Ἡ οὖν σπεῖρα καὶ ὁ χιλίαρχος καὶ οἱ ὑπηρέται τῶν Ἰουδαίων συνέλαβον τὸν Ἰησοῦν καὶ ἔδησαν αὐτὸν
Allora i soldati, con il comandante e le guardie dei Giudei, catturarono Gesù, lo legarono
The Roman cohort (speîra)ⓘ, therefore, with the military tribune (chiliarchos)ⓘ, and the Temple guards — the attendants (hypēretai), the chazzanim of the Sanhedrinⓘ — seizedⓘ Jesus and boundⓘ him,

καὶ ἤγαγον πρὸς Ἅνναν πρῶτον· ἦν γὰρ πενθερὸς τοῦ Καϊάφα, ὃς ἦν ἀρχιερεὺς τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ ἐκείνου·
e lo condussero prima da Anna: egli infatti era suocero di Caifa, che era sommo sacerdote quell'anno.

ἦν δὲ Καϊάφας ὁ συμβουλεύσας τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις ὅτι συμφέρει ἕνα ἄνθρωπον ἀποθανεῖν ὑπὲρ τοῦ λαοῦ.
Caifa era quello che aveva consigliato ai Giudei: 'È conveniente che un solo uomo muoia per il popolo'.
