Greekκαὶ τοῦτο εἰποῦσα ἀπῆλθεν καὶ ἐφώνησεν Μαρίαν τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτῆς λάθρᾳ εἰποῦσα· Ὁ διδάσκαλος πάρεστιν καὶ φωνεῖ σε.
Orthodox ReadingAnd having said this, she went and called Maryⓘ her sister secretlyⓘ, saying: «The Teacherⓘ is here and is calling you».

Greekἐκείνη δὲ ὡς ἤκουσεν, ἠγέρθη ταχὺ καὶ ἤρχετο πρὸς αὐτόν·

Greekοἱ οὖν Ἰουδαῖοι οἱ ὄντες μετ' αὐτῆς ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ καὶ παραμυθούμενοι αὐτήν, ἰδόντες τὴν Μαρίαν ὅτι ταχέως ἀνέστη καὶ ἐξῆλθεν, ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῇ, δόξαντες ὅτι ὑπάγει εἰς τὸ μνημεῖον ἵνα κλαύσῃ ἐκεῖ.
Orthodox ReadingThe Jews (Ioudaîoi), the countrymen who had come from Judea for the mourning and not a hostile bloc, who were with her in the house and were consoling herⓘ, seeing Mary who had risen quickly and gone out, followed her, supposingⓘ that she was going to the tombⓘ to weep thereⓘ.

Greekἡ οὖν Μαρία ὡς ἦλθεν ὅπου ἦν Ἰησοῦς, ἰδοῦσα αὐτὸν ἔπεσεν αὐτοῦ πρὸς τοὺς πόδας, λέγουσα αὐτῷ· Κύριε, εἰ ἦς ὧδε οὐκ ἄν μου ἀπέθανεν ὁ ἀδελφός.

Greekτινὲς δὲ ἐξ αὐτῶν εἶπαν· Οὐκ ἐδύνατο οὗτος ὁ ἀνοίξας τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς τοῦ τυφλοῦ ποιῆσαι ἵνα καὶ οὗτος μὴ ἀποθάνῃ;
