15
Now Shimʿon Petros was followingⓘ Jesus, Shim'on Petrosⓘ and so did another discipleⓘ. That discipleⓘ was known to the high priest (archiereus, kohen of the temple summit)ⓘ, and he entered with Jesus into the inner courtyardⓘ of the high priest.
16
But Petros stood outsideⓘ at the doorⓘ. So the other disciple, the one known to the high priest, went out and spoke to the doorkeeperⓘ and brought Petros in.
17
The young doorkeeperⓘ then says to Petros: «You are not also one of this man's disciples, are youⓘ?» He says: «I am notⓘ».
18
The slaves and the Temple attendants (the doûloi and the hypēretai)ⓘ were standingⓘ, having kindled a charcoal fireⓘ, because it was coldⓘ, and they were warming themselvesⓘ; Petros too was with themⓘ, standing and warming himselfⓘ.
