Καὶ ⸀εἰσελθὼν πάλιν εἰς Καφαρναοὺμ δι’ ⸀ἡμερῶν ἠκούσθη ὅτι ⸂ἐν οἴκῳ⸃ ἐστίν·
Entrò di nuovo a Cafàrnao, dopo alcuni giorni. Si seppe che era in casa
He entered again into Capernaumⓘ, after some days; and it was heard that he was at homeⓘ

⸀καὶ συνήχθησαν πολλοὶ ὥστε μηκέτι χωρεῖν μηδὲ τὰ πρὸς τὴν θύραν, καὶ ἐλάλει αὐτοῖς τὸν λόγον.
e si radunarono tante persone che non vi era più posto neanche davanti alla porta; ed egli annunciava loro la Parola.
and many gathered together, so that there was no longer room, not even before the door; and he was proclaiming the Word to themⓘ.

καὶ ἔρχονται ⸂φέροντες πρὸς αὐτὸν παραλυτικὸν⸃ αἰρόμενον ὑπὸ τεσσάρων.
Vennero da lui portando un paralitico, sorretto da quattro persone.
They came bringing a paralyticⓘ carried by four menⓘ.

καὶ μὴ δυνάμενοι ⸀προσενέγκαι αὐτῷ διὰ τὸν ὄχλον ἀπεστέγασαν τὴν στέγην ὅπου ἦν, καὶ ἐξορύξαντες χαλῶσι τὸν κράβαττον ⸀ὅπου ὁ παραλυτικὸς κατέκειτο.
Non potendo però portarglielo innanzi, a causa della folla, scoperchiarono il tetto nel punto dove egli si trovava e, fatta un'apertura, calarono la barella su cui era adagiato il paralitico.
Being unable to enter because of the crowd, they uncovered the roofⓘ where Jesus was, and lowered the palletⓘ.

⸂καὶ ἰδὼν⸃ ὁ Ἰησοῦς τὴν πίστιν αὐτῶν λέγει τῷ παραλυτικῷ· Τέκνον, ⸂ἀφίενταί σου⸃ αἱ ⸀ἁμαρτίαι.
Gesù, vedendo la loro fede, disse al paralitico: «Figlio, ti sono perdonati i peccati».
Jesus, seeing their faithⓘ, said to the paralytic: «Sonⓘ, your sins are forgiven youⓘ».

ἦσαν δέ τινες τῶν γραμματέων ἐκεῖ καθήμενοι καὶ διαλογιζόμενοι ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις αὐτῶν·
Erano seduti là alcuni scribi e pensavano in cuor loro:
Some scribes (soferim)ⓘ were sitting there, the doctors of the oral Torah,

Τί οὗτος οὕτως λαλεῖ; ⸀βλασφημεῖ· τίς δύναται ἀφιέναι ἁμαρτίας εἰ μὴ εἷς ὁ θεός;
«Perché costui parla così? Bestemmia! Chi può perdonare i peccati, se non Dio solo?».
and they were reasoning in their heartsⓘ: «Why does this man speak thus? He blasphemes! Who can forgive sins but God aloneⓘ?» — for in the Second Temple period remission passed through the sacrifice (korban) offered by the priests (kohanim) at the Temple on Yom ha-Kippurimⓘ.

καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς ἐπιγνοὺς ὁ Ἰησοῦς τῷ πνεύματι αὐτοῦ ὅτι ⸀οὕτως διαλογίζονται ἐν ἑαυτοῖς ⸀λέγει αὐτοῖς· Τί ταῦτα διαλογίζεσθε ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν;
E subito Gesù, conoscendo nel suo spirito che così pensavano tra sé, disse loro: «Perché pensate queste cose nel vostro cuore?
And immediately Jesus, knowing in his spiritⓘ that they were thus reasoning within themselves, said: «Why do you reason these things in your hearts?

τί ἐστιν εὐκοπώτερον, εἰπεῖν τῷ παραλυτικῷ· ⸀Ἀφίενταί σου αἱ ἁμαρτίαι, ἢ εἰπεῖν· ⸀Ἔγειρε καὶ ἆρον ⸂τὸν κράβαττόν σου⸃ καὶ περιπάτει;
Che cosa è più facile: dire al paralitico Ti sono perdonati i peccati, oppure dire Àlzati, prendi la tua barella e cammina?
Which is easierⓘ, to say «your sins are forgiven» or «rise and walk»?

ἵνα δὲ εἰδῆτε ὅτι ἐξουσίαν ἔχει ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ⸂ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἀφιέναι ἁμαρτίας⸃— λέγει τῷ παραλυτικῷ·
Ora, perché sappiate che il Figlio dell'uomo ha il potere di perdonare i peccati sulla terra,
But that you may know that the Son of Man (bar enàsh, the celestial-human one of Dan 7) has authority to forgive sins on earthⓘ»:

Σοὶ λέγω, ⸀ἔγειρε ἆρον τὸν κράβαττόν σου καὶ ὕπαγε εἰς τὸν οἶκόν σου.
dico a te - disse al paralitico -: àlzati, prendi la tua barella e va' a casa tua».
«To you I say: rise, take up your pallet and go to your house».

καὶ ἠγέρθη ⸂καὶ εὐθὺς⸃ ἄρας τὸν κράβαττον ἐξῆλθεν ⸀ἔμπροσθεν πάντων, ὥστε ἐξίστασθαι πάντας καὶ δοξάζειν τὸν θεὸν λέγοντας ὅτι ⸂Οὕτως οὐδέποτε⸃ εἴδομεν.
Quello si alzò e subito prese la sua barella, sotto gli occhi di tutti se ne andò, e tutti si meravigliarono e lodavano Dio dicendo: «Non abbiamo mai visto nulla di simile!».
He rose and immediately, having taken up the pallet, went out before them allⓘ, so that all were beside themselvesⓘ and glorified Godⓘ, saying: «We have never seen anything like this!».
