Οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ μαθητὴς ὁ μαρτυρῶν περὶ τούτων καὶ ὁ γράψας ταῦτα, καὶ οἴδαμεν ὅτι ἀληθὴς αὐτοῦ ἡ μαρτυρία ἐστίν.
Questi è il discepolo che testimonia queste cose e le ha scritte, e noi sappiamo che la sua testimonianza è vera.
This is the disciple discipleⓘ — the beloved disciple — who bears witness bears witnessⓘ to these things and who wrote them, and we know we knowⓘ — we, the community that authenticates this writing — that true is his testimony testimonyⓘ, his valid and binding testimony.

Ἔστιν δὲ καὶ ἄλλα πολλὰ ἃ ἐποίησεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς, ἅτινα ἐὰν γράφηται καθ' ἕν, οὐδ' αὐτὸν οἶμαι τὸν κόσμον χωρῆσαι τὰ γραφόμενα βιβλία.
Vi sono ancora molte altre cose compiute da Gesù che, se fossero scritte una per una, penso che il mondo stesso non basterebbe a contenere i libri che si dovrebbero scrivere.
There are also many other things that Jesus did Jesusⓘ, which, were they to be written writtenⓘ one by one, not even the world worldⓘ itself, I suppose, would contain the books booksⓘ that would be written — according to the rabbinic hyperbole of inexhaustibility hyperboleⓘ, as the masters say that the Torah Torahⓘ never allows itself to be contained.
