Καὶ μεταβὰς ἐκεῖθεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἦλθεν παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν τῆς Γαλιλαίας, καὶ ἀναβὰς εἰς τὸ ὄρος ἐκάθητο ἐκεῖ.
Allontanatosi di là, Gesù giunse presso il mare di Galilea e, salito sul monte, si fermò là.
Having departed from there, Jesus came beside the Sea of Galileeⓘ and, having gone up the mountainⓘ, he sat down there.

καὶ προσῆλθον αὐτῷ ὄχλοι πολλοὶ ἔχοντες μεθ’ ἑαυτῶν ⸂κωφούς, τυφλούς, χωλούς, κυλλούς⸃, καὶ ἑτέρους πολλούς, καὶ ἔρριψαν αὐτοὺς παρὰ τοὺς πόδας ⸀αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐθεράπευσεν αὐτούς·
Attorno a lui si radunò molta folla, recando con sé zoppi, storpi, ciechi, muti e molti altri malati; li deposero ai suoi piedi ed egli li guarì,
A great crowd of am ha-aretzⓘ gathered around him (the common folk of the land, not the observant ḥaverim), bringing with them the lame, the maimed, the blind, the muteⓘ and many others who were sick; they laid them at his feet and he healed themⓘ,

ὥστε ⸂τὸν ὄχλον⸃ θαυμάσαι βλέποντας κωφοὺς λαλοῦντας ⸂κυλλοὺς ὑγιεῖς⸃ ⸀καὶ χωλοὺς περιπατοῦντας καὶ τυφλοὺς βλέποντας· καὶ ἐδόξασαν τὸν θεὸν Ἰσραήλ.
tanto che la folla era piena di stupore nel vedere i muti che parlavano, gli storpi guariti, gli zoppi che camminavano e i ciechi che vedevano. E glorificò il Dio d'Israele.
so that the crowd was filled with astonishmentⓘ at seeing the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israelⓘ.

Ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς προσκαλεσάμενος τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ εἶπεν· Σπλαγχνίζομαι ἐπὶ τὸν ὄχλον, ὅτι ἤδη ἡμέραι τρεῖς προσμένουσίν μοι καὶ οὐκ ἔχουσιν τί φάγωσιν· καὶ ἀπολῦσαι αὐτοὺς νήστεις οὐ θέλω, μήποτε ἐκλυθῶσιν ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ.
Allora Gesù chiamò a sé i suoi discepoli e disse: «Sento compassione per la folla. Ormai da tre giorni stanno con me e non hanno da mangiare. Non voglio rimandarli digiuni, perché non vengano meno lungo il cammino».
Then Jesus called his disciples disciplesⓘ to himself and said: «I feel compassionⓘ for the crowd. For three days now they have continued to remain with me and have nothing to eat; and I do not want to send them away fastingⓘ, lest they faint along the way».

καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ οἱ ⸀μαθηταί· Πόθεν ἡμῖν ἐν ἐρημίᾳ ἄρτοι τοσοῦτοι ὥστε χορτάσαι ὄχλον τοσοῦτον;
E i discepoli gli dissero: «Come possiamo trovare in un deserto tanti pani da sfamare una folla così grande?».
And the disciples said to him: «From where, in a deserted placeⓘ, so many loaves to feed so great a crowd?».

καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Πόσους ἄρτους ἔχετε; οἱ δὲ εἶπαν· Ἑπτά, καὶ ὀλίγα ἰχθύδια.
Gesù domandò loro: «Quanti pani avete?». Dissero: «Sette, e pochi pesciolini».
And Jesus says to them: «How many loaves do you have?». And they said: «Seven, and a few small fish».

καὶ ⸀παραγγείλας ⸂τῷ ὄχλῳ⸃ ἀναπεσεῖν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν
Dopo aver ordinato alla folla di sedersi per terra,
And, after ordering the crowd to recline on the ground,

⸀ἔλαβεν τοὺς ἑπτὰ ἄρτους καὶ τοὺς ἰχθύας ⸀καὶ εὐχαριστήσας ἔκλασεν καὶ ⸀ἐδίδου τοῖς ⸀μαθηταῖς οἱ δὲ μαθηταὶ ⸂τοῖς ὄχλοις⸃.
prese i sette pani e i pesci, rese grazie, li spezzò e li dava ai discepoli, e i discepoli alla folla.
he tookⓘ the seven loavesⓘ and the fish, and he pronounced the blessingⓘ, broke them and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples to the crowd.

καὶ ἔφαγον πάντες καὶ ἐχορτάσθησαν, καὶ ⸂τὸ περισσεῦον τῶν κλασμάτων ἦραν⸃ ἑπτὰ σπυρίδας πλήρεις.
Tutti mangiarono a sazietà. Portarono via i pezzi avanzati: sette sporte piene.
And all ate and were satisfiedⓘ, and they carried away what was left over of the pieces: seven baskets fullⓘ.

οἱ δὲ ἐσθίοντες ἦσαν τετρακισχίλιοι ἄνδρες χωρὶς γυναικῶν καὶ παιδίων.
Quelli che avevano mangiato erano quattromila uomini, senza contare le donne e i bambini.
Those who were eating were four thousand menⓘ, not counting the women and the children.

καὶ ἀπολύσας τοὺς ὄχλους ἐνέβη εἰς τὸ πλοῖον, καὶ ἦλθεν εἰς τὰ ὅρια ⸀Μαγαδάν.
Congedata la folla, Gesù salì sulla barca e andò nella regione di Magadàn.
And, having dismissed the crowd, he got into the boat and came to the region of Magadanⓘ.
