Καὶ ἀγγαρεύουσιν παράγοντά τινα Σίμωνα Κυρηναῖον ἐρχόμενον ἀπ’ ἀγροῦ, τὸν πατέρα Ἀλεξάνδρου καὶ Ῥούφου, ἵνα ἄρῃ τὸν σταυρὸν αὐτοῦ.
Costrinsero a portare la croce Simone di Cirene, padre di Alessandro e di Rufo.
And they compelⓘ one who was passing by, Simon of Cyreneⓘ coming from the countryⓘ, father of Alexándros and of Rhoûphosⓘ, to carry his crossⓘ.

καὶ φέρουσιν αὐτὸν ἐπὶ ⸀τὸν ⸀Γολγοθᾶν τόπον, ὅ ἐστιν ⸀μεθερμηνευόμενον Κρανίου Τόπος.
Lo condussero al Gòlgota, «luogo del cranio».
And they bring him to the place Gòlgotaⓘ, which translated is Kraníou Tóposⓘ.

καὶ ἐδίδουν ⸀αὐτῷ ἐσμυρνισμένον οἶνον, ⸀ὃς δὲ οὐκ ἔλαβεν.
Gli davano vino con mirra, ma non ne prese.
And they were giving him wine mingled with myrrhⓘ, but he did not take itⓘ.

καὶ ⸂σταυροῦσιν αὐτὸν καὶ⸃ διαμερίζονται τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ, βάλλοντες κλῆρον ἐπ’ αὐτὰ τίς τί ἄρῃ.
Lo crocifissero e si divisero le sue vesti, tirando a sorte.
And they crucifyⓘ him and divide his garmentsⓘ casting upon them kléronⓘ, who should carry off what.

Ἦν δὲ ὥρα τρίτη καὶ ἐσταύρωσαν αὐτόν.
Erano le nove del mattino.
It was the third hourⓘ and they crucified him.

καὶ ἦν ἡ ἐπιγραφὴ τῆς αἰτίας αὐτοῦ ἐπιγεγραμμένη· Ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων.
L'iscrizione diceva: «Il re dei Giudei».
And there was the inscriptionⓘ of his charge, written: «The king of the Jewsⓘ».

καὶ σὺν αὐτῷ σταυροῦσιν δύο λῃστάς, ἕνα ἐκ δεξιῶν καὶ ἕνα ἐξ εὐωνύμων ⸀αὐτοῦ.
Con lui crocifissero due ladroni.
And with him they crucify two armed rebels (biryonim) biryonimⓘ, one on the right and one on the left.

Καὶ οἱ παραπορευόμενοι ἐβλασφήμουν αὐτὸν κινοῦντες τὰς κεφαλὰς αὐτῶν καὶ λέγοντες· Οὐὰ ὁ καταλύων τὸν ναὸν καὶ ⸂οἰκοδομῶν ἐν τρισὶν ἡμέραις⸃,
I passanti lo insultavano scuotendo il capo.
And the passers-by blasphemedⓘ him shaking their headsⓘ and saying: «Ouáⓘ, you who destroy the naònⓘ and rebuild it in three days,

ὁμοίως καὶ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς ἐμπαίζοντες πρὸς ἀλλήλους μετὰ τῶν γραμματέων ἔλεγον· Ἄλλους ἔσωσεν, ἑαυτὸν οὐ δύναται σῶσαι·
Anche i capi dei sacerdoti e gli scribi si beffavano di lui.
Likewise also the kohanim of the temple leadership (the archiereîs, the Sadducean aristocracy) kohanim of the leadershipⓘ with the soferim (the scribes) soferimⓘ, mockingⓘ among themselves were saying: «He saved others, himself he cannot save;

⸂Καὶ γενομένης⸃ ὥρας ἕκτης σκότος ἐγένετο ἐφ’ ὅλην τὴν γῆν ἕως ὥρας ἐνάτης.
A mezzogiorno si fece buio su tutta la terra, fino alle tre del pomeriggio.
When the sixth hour came, darknessⓘ came over all the earth until the ninth hour — an apocalyptic signⓘ, a creational inversionⓘ.

καὶ τῇ ⸂ἐνάτῃ ὥρᾳ⸃ ἐβόησεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς φωνῇ ⸀μεγάλῃ· Ἐλωῒ ἐλωῒ ⸀λεμὰ σαβαχθάνι; ὅ ἐστιν μεθερμηνευόμενον Ὁ θεός μου ὁ θεός μου, εἰς τί ⸂ἐγκατέλιπές με⸃;
Alle tre Gesù gridò a gran voce: «Eloì, Eloì, lemà sabactàni?», che significa: «Dio mio, Dio mio, perché mi hai abbandonato?».
And at the ninth hour — the hour of the korban tamid, the perpetual afternoon sacrifice of the Temple korban tamidⓘ — Jesus cried out with a loud voice: «Elōì elōì lemà sabachthániⓘ», that is «my God, my God, why have you forsaken meⓘ?».

καί τινες τῶν παρεστηκότων ἀκούσαντες ἔλεγον· ⸀Ἴδε Ἠλίαν φωνεῖ.
Alcuni dei presenti, udito ciò, dicevano: «Ecco, chiama Elia!».
Some of those present: «Behold, he is calling Elijahⓘ!».

δραμὼν δέ ⸂τις καὶ⸃ γεμίσας σπόγγον ὄξους ⸀περιθεὶς καλάμῳ ἐπότιζεν αὐτόν, λέγων· Ἄφετε ἴδωμεν εἰ ἔρχεται Ἠλίας καθελεῖν αὐτόν.
Uno corse a inzuppare di aceto una spugna e, postala su una canna, gli dava da bere.
One ran, filled a sponge with vinegarⓘ and, placing it on a reed, gave him to drink: «Ápheteⓘ, let us see whether Elijah comes to take him down».

ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς ἀφεὶς φωνὴν μεγάλην ἐξέπνευσεν.
Ma Gesù, dando un forte grido, spirò.
Jesus, having uttered a loud cryⓘ, breathed his lastⓘ.

καὶ τὸ καταπέτασμα τοῦ ναοῦ ἐσχίσθη εἰς δύο ἀπ’ ἄνωθεν ἕως κάτω.
Il velo del tempio si squarciò in due, da cima a fondo.
The veilⓘ of the naós was torn in twoⓘ from top to bottomⓘ.

ἰδὼν δὲ ὁ κεντυρίων ὁ παρεστηκὼς ἐξ ἐναντίας αὐτοῦ ὅτι ⸀οὕτως ἐξέπνευσεν εἶπεν· Ἀληθῶς ⸂οὗτος ὁ ἄνθρωπος⸃ υἱὸς ⸂θεοῦ ἦν⸃.
Il centurione, che stava di fronte a lui, avendolo visto spirare in quel modo, disse: «Davvero quest'uomo era Figlio di Dio!».
Seeing the kentyríōnⓘ who stood facing him that he had thus breathed his last, said: «Trulyⓘ this man was the Son of Godⓘ».

Ἦσαν δὲ καὶ γυναῖκες ἀπὸ μακρόθεν θεωροῦσαι, ἐν ⸀αἷς καὶ ⸀Μαρία ἡ Μαγδαληνὴ καὶ Μαρία ⸀ἡ Ἰακώβου τοῦ μικροῦ καὶ ⸀Ἰωσῆτος μήτηρ καὶ Σαλώμη,
C'erano anche alcune donne, che osservavano da lontano, tra le quali Maria di Màgdala, Maria madre di Giacomo il minore e di Ioses, e Salome,
There were also women, from afarⓘ watching, among whom Mary of Magdalaⓘ, Mary mother of James the youngerⓘ and of Iosesⓘ, and Salomeⓘ,

⸀αἳ ὅτε ἦν ἐν τῇ Γαλιλαίᾳ ἠκολούθουν αὐτῷ καὶ διηκόνουν αὐτῷ, καὶ ἄλλαι πολλαὶ αἱ συναναβᾶσαι αὐτῷ εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα.
le quali, quando era in Galilea, lo seguivano e lo servivano, e molte altre che erano salite con lui a Gerusalemme.
who, when he was in Galileeⓘ, followedⓘ him and servedⓘ, and many others, who had gone up with him to Jerusalem in the Passover pilgrimage (aliyàh la-regel) aliyàh la-regelⓘ.
