GreekΚαὶ μεταβὰς ἐκεῖθεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἦλθεν παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν τῆς Γαλιλαίας, καὶ ἀναβὰς εἰς τὸ ὄρος ἐκάθητο ἐκεῖ.
Orthodox ReadingHaving departed from there, Jesus came beside the Sea of Galileeⓘ and, having gone up the mountainⓘ, he sat down there.

Greekκαὶ προσῆλθον αὐτῷ ὄχλοι πολλοὶ ἔχοντες μεθ’ ἑαυτῶν ⸂κωφούς, τυφλούς, χωλούς, κυλλούς⸃, καὶ ἑτέρους πολλούς, καὶ ἔρριψαν αὐτοὺς παρὰ τοὺς πόδας ⸀αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐθεράπευσεν αὐτούς·

Greekὥστε ⸂τὸν ὄχλον⸃ θαυμάσαι βλέποντας κωφοὺς λαλοῦντας ⸂κυλλοὺς ὑγιεῖς⸃ ⸀καὶ χωλοὺς περιπατοῦντας καὶ τυφλοὺς βλέποντας· καὶ ἐδόξασαν τὸν θεὸν Ἰσραήλ.
Orthodox Readingso that the crowd was filled with astonishmentⓘ at seeing the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israelⓘ.

GreekὉ δὲ Ἰησοῦς προσκαλεσάμενος τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ εἶπεν· Σπλαγχνίζομαι ἐπὶ τὸν ὄχλον, ὅτι ἤδη ἡμέραι τρεῖς προσμένουσίν μοι καὶ οὐκ ἔχουσιν τί φάγωσιν· καὶ ἀπολῦσαι αὐτοὺς νήστεις οὐ θέλω, μήποτε ἐκλυθῶσιν ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ.
Orthodox ReadingThen Jesus called his disciples disciplesⓘ to himself and said: «I feel compassionⓘ for the crowd. For three days now they have continued to remain with me and have nothing to eat; and I do not want to send them away fastingⓘ, lest they faint along the way».

Greekκαὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Πόσους ἄρτους ἔχετε; οἱ δὲ εἶπαν· Ἑπτά, καὶ ὀλίγα ἰχθύδια.
