46
GreekΤί δέ με καλεῖτε· Κύριε κύριε, καὶ οὐ ποιεῖτε ἃ λέγω;
Orthodox ReadingWhy then do you call me: Lord, Lordⓘ, and yet do not do what I tell youⓘ?
47
Orthodox ReadingWhoever comes to meⓘ and hears my wordsⓘ and puts them into practiceⓘ — I will show you whom he resembles:
48
Orthodox Readinghe resembles a manⓘ who, wishing to build a houseⓘ, dug deepⓘ and laid the foundation on the rockⓘ; then when the flood came and the river burstⓘ against that house, it had not the strength to shake itⓘ, because it had been built solidly.
49
Orthodox ReadingBut whoever has heard my words and has not put them into practiceⓘ, resembles a man who built a house on the bare ground, without any foundationⓘ; the river burst against it, and at once it collapsed, and great was the ruin of that houseⓘ.
