Τῇ ἐπαύριον ἠθέλησεν ἐξελθεῖν εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν, καὶ εὑρίσκει Φίλιππον. καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Ἀκολούθει μοι.
Il giorno dopo Gesù volle partire per la Galilea; trovò Filippo e gli disse: 'Seguimi!'.
The next day Jesus wanted to set out toward Galileeⓘ, and he finds Philip. And he says to him: «Follow meⓘ.»

ἦν δὲ ὁ Φίλιππος ἀπὸ Βηθσαϊδά, ἐκ τῆς πόλεως Ἀνδρέου καὶ Πέτρου.
Filippo era di Betsàida, la città di Andrea e di Pietro.
Philip was from Bethsaidaⓘ, from the same town as Andrew and Peter.

εὑρίσκει Φίλιππος τὸν Ναθαναὴλ καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· Ὃν ἔγραψεν Μωϋσῆς ἐν τῷ νόμῳ καὶ οἱ προφῆται εὑρήκαμεν, Ἰησοῦν υἱὸν τοῦ Ἰωσὴφ τὸν ἀπὸ Ναζαρέτ.
Filippo trovò Natanaele e gli disse: 'Abbiamo trovato colui del quale hanno scritto Mosè, nella Legge, e i Profeti: Gesù, il figlio di Giuseppe, di Nàzaret'.
Philip finds Nathanael and says to him: «The one of whom Mosheh wrote in the Torahⓘ and the Prophetsⓘ, we have found him: he is Jesus son of Joseph, from Natzrat.»

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Ναθαναήλ· Ἐκ Ναζαρὲτ δύναταί τι ἀγαθὸν εἶναι; λέγει αὐτῷ Φίλιππος· Ἔρχου καὶ ἴδε.
Natanaele gli disse: 'Da Nàzaret può venire qualcosa di buono?'. Filippo gli rispose: 'Vieni e vedi'.
And Nathanael answered him: «Can anything good come from Natzrat?ⓘ» Philip says to him: «Come and see.»

εἶδεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς τὸν Ναθαναὴλ ἐρχόμενον πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ λέγει περὶ αὐτοῦ· Ἴδε ἀληθῶς Ἰσραηλίτης ἐν ᾧ δόλος οὐκ ἔστιν.
Gesù intanto, visto Natanaele che gli veniva incontro, disse di lui: 'Ecco davvero un Israelita in cui non c'è falsità'.
Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him, and says of him: «Here truly is an authentic Israeliteⓘ, in whom there is no deceit at allⓘ.»

λέγει αὐτῷ Ναθαναήλ· Πόθεν με γινώσκεις; ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Πρὸ τοῦ σε Φίλιππον φωνῆσαι ὄντα ὑπὸ τὴν συκῆν εἶδόν σε.
Natanaele gli domandò: 'Come mi conosci?'. Gli rispose Gesù: 'Prima che Filippo ti chiamasse, io ti ho visto quando eri sotto l'albero di fichi'.
Nathanael says to him: «From where do you know me?ⓘ» Jesus answered: «Before Philip called you, while you were under the fig treeⓘ, I saw you.»

ἀπεκρίθη αὐτῷ Ναθαναήλ· Ῥαββί, σὺ εἶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ, σὺ βασιλεὺς εἶ τοῦ Ἰσραήλ.
Gli replicò Natanaele: 'Rabbì, tu sei il Figlio di Dio, tu sei il re d'Israele!'.
Nathanael answered him: «Rabbiⓘ, you are the Son of God, you are the King of Israelⓘ.»

ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Ὅτι εἶπόν σοι ὅτι εἶδόν σε ὑποκάτω τῆς συκῆς, πιστεύεις; μείζω τούτων ὄψῃ.
Gli rispose Gesù: 'Perché ti ho detto che ti avevo visto sotto l'albero di fichi, tu credi? Vedrai cose più grandi di queste!'.
Jesus answered: «Because I told you: «I saw you under the fig treeⓘ», do you believe? Greater things than these you will see.»

καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· Ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ὄψεσθε τὸν οὐρανὸν ἀνεῳγότα καὶ τοὺς ἀγγέλους τοῦ θεοῦ ἀναβαίνοντας καὶ καταβαίνοντας ἐπὶ τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου.
Poi gli disse: 'In verità, in verità io vi dico: vedrete il cielo aperto e gli angeli di Dio salire e scendere sopra il Figlio dell'uomo'.
And he says to him: «Amèn amènⓘ I say to you: you will see heaven thrown openⓘ and the angels of God ascending and descendingⓘ upon the Son of Manⓘ.»
