GreekΕἶπεν δὲ πρὸς τοὺς μαθητὰς ⸀αὐτοῦ· Ἀνένδεκτόν ἐστιν τοῦ ⸂τὰ σκάνδαλα μὴ ἐλθεῖν⸃, ⸂πλὴν οὐαὶ⸃ δι’ οὗ ἔρχεται·
Orthodox ReadingHe said to the disciples: «It is inevitable that stumbling-blocksⓘ should come, but woe to the one through whose fault they come.

Greekλυσιτελεῖ αὐτῷ εἰ ⸂λίθος μυλικὸς⸃ περίκειται περὶ τὸν τράχηλον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔρριπται εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν ἢ ἵνα σκανδαλίσῃ ⸂τῶν μικρῶν τούτων ἕνα⸃.
Orthodox ReadingIt would be better for him that a millstoneⓘ be hung around his neck and he be cast into the sea, rather than cause one of these little ones to stumbleⓘ.

Greekπροσέχετε ἑαυτοῖς. ἐὰν ⸀ἁμάρτῃ ὁ ἀδελφός σου ἐπιτίμησον αὐτῷ, καὶ ἐὰν μετανοήσῃ ἄφες αὐτῷ·
