ ἦσαν τεταραγμένοι.
Yosèf came to them in the morning, saw them and — behold them troubledⓘ.

וישאל את סריסי פרעה אשר אתו במשמר בית אדניו לאמר מדוע פניכם רעים היום
καὶ ἠρώτα τοὺς εὐνούχους Φαραω, οἳ ἦσαν μετ’ αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ φυλακῇ παρὰ τῷ κυρίῳ αὐτοῦ, λέγων Τί ὅτι τὰ πρόσωπα ὑμῶν σκυθρωπὰ σήμερον;
He asked the sarìsìm of Parʿòhⓘ who were with him in the custody of his lord's house, saying: «Why are your faces evilⓘ today?»

ויאמרו אליו חלום חלמנו ופתר אין אתו ויאמר אלהם יוסף הלוא לאלהים פתרנים ספרו נא לי
οἱ δὲ εἶπαν αὐτῷ Ἐνύπνιον εἴδομεν, καὶ ὁ συγκρίνων οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτό. εἶπεν δὲ αὐτοῖς Ιωσηφ Οὐχὶ διὰ τοῦ θεοῦ ἡ διασάφησις αὐτῶν ἐστιν; διηγήσασθε οὖν μοι. –
They answered him: «A dream we have dreamed — chalòm chalamnu — and there is no interpreter with us». And Yosèf said to them: «Do not interpretationsⓘ belong to Elohìmⓘ? Tell me, then, I pray you».

ויספר שר המשקים את חלמו ליוסף ויאמר לו בחלומי והנה גפן לפני
καὶ διηγήσατο ὁ ἀρχιοινοχόος τὸ ἐνύπνιον αὐτοῦ τῷ Ιωσηφ καὶ εἶπεν Ἐν τῷ ὕπνῳ μου ἦν ἄμπελος ἐναντίον μου·
The sar ha-mashqìm recounted his dream to Yosèf and said to him: «In my dream, and behold a vineⓘ before me.

ובגפן שלשה שריגם והיא כפרחת עלתה נצה הבשילו אשכלתיה ענבים
ἐν δὲ τῇ ἀμπέλῳ τρεῖς πυθμένες, καὶ αὐτὴ θάλλουσα ἀνενηνοχυῖα βλαστούς· πέπειροι οἱ βότρυες σταφυλῆς.
On the vine three sharìgìmⓘ — and it as buddingⓘ went up in blossom, its bud burst forth, and its clusters ripenedⓘ into grapes.

וכוס פרעה בידי ואקח את הענבים ואשחט אתם אל כוס פרעה ואתן את הכוס על כף פרעה
καὶ τὸ ποτήριον Φαραω ἐν τῇ χειρί μου· καὶ ἔλαβον τὴν σταφυλὴν καὶ ἐξέθλιψα αὐτὴν εἰς τὸ ποτήριον καὶ ἔδωκα τὸ ποτήριον εἰς τὰς χεῖρας Φαραω.
The kòs (cup) of Parʿòh was in my hand; I took the grapes and pressedⓘ them into the cup of Parʿòh, and I placed the cup upon the palm of Parʿòhⓘ.

ויאמר לו יוסף זה פתרנו שלשת השרגים שלשת ימים הם
καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Ιωσηφ Τοῦτο ἡ σύγκρισις αὐτοῦ· οἱ τρεῖς πυθμένες τρεῖς ἡμέραι εἰσίν·
Yosèf said to him: «Zeh pitronò — this is its interpretation: the three sharìgìmⓘ are three days.

בעוד שלשת ימים ישא פרעה את ראשך והשיבך על כנך ונתת כוס פרעה בידו כמשפט הראשון אשר היית משקהו
ἔτι τρεῖς ἡμέραι καὶ μνησθήσεται Φαραω τῆς ἀρχῆς σου καὶ ἀποκαταστήσει σε ἐπὶ τὴν ἀρχιοινοχοίαν σου, καὶ δώσεις τὸ ποτήριον Φαραω εἰς τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ κατὰ τὴν ἀρχήν σου τὴν προτέραν, ὡς ἦσθα οἰνοχοῶν.
Within three days Parʿòh will lift up your headⓘ and restore you to your kènⓘ — and you will put the cup of Parʿòh in his hand, as the former customⓘ when you were his cupbearer.

כי אם זכרתני אתך כאשר ייטב לך ועשית נא עמדי חסד והזכרתני אל פרעה והוצאתני מן הבית הזה
ἀλλὰ μνήσθητί μου διὰ σεαυτοῦ, ὅταν εὖ σοι γένηται, καὶ ποιήσεις ἐν ἐμοὶ ἔλεος καὶ μνησθήσῃ περὶ ἐμοῦ Φαραω καὶ ἐξάξεις με ἐκ τοῦ ὀχυρώματος τούτου·
But if you will remember meⓘ with you, when it will go well with you, show me kindness — veàsìta immadì chèsedⓘ — and mention me to Parʿòh, and bring me out of this house.

כי גנב גנבתי מארץ העברים וגם פה לא עשיתי מאומה כי שמו אתי בבור
ὅτι κλοπῇ ἐκλάπην ἐκ γῆς Εβραίων καὶ ὧδε οὐκ ἐποίησα οὐδέν, ἀλλ’ ἐνέβαλόν με εἰς τὸν λάκκον τοῦτον. –
For stolen I was stolenⓘ from the land of the Ivrìmⓘ, and here too I have done nothingⓘ that they should put me in the bòrⓘ.

וירא שר האפים כי טוב פתר ויאמר אל יוסף אף אני בחלומי והנה שלשה סלי חרי על ראשי
καὶ εἶδεν ὁ ἀρχισιτοποιὸς ὅτι ὀρθῶς συνέκρινεν, καὶ εἶπεν τῷ Ιωσηφ Κἀγὼ εἶδον ἐνύπνιον καὶ ᾤμην τρία κανᾶ χονδριτῶν αἴρειν ἐπὶ τῆς κεφαλῆς μου·
The sar ha-ofìm saw that he had interpreted wellⓘ, and said to Yosèf: «I too in my dream: and behold three baskets of fine breadⓘ on my head.

ובסל העליון מכל מאכל פרעה מעשה אפה והעוף אכל אתם מן הסל מעל ראשי
ἐν δὲ τῷ κανῷ τῷ ἐπάνω ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν γενῶν, ὧν ὁ βασιλεὺς Φαραω ἐσθίει, ἔργον σιτοποιοῦ, καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ κατήσθιεν αὐτὰ ἀπὸ τοῦ κανοῦ τοῦ ἐπάνω τῆς κεφαλῆς μου.
In the uppermostⓘ basket — every kind of food of Pharaohⓘ⟧, the work of the baker, and the birdⓘ was eating from the basket above my head».

ויען יוסף ויאמר זה פתרנו שלשת הסלים שלשת ימים הם
ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ Ιωσηφ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Αὕτη ἡ σύγκρισις αὐτοῦ· τὰ τρία κανᾶ τρεῖς ἡμέραι εἰσίν·
Yosèf answered and said: «Zeh pitronò — this is its interpretation: the three baskets are three days.
19
בעוד שלשת ימים ישא פרעה את ראשך מעליך ותלה אותך על עץ ואכל העוף את בשרך מעליך
ἔτι τριῶν ἡμερῶν ἀφελεῖ Φαραω τὴν κεφαλήν σου ἀπὸ σοῦ καὶ κρεμάσει σε ἐπὶ ξύλου, καὶ φάγεται τὰ ὄρνεα τοῦ οὐρανοῦ τὰς σάρκας σου ἀπὸ σοῦ. –
Within three days Parʿòh will lift up your head from off youⓘ — and will hang you on a treeⓘ — and the birdsⓘ will eat your flesh from off you».

ויהי ביום השלישי יום הלדת את פרעה ויעש משתה לכל עבדיו וישא את ראש שר המשקים ואת ראש שר האפים בתוך עבדיו
ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ τρίτῃ ἡμέρα γενέσεως ἦν Φαραω, καὶ ἐποίει πότον πᾶσι τοῖς παισὶν αὐτοῦ. καὶ ἐμνήσθη τῆς ἀρχῆς τοῦ ἀρχιοινοχόου καὶ τῆς ἀρχῆς τοῦ ἀρχισιτοποιοῦ ἐν μέσῳ τῶν παίδων αὐτοῦ
And it came to pass on the third dayⓘ — the day of the birth of Parʿòhⓘ — and he made a banquetⓘ for all his servants, and lifted up the headⓘ of the chief of the cupbearers and the head of the chief of the bakers in the midst of his servants.

וישב את שר המשקים על משקהו ויתן הכוס על כף פרעה
καὶ ἀπεκατέστησεν τὸν ἀρχιοινοχόον ἐπὶ τὴν ἀρχὴν αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔδωκεν τὸ ποτήριον εἰς τὴν χεῖρα Φαραω,
And he reinstatedⓘ the chief of the cupbearers to his cupbearer's office, and this one placed the cup in the palm of Parʿòhⓘ.
22
ואת שר האפים תלה כאשר פתר להם יוסף
τὸν δὲ ἀρχισιτοποιὸν ἐκρέμασεν, καθὰ συνέκρινεν αὐτοῖς Ιωσηφ.
But the chief of the bakers he caused to be hangedⓘ, as Yosèf had interpreted for themⓘ.
23
ולא זכר שר המשקים את יוסף וישכחהו
οὐκ ἐμνήσθη δὲ ὁ ἀρχιοινοχόος τοῦ Ιωσηφ, ἀλλὰ ἐπελάθετο αὐτοῦ.
And the chief of the cupbearers did not rememberⓘ Yosèf — and forgot himⓘ.
