Καὶ πάλιν ἐξελθὼν ἐκ τῶν ὁρίων Τύρου ⸂ἦλθεν διὰ Σιδῶνος εἰς⸃ τὴν θάλασσαν τῆς Γαλιλαίας ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν ὁρίων Δεκαπόλεως.
Di ritorno dalla regione di Tiro, passando per Sidone, venne verso il mare di Galilea in pieno territorio della Decàpoli.
And again, having departed from the region of Tyreⓘ, through Sidon he came to the Sea of Galileeⓘ, into the midst of the region of the Decapolisⓘ.

καὶ φέρουσιν αὐτῷ κωφὸν ⸀καὶ ⸀μογιλάλον, καὶ παρακαλοῦσιν αὐτὸν ἵνα ἐπιθῇ αὐτῷ τὴν χεῖρα.
Gli portarono un sordomuto e lo pregarono di imporgli la mano.
And they bring to himⓘ a man deaf and barely able to speakⓘ, and they were begging himⓘ to lay his hand upon him.

καὶ ἀπολαβόμενος αὐτὸν ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄχλου κατ’ ἰδίαν ἔβαλεν τοὺς δακτύλους αὐτοῦ εἰς τὰ ὦτα αὐτοῦ καὶ πτύσας ἥψατο τῆς γλώσσης αὐτοῦ,
Lo prese in disparte, lontano dalla folla, gli pose le dita negli orecchi e con la saliva gli toccò la lingua;
And taking him aside, away from the crowdⓘ, he put his fingers into his earsⓘ and, having spatⓘ, with the saliva (rōq) he touched his tongueⓘ;

καὶ ἀναβλέψας εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν ἐστέναξεν, καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· Εφφαθα, ὅ ἐστιν Διανοίχθητι·
guardando quindi verso il cielo, emise un sospiro e gli disse: «Effatà», cioè: «Apriti!».
and looking up to heaven, he groanedⓘ and says to him: «Ephphatha, that is: Be openedⓘ!».

⸀καὶ ⸀ἠνοίγησαν αὐτοῦ αἱ ἀκοαί, καὶ ἐλύθη ὁ δεσμὸς τῆς γλώσσης αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐλάλει ὀρθῶς·
E subito gli si aprirono gli orecchi, si sciolse il nodo della sua lingua e parlava correttamente.
And immediatelyⓘ his ears were openedⓘ, the bond of his tongue was loosedⓘ, and he was speaking rightlyⓘ.

καὶ διεστείλατο αὐτοῖς ἵνα μηδενὶ ⸀λέγωσιν· ὅσον δὲ ⸂αὐτοῖς διεστέλλετο, αὐτοὶ⸃ μᾶλλον περισσότερον ἐκήρυσσον.
E comandò loro di non dirlo a nessuno. Ma più lo proibiva, più essi lo proclamavano
And he ordered them to tell no oneⓘ; but the more he forbade them, the more they proclaimed itⓘ.

καὶ ὑπερπερισσῶς ἐξεπλήσσοντο λέγοντες· Καλῶς πάντα πεποίηκεν, καὶ τοὺς κωφοὺς ποιεῖ ἀκούειν ⸀καὶ ἀλάλους λαλεῖν.
e, pieni di stupore, dicevano: «Ha fatto bene ogni cosa: fa udire i sordi e fa parlare i muti!».
And beyond all measure they were struck with astonishmentⓘ, saying: «He has done all things well: he makes the deaf hear and the mute speakⓘ, signs of the yemot ha-mashiach (the days of the Messiah awaited by Israel)!».
