Ταῦτα ἐν παροιμίαις λελάληκα ὑμῖν· ἔρχεται ὥρα ὅτε οὐκέτι ἐν παροιμίαις λαλήσω ὑμῖν, ἀλλὰ παρρησίᾳ περὶ τοῦ πατρὸς ἀπαγγελῶ ὑμῖν.
'Vi ho detto queste cose in modo velato, ma viene l'ora in cui non vi parlerò più in modo velato e apertamente vi parlerò del Padre.
«These things I have spoken to you in ⓘ; the ⓘ is coming when no longer in veiled discourses will I speak to you, but ⓘ of the Father I will announce to you.

ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί μου αἰτήσεσθε, καὶ οὐ λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐρωτήσω τὸν πατέρα περὶ ὑμῶν·
In quel giorno chiederete nel mio nome e non vi dico che pregherò il Padre per voi:
On that ⓘ you will ⓘ in my Name, and I do not say to you that I will ⓘ the Father for you:

αὐτὸς γὰρ ὁ πατὴρ φιλεῖ ὑμᾶς, ὅτι ὑμεῖς ἐμὲ πεφιλήκατε καὶ πεπιστεύκατε ὅτι ἐγὼ παρὰ τοῦ θεοῦ ἐξῆλθον.
il Padre stesso infatti vi ama, perché voi avete amato me e avete creduto che io sono uscito da Dio.
for the Father himself ⓘ, because you have ⓘ me and have ⓘ that I ⓘ.

ἐξῆλθον παρὰ τοῦ πατρὸς καὶ ἐλήλυθα εἰς τὸν κόσμον· πάλιν ἀφίημι τὸν κόσμον καὶ πορεύομαι πρὸς τὸν πατέρα.
Sono uscito dal Padre e sono venuto nel mondo; ora lascio di nuovo il mondo e vado al Padre'.
I came forth from the Father and have come into the ⓘ; again I ⓘ the world and ⓘ to the Father.»

Λέγουσιν οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ· Ἴδε νῦν ἐν παρρησίᾳ λαλεῖς, καὶ παροιμίαν οὐδεμίαν λέγεις.
Gli dicono i suoi discepoli: 'Ecco, ora parli apertamente e non più in modo velato.
His ⓘ say to him: «Behold, now you speak openly, and no ⓘ do you utter.

νῦν οἴδαμεν ὅτι οἶδας πάντα καὶ οὐ χρείαν ἔχεις ἵνα τίς σε ἐρωτᾷ· ἐν τούτῳ πιστεύομεν ὅτι ἀπὸ θεοῦ ἐξῆλθες.
Ora sappiamo che tu sai tutto e non hai bisogno che alcuno t'interroghi. Per questo crediamo che sei uscito da Dio'.
Now we ⓘ that you know all things and have no need that anyone question you; ⓘ we believe that you ⓘ.»

ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς Ἰησοῦς· Ἄρτι πιστεύετε;
Rispose loro Gesù: 'Adesso credete?
Jesus answered them: «Now do you ⓘ?

ἰδοὺ ἔρχεται ὥρα καὶ ἐλήλυθεν ἵνα σκορπισθῆτε ἕκαστος εἰς τὰ ἴδια κἀμὲ μόνον ἀφῆτε· καὶ οὐκ εἰμὶ μόνος, ὅτι ὁ πατὴρ μετ' ἐμοῦ ἐστιν.
Ecco, viene l'ora, anzi è già venuta, in cui vi disperderete ciascuno per conto suo e mi lascerete solo; ma io non sono solo, perché il Padre è con me.
ⓘ, the ⓘ is coming, and has come, when you will be ⓘ each to ⓘ, and will ⓘ; and I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

ταῦτα λελάληκα ὑμῖν ἵνα ἐν ἐμοὶ εἰρήνην ἔχητε· ἐν τῷ κόσμῳ θλῖψιν ἔχετε, ἀλλὰ θαρσεῖτε, ἐγὼ νενίκηκα τὸν κόσμον.
Vi ho detto questo perché abbiate pace in me. Nel mondo avete tribolazioni, ma abbiate coraggio: io ho vinto il mondo!'
These things I have spoken to you so that in me you may have ⓘ. In the world you have ⓘ; but ⓘ: I have ⓘ the world.»
