Καὶ ἰδοὺ νομικός τις ἀνέστη ἐκπειράζων ⸀αὐτὸν λέγων· Διδάσκαλε, τί ποιήσας ζωὴν αἰώνιον κληρονομήσω;
Ed ecco, un dottore della Legge si alzò per metterlo alla prova e chiese: «Maestro, che cosa devo fare per ereditare la vita eterna?».
And behold, an expert in the Torah (sofer) ⓘ stood up to put him to the test and said: «Master ⓘ, what must I do to ⓘ?».

ὁ δὲ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτόν· Ἐν τῷ νόμῳ τί γέγραπται; πῶς ἀναγινώσκεις;
Gesù gli disse: «Che cosa sta scritto nella Legge? Come leggi?».
Jesus said to him: «In the ⓘ what is written ⓘ? How do you read?».

ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν· Ἀγαπήσεις κύριον τὸν θεόν σου ἐξ ὅλης ⸀τῆς καρδίας σου καὶ ⸂ἐν ὅλῃ τῇ ψυχῇ⸃ σου καὶ ⸂ἐν ὅλῃ τῇ ἰσχύϊ⸃ σου καὶ ⸂ἐν ὅλῃ τῇ διανοίᾳ⸃ σου, καὶ τὸν πλησίον σου ὡς σεαυτόν.
Costui rispose: «Amerai il Signore tuo Dio con tutto il tuo cuore, con tutta la tua anima, con tutta la tua forza e con tutta la tua mente, e il tuo prossimo come te stesso».
He answered: «ⓘ».

εἶπεν δὲ αὐτῷ· Ὀρθῶς ἀπεκρίθης· τοῦτο ποίει καὶ ζήσῃ.
Gli disse: «Hai risposto bene; fa' questo e vivrai».
He said to him: «You have answered well ⓘ: do this and you shall live».

Ὁ δὲ θέλων ⸀δικαιῶσαι ἑαυτὸν εἶπεν πρὸς τὸν Ἰησοῦν· Καὶ τίς ἐστίν μου πλησίον;
Ma quello, volendo giustificarsi, disse a Gesù: «E chi è mio prossimo?».
But he, wishing to ⓘ, said to Jesus: «And ⓘ?».

ὑπολαβὼν ⸀δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν· Ἄνθρωπός τις κατέβαινεν ἀπὸ Ἰερουσαλὴμ εἰς Ἰεριχὼ καὶ λῃσταῖς περιέπεσεν, οἳ καὶ ἐκδύσαντες αὐτὸν καὶ πληγὰς ἐπιθέντες ἀπῆλθον ἀφέντες ⸀ἡμιθανῆ.
Gesù riprese: «Un uomo scendeva da Gerusalemme a Gèrico e cadde nelle mani dei briganti, che lo spogliarono, lo percossero a sangue e se ne andarono, lasciandolo mezzo morto.
Jesus resumed: «A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell among armed rebels (biryonim) ⓘ, who stripped him, beat him, and went off leaving him half dead.

κατὰ συγκυρίαν δὲ ἱερεύς τις κατέβαινεν ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἐκείνῃ, καὶ ἰδὼν αὐτὸν ἀντιπαρῆλθεν·
Per caso, un sacerdote scendeva per quella medesima strada e, quando lo vide, passò oltre.
By chance a priest (kohen) ⓘ was going down by that road and, seeing him, passed by on the other side ⓘ.

ὁμοίως δὲ καὶ ⸀Λευίτης κατὰ τὸν τόπον ἐλθὼν καὶ ἰδὼν ἀντιπαρῆλθεν.
Anche un levita, giunto in quel luogo, vide e passò oltre.
In the same way a Levite (ben-Levi) ⓘ, having come to the place, saw and passed on.

Σαμαρίτης δέ τις ὁδεύων ἦλθεν κατ’ αὐτὸν καὶ ⸀ἰδὼν ἐσπλαγχνίσθη,
Invece un Samaritano, che era in viaggio, passandogli accanto, vide e ne ebbe compassione.
But a Samaritan ⓘ, who was on a journey, came upon him and ⓘ.

καὶ προσελθὼν κατέδησεν τὰ τραύματα αὐτοῦ ἐπιχέων ἔλαιον καὶ οἶνον, ἐπιβιβάσας δὲ αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὸ ἴδιον κτῆνος ἤγαγεν αὐτὸν εἰς πανδοχεῖον καὶ ἐπεμελήθη αὐτοῦ.
Gli si fece vicino, gli fasciò le ferite, versandovi olio e vino; poi lo caricò sulla sua cavalcatura, lo portò in un albergo e si prese cura di lui.
He drew near to him, bound up his wounds, pouring on them ⓘ, set him on his own mount, and brought him to an inn, taking care of him.

καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν ⸀αὔριον ἐκβαλὼν ⸂δύο δηνάρια ἔδωκεν⸃ τῷ πανδοχεῖ καὶ ⸀εἶπεν· Ἐπιμελήθητι αὐτοῦ, καὶ ὅ τι ἂν προσδαπανήσῃς ἐγὼ ἐν τῷ ἐπανέρχεσθαί με ἀποδώσω σοι.
Il giorno seguente tirò fuori due denari e li diede all'albergatore, dicendo: Abbi cura di lui; ciò che spenderai in più, te lo pagherò al mio ritorno.
The next day he took out ⓘ and gave them to the innkeeper, saying: Take care of him, and whatever you spend more I will repay you on my return.

⸀τίς τούτων τῶν τριῶν πλησίον δοκεῖ σοι γεγονέναι τοῦ ἐμπεσόντος εἰς τοὺς λῃστάς;
Chi di questi tre ti sembra sia stato prossimo di colui che è caduto nelle mani dei briganti?».
Which of these three seems to you to have been ⓘ to the one who fell among the armed rebels?».

ὁ δὲ εἶπεν· Ὁ ποιήσας τὸ ἔλεος μετ’ αὐτοῦ. εἶπεν ⸀δὲ αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Πορεύου καὶ σὺ ποίει ὁμοίως.
Quello rispose: «Chi ha avuto compassione di lui». Gesù gli disse: «Va' e anche tu fa' così».
He answered: «ⓘ». And Jesus said to him: «ⓘ».
