ויקרא יעקב אל בניו ויאמר האספו ואגידה לכם את אשר יקרא אתכם באחרית הימים
Ἐκάλεσεν δὲ Ιακωβ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν Συνάχθητε, ἵνα ἀναγγείλω ὑμῖν, τί ἀπαντήσει ὑμῖν ἐπ’ ἐσχάτων τῶν ἡμερῶν·
ⓘ his sons and said to them: «Gather yourselves, for I wish to announce to you what will befall you ⓘ, at the fullness of time.

הקבצו ושמעו בני יעקב ושמעו אל ישראל אביכם
ἀθροίσθητε καὶ ἀκούσατε, υἱοὶ Ιακωβ, ἀκούσατε Ισραηλ τοῦ πατρὸς ὑμῶν.
Assemble and listen, sons of Yaʿaqòv; listen to ⓘ, your father.

ראובן בכרי אתה כחי וראשית אוני יתר שאת ויתר עז
Ρουβην, πρωτότοκός μου σύ, ἰσχύς μου καὶ ἀρχὴ τέκνων μου, σκληρὸς φέρεσθαι καὶ σκληρὸς αὐθάδης.

פחז כמים אל תותר כי עלית משכבי אביך אז חללת יצועי עלה
ἐξύβρισας ὡς ὕδωρ, μὴ ἐκζέσῃς· ἀνέβης γὰρ ἐπὶ τὴν κοίτην τοῦ πατρός σου· τότε ἐμίανας τὴν στρωμνήν, οὗ ἀνέβης.

שמעון ולוי אחים כלי חמס מכרתיהם
Συμεων καὶ Λευι ἀδελφοί· συνετέλεσαν ἀδικίαν ἐξ αἱρέσεως αὐτῶν.
Shimʿòn and Lewì are brothers: ⓘ are their swords.

בסדם אל תבא נפשי בקהלם אל תחד כבדי כי באפם הרגו איש וברצנם עקרו שור
εἰς βουλὴν αὐτῶν μὴ ἔλθοι ἡ ψυχή μου, καὶ ἐπὶ τῇ συστάσει αὐτῶν μὴ ἐρείσαι τὰ ἥπατά μου, ὅτι ἐν τῷ θυμῷ αὐτῶν ἀπέκτειναν ἀνθρώπους καὶ ἐν τῇ ἐπιθυμίᾳ αὐτῶν ἐνευροκόπησαν ταῦρον.

ארור אפם כי עז ועברתם כי קשתה אחלקם ביעקב ואפיצם בישראל
ἐπικατάρατος ὁ θυμὸς αὐτῶν, ὅτι αὐθάδης, καὶ ἡ μῆνις αὐτῶν, ὅτι ἐσκληρύνθη· διαμεριῶ αὐτοὺς ἐν Ιακωβ καὶ διασπερῶ αὐτοὺς ἐν Ισραηλ.
Cursed be their anger, for it is violent, and their fury, for it is ⓘ: I will divide them in Yaʿaqòv, I will scatter them throughout Israel.

יהודה אתה יודוך אחיך ידך בערף איביך ישתחוו לך בני אביך
Ιουδα, σὲ αἰνέσαισαν οἱ ἀδελφοί σου· αἱ χεῖρές σου ἐπὶ νώτου τῶν ἐχθρῶν σου· προσκυνήσουσίν σοι οἱ υἱοὶ τοῦ πατρός σου.
Yehudàh, ⓘ; your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; the sons of your father shall bow down to you.

גור אריה יהודה מטרף בני עלית כרע רבץ כאריה וכלביא מי יקימנו
σκύμνος λέοντος Ιουδα· ἐκ βλαστοῦ, υἱέ μου, ἀνέβης· ἀναπεσὼν ἐκοιμήθης ὡς λέων καὶ ὡς σκύμνος· τίς ἐγερεῖ αὐτόν;
ⓘ is Yehudàh; from the ⓘ, my son, you have gone up; he has crouched, he has lain down like ⓘ: who will dare to rouse him?

לא יסור שבט מיהודה ומחקק מבין רגליו עד כי יבא שילה שילו ולו יקהת עמים
οὐκ ἐκλείψει ἄρχων ἐξ Ιουδα καὶ ἡγούμενος ἐκ τῶν μηρῶν αὐτοῦ, ἕως ἂν ἔλθῃ τὰ ἀποκείμενα αὐτῷ, καὶ αὐτὸς προσδοκία ἐθνῶν.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——There shall not fail a ⓘ from Yehudàh, nor a leader from between his thighs, until there come ⓘ; and he is ⓘ.—— Masoretic (MT) ——The ⓘ shall not depart from Yehudàh, nor the staff of command from between his feet, until ⓘ comes; and to him shall be ⓘ.

אסרי לגפן עירה עירו ולשרקה בני אתנו כבס ביין לבשו ובדם ענבים סותה סותו
δεσμεύων πρὸς ἄμπελον τὸν πῶλον αὐτοῦ καὶ τῇ ἕλικι τὸν πῶλον τῆς ὄνου αὐτοῦ· πλυνεῖ ἐν οἴνῳ τὴν στολὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν αἵματι σταφυλῆς τὴν περιβολὴν αὐτοῦ·
He binds ⓘ, to the ⓘ the foal of his she-donkey; he washes his ⓘ in wine, his mantle in the blood of grapes.

חכלילי עינים מיין ולבן שנים מחלב
χαροποὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ οἴνου, καὶ λευκοὶ οἱ ὀδόντες αὐτοῦ ἢ γάλα.
ⓘ, his teeth whiter than milk.

זבולן לחוף ימים ישכן והוא לחוף אניות וירכתו על צידן
Ζαβουλων παράλιος κατοικήσει, καὶ αὐτὸς παρ’ ὅρμον πλοίων, καὶ παρατενεῖ ἕως Σιδῶνος.
Zevulùn shall dwell by the seashore; he shall be a haven for ships, his flank turned towards Sidòn.

יששכר חמר גרם רבץ בין המשפתים
Ισσαχαρ τὸ καλὸν ἐπεθύμησεν ἀναπαυόμενος ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν κλήρων·
Issakàr is a ⓘ, crouching ⓘ;

וירא מנחה כי טוב ואת הארץ כי נעמה ויט שכמו לסבל ויהי למס עבד
καὶ ἰδὼν τὴν ἀνάπαυσιν ὅτι καλή, καὶ τὴν γῆν ὅτι πίων, ὑπέθηκεν τὸν ὦμον αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸ πονεῖν καὶ ἐγενήθη ἀνὴρ γεωργός.
he saw that rest was ⓘ and the land ⓘ; and he bent his shoulder to bear the burden, he became ⓘ.

דן ידין עמו כאחד שבטי ישראל
Δαν κρινεῖ τὸν ἑαυτοῦ λαὸν ὡσεὶ καὶ μία φυλὴ ἐν Ισραηλ.
Dan shall ⓘ his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.
17
יהי דן נחש עלי דרך שפיפן עלי ארח הנשך עקבי סוס ויפל רכבו אחור
καὶ γενηθήτω Δαν ὄφις ἐφ’ ὁδοῦ ἐγκαθήμενος ἐπὶ τρίβου, δάκνων πτέρναν ἵππου, καὶ πεσεῖται ὁ ἱππεὺς εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω.
Let Dan be ⓘ, ⓘ, that bites the heel of the horse, so that the rider falls backward.

לישועתך קויתי יהוה
τὴν σωτηρίαν περιμένω κυρίου.

גד גדוד יגודנו והוא יגד עקב
Γαδ, πειρατήριον πειρατεύσει αὐτόν, αὐτὸς δὲ πειρατεύσει αὐτῶν κατὰ πόδας.

מאשר שמנה לחמו והוא יתן מעדני מלך
Ασηρ, πίων αὐτοῦ ὁ ἄρτος, καὶ αὐτὸς δώσει τρυφὴν ἄρχουσιν.
From Ashèr comes ⓘ; he shall yield delicacies fit for kings.

נפתלי אילה שלחה הנתן אמרי שפר
Νεφθαλι στέλεχος ἀνειμένον, ἐπιδιδοὺς ἐν τῷ γενήματι κάλλος.

בן פרת יוסף בן פרת עלי עין בנות צעדה עלי שור
Υἱὸς ηὐξημένος Ιωσηφ, υἱὸς ηὐξημένος ζηλωτός, υἱός μου νεώτατος· πρός με ἀνάστρεψον.

וימררהו ורבו וישטמהו בעלי חצים
εἰς ὃν διαβουλευόμενοι ἐλοιδόρουν, καὶ ἐνεῖχον αὐτῷ κύριοι τοξευμάτων·

ותשב באיתן קשתו ויפזו זרעי ידיו מידי אביר יעקב משם רעה אבן ישראל
καὶ συνετρίβη μετὰ κράτους τὰ τόξα αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐξελύθη τὰ νεῦρα βραχιόνων χειρῶν αὐτῶν διὰ χεῖρα δυνάστου Ιακωβ, ἐκεῖθεν ὁ κατισχύσας Ισραηλ·

מאל אביך ויעזרך ואת שדי ויברכך ברכת שמים מעל ברכת תהום רבצת תחת ברכת שדים ורחם
παρὰ θεοῦ τοῦ πατρός σου, καὶ ἐβοήθησέν σοι ὁ θεὸς ὁ ἐμὸς καὶ εὐλόγησέν σε εὐλογίαν οὐρανοῦ ἄνωθεν καὶ εὐλογίαν γῆς ἐχούσης πάντα· ἕνεκεν εὐλογίας μαστῶν καὶ μήτρας,
by the God of your father, who helps you, by ⓘ, who blesses you: blessings of heaven above, blessings ⓘ, blessings of the breasts and of the womb.

ברכת אביך גברו על ברכת הורי עד תאות גבעת עולם תהיין לראש יוסף ולקדקד נזיר אחיו
εὐλογίας πατρός σου καὶ μητρός σου· ὑπερίσχυσεν ἐπ’ εὐλογίαις ὀρέων μονίμων καὶ ἐπ’ εὐλογίαις θινῶν ἀενάων· ἔσονται ἐπὶ κεφαλὴν Ιωσηφ καὶ ἐπὶ κορυφῆς ὧν ἡγήσατο ἀδελφῶν.
—— Septuagint (LXX) ——the blessings of your father ⓘ; ⓘ ⓘ: let them descend upon the head of Yosèf and upon the crown ⓘ.—— Masoretic (MT) ——The blessings of your father surpass the blessings of ⓘ, ⓘ, the worth of the eternal hills: let them descend upon the head of Yosèf, upon the head of the ⓘ.

בנימין זאב יטרף בבקר יאכל עד ולערב יחלק שלל
Βενιαμιν λύκος ἅρπαξ· τὸ πρωινὸν ἔδεται ἔτι καὶ εἰς τὸ ἑσπέρας διαδώσει τροφήν.
Binyamìn is ⓘ: in the morning he devours the prey, in the evening he ⓘ.

כל אלה שבטי ישראל שנים עשר וזאת אשר דבר להם אביהם ויברך אותם איש אשר כברכתו ברך אתם
Πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ιακωβ δώδεκα, καὶ ταῦτα ἐλάλησεν αὐτοῖς ὁ πατὴρ αὐτῶν καὶ εὐλόγησεν αὐτούς, ἕκαστον κατὰ τὴν εὐλογίαν αὐτοῦ εὐλόγησεν αὐτούς.
All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said to them; he blessed them, each according to his own blessing he blessed them.

ויצו אותם ויאמר אלהם אני נאסף אל עמי קברו אתי אל אבתי אל המערה אשר בשדה עפרון החתי
καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ἐγὼ προστίθεμαι πρὸς τὸν ἐμὸν λαόν· θάψατέ με μετὰ τῶν πατέρων μου ἐν τῷ σπηλαίῳ, ὅ ἐστιν ἐν τῷ ἀγρῷ Εφρων τοῦ Χετταίου,
And he commanded them, saying: «I am about to be ⓘ; bury me beside my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Efròn the Hittite,
30
במערה אשר בשדה המכפלה אשר על פני ממרא בארץ כנען אשר קנה אברהם את השדה מאת עפרן החתי לאחזת קבר
ἐν τῷ σπηλαίῳ τῷ διπλῷ τῷ ἀπέναντι Μαμβρη ἐν τῇ γῇ Χανααν, ὃ ἐκτήσατο Αβρααμ τὸ σπήλαιον παρὰ Εφρων τοῦ Χετταίου ἐν κτήσει μνημείου·
the cave of ⓘ facing Mamre, in the land of Kenaàn, the one that Avrahàm bought together with the field from Efròn the Hittite as a burial property.

שמה קברו את אברהם ואת שרה אשתו שמה קברו את יצחק ואת רבקה אשתו ושמה קברתי את לאה
ἐκεῖ ἔθαψαν Αβρααμ καὶ Σαρραν τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ, ἐκεῖ ἔθαψαν Ισαακ καὶ Ρεβεκκαν τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐκεῖ ἔθαψα Λειαν
There they buried Avrahàm and Saràh his wife, there they buried Yitzchàq and Rivqàh his wife, and there I buried Leàh.
32
מקנה השדה והמערה אשר בו מאת בני חת
ἐν κτήσει τοῦ ἀγροῦ καὶ τοῦ σπηλαίου τοῦ ὄντος ἐν αὐτῷ παρὰ τῶν υἱῶν Χετ.
The purchase of the field and of the cave was from the sons of Chet.
33
ויכל יעקב לצות את בניו ויאסף רגליו אל המטה ויגוע ויאסף אל עמיו
καὶ κατέπαυσεν Ιακωβ ἐπιτάσσων τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐξάρας τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὴν κλίνην ἐξέλιπεν καὶ προσετέθη πρὸς τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ.
And when Yaʿaqòv finished commanding his sons, he ⓘ, breathed his last and was gathered to his people.
