Ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ ἄμπελος ἡ ἀληθινή, καὶ ὁ πατήρ μου ὁ γεωργός ἐστιν.
'Io sono la vite vera e il Padre mio è l'agricoltore.
«I am the vine, the true one — the ⓘ true vine, and my Father is the ⓘ.

πᾶν κλῆμα ἐν ἐμοὶ μὴ φέρον καρπὸν αἴρει αὐτό, καὶ πᾶν τὸ καρπὸν φέρον καθαίρει αὐτὸ ἵνα καρπὸν πλείονα φέρῃ.
Ogni tralcio che in me non porta frutto, lo taglia, e ogni tralcio che porta frutto, lo pota perché porti più frutto.
Every ⓘ in me that bears no fruit, he takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, he ⓘ so that it may bear more fruit.

ἤδη ὑμεῖς καθαροί ἐστε διὰ τὸν λόγον ὃν λελάληκα ὑμῖν·
Voi siete già puri, a causa della parola che vi ho annunciato.
Already you are clean — ⓘ — because of the word that ⓘ.

μείνατε ἐν ἐμοί, κἀγὼ ἐν ὑμῖν. καθὼς τὸ κλῆμα οὐ δύναται καρπὸν φέρειν ἀφ' ἑαυτοῦ ἐὰν μὴ μένῃ ἐν τῇ ἀμπέλῳ, οὕτως οὐδὲ ὑμεῖς ἐὰν μὴ ἐν ἐμοὶ μένητε.
Rimanete in me e io in voi. Come il tralcio non può portare frutto da se stesso se non rimane nella vite, così neanche voi se non rimanete in me.
Remain in me, and I in you. ⓘ As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it ⓘ in the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me.

ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ ἄμπελος, ὑμεῖς τὰ κλήματα. ὁ μένων ἐν ἐμοὶ κἀγὼ ἐν αὐτῷ οὗτος φέρει καρπὸν πολύν, ὅτι χωρὶς ἐμοῦ οὐ δύνασθε ποιεῖν οὐδέν.
Io sono la vite, voi i tralci. Chi rimane in me, e io in lui, porta molto frutto, perché senza di me non potete far nulla.
I am the vine, you the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for without me you can do nothing.

ἐὰν μή τις μένῃ ἐν ἐμοί, ἐβλήθη ἔξω ὡς τὸ κλῆμα καὶ ἐξηράνθη, καὶ συνάγουσιν αὐτὰ καὶ εἰς τὸ πῦρ βάλλουσιν καὶ καίεται.
Chi non rimane in me viene gettato via come il tralcio e secca; poi lo raccolgono, lo gettano nel fuoco e lo bruciano.
If anyone does not remain in me, ⓘ like the branch and ⓘ; and they gather them and into the fire they cast them, and ⓘ.

ἐὰν μείνητε ἐν ἐμοὶ καὶ τὰ ῥήματά μου ἐν ὑμῖν μείνῃ, ὃ ἐὰν θέλητε αἰτήσασθε καὶ γενήσεται ὑμῖν.
Se rimanete in me e le mie parole rimangono in voi, chiedete quello che volete e vi sarà fatto.
If you remain in me and ⓘ remain in you, ⓘ whatever you wish and it shall be done for you.

ἐν τούτῳ ἐδοξάσθη ὁ πατήρ μου, ἵνα καρπὸν πολὺν φέρητε καὶ γένησθε ἐμοὶ μαθηταί.
In questo è glorificato il Padre mio: che portiate molto frutto e diventiate miei discepoli.'
ⓘ my Father: that you bear much fruit and ⓘ my disciples ⓘ.»
