GreekΤῇ ἐπαύριον ὁ ὄχλος ὁ ἑστηκὼς πέραν τῆς θαλάσσης εἶδον ὅτι πλοιάριον ἄλλο οὐκ ἦν ἐκεῖ εἰ μὴ ἓν καὶ ὅτι οὐ συνεισῆλθεν τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἰς τὸ πλοῖον ἀλλὰ μόνοι οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ ἀπῆλθον·
Orthodox ReadingThe next day, the great crowd of am ha-aretzⓘ that had stayed on the other shore of the sea saw that there was no other boat there except one alone, and that Jesus had not gone with his disciplesⓘ into the boat, but that the disciples had departed alone;

Greekἄλλα ἦλθεν πλοιάρια ἐκ Τιβεριάδος ἐγγὺς τοῦ τόπου ὅπου ἔφαγον τὸν ἄρτον εὐχαριστήσαντος τοῦ κυρίου.
Orthodox Readingother boats had come from Tiberiasⓘ near the place where they had eaten the bread, after the Lord had pronounced the berakhah over the breadⓘ, the blessing that precedes the meal.

Greekὅτε οὖν εἶδεν ὁ ὄχλος ὅτι Ἰησοῦς οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκεῖ οὐδὲ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ, ἐνέβησαν αὐτοὶ εἰς τὰ πλοιάρια καὶ ἦλθον εἰς Καφαρναοὺμ ζητοῦντες τὸν Ἰησοῦν.
Orthodox ReadingWhen therefore the crowd saw that Jesus was no longer there, nor his disciples either, they too got into the boats and headed for Capernaumⓘ, seeking Jesus.

Greekἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν· Ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ζητεῖτέ με οὐχ ὅτι εἴδετε σημεῖα, ἀλλ' ὅτι ἐφάγετε ἐκ τῶν ἄρτων καὶ ἐχορτάσθητε.
Orthodox ReadingJesus answered them and said: «Amen, amen, I say to youⓘ: you seek me not because you saw the signsⓘ, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.

Orthodox ReadingJesus answered and said to them: «This is the work of Godⓘ: that you have faithⓘ in the one whom He has sent as his shaliachⓘ, the envoy who carries the authority of the one who sends him».
