Gnostic TranslationTommaso, uno dei Dodici, chiamato Dìdimo, non era con loro quando venne Gesù.

Greekἔλεγον οὖν αὐτῷ οἱ ἄλλοι μαθηταί· Ἑωράκαμεν τὸν κύριον. ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Ἐὰν μὴ ἴδω ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν αὐτοῦ τὸν τύπον τῶν ἥλων καὶ βάλω τὸν δάκτυλόν μου εἰς τὸν τύπον τῶν ἥλων καὶ βάλω ⸂μου τὴν χεῖρα⸃ εἰς τὴν πλευρὰν αὐτοῦ, οὐ μὴ πιστεύσω.
Gnostic TranslationGli dicevano gli altri discepoli: «Abbiamo visto il Signore!». Ma egli disse loro: «Se non vedo nelle sue mani il segno dei chiodi e non metto il mio dito nel segno dei chiodi e non metto la mia mano nel suo fianco, io non credo».
Orthodox ReadingThe other disciplesⓘ said to him: «We have seenⓘ the Lord!». But he said to them: «Unless I seeⓘ in his hands the mark of the nailsⓘ and put my finger into the mark of the nails, and put my hand into his sideⓘ, I will not believeⓘ».

GreekΚαὶ μεθ’ ἡμέρας ὀκτὼ πάλιν ἦσαν ἔσω οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ Θωμᾶς μετ’ αὐτῶν. ἔρχεται ὁ Ἰησοῦς τῶν θυρῶν κεκλεισμένων, καὶ ἔστη εἰς τὸ μέσον καὶ εἶπεν· Εἰρήνη ὑμῖν.
Gnostic TranslationOtto giorni dopo i discepoli erano di nuovo in casa e c'era con loro anche Tommaso. Venne Gesù, a porte chiuse, stette in mezzo e disse: «Pace a voi!».
Orthodox ReadingAfter eight daysⓘ the disciples were again insideⓘ, and Thomas was with them. Jesus comes though the doors were shutⓘ, he stood in the midstⓘ and said: «Peace to youⓘ».

Gnostic TranslationPoi disse a Tommaso: «Metti qui il tuo dito e guarda le mie mani; tendi la tua mano e mettila nel mio fianco; e non essere incredulo, ma credente!».
Orthodox ReadingThen he says to Thomas: «Bring your finger hereⓘ and look atⓘ my hands; stretch out your hand and put it into my side; and do not be unbelieving but believingⓘ».

Gnostic TranslationGesù gli disse: «Perché mi hai veduto, tu hai creduto; beati quelli che non hanno visto e hanno creduto!».
Orthodox ReadingJesus says to him: «Because you have seen meⓘ, you have believed? Blessedⓘ are those who have not seen and yet have believedⓘ!».
