Καὶ ἐπὶ τούτῳ ἦλθαν οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ⸀ἐθαύμαζον ὅτι μετὰ γυναικὸς ἐλάλει· οὐδεὶς μέντοι εἶπεν· Τί ζητεῖς; ἢ τί λαλεῖς μετ’ αὐτῆς;
E su questo vennero i suoi discepoli, e si meravigliavano che con una donna parlasse; nessuno tuttavia disse: Che cerchi? o che parli con lei?
And upon this his disciples disciplesⓘ arrived, and they were astonished that he was holding a conversation with a woman; yet no one dared to say: «What do you seek?» or «Why are you speaking with her?».

ἀφῆκεν οὖν τὴν ὑδρίαν αὐτῆς ἡ γυνὴ καὶ ἀπῆλθεν εἰς τὴν πόλιν καὶ λέγει τοῖς ἀνθρώποις·
Lasciò dunque la sua anfora la donna e andò via nella città e dice agli uomini:
The woman therefore left her water jar and went off into the city and says to the men menⓘ:

Δεῦτε ἴδετε ἄνθρωπον ὃς εἶπέ μοι πάντα ⸀ὅσα ἐποίησα· μήτι οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ χριστός;
Venite, vedete un uomo che mi disse tutte le cose che ho fatto; forse costui è il Messia?
«Come, see a man who told me everything that I have done; could this one perhaps be the Messiah Messiahⓘ?».

ἐξῆλθον ἐκ τῆς πόλεως καὶ ἤρχοντο πρὸς αὐτόν.
Uscirono dalla città e venivano verso di lui.
They went out of the city and were coming toward him.
31
⸀Ἐν τῷ μεταξὺ ἠρώτων αὐτὸν οἱ μαθηταὶ λέγοντες· Ῥαββί, φάγε.
Nel frattempo lo interrogavano i discepoli dicendo: Rabbì, mangia.
In the meantime the disciples disciplesⓘ were urging him, saying: «Rabbi Rabbiⓘ, eat».

ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Ἐγὼ βρῶσιν ἔχω φαγεῖν ἣν ὑμεῖς οὐκ οἴδατε.
Ma egli disse loro: Io ho un cibo da mangiare che voi non conoscete.
But he said to them: «I have a food foodⓘ to eat that you do not know».

ἔλεγον οὖν οἱ μαθηταὶ πρὸς ἀλλήλους· Μή τις ἤνεγκεν αὐτῷ φαγεῖν;
Dicevano dunque i discepoli gli uni agli altri: Forse qualcuno gli ha portato da mangiare?
The disciples therefore said to one another: «Could someone perhaps have brought him something to eat?».

λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Ἐμὸν βρῶμά ἐστιν ἵνα ⸀ποιήσω τὸ θέλημα τοῦ πέμψαντός με καὶ τελειώσω αὐτοῦ τὸ ἔργον.
Dice loro Gesù: Il mio cibo è che io faccia la volontà di colui che mi ha mandato e compia la sua opera.
Jesus says to them: «My food is that I should do the will willⓘ of the One who sent me as his envoy envoyⓘ and bring to completion bring to completionⓘ his work.

οὐχ ὑμεῖς λέγετε ὅτι Ἔτι τετράμηνός ἐστιν καὶ ὁ θερισμὸς ἔρχεται; ἰδοὺ λέγω ὑμῖν, ἐπάρατε τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς ὑμῶν καὶ θεάσασθε τὰς χώρας ὅτι λευκαί εἰσιν πρὸς θερισμόν· ἤδη
Non voi dite che ancora quattro mesi è e la mietitura viene? Ecco, dico a voi, alzate i vostri occhi e guardate i campi che bianchi sono per la mietitura; già
Do you not say that yet four months remain and then the harvest harvestⓘ comes? Behold Beholdⓘ, I say to you: lift up your eyes and look at the fields that are already white for the harvest;

⸀ὁ θερίζων μισθὸν λαμβάνει καὶ συνάγει καρπὸν εἰς ζωὴν αἰώνιον, ⸀ἵνα ὁ σπείρων ὁμοῦ χαίρῃ καὶ ὁ θερίζων.
colui che miete salario riceve e raccoglie frutto per vita eterna, affinché colui che semina insieme si rallegri anche colui che miete.
already the one who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit for the life of the world to come life of the world to comeⓘ, so that the one who sows may rejoice together with the one who reaps.

ἐν γὰρ τούτῳ ὁ λόγος ⸀ἐστὶν ἀληθινὸς ὅτι Ἄλλος ἐστὶν ὁ σπείρων καὶ ἄλλος ὁ θερίζων·
In questo infatti la parola è vera che altro è colui che semina e altro colui che miete;
For in this the Word Wordⓘ is true, that one is the one who sows and another the one who reaps;

ἐγὼ ἀπέστειλα ὑμᾶς θερίζειν ὃ οὐχ ὑμεῖς κεκοπιάκατε· ἄλλοι κεκοπιάκασιν, καὶ ὑμεῖς εἰς τὸν κόπον αὐτῶν εἰσεληλύθατε.
io vi ho mandato a mietere ciò per cui non voi avete faticato; altri hanno faticato, e voi nella loro fatica siete entrati.
I have sent you I have sent youⓘ to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labor.

Ἐκ δὲ τῆς πόλεως ἐκείνης πολλοὶ ἐπίστευσαν εἰς αὐτὸν τῶν Σαμαριτῶν διὰ τὸν λόγον τῆς γυναικὸς μαρτυρούσης ὅτι Εἶπέν μοι πάντα ⸀ἃ ἐποίησα.
Da quella città molti credettero in lui dei Samaritani a causa della parola della donna che testimoniava che: Mi disse tutte le cose che ho fatto.
From that city many among the Samaritans Samaritansⓘ placed their trust placed their trustⓘ in him on account of the word of the woman who was bearing witness bearing witnessⓘ: «He told me everything that I have done».

ὡς οὖν ἦλθον πρὸς αὐτὸν οἱ Σαμαρῖται, ἠρώτων αὐτὸν μεῖναι παρ’ αὐτοῖς· καὶ ἔμεινεν ἐκεῖ δύο ἡμέρας.
Quando dunque vennero presso di lui i Samaritani, lo pregavano di rimanere presso di loro; e rimase là due giorni.
When therefore the Samaritans came to him, they were begging him to remain remainⓘ with them; and he remained there two days.

καὶ πολλῷ πλείους ἐπίστευσαν διὰ τὸν λόγον αὐτοῦ,
E molti di più credettero a causa della sua parola,
And many more placed their trust on account of his Word his Wordⓘ.
42
τῇ τε γυναικὶ ἔλεγον ὅτι Οὐκέτι διὰ τὴν σὴν λαλιὰν πιστεύομεν· αὐτοὶ γὰρ ἀκηκόαμεν, καὶ οἴδαμεν ὅτι οὗτός ἐστιν ἀληθῶς ὁ σωτὴρ τοῦ ⸀κόσμου.
e alla donna dicevano che: Non più a causa del tuo parlare crediamo; noi stessi infatti abbiamo udito, e sappiamo che costui è veramente il salvatore del mondo.
And to the woman they said: «No longer on account of your speaking do we believe; for we ourselves have heard have heardⓘ, and we know that this one is truly the Savior of the world Savior of the worldⓘ».
