καὶ βαστάζων ⸂αὑτῷ τὸν σταυρὸν⸃ ἐξῆλθεν εἰς ⸀τὸν λεγόμενον Κρανίου Τόπον, ⸀ὃ λέγεται Ἑβραϊστὶ Γολγοθα,
Egli, portando la croce, si avviò verso il luogo detto del Cranio, in ebraico Gòlgota,
And he, bearing the cross by himselfⓘ went out to the place called of the Skullⓘ, which is called in Hebrew Golgothaⓘ,

ὅπου αὐτὸν ἐσταύρωσαν, καὶ μετ’ αὐτοῦ ἄλλους δύο ἐντεῦθεν καὶ ἐντεῦθεν, μέσον δὲ τὸν Ἰησοῦν.
dove lo crocifissero e con lui altri due, uno da una parte e uno dall'altra, e Gesù in mezzo.
where they crucified himⓘ, and with him two othersⓘ, one on this side and one on that, and Jesus in the midstⓘ.

ἔγραψεν δὲ καὶ τίτλον ὁ Πιλᾶτος καὶ ἔθηκεν ἐπὶ τοῦ σταυροῦ· ἦν δὲ γεγραμμένον· Ἰησοῦς ὁ Ναζωραῖος ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων.
Pilato compose anche l'iscrizione e la fece porre sulla croce; vi era scritto: «Gesù il Nazareno, il re dei Giudei».
Pilate also wrote a titulusⓘ and set it over the cross; on it was written: «Jesus the Nazorean, the king of the Jewsⓘ».

τοῦτον οὖν τὸν τίτλον πολλοὶ ἀνέγνωσαν τῶν Ἰουδαίων, ὅτι ἐγγὺς ἦν ὁ τόπος τῆς πόλεως ὅπου ἐσταυρώθη ὁ Ἰησοῦς· καὶ ἦν γεγραμμένον Ἑβραϊστί, ⸂Ῥωμαϊστί, Ἑλληνιστί⸃.
Molti Giudei lessero questa iscrizione, perché il luogo dove Gesù fu crocifisso era vicino alla città; era scritta in ebraico, in latino e in greco.
Many of the Judeans read this titulusⓘ, because the place where Jesus was crucifiedⓘ was near; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, in Greekⓘ.

ἔλεγον οὖν τῷ Πιλάτῳ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς τῶν Ἰουδαίων· Μὴ γράφε· Ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων, ἀλλ’ ὅτι ἐκεῖνος εἶπεν Βασιλεὺς ⸂τῶν Ἰουδαίων εἰμί⸃.
I capi dei sacerdoti dei Giudei dissero allora a Pilato: «Non scrivere: il re dei Giudei, ma che egli ha detto: Io sono il re dei Giudei».
The archiereîs (the kohanim of the temple's summit), chief priests of the Judeansⓘ therefore said to Pilate: «Do not write: the king of the Judeans, but that he said: I am king of the Judeans».

ἀπεκρίθη ὁ Πιλᾶτος· Ὃ γέγραφα γέγραφα.
Rispose Pilato: «Quel che ho scritto, ho scritto».
Pilate answered: «What I have written, I have writtenⓘ».

οἱ οὖν στρατιῶται ὅτε ἐσταύρωσαν τὸν Ἰησοῦν ἔλαβον τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐποίησαν τέσσαρα μέρη, ἑκάστῳ στρατιώτῃ μέρος, καὶ τὸν χιτῶνα. ἦν δὲ ὁ χιτὼν ἄραφος, ἐκ τῶν ἄνωθεν ὑφαντὸς δι’ ὅλου·
I soldati poi, quando ebbero crocifisso Gesù, presero le sue vesti, ne fecero quattro parti, una per ciascun soldato, e la tunica. Ma quella tunica era senza cuciture, tessuta tutta d'un pezzo da cima a fondo.
The soldiersⓘ then, when they had crucified Jesusⓘ, took his garments and made four parts, one for each soldier, and the tunicⓘ. The tunic was seamless, like the chetonet of the kohen gadolⓘ, woven whole in one piece from the top.

εἶπαν οὖν πρὸς ἀλλήλους· Μὴ σχίσωμεν αὐτόν, ἀλλὰ λάχωμεν περὶ αὐτοῦ τίνος ἔσται· ἵνα ἡ γραφὴ πληρωθῇ ⸂ἡ λέγουσα⸃· Διεμερίσαντο τὰ ἱμάτιά μου ἑαυτοῖς καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν ἱματισμόν μου ἔβαλον κλῆρον. Οἱ μὲν οὖν στρατιῶται ταῦτα ἐποίησαν.
Perciò dissero tra loro: «Non stracciamola, ma tiriamo a sorte a chi tocca». Così si compiva la Scrittura: «Si sono divisi le mie vesti e sulla mia tunica hanno gettato la sorte». E i soldati fecero così.
Let us not tear itⓘ, but let us cast lots for whose it shall be»; that the Scripture might be fulfilledⓘ: «They divided my garments among themselves and upon my vesture they cast the lotⓘ». And the soldiers did these things.

Εἱστήκεισαν δὲ παρὰ τῷ σταυρῷ τοῦ Ἰησοῦ ἡ μήτηρ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἡ ἀδελφὴ τῆς μητρὸς αὐτοῦ, Μαρία ἡ τοῦ Κλωπᾶ καὶ Μαρία ἡ Μαγδαληνή.
Stavano presso la croce di Gesù sua madre, la sorella di sua madre, Maria madre di Clèopa e Maria di Màgdala.
There stood by the crossⓘ of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary of Clopas, and Mary the Magdaleneⓘ.

Ἰησοῦς οὖν ἰδὼν τὴν μητέρα καὶ τὸν μαθητὴν παρεστῶτα ὃν ἠγάπα λέγει τῇ ⸀μητρί· Γύναι, ⸀ἴδε ὁ υἱός σου·
Gesù allora, vedendo la madre e accanto a lei il discepolo che egli amava, disse alla madre: «Donna, ecco tuo figlio!».
Jesus then, seeing his mother and the disciple whom he lovedⓘ standing by, says to his mother: «Woman, behold your sonⓘ»;

εἶτα λέγει τῷ μαθητῇ· ⸀Ἴδε ἡ μήτηρ σου. καὶ ἀπ’ ἐκείνης τῆς ὥρας ἔλαβεν ὁ μαθητὴς αὐτὴν εἰς τὰ ἴδια.
Poi disse al discepolo: «Ecco tua madre!». E da quell'ora il discepolo l'accolse con sé.
then he says to the disciple: «Behold your motherⓘ». And from that hour the disciple took her among his ownⓘ.

Μετὰ τοῦτο ⸀εἰδὼς ὁ Ἰησοῦς ὅτι ⸂ἤδη πάντα⸃ τετέλεσται ἵνα τελειωθῇ ἡ γραφὴ λέγει· Διψῶ.
Dopo questo, Gesù, sapendo che ormai tutto era compiuto, affinché si compisse la Scrittura, disse: «Ho sete».
After this, Jesus knowing that all was now accomplishedⓘ, that the Scripture might be fulfilledⓘ says: «I thirstⓘ».

⸀σκεῦος ἔκειτο ὄξους μεστόν· ⸂σπόγγον οὖν μεστὸν τοῦ⸃ ὄξους ⸀ὑσσώπῳ περιθέντες προσήνεγκαν αὐτοῦ τῷ στόματι.
Vi era lì un vaso pieno di aceto; posero perciò una spugna, imbevuta di aceto, in cima a una canna di issopo e gliela accostarono alla bocca.
A vessel full of vinegarⓘ was set there; a sponge full of vinegar, set upon a hyssop (the herb of the Pesach aspersion)ⓘ they brought to his mouth.

ὅτε οὖν ἔλαβεν τὸ ὄξος ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν· Τετέλεσται, καὶ κλίνας τὴν κεφαλὴν παρέδωκεν τὸ πνεῦμα.
Dopo aver preso l'aceto, Gesù disse: «È compiuto!». E, chinato il capo, consegnò lo spirito.
When therefore he had taken the vinegar, Jesus said: «It is accomplishedⓘ»; and bowing his head, he handed over the spiritⓘ.
