Εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς τοὺς μαθητάς· Ἐλεύσονται ἡμέραι ὅτε ἐπιθυμήσετε μίαν τῶν ἡμερῶν τοῦ υἱοῦ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἰδεῖν καὶ οὐκ ὄψεσθε.
Disse poi ai discepoli: «Verranno giorni in cui desidererete vedere anche uno solo dei giorni del Figlio dell'uomo, ma non lo vedrete.
Then he said to his ⓘ disciples: «Days will come when you will long ardently to see one single one of the days of the ⓘ Son of Man, but you will not see it.

καὶ ἐροῦσιν ὑμῖν· Ἰδοὺ ἐκεῖ, ἤ· Ἰδοὺ ὧδε· μὴ ἀπέλθητε μηδὲ διώξητε.
Vi diranno: 'Eccolo là', oppure: 'Eccolo qui'; non andateci, non seguiteli.
And they will say to you: «ⓘ Behold, it is there! Behold, it is here!»: but do not go after them nor pursue them — the Torah warns against running after one who announces signs and wonders (Deut 13:2-4).

ὥσπερ γὰρ ἡ ἀστραπὴ ἀστράπτουσα ἐκ τῆς ὑπὸ τὸν οὐρανὸν εἰς τὴν ὑπ' οὐρανὸν λάμπει, οὕτως ἔσται ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ αὐτοῦ.
Perché come la folgore, guizzando, brilla da un capo all'altro del cielo, così sarà il Figlio dell'uomo nel suo giorno.
For just as the ⓘ lightning, flashing, shines from one end of heaven and gleams to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day — manifest and unmistakable as the ⓘ Day of the Lord.

πρῶτον δὲ δεῖ αὐτὸν πολλὰ παθεῖν καὶ ἀποδοκιμασθῆναι ἀπὸ τῆς γενεᾶς ταύτης.
Ma prima è necessario che egli soffra molto e venga rifiutato da questa generazione.
But first it is necessary that he ⓘ suffer much and ⓘ be rejected by this generation.

καὶ καθὼς ἐγένετο ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις Νῶε, οὕτως ἔσται καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις τοῦ υἱοῦ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου·
Come avvenne nei giorni di Noè, così sarà nei giorni del Figlio dell'uomo:
And as it happened ⓘ in the days of Noach, so will it also be in the days of the Son of Man:

ἤσθιον, ἔπινον, ἐγάμουν, ἐγαμίζοντο, ἄχρι ἧς ἡμέρας εἰσῆλθεν Νῶε εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν καὶ ἦλθεν ὁ κατακλυσμὸς καὶ ἀπώλεσεν πάντας.
mangiavano, bevevano, prendevano moglie, prendevano marito, fino al giorno in cui Noè entrò nell'arca e venne il diluvio e li fece morire tutti.
the people ate, drank, took wives, were given in marriage, until the day Noach entered ⓘ into the ark, and the ⓘ flood came and destroyed them all.

ὁμοίως καθὼς ἐγένετο ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις Λώτ· ἤσθιον, ἔπινον, ἠγόραζον, ἐπώλουν, ἐφύτευον, ᾠκοδόμουν·
Come avvenne anche nei giorni di Lot: mangiavano, bevevano, compravano, vendevano, piantavano, costruivano;
Likewise, as it happened in the days of ⓘ Lot: they ate, drank, bought, sold, planted, built;

ᾗ δὲ ἡμέρᾳ ἐξῆλθεν Λὼτ ἀπὸ Σοδόμων, ἔβρεξεν πῦρ καὶ θεῖον ἀπ' οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἀπώλεσεν πάντας.
ma, nel giorno in cui Lot uscì da Sòdoma, piovve fuoco e zolfo dal cielo e li fece morire tutti.
but on the day Lot went out of Sedom, ⓘ fire and brimstone rained from heaven and destroyed them all.

κατὰ τὰ αὐτὰ ἔσται ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἀποκαλύπτεται.
Così accadrà nel giorno in cui il Figlio dell'uomo si manifesterà.
According to the same manner it will be on the day the ⓘ Son of Man is revealed.

ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὃς ἔσται ἐπὶ τοῦ δώματος καὶ τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ, μὴ καταβάτω ἆραι αὐτά, καὶ ὁ ἐν ἀγρῷ ὁμοίως μὴ ἐπιστρεψάτω εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω.
In quel giorno, chi si troverà sulla terrazza e avrà lasciato le sue cose in casa, non scenda a prenderle; così, chi si troverà nel campo, non torni indietro.
On that day, whoever is on the ⓘ housetop and has his belongings inside the house, let him not go down to take them; and whoever is in the field, in the same way let him not turn back.

μνημονεύετε τῆς γυναικὸς Λώτ.
Ricordatevi della moglie di Lot.
ⓘ Remember Lot's wife.

ὃς ἐὰν ζητήσῃ τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ περιποιήσασθαι ἀπολέσει αὐτήν, ὃς δ' ἂν ἀπολέσῃ ζῳογονήσει αὐτήν.
Chi cercherà di salvare la propria vita, la perderà; ma chi la perderà, la manterrà viva.
Whoever seeks to ⓘ life will lose it, but whoever loses it ⓘ will preserve it in life.

λέγω ὑμῖν, ταύτῃ τῇ νυκτὶ ἔσονται δύο ἐπὶ κλίνης μιᾶς, ὁ εἷς παραλημφθήσεται καὶ ὁ ἕτερος ἀφεθήσεται·
Io vi dico: in quella notte, due si troveranno nello stesso letto: l'uno verrà portato via e l'altro lasciato;
I tell you: in that night there will be two ⓘ upon one bed: the one will be ⓘ taken and the other ⓘ left.

ἔσονται δύο ἀλήθουσαι ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό, ἡ μία παραλημφθήσεται, ἡ δὲ ἑτέρα ἀφεθήσεται.
due donne staranno a macinare nello stesso luogo: l'una verrà portata via e l'altra lasciata.
There will be two women grinding together at the mill: the one will be taken and the other left.

καὶ ἀποκριθέντες λέγουσιν αὐτῷ· Ποῦ, κύριε; ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Ὅπου τὸ σῶμα, ἐκεῖ καὶ οἱ ἀετοὶ ἐπισυναχθήσονται.
Allora gli chiesero: «Dove, Signore?». Ed egli disse loro: «Dove sarà il cadavere, lì si raduneranno insieme anche gli avvoltoi».
They, ⓘ answered him: «Where will this happen, ⓘ Lord?» And he said to them: «ⓘ Where the corpse is, there also the vultures will gather».
