GreekΟὗτός ἐστιν ὁ μαθητὴς ὁ μαρτυρῶν περὶ τούτων καὶ ὁ γράψας ταῦτα, καὶ οἴδαμεν ὅτι ἀληθὴς αὐτοῦ ἡ μαρτυρία ἐστίν.
Orthodox ReadingThis is the disciple discipleⓘ — the beloved disciple — who bears witness bears witnessⓘ to these things and who wrote them, and we know we knowⓘ — we, the community that authenticates this writing — that true is his testimony testimonyⓘ, his valid and binding testimony.
