Ἐν ἐκείνῳ τῷ καιρῷ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν· Ἐξομολογοῦμαί σοι, πάτερ κύριε τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ τῆς γῆς, ὅτι ⸀ἔκρυψας ταῦτα ἀπὸ σοφῶν καὶ συνετῶν, καὶ ἀπεκάλυψας αὐτὰ νηπίοις·
In quel tempo Gesù disse: «Ti rendo lode, Padre, Signore del cielo e della terra, perché hai nascosto queste cose ai sapienti e ai dotti e le hai rivelate ai piccoli.
At that time Jesus, answeringⓘ, said: «I give you praise as a berakhah (the benediction of thanksgiving), Father, Lord of heaven and earthⓘ, because you have hiddenⓘ these thingsⓘ from the wise and learnedⓘ and have revealedⓘ them to the little onesⓘ.

ναί, ὁ πατήρ, ὅτι οὕτως ⸂εὐδοκία ἐγένετο⸃ ἔμπροσθέν σου.
Sì, o Padre, perché così hai deciso nella tua benevolenza.
Yes, O Fatherⓘ, because such was your good pleasureⓘ before youⓘ.

Πάντα μοι παρεδόθη ὑπὸ τοῦ πατρός μου, καὶ οὐδεὶς ἐπιγινώσκει τὸν υἱὸν εἰ μὴ ὁ πατήρ, οὐδὲ τὸν πατέρα τις ἐπιγινώσκει εἰ μὴ ὁ υἱὸς καὶ ᾧ ἐὰν βούληται ὁ υἱὸς ἀποκαλύψαι.
Tutto è stato dato a me dal Padre mio; nessuno conosce il Figlio se non il Padre, e nessuno conosce il Padre se non il Figlio e colui al quale il Figlio vorrà rivelarlo».
All things have been handed over to meⓘ by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Sonⓘ and the one to whom the Son wishes to reveal himⓘ».
