v.
Greek
Orthodox Reading
24
Orthodox ReadingNo discipleⓘ is above his masterⓘ, nor is a servantⓘ higher than his lord.
25
Greekἀρκετὸν τῷ μαθητῇ ἵνα γένηται ὡς ὁ διδάσκαλος αὐτοῦ, καὶ ὁ δοῦλος ὡς ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ. εἰ τὸν οἰκοδεσπότην Βεελζεβοὺβ ἐκάλεσαν, πόσῳ μᾶλλον τοὺς οἰκιακοὺς αὐτοῦ;
Orthodox ReadingIt is enough for the disciple to becomeⓘ like his master, and for the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the houseⓘ Beelzebulⓘ, how much more his household membersⓘ!
26
Orthodox ReadingFear themⓘ not, therefore: nothing is veiled that will not be unveiledⓘ, and nothing is hidden without being made knownⓘ.
27
Orthodox ReadingWhat I tell you in the darknessⓘ, speak in the light, and what you hear in the earⓘ, proclaim itⓘ from the rooftopsⓘ.
28
Orthodox ReadingAnd do not be afraidⓘ of those who kill the bodyⓘ but have no power to kill the lifeⓘ; rather fear the one who has the power to make life and body perishⓘ in Gehennaⓘ.
29
Orthodox ReadingAre not two sparrowsⓘ sold for a pennyⓘ? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Fatherⓘ.
30
Orthodox ReadingAs for you, even the hairs of your head are all numberedⓘ.
31
Orthodox ReadingFearⓘ not, therefore: you are worth moreⓘ than many sparrows.
32
Orthodox ReadingTherefore whoever acknowledgesⓘ me before menⓘ, I also will acknowledge him before my Father who is in the heavensⓘ;
33
Orthodox Readingbut whoever deniesⓘ me before men, I also will deny him before my Father who is in the heavens.
