Ἀκούσας δέ τις τῶν συνανακειμένων ταῦτα εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Μακάριος ὅστις φάγεται ἄρτον ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ τοῦ θεοῦ.
Uno dei commensali, avendo udito questo, gli disse: «Beato chi prenderà cibo nel regno di Dio!».
Having heard this, one of the fellow guests fellow guestsⓘ said to him: «Blessed is whoever shall eat bread in the Kingdom of God Kingdom of Godⓘ!».

ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Ἄνθρωπός τις ἐποίει δεῖπνον μέγα, καὶ ἐκάλεσεν πολλοὺς
Gli rispose: «Un uomo diede una grande cena e fece molti inviti.
He said to him: «A man was holding a great supper supperⓘ and invited many,

καὶ ἀπέστειλεν τὸν δοῦλον αὐτοῦ τῇ ὥρᾳ τοῦ δείπνου εἰπεῖν τοῖς κεκλημένοις· Ἔρχεσθε, ὅτι ἤδη ἕτοιμά ἐστιν.
All'ora della cena, mandò il suo servo a dire agli invitati: 'Venite, è pronto'.
and at the hour of the supper he sent his servant servantⓘ to say to those invited invitedⓘ: Come, for now it is ready.

καὶ ἤρξαντο ἀπὸ μιᾶς πάντες παραιτεῖσθαι. ὁ πρῶτος εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Ἀγρὸν ἠγόρασα καὶ ἔχω ἀνάγκην ἐξελθὼν ἰδεῖν αὐτόν· ἐρωτῶ σε, ἔχε με παρῃτημένον.
Ma tutti, uno dopo l'altro, cominciarono a scusarsi. Il primo gli disse: 'Ho comprato un campo e devo andare a vederlo; ti prego di scusarmi'.
And they all began, with one accord, to excuse themselves excuse themselvesⓘ. The first said to him: I bought a field fieldⓘ and I must go out to see it; I beg you, hold me excused.

καὶ ἕτερος εἶπεν· Ζεύγη βοῶν ἠγόρασα πέντε καὶ πορεύομαι δοκιμάσαι αὐτά· ἐρωτῶ σε, ἔχε με παρῃτημένον.
Un altro disse: 'Ho comprato cinque paia di buoi e vado a provarli; ti prego di scusarmi'.
And another said: I bought five yoke of oxen oxenⓘ and I am going to test them; I beg you, hold me excused.

καὶ ἕτερος εἶπεν· Γυναῖκα ἔγημα καὶ διὰ τοῦτο οὐ δύναμαι ἐλθεῖν.
Un altro disse: 'Mi sono appena sposato e perciò non posso venire'.
And another said: I took a wife wifeⓘ and for this reason I cannot come.

καὶ παραγενόμενος ὁ δοῦλος ἀπήγγειλεν τῷ κυρίῳ αὐτοῦ ταῦτα. τότε ὀργισθεὶς ὁ οἰκοδεσπότης εἶπεν τῷ δούλῳ αὐτοῦ· Ἔξελθε ταχέως εἰς τὰς πλατείας καὶ ῥύμας τῆς πόλεως καὶ τοὺς πτωχοὺς καὶ ἀναπήρους καὶ τυφλοὺς καὶ χωλοὺς εἰσάγαγε ὧδε.
Al suo ritorno il servo riferì tutto questo al suo padrone. Allora il padrone di casa, adirato, disse al servo: 'Esci subito per le piazze e per le vie della città e conduci qui i poveri, gli storpi, i ciechi e gli zoppi'.
And, having presented himself, the servant reported these things to his lord. Then Thenⓘ, having grown angry, the master of the house master of the houseⓘ said to his servant: Go out quickly into the squares and the streets squares and streetsⓘ of the city, and bring here the poor and the maimed and the blind and the lame poor, maimed, blind, lameⓘ.

καὶ εἶπεν ὁ δοῦλος· Κύριε, γέγονεν ὃ ἐπέταξας, καὶ ἔτι τόπος ἐστίν.
Il servo disse: 'Signore, è stato fatto come hai ordinato, ma c'è ancora posto'.
And the servant said: Lord Lordⓘ, what you commanded has been done, and there is still room.

καὶ εἶπεν ὁ κύριος πρὸς τὸν δοῦλον· Ἔξελθε εἰς τὰς ὁδοὺς καὶ φραγμοὺς καὶ ἀνάγκασον εἰσελθεῖν, ἵνα γεμισθῇ μου ὁ οἶκος·
Il padrone allora disse al servo: 'Esci per le strade e lungo le siepi e costringili ad entrare, perché la mia casa si riempia.
And the lord said to the servant: Go out along the roads and the hedges roads and hedgesⓘ and compel compelⓘ them to enter, so that my house houseⓘ may be filled;

λέγω γὰρ ὑμῖν ὅτι οὐδεὶς τῶν ἀνδρῶν ἐκείνων τῶν κεκλημένων γεύσεταί μου τοῦ δείπνου.
Perché io vi dico: nessuno di quelli che erano stati invitati gusterà la mia cena'».
for I tell you that none of those men menⓘ who had been invited shall taste tasteⓘ my supper».
