Τῇ ἐπαύριον ὁ ὄχλος ὁ ἑστηκὼς πέραν τῆς θαλάσσης εἶδον ὅτι πλοιάριον ἄλλο οὐκ ἦν ἐκεῖ εἰ μὴ ἓν καὶ ὅτι οὐ συνεισῆλθεν τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἰς τὸ πλοῖον ἀλλὰ μόνοι οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ ἀπῆλθον·
Il giorno dopo, la folla, rimasta dall'altra parte del mare, vide che c'era soltanto una barca e che Gesù non era salito con i suoi discepoli sulla barca, ma i suoi discepoli erano partiti da soli.
The next day, the ⓘ that had stayed on the other shore of the sea saw that there was no other boat there except one alone, and that Jesus had not gone ⓘ into the boat, but that the disciples had departed alone;

ἄλλα ἦλθεν πλοιάρια ἐκ Τιβεριάδος ἐγγὺς τοῦ τόπου ὅπου ἔφαγον τὸν ἄρτον εὐχαριστήσαντος τοῦ κυρίου.
Altre barche erano giunte da Tiberìade, vicino al luogo dove avevano mangiato il pane, dopo che il Signore aveva reso grazie.
other boats had come from ⓘ near the place where they had eaten the bread, after the Lord had pronounced the ⓘ, the blessing that precedes the meal.

ὅτε οὖν εἶδεν ὁ ὄχλος ὅτι Ἰησοῦς οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκεῖ οὐδὲ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ, ἐνέβησαν αὐτοὶ εἰς τὰ πλοιάρια καὶ ἦλθον εἰς Καφαρναοὺμ ζητοῦντες τὸν Ἰησοῦν.
Quando dunque la folla vide che Gesù non era più là e nemmeno i suoi discepoli, salì sulle barche e si diresse alla volta di Cafàrnao alla ricerca di Gesù.
When therefore the crowd saw that Jesus was no longer there, nor his disciples either, they too got into the boats and headed for ⓘ, seeking Jesus.

καὶ εὑρόντες αὐτὸν πέραν τῆς θαλάσσης εἶπον αὐτῷ· Ῥαββί, πότε ὧδε γέγονας;
Lo trovarono di là dal mare e gli dissero: 'Rabbì, quando sei venuto qua?'.
And having found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him: «ⓘ, when did you get here?».

ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν· Ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ζητεῖτέ με οὐχ ὅτι εἴδετε σημεῖα, ἀλλ' ὅτι ἐφάγετε ἐκ τῶν ἄρτων καὶ ἐχορτάσθητε.
Gesù rispose loro: 'In verità, in verità io vi dico: voi mi cercate non perché avete visto dei segni, ma perché avete mangiato di quei pani e vi siete saziati.
Jesus answered them and said: «ⓘ: you seek me not because you saw ⓘ, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.

ἐργάζεσθε μὴ τὴν βρῶσιν τὴν ἀπολλυμένην ἀλλὰ τὴν βρῶσιν τὴν μένουσαν εἰς ζωὴν αἰώνιον, ἣν ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ὑμῖν δώσει· τοῦτον γὰρ ὁ πατὴρ ἐσφράγισεν ὁ θεός.
Datevi da fare non per il cibo che non dura, ma per il cibo che rimane per la vita eterna e che il Figlio dell'uomo vi darà. Perché su di lui il Padre, Dio, ha messo il suo sigillo'.
ⓘ not for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures unto ⓘ, which the ⓘ will give you; for on him the Father, God himself, ⓘ».

εἶπον οὖν πρὸς αὐτόν· Τί ποιῶμεν ἵνα ἐργαζώμεθα τὰ ἔργα τοῦ θεοῦ;
Gli dissero allora: 'Che cosa dobbiamo compiere per fare le opere di Dio?'.
They said to him then: «What must we do to ⓘ?».

ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Τοῦτό ἐστιν τὸ ἔργον τοῦ θεοῦ, ἵνα πιστεύητε εἰς ὃν ἀπέστειλεν ἐκεῖνος.
Gesù rispose loro: 'Questa è l'opera di Dio: che crediate in colui che egli ha mandato'.
Jesus answered and said to them: «This is the ⓘ: that you ⓘ in the one whom He has sent as his ⓘ, the envoy who carries the authority of the one who sends him».

εἶπον οὖν αὐτῷ· Τί οὖν ποιεῖς σὺ σημεῖον, ἵνα ἴδωμεν καὶ πιστεύσωμέν σοι; τί ἐργάζῃ;
Allora gli dissero: 'Quale segno tu compi perché vediamo e ti crediamo? Quale opera fai?
They said to him then: «What sign do you do, then, that we may see and have faith in you? What work do you perform?

οἱ πατέρες ἡμῶν τὸ μάννα ἔφαγον ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ, καθώς ἐστιν γεγραμμένον· Ἄρτον ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς φαγεῖν.
I nostri padri hanno mangiato la manna nel deserto, come sta scritto: Diede loro da mangiare un pane dal cielo'.
Our fathers ate the ⓘ in the wilderness, as ⓘ: ⓘ».

εἶπεν οὖν αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, οὐ Μωϋσῆς δέδωκεν ὑμῖν τὸν ἄρτον ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, ἀλλ' ὁ πατήρ μου δίδωσιν ὑμῖν τὸν ἄρτον ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ τὸν ἀληθινόν·
Rispose loro Gesù: 'In verità, in verità io vi dico: non è Mosè che vi ha dato il pane dal cielo, ma è il Padre mio che vi dà il pane dal cielo, quello vero.
Jesus therefore said to them: «Amen, amen, I say to you: it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who ⓘ the bread from heaven, the ⓘ one;

ὁ γὰρ ἄρτος τοῦ θεοῦ ἐστιν ὁ καταβαίνων ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ζωὴν διδοὺς τῷ κόσμῳ.
Infatti il pane di Dio è colui che discende dal cielo e dà la vita al mondo'.
for the bread of God is the one who ⓘ from heaven and gives life to the whole ⓘ».
