Ἀναστᾶσα δὲ Μαριὰμ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ταύταις ἐπορεύθη εἰς τὴν ὀρεινὴν μετὰ σπουδῆς εἰς πόλιν Ἰούδα,
In quei giorni Maria si alzò e andò in fretta verso la regione montuosa, in una città di Giuda.
Then Maryⓘ arose in those days and set out with haste toward the hill countryⓘ, toward a city of Judahⓘ.

καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον Ζαχαρίου καὶ ἠσπάσατο τὴν Ἐλισάβετ.
Entrata nella casa di Zaccaria, salutò Elisabetta.
And she entered the house of Zechariahⓘ and offered the greetingⓘ to Elizabethⓘ.

καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἤκουσεν τὸν ἀσπασμὸν τῆς Μαρίας ἡ Ἐλισάβετ, ἐσκίρτησεν τὸ βρέφος ἐν τῇ κοιλίᾳ αὐτῆς, καὶ ἐπλήσθη πνεύματος ἁγίου ἡ Ἐλισάβετ,
Appena Elisabetta ebbe udito il saluto di Maria, il bambino sussultò nel suo grembo. Elisabetta fu colmata di Spirito Santo
And it came to pass that, when Elizabeth heard the greetingⓘ of Mary, the unborn childⓘ leaped for joyⓘ in her wombⓘ; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spiritⓘ,

καὶ ἀνεφώνησεν κραυγῇ μεγάλῃ καὶ εἶπεν· Εὐλογημένη σὺ ἐν γυναιξίν, καὶ εὐλογημένος ὁ καρπὸς τῆς κοιλίας σου.
ed esclamò a gran voce: «Benedetta tu fra le donne e benedetto il frutto del tuo grembo!
and she cried out with a loud voice and said: «Blessedⓘ are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your wombⓘ!

καὶ πόθεν μοι τοῦτο ἵνα ἔλθῃ ἡ μήτηρ τοῦ κυρίου μου πρὸς ἐμέ;
A che cosa devo che la madre del mio Signore venga da me?
And how is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lordⓘ should come to me?
44
ἰδοὺ γὰρ ὡς ἐγένετο ἡ φωνὴ τοῦ ἀσπασμοῦ σου εἰς τὰ ὦτά μου, ἐσκίρτησεν ἐν ἀγαλλιάσει τὸ βρέφος ἐν τῇ κοιλίᾳ μου.
Ecco, appena il tuo saluto è giunto ai miei orecchi, il bambino ha sussultato di gioia nel mio grembo.
Beholdⓘ, when the sound of your greetingⓘ reached my ears, the unborn child leaped for joyⓘ in my womb.
45
καὶ μακαρία ἡ πιστεύσασα ὅτι ἔσται τελείωσις τοῖς λελαλημένοις αὐτῇ παρὰ κυρίου.
E beata colei che ha creduto nell'adempimento di ciò che il Signore le ha detto».
And blessedⓘ is she who has believedⓘ, for there will be fulfillmentⓘ in the things that were spoken to her by the Lordⓘ.»
