Orthodox ReadingNow it happened that, on a Shabbat Shabbatⓘ, he was passing through sown fields sown fieldsⓘ, and his disciples disciplesⓘ were plucking and eating the ears of grain were plucking the earsⓘ, rubbing them with their hands: at issue was whether this constituted melakhah melakhahⓘ, labor forbidden on the day of rest.
