Οὐκ ἔστι μαθητὴς ὑπὲρ τὸν διδάσκαλον, οὐδὲ δοῦλος ὑπὲρ τὸν κύριον αὐτοῦ.
Un discepolo non è più grande del maestro, né un servo è più grande del suo signore;
No discipleⓘ is above his masterⓘ, nor is a servantⓘ higher than his lord.

ἀρκετὸν τῷ μαθητῇ ἵνα γένηται ὡς ὁ διδάσκαλος αὐτοῦ, καὶ ὁ δοῦλος ὡς ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ. εἰ τὸν οἰκοδεσπότην Βεελζεβοὺβ ἐκάλεσαν, πόσῳ μᾶλλον τοὺς οἰκιακοὺς αὐτοῦ;
è sufficiente per il discepolo diventare come il suo maestro e per il servo come il suo signore. Se hanno chiamato Beelzebùl il padrone di casa, quanto più quelli della sua famiglia!
It is enough for the disciple to becomeⓘ like his master, and for the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the houseⓘ Beelzebulⓘ, how much more his household membersⓘ!

μὴ οὖν φοβηθῆτε αὐτούς· οὐδὲν γάρ ἐστι κεκαλυμμένον, ὃ οὐκ ἀποκαλυφθήσεται· καὶ κρυπτὸν ὃ οὐ γνωσθήσεται.
Non abbiate dunque paura di loro, poiché nulla vi è di nascosto che non sarà svelato né di segreto che non sarà conosciuto.
Fear themⓘ not, therefore: nothing is veiled that will not be unveiledⓘ, and nothing is hidden without being made knownⓘ.

ὃ λέγω ὑμῖν ἐν τῇ σκοτίᾳ, εἴπατε ἐν τῷ φωτί· καὶ ὃ εἰς τὸ οὖς ἀκούετε, κηρύξατε ἐπὶ τῶν δωμάτων.
Quello che io vi dico nelle tenebre voi ditelo nella luce, e quello che ascoltate all'orecchio voi annunciatelo dalle terrazze.
What I tell you in the darknessⓘ, speak in the light, and what you hear in the earⓘ, proclaim itⓘ from the rooftopsⓘ.

καὶ μὴ φοβηθῆτε ἀπὸ τῶν ἀποκτεινόντων τὸ σῶμα, τὴν δὲ ψυχὴν μὴ δυναμένων ἀποκτεῖναι. φοβηθήτε δὲ μᾶλλον τὸν δυνάμενον καὶ ψυχὴν καὶ σῶμα ἀπολέσαι ἐν γεέννῃ.
E non abbiate paura di quelli che uccidono il corpo, ma non hanno potere di uccidere l'anima; abbiate paura piuttosto di colui che ha il potere di far perire nella Geènna e l'anima e il corpo.
And do not be afraidⓘ of those who kill the bodyⓘ but have no power to kill the lifeⓘ; rather fear the one who has the power to make life and body perishⓘ in Gehennaⓘ.

οὐχὶ δύο στρουθία ἀσσαρίου πωλεῖται; καὶ ἓν ἐξ αὐτῶν οὐ πεσεῖται ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν, ἄνευ τοῦ πατρὸς ὑμῶν·
Due passeri non si vendono forse per un soldo? Eppure nemmeno uno di essi cadrà a terra senza il volere del Padre vostro.
Are not two sparrowsⓘ sold for a pennyⓘ? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Fatherⓘ.

ὑμῶν δὲ καὶ αἱ τρίχες τῆς κεφαλῆς πᾶσαι ἠριθμημέναι εἰσί.
Perfino i capelli del vostro capo sono tutti contati.
As for you, even the hairs of your head are all numberedⓘ.
31
μὴ οὖν φοβηθῆτε, πολλῶν στρουθίων διαφέρετε ὑμεῖς.
Non abbiate dunque paura: voi valete più di molti passeri!
Fearⓘ not, therefore: you are worth moreⓘ than many sparrows.

πᾶς οὖν ὅστις ὁμολογήσει ἐν ἐμοὶ ἔμπροσθεν τῶν ἀνθρώπων, ὁμολογήσω κἀγὼ ἐν αὐτῷ, ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ πατρός μου τοῦ ἐν οὐρανοῖς.
Perciò chiunque mi riconoscerà davanti agli uomini, anch'io lo riconoscerò davanti al Padre mio che è nei cieli;
Therefore whoever acknowledgesⓘ me before menⓘ, I also will acknowledge him before my Father who is in the heavensⓘ;

ὅστις δ' ἂν ἀρνήσηταί με ἔμπροσθεν τῶν ἀνθρώπων, ἀρνήσομαι αὐτὸν κἀγὼ ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ πατρός μου τοῦ ἐν οὐρανοῖς.
chi invece mi rinnegherà davanti agli uomini, anch'io lo rinnegherò davanti al Padre mio che è nei cieli.
but whoever deniesⓘ me before men, I also will deny him before my Father who is in the heavens.
