Μὴ θησαυρίζετε ὑμῖν θησαυροὺς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ὅπου σὴς καὶ βρῶσις ἀφανίζει, καὶ ὅπου κλέπται διορύσσουσι καὶ κλέπτουσι·
Non accumulate per voi tesori sulla terra, dove tarma e ruggine consumano e dove ladri scassinano e rubano;
Do not store up for yourselves treasuresⓘ on earth, where moth and rustⓘ devour and where thievesⓘ break in and carry off;

θησαυρίζετε δὲ ὑμῖν θησαυροὺς ἐν οὐρανῷ, ὅπου οὔτε σὴς οὔτε βρῶσις ἀφανίζει, καὶ ὅπου κλέπται οὐ διορύσσουσιν οὐδὲ κλέπτουσιν.
accumulate invece per voi tesori in cielo, dove né tarma né ruggine consumano e dove ladri non scassinano e non rubano.
store up instead for yourselves treasures in heavenⓘ that does not perish, where neither moth nor rust devours and where thieves do not break in nor carry off.

ὅπου γάρ ἐστιν ὁ θησαυρός ὑμῶν, ἐκεῖ ἔσται καὶ ἡ καρδία ὑμων.
Perché, dov'è il tuo tesoro, là sarà anche il tuo cuore.
For where your treasure is, there will your heartⓘ be also.

ὁ λύχνος τοῦ σώματός ἐστιν ὁ ὀφθαλμός· ἐὰν οὖν ὁ ὀφθαλμός σου ἁπλοῦς ᾖ, ὅλον τὸ σῶμά σου φωτεινὸν ἔσται·
La lampada del corpo è l'occhio; perciò, se il tuo occhio è semplice, tutto il tuo corpo sarà luminoso;
The lampⓘ of the body is the eyeⓘ: if therefore your eye is singleⓘ — the generous and benevolent eye — your whole body will be full of light;

ἐὰν δὲ ὁ ὀφθαλμός σου πονηρὸς ᾖ, ὅλον τὸ σῶμά σου σκοτεινὸν ἔσται. εἰ οὖν τὸ φῶς τὸ ἐν σοὶ σκότος ἐστί, τὸ σκότος πόσον;
ma se il tuo occhio è cattivo, tutto il tuo corpo sarà tenebroso. Se dunque la luce che è in te è tenebra, quanto grande sarà la tenebra!
but if your eye is evilⓘ — the mean and grasping eye — your whole body will be in darknessⓘ. And if the light that is in you has become darknessⓘ, how great is that darkness!

οὐδεὶς δύναται δυσὶ κυρίοις δουλεύειν· ἢ γὰρ τὸν ἕνα μισήσει, καὶ τὸν ἕτερον ἀγαπήσει· ἢ ἑνὸς ἀνθέξεται, καὶ τοῦ ἑτέρου καταφρονήσει· οὐ δύνασθε Θεῷ δουλεύειν καὶ μαμμωνᾷ.
Nessuno può servire due padroni, perché o odierà l'uno e amerà l'altro, oppure si affezionerà all'uno e disprezzerà l'altro. Non potete servire Dio e la ricchezza.
No one can serve two mastersⓘ: for either he will hate the one and love the otherⓘ, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve Godⓘ and Mammonⓘ, wealth made into an idol.
